It's like, we're all here all the time, but we really only babble on about irrelevant bullshit. We never really get into what we've actually been doing. As for me, I finally got my driver's permit (three years later than I should have). I can drive, but it wasn't legal. I couldn't get my permit because they required a Social Security card and birth certificate. Both of mine were destroyed when our storage facility in California flooded, so I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get new ones. Since I'm 18, I can go back to get my license any time. I just have to set an appointment. In the meantime, I need to fix my camper. It needs a new battery, a new fuel line, and two tires. I got the thing for free from my uncle because my cousin was too embarrassed to be seen in it (score!). It looks like this, only the brown lines are blue on mine: ![]() All the electricity and shit inside works, so I have to decide which game system to set up in the back for when school is too lame. What about you guys? What's goin' on? Edited by famicommander, Sunday, 29. March 2009, 18:59.

me like the thread camper/truck = Epic Shitty it took you so long to get a permit, but now you're set up (who would be embarrassed by that?). As for the gaming in it, awesome idea, but I dunno what I would put in there. I think being able to play some Tekken or Virtua Fighter in there would be tight. My school schedule is easy this semester besides Japanese which is a fun class anyway. But I don't have much homework in my other classes, so I've been pretty bored. It's given me time to pick up my bass and start practicing more. And then of course I do the usual--smoke, read, game. I've gotten into Starcraft recently, cause my friend forced me to play it with him one night, and now I'm really into it. |

sweet. I got a Fender Jazz Bass like 1 year ago (my first real bass, had a POS before that) and have been trying to teach myself. I listen to just about everything, so if I hear some funky line I like, I try to learn it. But, yea, that's cool man. Didn't you record some stuff? Or is that somebody else? I visited my gf over the weekend in Blackburg, VA (she attends Virginia Tech), and my friend came with me. We had a good time. Unfortunately I left a book of American short stories at her house and have a paper to write on one of them due Thursday, so that sucks. I'll have to look up the short story online, because a three hour drive isn't worth getting the book. Kinda ironic because last week I left my history book there and the week before that my headphones. |

Oh, I gave up on that shit a long time ago. I wish they had enough respect for themselves to pull shows when they've jumped the shark. The new Futurama movies are pretty bad, as well. |

Back to gaming in the camper, I was thinking that a disc-based system would be too fragile for the camper. So it's down to one of my cartridge systems: Atari 2600 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar Colecovision (currently broken) Intellivision NES SNES Nintendo 64 SEGA Master System SEGA Genesis Turbografx-16 Which do you think is good for a camper? I'm sort of leaning N64 due to multiplayer, but then again the Atari 7800 is fucking sweet. And I'm a huge SEGA fan, so I dunno. |

Spring Break is over tomorrow for me, so I had a shit load of unfinished Geometry/Biology homework to do today. I also had an essay I had to write about what a hero is and who I think is worthy of being called a hero for English class (we're discussing this stuff as we read "The Odyssey"). I wrote it about Captain Kirk, so I knew everything I needed to know and had it done within 30 minutes. |

Hah, I have yet to step up to a Fender myself. I'm jamming with a Squier Vintage Modified right now (it's not quite POS-status, but it's certainly not that great) but I'm saving money for one. ![]() That was Dave that did the recording. I just jam to myself usually.

Ah. Squiers give you a good bang for your buck. I had a friend who was real good at guitar who I used to play with, and we had such good times just jamming. But then I decided to move like a puss, and now I have to play alone. |
