I seriously don't know how "the" preceded Anthony. One of the chiefs players is grabbing dudes during tackles. I dunno if he's trying to make the other guy cause a penalty or if he's just that effed |

if the 9ers dont pull it around and beat the falcons (which, in all honesty, I really cant see happening) im predicting 4-6 wins, with singletary being fired at the end. |

Fuck Green Bay. The Jets got completely hosed in yesterday's game. Fucking refs think that it's okay to wrestle the ball from the offense and call it an interception after the play is fucking over. But I'll admit that Sanchez played like complete shit in the 4th quarter. All they needed was one fucking TD. |

No idea what to expect from the Broncos on a week to week basis. Last night they slaughtered the first place Chiefs, but we got embarrassed by the Raiders two weeks ago and lost to an inferior San Francisco team last week. On top of that, they beat the Titans and Seahawks and were competitive with the Colts and Jets. But then they lost to the Jaguars. We don't really have any good teams left on our schedule. Right now we're 3-6, but I could see us finishing anywhere between 6-10 and 9-7. Getting our offensive line and running backs healthy looks to have made a world of difference. Now if we can get Andre Goodman back we'll be in business. |

49ers > Broncos. Thats pretty much always been true though. Excluding a few seasons here and there

The 49ers blow, and they will for the foreseeable future due to the distinct lack of a serviceable quarterback. The Broncos, on the other hand, have a guy on pace to throw for 4988 yards and 28 touchdowns. And he only just turned 28, meaning he isn't even quite in his prime yet. Quarterbacks are usually at their best in their early 30s. Plus, Orton's season numbers increase exponentially on a year to year basis: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=8520 His YPA, completion percentage, TD:INT ratio, yards per game, QB rating, and even his pocket mobility have increased each year he has played. So you enjoy Alex Smith. Or Troy Smith. Or David Carr. Same thing, really. |

Im the first to say the 49ers blow. But Troy Smith is definitely better than Alex. Whether hes a legit qb or not is a totally different discussion. It just so happens the Broncos blow too. |

They've definitely earned their record, but I think this team is going to play a lot better in the second half. They were wildly inconsistent in the first, but a lot of that had to due with injuries. Our first, second, third, and fourth string running backs all got hurt (Moreno, Buckhalter, White, Larsen), Brian Dawkins and Andre Goodman (starting CB) have been hurt, Elvis Dumervil (2009 NFL sack leader) is out for the season, Mario Haggan (starting linebacker) has missed time, and our entire offensive line has been in shambles all year. Orton has already been sacked 21 times in nine games (he was sacked 29 times in 16 games last year) and we haven't been able to run the ball for shit. If we can stay healthy up front and actually consistently run the ball, then the other team will have to actually bring their safeties up for once. And when that happens, Kyle Orton picks them apart. The Broncos are clearly a team with potential. They've played an insane schedule so far and came out with wins against the Titans, Chiefs, and Seahawks. And they were competitive against the Jets, Colts, and Jaguars. There are no good teams left on our schedule, we're finally healthy, and it's looking like an 8-8 team could win our division this year. Not saying it's going to happen, but the Broncos are clearly still relevant at this point. |
