What are the specs? Or at least the model number?

You could get a pretty badass plasma or 3D LCD TV for 3500 dollars. Not 83 inches, but definitely better in terms of picture quality and viewing angle.
Better than DLP in viewing angle? Probably, if it's anything like my RPCRT, because the image really fades at off viewing angles for some dumb reason.

Better than DLP in image quality? That's a lofty claim, especially if the Mitsubishi set in question is one of their LaserVue models. Reviewers claim those things rival or perhaps even surpass Pioneer Kuro Elites. (But at this point, unless you're getting some REALLY good discounts, you're spending way more than $3500.)

To get back on topic, I still don't have any new displays worth talking about, much less HDTVs. All I'm concerned with right now is finding a female SCART plug that I can use to wire up an adapter for my XV29 Plus so I can see how good RGB out of an SNES looks.

Also, I still need an ideal display for my Xbox. 16:9 (with a 4:3 option so the games that don't support anamorphic widescreen don't look all fucked), component, and capable of making both 480p AND 720p look good, not to mention as little input lag as possible. Any recommendations that won't break the bank?
as far as your female scart is concerned, ever thought about getting something like this:

I got one off ebay for like 12 bucks.
Realtime Last.fm feed. I have everything scrobbling to it.

It is possible to not understand without being confused.
It is possible to be inaccessible without hiding.
It is possible to be aware without being awake.

Check Craigslist for any of the 32 inch WEGA CRT HDTVs from Sony.

They're cheap as shit because they're so heavy, but the picture quality is superb.
Oh, believe me, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

But Atlanta craigslist hasn't been kind to me in this regard...can't find the 34XBR960 I'm looking for, let alone any of its relatives.
