Fresh rain just graced the streets and the refreshing aroma of wet cement lingered throughout the narrow alley. There wasn't too much traffic, just the familiar faces. The blackboard sign outside the storefront stood its ground despite the recent rain, although its contents lost most of their integrity resulting in streaks of colours running the length of the board. The store was never too busy, but a steady flow of customers came in and out, most repeat customers, but occasionally a new face or two wanders into the hidden doorway. She's watched the store through the ages, and little has changed. The same blackboard was brought out every day, the same bell hung on the same door to announce the entrance of a customer. Despite an ever changing world around it, the shop stayed as it was, refusing to conform. Perhaps that's why it was going to be closing soon. After many years of struggling, the owners have finally decided to yield to their more modern competitors. Despite their fate being predetermined, the shop still opens every day, serving their regulars — who knew that in a few short weeks, they will need to find a new place to call their own. The woman sat, perched on the roof of an opposing building watching as customers enter and leave. A small white porcelain saucer sat in one of her hands, the other held a tiny three pronged fork. Atop the saucer was a slice cheesecake; not just any cheesecake, a slice of very special cheesecake. Had it not rained earlier, the blackboard would have read "Today's Special: New-York Style Blackberry". The omission of "cheesecake" was no accident, anybody who didn't know probably wouldn't have found themselves gazing upon the sign in the first place. The prongs of the fork met the silky body of the cake, a small dimple formed on the top of the cake before the cream cheese surrendered and allowed the fork entry. Before its entry into her now watering mouth, the piece of cake is dipped in the sauce which formed a puddle around the cake. For a final touch, a piece of blackberry carefully scooped onto the fork: the perfect bite. At some point between when the first piece touched her tongue and when the last piece entered her stomach she succumb to a state of indescribable ecstasy. The mixture of cake, sauce and fresh berry intermingled and combined in her mouth to induce a chemical reaction, increasing her production of endorphins to a point where she's overwhelmed by an inexplicable happiness. After each bite, she succumb to the carnal desire for more of the substance until finally the last piece is finished. As she placed the fork on the saucer, a sudden realization occurred: the shop was closing in a couple of weeks. Now that just won't do. Sure, she could find a new place to eat, but the cozy little shop has nestled its own place into her heart. She leaped off the roof and placed the now dirty saucer onto one of the empty tables. From the conversations he's heard over the years, the store's insured for natural disasters. What could be more disastrous than an Espada in the realm of the living? **OPEN! FUCK YEAH SPEED! His eyes dilated in excitement. The blood rushed through his veins as his heart pumped. His adrenalin spiked as he reved the engine. FASTER FASTER!! He pushed his white steed to go faster. Weaving in and out of traffic invisivble to his presence. He was one with his machine. As a spiritual being he could drive as fast and as hard as he wanted with impunity. No cop was going to stop him! He was the king of this road! He was an invisible monarchwho exerted his control by driving his motorcycle beyond the limit. How fast was he going now? At least 200mph. It was a speed unheard of by normal means esspecially in the rain. The rain crashed and danced off his helmet impeding him no less than the air in front of him. His crimson longcoat that made up part of his arrancar uniform (if you could call it that) billowed dramatically as he swerved around a corner nearly crashing into uncoming traffic. A quick and speedy manuver slid him around in a 360 narrowly avoiding a semi-truck. YES Ten points!" he said outloud as cut off a white sedan. The only thing he disliked about his motorcyle was due to the double wheel/tread system on the back he couldn't pop wheelies. However it was a small price to pay for the sheer speed this beast put out. "MORE MORE 20 points!" he spun around a black SUV nearly crashing into it. A needle's breth away and he would have been street pizza. The white straps attached to his jacket fluttered about and he laughed. "30 points, big combo!" he twisted his machine around a old beater without losing speed then around another, a off green hatchback, in a near figure eight. "AHAHAHAHA I LOVE KARAKURA TOWN!!" he reved the engine some more and nearly pushed the redline as he sped onward. The pounding rain making the ground slippery was half the fun of driving like he had a death wish. He blew by a fruit truck and flipped the drive off as he went by. "Bonus +10 points to next trick!" he yelled. It was like sex for him. For Crinos the aggressive grace and glory of going fast was the greatest feeling in the world. With a twist he pushed his metal steed to the absolute limits of its speed, 220... 240... 260... 280mph the fastest it could go as he spun and weaved with expert timing around seven cars and did a donut at the end. "Massive combo! Awesome multiplier, 100 points, fuck yeah bitches!" He sped on eventually coming to a stop where Seikoko landed. Sensing her presence as who she was already he smiled and took his helmet off before reving the white demon up again and calling out, "Hey baby, wanna take a ride on my chariot?" |

A few steps away from the exit of the alley the sky, buildings and asphalt stacked together to form calm backdrop. Aside from the busy traffic, it was a lazy afternoon. Dogs were yawning, cats falling asleep on the porch. She couldn't help but feel at home. Not one for constant excitement, she quite liked the lifestyle she'd developed as a part of the Espada. Perhaps her favorite part of the "job" was the down time; other than the usual "wreak havoc", there really wasn't much to do thus her little trip to the material world to save the best little cheesecake shop was made possible. As soon as she step foot on the sidewalk, a distant buzzing caught her attention. As she turned toward the sound, it got louder and louder until she could make out the source of that deafening noise. She watched with an annoyed expression as he got ever closer to her location, she became increasingly annoyed by the booming sound of the engine. She watched as his bike halted in front of her. "Nice ride..." Her eyes met briefly with the man on the motor vehicle before they began to dance all over the shiny hunk of metal. "It's a shame you treat her so roughly." The woman walked toward the bike and its rider, ignoring the passing traffic; despite her rather slow strides, she somehow made it past all the vehicles without stopping. Her hand was placed on the composite body of the bike, putting a little bit of her weight on it. Pushing bits of hair away from her face, she looked toward him and smiled. "No thanks, I think I'll walk." She pushed off the bike and turned away, walking back past the busy street full of traffic toward the safety of the sidewalk. "If you ever feel like giving her up to someone who will treat her right, you know where to find me." |
