Ain't nobody showing up to their games, despite having four pretty good seasons in a row and even making the World Series a few years back. They didn't even manage to sell out their last playoff game.

Colorado Rockies: 75-87, missed playoffs
Colorado Avalanche: 11-18-1, next game 12/20 @ Minnesota Wild
Denver Nuggets: 12-16, next game 12/20 @ Los Angeles Clippers
Colorado Mammoth: first game 12/30 @ Buffalo Bandits
Denver Outlaws: defending champs, first game 4/22 @ Charlotte Hounds
Colorado State Rams football: 7-5, next game Idaho Bowl 12/22 vs Idaho Vandals
Colorado State Rams basketball: 8-4, next game 12/22 vs Long Beach State 49ers
Winnipeg Blue Bombers: 11-7, lost West Division Semifinal

it would probably be better for the franchise in the long run if they do move, since nobody seems to care about them down there despite the fact that the Rays are a great baseball team (and doing it with no money). They deserve a more supportive fan base.

Florida in general is a pretty poor market for pro sports. Especially summer sports (though I know the Rays play indoors).

Miami:
Dolphins (NFL) - People only care about them when they're good

Marlins (MLB) - People don't care about them even when they are good, but they're getting a new stadium so maybe that will help

Heat (NBA) - Historically struggles with attendance even when the team is good

Panthers (NHL) - Nobody has ever given a shit, ever

Jacksonville:
Jaguars (NFL) - terrible attendance history, in danger of relocating

Sharks (AFL) - Actually very well supported

Orlando:
Magic (NBA) - Generally not well supported, but they've done well recently due to a badass new arena, the team being a contender, and Dwight Howard

Predators (AFL) - one of the oldest, most stable, and best supported AFL franchises

Tampa Bay:
Rays (MLB) - no shit

Buccaneers (NFL) - seem to be pretty stable

Lightning (NHL) - at one point seemed to be in danger of moving, but the team has recently turned it around in a big way.

Storm (AFL) - AFL's flagship franchise. Most championships, best attendance history, been in same market over 20 years.

Moral of the story? Only the AFL is stable in Florida. Probably has to do with the fact that
A) It's indoors
B) The bulk of their season doesn't overlap with college football, NFL, NBA, or NHL
C) It's cheap
and
D) The AFL teams in Florida usually sign popular former Florida college players, like the Jacksonville Sharks recently inking Chris Leak to a contract

Haven't the Bucs have problems with blackouts recently? If so, it would be hard to say they are that well supported, even though they have a decent team and a rising QB.

I hadn't heard about any blackouts, but I haven't really looked into it at all. I know the Bucs had great support for most if not all of the previous decade, but they could have fallen off.
