Should be a lot of trades, cuts, and signings soon. Should be interesting to see how the Broncos approach their current quarterback and running back situations. Do you stick with the underrated, proven veteran in Kyle Orton or do you take a chance on Tebow, the high draft pick? Do you count on LenDale White and Correll Buckhalter to stay healthy and help Moreno shoulder the load or do you bring in outside help? Personally I'd like to see them stick with Orton and go out and get a guy like DeAngelo Williams to help out in the backfield. The one thing Orton has never had in Denver was a consistent running attack. He played as well as he did the last two years despite the other teams absolutely knowing that we HAD to throw the ball. But Elway seems confident in Tebow, so we'll see. |

Patriots traded for Albert Haynesworth today, giving up a 5th round pick in 2013 in exchange. I see the deal as a pretty good one, given Belicheck's history of turning malcontents into producers, and when he's motivated, Haynesworth is one of the best DT/DE's out there. The guy is a douche though, and I could easily see him causing problems. But sine the Skins alreade gave him all his bonus money, we could always cut him if things went bad, and lose nothing more than a 5th rounder. If it works out, our D-line will be pretty formidable, with Ty Warren, Vince Wilfork, and Haynesworth up front, with Brace, Wright, Stroud, and Love to fill in or possibly create a four man front. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. |

Well, that's another headcase NE is taking on. He'll certainly be happy with Brady throwing him the ball, but still, Haynesworth+Ochocinco in the locker room makes me nervous. Still, the Pats have a good history of salvaging 2-3 years out of guys like that, so we'll see. He may not be the player he once was, but OC gives the Pats a good down the field option which will open things up for Welker/Branch underneath.

YES The Broncos signed Willis McGahee. That's gonna be a nasty 1-2 punch with Moreno. |

The Eagles are getting stacked on defense, winning the Asomugha sweepstakes (with DRC and Samuel already on the roster at CB) and signing Cullen Jenkins. Still, I don't have any faith in them winning anything, since they always seem to find a way to lose come the playoffs. |

Looks like Denver signed the recently cut Ty Warren to a 2 year, $10 million deal, with $2.5 million guaranteed. He seemed like he wanted to play down south, so this surprises me a bit. If Belicheck cut him, I wonder how much he has to offer, but Denver does need the help up front. |

I'm willing to take a chance on him. DT is the one glaring hole on this team. If we start Orton and Warren plays half as well as he did a few years ago this could be a surprise playoff team. Thank god Elvis Dumervil is back. |

Looks like Orton is going to be the guy this year. Schefter says he will not be traded. I am now liking the Broncos' chances in a weak AFC West this year. |

San Diego is just plain NEVER as good as people think they are. Rivers is a good quarterback, but he's also vastly overrated and Norv Turner is one of the worst head coaches in the leagues. The Raiders showed signs of life last year, but they lost Nnamdi and there's no way they're winning with Jason-fucking-Campbell throwing the ball. That leaves the Chiefs, the surprise winners of last season. I don't think Cassel is the long term answer there, but I suppose we shall see. As for the Broncos, they improved in the two areas they needed to: defense and running game. They added Ty Warren and Broderick Bunkly for DT, they're getting Elvis Dumervil back for DE, they drafted Von Miller, and Champ Bailey is actually looking healthy for once. |

Speaking of the Chiefs, they just gave Tamba Hali a monster contract, 5 years $60 million with $35 million in guarantees. He's good, but I don't know if he's that good. |

Orton looked great in week two of the preseason tonight. 10/13, 135 yards, 1 TD (would gooch smooch been 2 TDs if McGahee didn't get taken down at the one yard line). |
