And that's why you don't look past any playoff game. Peyton couldn't get the broncos any further than Tebow did, which is funny in a way given how much Tebow is criticized.

Since people tend to treat the Pats beating the Texans tomorrow as a given, in the same way the Broncos winning tonight was a given, I'm a little worried about tomorrow.

The Broncos have to fire John Fox. That was a terrible display of coaching and we did not deserve to win.

At least my football instincts haven't failed me completely this postseason. I thought the Broncos and Pack would win, but at least the seacocks are getting exposed (teehee).

Well the Patriots won and will host Baltimore, a game I predict they will win. Gronk is out for the season though, which blows. Still, the Pats went 4-1 without him (5-1 if you count today) and the one loss was a close one to SF. I'd say my biggest covern is the deep passing game, as they are vulnerable to it and Flacco does throw a beautiful deep ball, for all his other faults.

I'm surprised Seattle came back and almost won. I predict SF wins by at least 10.

So San Diego hired away Denver's OC Mike McCoy as their new head coach. To his credit, he did make an offense headed by Tim Tebow workable, and did re-adapt everything when Peyton came in, but Peyton does seem like the kind of guy who could just be QB/OC, probably even more so than Brady/Rodgers/Brees. It'll be interesting to see if he can get Phillip Rivers back on track after two awful seasons.

McCoy is a fucking terrible coordinator and the praise he gets for the Tebow nonsense is unwarranted. He adjusted the offense because he HAD to, not because he's some genius. Any idiot could see that Tebow isn't one tenth the passer Orton is and to ask Tim to run Kyle's offense would just be asking to lose.

The point is that he is a good passer when he has time to throw and Tebow is not, not that Orton is a winner or a great qb or anything. There are lots of guys that can pick you apart in the NFL if nobody hits them and Orton is one of them. Problem was, our offensive line sucked and Orton is slow, has poor pocket awareness, is easy to bring down, and often even trips over his own feet.

But Tebow couldn't hit 7/10 passes if the defense forgot to show up. We changed the offense because we had a fucking fullback playing quarterback, not because McCoy is some god damn genius. Any retard could see that our old offense was predicated on timing routes and Tebow just isn't capable of throwing them consistently. Never mind a three step drop, the guy can't even take an under-center snap or read a defense. He's a monster and he has heart but he can't throw.

Atlanta choked pretty bad. They had a 17 point lead and fucking lost.

Also, Joe Flacco is better than I have been giving him credit for. Winning in Denver and New England in back to back weeks is no joke. I think he gets this Super Bowl.

I'm surprised the Pats played such a pathetic game yesterday. Defense couldn't stop them, offense couldn't do anything because of drops and good defense. Fuck Bernard Pollard though, that dude is like a Patriots assassin. I thought he broke Ridley's neck for a minute during that game. I do have to give Baltimore credit for winning in Denver and New England, that's no easy feat.

I think SF wins the Super Bowl, but with the Ravens all of a sudden going '07,'11 Giants on us who knows.

Called this.

Kaepernick isn't capable of making complex reads, as Bill Cowher said on the TV broadcast. He reads Crabtree (or Davis, or whatever his first read is) and tries to scramble or throws it away when Crabtree isn't there.

If he were a smarter and more traditional quarterback capable of going through normal progressions he would have seen that Randy Moss has been WIDE OPEN ALL DAY on his second and third reads.

If Alex Smith started this game it'd be entirely different. Not necessarily a 49ers win but at least it'd be a game.

The read option is a fad just like the wildcat and next year guys like Russell Wilson and Kaepernick are going to take huge steps back from where they were this year. You can't run an offense predicated on your quarterback never having to hit a tight window or make more than two reads.

Terrible coaching by the Niners. Why have Kaepernick throw four times in that situation? He's a joke of a passer and a great runner.

Can't stand all this Kaepernick cock slobbering on TV, especially from Phil Simms. His career peaked tonight and anyone who doesn't see that is a fool. He's a gimmick quarterback and NFL defensive coordinators are going to make him look stupid all year next year, just like they did to Cam Newton this year.

nuh uh, I hate him for the same reason I hated Tebow (he's way, way better than Tebow but the same basic criticisms apply). There are plenty of black qbs that were capable of reading defenses and being true pocket passers (Moon, McNair, McNabb, Cunningham, Culpepper).
