Vobiakahte Basic Details Aliases: Vobiakah, Vobia, Patchwork Man, Gregory Age: 82 Gender: Male (mostly) Race: Caucasian (mostly) Rank: Demon Soldier Appearance Height: 6'2" Weight: 190 lbs Physique: Fairly tall and muscular, though well within human standards. Hair Style & Color: Shoulder length, black, greasy. Here and there, bits of blond or redhead stand out. But in all areas, the hair is thick, knotted, and grimy. Facial Hair: Several days worth of stubble, enough to make him look disheveled. Tattoos & Piercings: Bits of tattoo begin on his chest and arm, but end abruptly at the stitches. Scars & Birthmarks: Covering his entire body, the Patchwork Man has stitches sewing old scars shut. At most of these junctions, his skin tone changes from one side of the wound to the other. Physical Description: Human Appearance: In human guise, the Patchwork Man's scars and stitches fade to nothing, and his skin takes on a solid color, a gritty tanned look. His hair also becomes solid black, though it retains it's grungy look. His eyes are jaded, and he looks like a hobo. His facial hair makes it appear as though he hasn't shaved for several days, and he has a slightly desperate look to him. Gregory doesn't look particularly dangerous, just pathetic. A smell of alchohol hangs in the air around him. Supernatural Appearance: In supernatural form, the Patchwork Man is simply a patchwork. His flesh is broken every few inches by a set of heavy stitches, ending that particular set of flesh with a sudden transition into the next. This skin belonged to people of all races, although it is predominately white. The flesh below the skin also belongs to several people, and in some places, several layers of muscle are sewn onto eachother to fill in the gaps, say, where he used the muscles of cheerleaders next to that of a linebacker. His eyes are two sepparate colors, one orange, one green. A putrid sweet smell permeates the air, the smell of his own rotting flesh. One of the dividing lines between different sets of flesh goes directly between his eyes, crossing his face on a diagonal line. Clothing: Human: Ripped, tattered jeans and a torn flannel, over a ragged white tee shirt. His clothing is always grungy and ruined. He wears a pair of brandless sneakers, coated with mud and with holes along where the sole meets the rest of his shoe. Supernatural: In his supernatural form, the Patchwork Man wears clothing that is taken, appropriately enough, from the bodies of his victims. He doesn't go to the effort of making it into an actual patchwork like his skin, but he uses only one article of clothing from each person, only replacing existing ones when old bits wear out. Currently he has a tye-dye t-shirt, a football jacket (red, with white sleeves), a single black fingerless glove, jeans, two unmatching sneakers (one nike, one reebok), and a plethora of silver and gold necklaces. Almost all of it is covered in bloodstains. Personality Overview: The Patchwork Man was tortured and unpopular as a human, and now, he kills things as revenge. He will usually only kill people that remind him in some way of those who ostracized him. However, that is nearly everyone. Only people who seem universally disliked usually have a chance of not being attacked. Sometimes he will leave victims alive, but disfigured in a way that makes them understand his pain. He prefers to torment them as much as possible before their actual death, and then takes part of them with him, as though it would make him more like them. Other than that basic goal and desire, he doesn't much care, and will ally himself with angels or demons alike. In most events of angelic alliances, he is to either scare people into worshipping the angel for protection, then lose a staged fight, in return for unchecked murders of others, or kill a segment of the human population that causes annoyance to the angel in question but the angel can't harm because of their restrictions. In his free time, the Patchwork Man likes to make little dolls, and work on his demonic home, which started as a single victim, still alive, and then had flesh sewn connecting them to the walls, and covering all the walls. He'll occassionally leave some of his victims alive and sew them into the walls as well, making the house practically a living organism all of it's own. He'll sew arms into some of the rooms so that he can grab things or people, or search for the remote control for his tv with more efficiency. Some Likes: Killing, suspense, torturing, hearing grown men scream like small girls, sewing, making dolls, people struggling futilely, doing stereotypically evil things for the sake of watching people's reaction, cutting pain, people who refuse to break, hearing people beg for death after a good challenge, bubble baths Some Dislikes: Shrill screams, impact pain, tough guys, people who make things too easy, bee stings, people who act like idiots, peanuts (allergy), needing to wash bloodstains out of things Powers and Weapons Weapons & Gear: A machette, with a worn blade. Though it will cut, it is fairly dull and requires a decent force to cut through anything. It is his main battle weapon. Two belts, worn across his chest in an "X" pattern, each with five small sheathed knives in it. The knives have a handle just large enough to hold, and a blade of two and half to three inches. They are not good combat weapons, although they could work as a stabbing tool. These are used for torture, immobilizing humans, and skinning people. A set of large sewing needles. Although they are very large and could potentially be used as weapons, or torture devices he doesn't use them as such, ever. That could damage the implements he uses to sew. A large spool of super thick black thread. Used to sew new body parts where the old ones were. Outstanding Attributes: N/A Powers: Absorbtion - By peeling flesh, muscle, bones, or organs from another being and attaching them elsewhere, he can make them stay alive for far longer than they normally would. Though they will still rot, the decay is slowed, allowing him to scavenge for extra body parts. The animation lasts until either the thread is removed, or the part decays enough to lose it's ability to act. If not attached to his own body, the parts will follow the commands of whomever they are attached to unless he wills otherwise. However, if he is not in the proximity, the human's will can supercede his own. Also, it has to be attached to a living thing in order to respond to his will, he can't use this to reanimate corpses at his command. However, it will remain alive, though inanimate and still rots slowly, if attached to something else. History Born Gregory Cunniham, the Patchwork Man was rejected from life before it even began. The product of a drunken mistake, he was raised by a single parent, who didn't exactly want a kid to begin with, and didn't know how to raise one. Gregory was an outcast all his life, the kid who played alone at the playground, the one in the corner of every classroom, the one never invited to parties. At the age of 28, he snapped, killing people at his tenth high school reunion, and barricading himself in the school with everyone he hadn't yet killed. Violently murdering most of the people who had been his graduating class, he eventually found himself gunned down by the police. His profound hatred kept him in a state of near-life, and he discovered, several days later, that his disappearance hadn't been permanent...however, his flesh had begun to sag and decay. It became worse and worse as time went on, until Gregory Cunniham, in a fit of despair, tried fortifying himself with the flesh of a drifter. The ameteur graft took, and he went on to slowly realize what he was, and where he could call his new home. Gregory Cunniham became Vobiakahte. The children of the neighborhood would have a new jumprope chant. I'm tough I'm rough And I'm third dan And I'm not afraid of the Patchwork Man. Unlike the boogeyman, however, the Patchwork Man showed up. Contact Details Preferred Name: Kindred Spirit, Kindred, Kinzy.
