The outdoor lacrosse season kind of sneaked up on me, but it starts tomorrow. The Denver Outlaws open the season on the road against the expansion Charlotte Hounds tomorrow night at 5:00. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.com and televised locally in Charlotte as well. Outlaws game schedule: http://denveroutlaws.com/game-schedule/ Outlaws Altitude TV broadcast schedule: http://www.altitude.tv/MoreSports/OtherSports/default.aspx Some games will also be live nationally on CBS Sports Network. |

Sweet. The 4th of July game was a blast last year; hopefully I can make it again this season. |

Outlaws won in Charlotte, 21-12. This was the first game ever in Charlotte and the attendance was encouraging at 6,700 fans. By comparison, the Long Island Lizards were founded in 2001 and they only drew 1,100 fans to their opener today (probably has a lot to do with the Knicks and Rangers both being in the playoffs today, but still). Those numbers would put them fourth as far as average from last year (1. Denver, 2. Boston, 3. Chesapeake). |

Outlaws beat Hamilton 15-6 in their home opener this Saturday. Almost nobody came to the game because it was taking place at the same time as the Mammoth playoff game and the Rockies v Braves, plus it was raining. I tried to head straight there after I left the Mammoth but I couldn't find anyone selling a ticket so I just went home and watched it on TV. Will not miss another game this season, though. So the Mammoth are 2-0 with both victories coming by nine goals, and our best player (Brendan Mundorf) has not yet played in a game. |

Outlaws beat Long Island last night, 19-11. They are 3-0 and will play the Boston Cannons (also 3-0) at home next week. |

Outlaws play the Chesapeake Bayhawks tomorrow night. I will be there, and it should be the debut of DU Pioneer lacrosse phenom Mark Matthews. Also, former Syracuse lacrosse and Cleveland Browns NFL legend Jim Brown has agreed to purchase the MLL's struggling Long Island Lizards franchise. Just Brown's name should do wonders for the team. |

The Outlaws choked on it against against Chesapeake last week, but they beat the Ohio Machine on the road 16-8 yesterday. We're 4-2 on the season, one game behind first place Boston (who lost to Long Island last night). |

Was at the Outlaws game Friday night. They beat the Rochester Rattlers 16-12. Brendan Mundorf had six goals and two assists. After the game they let everyone go out onto the field and they showed (uncut) the movie Old School on Thundervision (Mile High's jumbotron; biggest screen in the state of any kind). So yeah, the whole thing was pretty awesome. |

Just got out of the Denver Outlaws game. We won, then they put on the best fireworks show I've ever seen. Nearly 31,000 in attendance, once again breaking their own single game lacrosse attendance record. Great night all around. |

Outlaws won their home finale 21-7 against the expansion Charlotte Hounds last Saturday. I was there. Yesterday they played the Boston Cannons in Boston and won 17-13. This is probably the biggest rivalry in the league, and the road team seems to win every time they play. Three games left before the playoffs. The top four teams make it, and right now the Outlaws are sitting in second place at 8-3, which puts them just a half game behind top seed Chesapeake. Looks like the Bayhawks, Outlaws, and Lizards are definitely getting in. Boston has the last spot right now, but they're only a half game ahead of 5-5 Rochester. |

Looking good. Let's hope they don't follow in the Mammoth's footsteps and have an excellent regular season followed by a monumental collapse in the playoffs. |

Outlaws won 17-12. That makes them 10-3, tied for first place with the Chesapeake Bayhawks. The Outlaws play the Bayhawks this Saturday in the final game of the regular season, so whichever team wins is the number one seed. Looks like the other two playoff teams will be the Long Island Lizards and the Boston Cannons. |

FUCK YEAH Outlaws were down 12-3 with 11 minutes left in the 3rd, and then scored 10 straight to win 13-12. League and team MVP Mundorf didn't play because he sprained his ankle in practice, so the comeback was that much more unlikely. We play tomorrow at 1:00 in the championship game against the winner of today's Boston/Chesapeake game. I really hope Mundorf can play. |
