I dunno. I have my mail in ballot, the major candidates are terrible. The Libertarian Party candidate isn't bad, and he's who I'll vote for if I overcome my vote apathy. I mean, the Democrat is a grade-A moron. He was actually the superintendent of my school district when I was in high school. Total doucher. And his policies are retarded to boot. And the Republican is yet another gay-bashing, Bible-thumping old white dude. It's like, get with the times. Dickholes.

Also, there's the governor's race. Denver's shitty mayor vs some Xenophobic Constitution Party member. Pretty high quality entertainment.

But I guess there are some tax cuts I want to vote for.

Also, hoping prop 19 passes in California. Colorado won't be far behind if it does.
Denver Broncos: defending champs, 8-6, next game 12/25 @ Kansas City Chiefs
Colorado Rockies: 75-87, missed playoffs

Denver Nuggets: 12-16, next game 12/20 @ Los Angeles Clippers
Colorado Mammoth: first game 12/30 @ Buffalo Bandits
Denver Outlaws: defending champs, first game 4/22 @ Charlotte Hounds
Colorado State Rams football: 7-5, next game Idaho Bowl 12/22 vs Idaho Vandals
Colorado State Rams basketball: 8-4, next game 12/22 vs Long Beach State 49ers

It looks like the Republicans are going to win big this time around. Looking at the polls, the GOP is going to end up with a minimum of 48 seats. Likely 49 or 50, with 51 and a slight majority being possible.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2010/senate/2010_elections_senate_map.html

Of the states labeled "toss up", Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, and Pennsylvania seem to be tipping in favor of the Republicans and the most recent poll out of Washington has the Republican up by a single point, with previous polls being a 1 point advantage for the Democrat and a tie. West Virginia is trending Democrat, though.

As far as the House goes, it's pretty obvious the Republicans are going to take a comfortable majority:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2010/house/2010_elections_house_map.html

As far as governors go, it looks like the Republicans will have somewhere between 30 and 33 of the 50:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2010/governor/2010_elections_governor_map.html

And it's not hard to see why this trend is happening:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html

His approval rating is on a sharp decline if you look at the most recent polls.

And 74% of people do not approve of the job Congress is currently doing:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/congressional_job_approval-903.html

One thing is for sure... if the Republicans win big they'll road block Obama's agenda, which is good. Problem is, their own agenda is pretty shitty too.

We just plain have to quit spending. Stimulus, bailouts, health care, Iraq, Afghanistan... It's fucking out of control.

Mail in voted already.

I voted Libertarian. It was the only candidate I could stomach. My dad is pissed though since it will probably get the Democrat elected again.

At least Rand Paul is getting into the Senate.

He's not perfect, but at least he's read the fucking Constitution.

He's not as eloquent or credible as his dad. He often says things in a manner which are easy to take out of context. Like when he said that he disagreed with one of the bullet points of the Civil Rights Act, people called him a racist even though he clearly stated that he was in favor of 9/10ths of the Act and would have voted for it if he were a Senator at the time.

But he's still better than literally every other person in either major party.

I disagree with Rand Paul on immigration, but that's really my biggest issue with him. He wants to leave gay marriage and drug prohibition up to the individual states to sort out, which is preferable to what we have now (but still, both should be legal everywhere, period).

He's against the PATRIOT Act, he's Pro-Life, he's of the Austrian School of economic thought, he will not vote for spending increases, he's for a non-interventionist foreign policy, he's for gun rights, he wouldn't nationally ban gay marriage, he's against federal Prohibition, he's not going to try and destroy Evolution in schools, etc.

He's about the best candidate one could realistically hope for from a Libertarian perspective.

leaving gay marriage up to the states is unconstitutional, and so is the defense of marriage act.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Faith_and_Credit_Clause

its the same reason why married people from one state are always considered married in another.its why your drivers license counts when you go out of state

I think if the healthcare thing had a public option it would be more popular. Obama won the election because people wanted a public option, or single payer.
