The question came through my mind after my mom served me a bloodied piece of steak (She likes it rare) and I just couldn't take a second bite.

I personally like medium well. I tend to be a bit squeamish when blood is in the picture, and I think medium well holds the perfect balance between color & dryness. Well done is just too dry.

EDIT: Just in case somebody here doesn't know the difference:

WELCOME TO THE NEW AGE where wealth is weighed in spirit and Justice flows like fish from our mouths to those who
hear it.
Unstable by its greed, a world we never owned comes tumbling down and
with it, all its kings.
We stand behind the masses.

Rare. Salt and pepper, nothing else.
Thank god.

I was beginning to think I was the only heterosexual on this site.

Its really the only way to eat steak, everything else destroys the flavour. They had steak in Iraq, but they broiled it instead of grilling it. You had to smother it in A1 just to choke it down. War is hell.

I dunno, it was all kinda the same. Certain days they would serve specialities like steak or this gross chicken cordon bleu which was a piece of ham and cheese encased in mechanical separated chicken. A lot of the stuff was really just an analogue of real food though. For instance, they didn't have eggs. Instead, they had a powdered protein they called "Eggs." A strange yellow mush. They got the color right but nothing else.

But now to really answer your question, no, well done steaks are the best because they already have that salty taste to them so you don't have to add it.
