![]() Let's Tap is a party game for the Wii by Prope. It's essentially a list of 5 minigames (Well 4 really, since the last one is more of eye candy than anything else.) The twist of this game, is that you have to put the Wiimote face down on a hard surface (It comes in an official cardboard box that you can use, but any surface will do fine, I personally use my hardcover math book) and tap on the box to have different effects on the games. Since this is a minigame...game don't expect a story of love and betrayal or voice acting by Cam Clarke. I'll just talk about the 5 minigames since that is pretty much all there is to do in the game. MINIGAMES ![]() -Tap Runner: This will no doubt be the game that is played the most at your party. The premise is that there's 4 stick men who are racing in an track (Which reminds me of Tron) with obstacles, in order to make your stick man run, you have to lightly tap on the surface as fast as you can, the faster you tap the better chance of getting a boost you have, the catch is, if you tap too hard your stick man will jump, it may all seem simple, but when you're with a group of friends, and you're all neck to neck, the sheer amount of competitiveness will make your fingers unstable and you will make the mistake of tapping too hard sooner or later. The tracks are filled with obstacles such as ramps that you have time your jumps at, tightropes where you will use rhythmic tapping, swings a'la Pitfall, moving ceilings, high-voltage spheres etc. You can play this game by yourself and the other stick men will be taken over by AI's or you can challenge your friends, I have only unlocked 16 stages, and I don't know if there are more to unlock (I'm trying to get the gold metal in all the stages to see if more will be unlocked). ![]() -Rhythm Tap: Another great minigame, you have to tap the box as soon as the circles reach your own orange circle kind of like guitar hero, only with just 1 line. There are 3 primary circles, the blue ones have to be tapped lightly, green are medium, and the big orange/yellow ones have to be tapped with force, you could just tap normally for each one, and while it will count, you will get less points compared to if you tapped with the correct amount of force. Then there are 2 squiggly lines to break away from the monotonous tapping, the first squiggly line is just a long green one, you just tap as fast as you can while keeping up with the force of a green circle, the next squiggly line goes from blue to orange/red which means that you have to start tapping lightly while progressively getting stronger and stronger in your taps (Lot's of fun ) The songs are all techno songs that will remind you of DDR, you start out with 4 songs and there are 20 total. (Which were a bitch to get) ![]() -Silent Blocks: You could compare this one to the pulling minigames of Boom Blox, but with tapping. You have to take out as many blocks that make up your tower without it collapsing, the lighter you tap, the softer the block will be pulled. There is also a different mode where you have to take out blocks so that the blocks above and below the pulled out block match in color (Like Hexic). ![]() -Bubble Voyager: The singleplayer mode and multiplayer mode of this game are quite different. In the singleplayer mode you control a guy who most traverse through a field of mines while collecting stars, to be honest, the controls are kind of difficult, for example you might tap to make him go up, but he'll go down instead. But since this happens very rarely it's not much of a nuisance, in the multiplayer portion of the game, it's a battle to the death in a stage full of asteroids where everyone moves on the stage like... you guessed it, "Asteroids" You can shoot lasers at each other while collecting powerups. ![]() -Visualizer: This mode is pretty much if you feel like mellowing out. You can use your own taps in different modes to either paint a picture on a canvas, or explode fireworks, or create ripples in a pond complete with fish. The nice thing is that if you tap the box in certain ways you can end up with combos. Conclusion: Great party game! Though I'm sure most people will get bored of playing the single player portion of this game in 2-3 hours, the multiplayer modes will keep you and your friends entertained for nights to come. Though I would knock off points for paying a full $50 dollars for a minigame...game, it only costs $30 bucks! So you have NO excuse to not get it! Let's Tap comes to North America in June 16, 2009, and Europe during the Summer! 9/10 Edited by AzureEm, Sunday, 14. June 2009, 18:28.

Yep, since it's pretty much a light game, I didn't worry about translations and just did trial and error. |

This is closer to an informational tour of the game rather than a review/critique of the product. Not that I mind, just that it's not really a review and the only thiny truly opinionated in it is the final scoring. THe other stuff is mostly just descriptive of what the game is like, and not truly how the person feels. Not that critiquing a videogame composed of minigames is something worth a real critique and I am thankful to know the contents of the game in such a composed and easy-to-read manner. Thanks for the info! |

That's true YIF. It's just the way I mostly review games, since most people enjoy different games. (I for one have enjoyed Dynasty Warriors 5 for than Twilight Princess, so as you can see I have a very abnormal taste :P) This way people know what the game truly has, without hearing my biased views. |

Really? The racing game was a blast at my academy's game night. People kept screaming and laughing, made factions with one another, and the quick turn of events were awesome. Maybe it's not a game for adults
