Some good stuff already.

Boise State is currently trashing Oregon.

So, who are your teams? What games are you looking forward to?

My favorite team is the Colorado State Rams. They play rival Colorado in the Rocky Mountain Showdown this Saturday, and I'm psyched for it.

I'm also a fan of the Air Force Falcons. Plus, I always root for the big Mountain West Schools (TCU, BYU, Utah) because I want to see a non-BCS school win a national championship. Utah totally deserved it last year.
Kyle Orton (7-4) in 2009: 214/344 (62.2%), 2447 yards, 12 TD, 6 INT, 1 fumbles (0 lost), 0 rushing TD, 87.9 QB rating
Jay Cutler (4-7) in 2009: 253/404 (62.6%), 2671 yards, 16 TD, 20 INT, 7 fumbles (1 lost), 1 rushing TD, 74.4 QB rating

Holy fuck!

LeGarrett Blount, Oregon's starting running back punched a Boise player right in the face after the game.

It was awesome.

I guess I like Penn State, but I dont really follow college football. the way they have it setup makes no sense and i just dont like it.

I have a bias towards Stanford as well, because Bill Walsh coached there. But, I havent seen a single game of theirs that i know of.

College football in general im pretty in the dark about. even though I think the plays are far more interesting, the whole bowl system just irritates me.

No, you got lucky when Bradford went down. OU would have won had Bradford not gotten hurt.

How do you figure?

Because you know, they put up SOO many points with Bradford on the field. Except they didn't. OU couldn't convert third downs and they couldn't stop with the penalties.

Bradford wouldn't have made a lick of difference.

Bradford only put seven points on the board and he couldn't convert on third downs. He was largely just managing the game anyway. Oklahoma was 2/11 on third down conversions.

Bradford's drive summary:
Punt
Punt
TD
Fumble
Punt
Punt

BYU won because BYU is the better team. They even gave Oklahoma multiple chances (4 turnovers versus 2 for Oklahoma), and they couldn't convert.

Look, I get it, you're embarrassed to admit you got lucky this one time. It's ok, you can admit it. Nobody will think less of you.

Trollfail.

Bradford wasn't moving the ball against BYU, and BYU gave Oklahoma more than enough chances. Two interceptions, a missed field goal, a fumble on the goal line, another fumble...

Brigham Young is the better football team. Oklahoma's offensive line couldn't handle it, and that's why they lost.

No, they lost because Bradford got hurt, period. Injuries are part of the game, yes, but in this case, you can't go around bragging you called it, when in fact you just got lucky.

You don't have anything to support that claim.

Bradford didn't do shit when he was in there, so what makes you think he would have done shit in the second half?

He put together ONE drive that didn't end in a punt or fumble. Then he got hurt.

Bradford wouldn't have made a lick of difference. Take your excuses elsewhere. Because if you're going to get into the "ifs", what if BYU hadn't fumbled on the goal line and missed a field goal? That's a ten point swing.

Brigham Young was the better team. Period.

Look, I'm not trying to take anything away from BYU winning. They took what was given to them. But when in OU you have Heisman Trophy winning, likely future starting NFL quarterback running your team, you have a great chance of winning, especially when you take into account whatever adjustments would be made after the half. Instead, OU was run by a quarterback the team was not used to, who only performed so-so. It is my honest, true, 100% absolute belief that OU would have won if Bradford didn't get hurt.

BYU turned the ball over twice AND missed a field goal in the first half. Bradford only got 7 points out of that. The score was fucking tied when the injury occurred, but there's no reason it even should have been close. BYU's dumbass mistakes (missed field goal, goal line fumble) are the only reason Oklahoma was even in the game when the injury itself happened.

Sam Bradford would not have made a difference. He was completely ineffective when he was on the field. There's no logical basis for concluding that Oklahoma would have won had he not gotten hurt, because BYU was outplaying Oklahoma at that point in the game.

BYU was the better team when Bradford was on the field.

Your analysis is bullshit. What would have happened if BYU's starting tailback and middle linebacker hadn't gotten hurt?

Ha, I didn't actually watch one second of the game. I wanted to see how far I could go with this. I would have watched it, but I had to work, and then my college's football game was happening. Which they won.

I watched Air Force win 72-0.

And I reckoned you were trolling, but I like to state my point anyway in case future idiots decide to make the same argument.

In all seriousness though, I do care enough to watch the National Championship game. Who do you see making it there this year?

If BYU runs the table, they're in. They still have some tough fucking games left (TCU, Utah, Florida State).

I think the only lock is Florida.
