He's definitely a way better athlete, and he makes way more big plays. No doubt about that.

So Joe Flacco is now the highest paid player in the history of the NFL.

The dude had an amazing playoff run, but he sucked pretty hard during the regular season. I'll take the 16 game sample over the 4 game sample. He'll be a disappointment at that money for sure; it would be hard not to be.

It's pretty amazing how different this year's and last year's college QB class compare. Last year had Luck, Griffin, Wilson, and (maybe) Tannehill as guys who look like they could be starting caliber QB's at the NFL level (Brandon Weeden sucks and doesn't count).

This year's top guy is what, Geno Smith? He seems like a guy that'd be a 2nd round pick any other year from what I've read of him, the kind of guy who might need a few years before he'd be ready to go. The next best guy might be Matt Barkley, but he seems like he has Mark Sanchez written all over him, and the other guys available all seem pretty shaky or project-y.

I realize this is incredibly obvious to anyone following the NFL draft even mildly but I just find it incredible what a difference a year makes. KC picked the wrong year to suck, that's for sure.

Tyler Wilson is the best quarterback in this draft. By far.

So what's your reaction to the broncos signing welker? I imagine you are pretty thrilled. I kind of hate that we lost him to Denver, but I do like the guy and am glad he ended up in a good situation. I hope amendola can replace what Welker offered, as he has a similar skill set and pretty much is the same as welker before he came to NE. I just hope he Can stay healthy.

Broncos had an amazing day yesterday.

First they got Welker, then they got a sorely needed DT in Knighton, they got a guy to compete for MLB, then they topped it all off with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

If we can manage to hold on to Dumervil and have a halfway decent draft this team is going to be insanely good.

Fuck Aaron Hernandez. The dude has insane talent, got a five year, $40 million extension before last season, and he up and (allegedly) murders a guy. What a waste, and the Patriots are much worse off for it. People criticize Gronk for his immaturity and how injury prone he is, but at least he doesn't (allegedly) kill people. Really pissed off about this, and I feel terrible for the family of the guy who was murdered, whether Hernandez is guilty or not. With the Patriots releasing him, I doubt Hernandez will be back in the league anytime soon.

He's probably going to spend the rest of his life in prison. Playing in the NFL again is pretty much out of the question.

What's really damning here for Hernandez is that neither of the two other guys they were with have been arrested or charged with anything. They spoke to the police once, and so far that has been the extent of activity on their part.

That says to me that both guys rolled over on Hernandez and are going to testify against him for the state.

Pretty much the opposite of the Ray Lewis situation. All three guys were charged with murder initially, but Ray Lewis agreed to testify against the other two men and the charges against him were dropped to obstruction of justice. In the end both the other guys were acquitted on grounds of self defense (the guys who ended up dead are the ones who escalated it from a verbal spat to a physical fight by breaking a bottle over one of the defendant's heads) and Lewis served time for trying to cover it up (telling everyone who was there to be quiet, throwing away his suit from the night which likely had blood on it).

God damn man.

Three people murdered, two others shot, two brawls, and was also questioned (but never charged with anything) in connection with a separate 2007 shooting.
