Bruins finally won a game today. If their hangover doesn't end soon, they'll be hard-pressed to get any type of good playoff seeding or maybe even a spot down the line.

Damn. Boston needs to keep losing so they panic and trade Lucic to the Avs.

I'll buy 'em at a high price.

Toronto isn't suppose to be good at any sports. It is clearly just a fluke.

I don't see their or Edmonton's luck lasting through the season. I expect a crash to Earth by year's end.

Haven't been this disappointed in a loss since game 6 of the '10 playoffs.

Some good ass whoopin tonight. Boston beats Toronto 7-0 and Philly beats Colombus 9-2. I don't see Scott Arniel having a job much longer.

Tyler Seguin got his first career hat trick tonight. And Tim Thomas shut out the best offense in the NHL. Good night on the Bruins front, at least.

Holy shit the Avs came back and won that one.

It was 3-1 when I left work, then next time I checked the Avs had won 4-3 in OT.

The Bruins have caught fire recently, scoring like 5 goals per game seemingly every game. Thomas and Rask are two great goalies, so as long as the Bruins' offense can keep up its end of the bargain, the team should be able to recover from its slow start.

I was at that game. A soon as we were down 3-0 I thought there was no way we'd even attempt a decent comeback. I stood in line for food for a good 20 minutes after the third goal was scored, so I missed Stazz's goal. They played better early in the third, but the true heroics began after O'Brien demanded a timeout and screamed at his team-mates to step up (Sacco didn't say a single fucking word btw, surprise surprise). O'Brien may not be the best defenseman the team has ever seen... he makes mistakes and takes the occasional dumb penalty, but he is one of the best team players I've ever seen in an Avs uni. It just makes no sense to me how a hockey team could be so bi-polar, especially at home. We always come out with our tail between our legs then suddenly decide to put some effort out there in the third, which usually leads to a "too little too late" scenario. If the Avs could figure their shit out and play like they do in the 3rd throughout the entire game, they'd be winning far more hockey games. However, Sacco has no system and couldn't motivate someone out of a burning building so I honestly believe the team won't become a contender until they have a coach who knows what the hell he's doing.

Should be an interesting test to see if the team can pull off a win streak at home tonight against a Calgary team that we haven't beaten in 7 consecutive games.
