So I have definitely made up my mind to get Rayman Origins, but I am unsure which version would be the best. 3DS version: -Has 3D and is supposed to be fucking awesome. System has both a good d-pad and good analog stick. -Doesn't support multiplayer PS3 version: -Full 1080p, has multiplayer -Would be able to use with my Hori arcade stick, which would be great for the platforming segments but bad for the shooting/swimming parts which utilize analog control -Fucking hate the Dualshock 3's analog sticks and d-pad Wii version: -Has multiplayer -No 1080p, only 480p -Supports Classic Controller Pro, which is way fucking better than the PS3 or 360 controllers 360 version: -Has multiplayer -1080p -360 controller is god damn terrible and I would never play a 2D platformer with that d-pad I is conflicted. |

Any reason the PC version isn't in the list, other than your usual anti-Windows stance? That'll probably be the one I'll get. |

PC version: -Fuck Windows -Would work with my Logitech F510, which is better than the PS3 or 360 gamepad in every way -Any resolution I want -NO MULTIPLAYER So yeah. PC, just like the other platforms, is asking me to sacrifice something. All versions of the game ask you to sacrifice either multiplayer, graphics, or control in favor of the others. |

I got it for Christmas on PS3 and have experienced NO problems with the controls using a Dualshock. |

Just because you can play it without problems doesn't mean the Dualshock 3 isn't a terrible controller, because it is. I use it when I have to but the L2/R2 triggers, the d-pad, and the analog sticks all suck. The triggers suck because they're rounded outwards. Prone to slipping and also actuating accidentally. The analog sticks are too loose and, as we've seen with prior Sony controllers, not durable by any stretch of the imagination. And again they went convex instead of concave, which is fine, but if you do go that route you need to put an extra grip on the stick to prevent slipping. And seriously, fuck the fragmented d-pad. I hate that modern gamers consider it "good" just because it isn't broken like the 360 one. Being better than the 360 d-pad is great, but it's still a shitty d-pad. Wait a damn minute. Why does the PC version not have multiplayer? That makes zero fucking sense. I can understand it on a portable, but PCs support multiple input devices without fuss. Then again, Ubisoft's pretty retarded as far as PC gaming goes. Uplay DRM is proof enough of that. |

^I don't know if the PC version has multiplayer as part of the game programming or not. I was thinking purely in terms of logistics. I don't have four PC gamepads and even if I did, I don't think I'd want three extra people crowding around my PC. Sure, I could hook the PC to the television but it'd be just as easy to just buy the game for a device already hooked to the TV in the first place. Want I want is to be able to play with four people, on my TV, with a Classic Controller Pro, in 1080p. But noooooooooooooooooooooooo. So I'm settling for the EX2 Turbo, which is a great controller but not quite as great as the CCP (for platformers, anyway). |

Apparently the PC version WILL support local co-op. It's just a matter of having the controllers and space around your PC to make good use of it. |

Now that's what I was expecting-it's not technically removed from the game. How does co-op in Rayman: Origins work, anyway? I always thought it was purely a singleplayer game, and if it had co-op, two players at most. |
