i find it odd that they would say that considering its their os thats most vulnerable to attacks(not just because its the most common os, though its a major reason). i think it would cause a migration of sorts, or a dramatic redesign of windows would be demanded.

I agree that sick PCs should be banned from the net. If an ISP detects huge amounts of SMTP traffic coming from a residential account they can contact the account holder and give a 30 day notice to get their shit fixed before they drop the ban hammer.

I know. I agreed to fix a computer for some dude who had some infection that sent out a bunch of emails while connected to my IP.
Realtime Last.fm feed. I have everything scrobbling to it.

most isps already block port 25, which accomplishes that task most of the time.
they can encrypt what theyre sending as well, so it becomes very difficult to do that in all situations.

I do think blocking infected users is a good idea in theory i just dont know how it would work
