I'm not really a big music person, but I've been listening to Sunday Bloody Sunday for the past week or so and just have to say it's a genuinely kickass song, an awesome background for just about anything. I've been trying to think of some others to add, preferably not rap, metal, or 'alternative' (AKA, ear-damaging emo noise). |

Right off the bat I'd say "Somnambulist" by BT. I'd probably also go ahead and say "Thrash Unreal" by Against Me! . |

Alt-rock and emo are two totally separate things! Here's a list of some songs or bands I've been listening to for sheer awesomeness.* Wash It Away by Black Lab Mess, Beat Me, Give, Morning Spank, Hey Mister, and One Day by Custom Anything by Celldweller. Seriously. Any song they've done. Paper Plane by MIA Race For the Cure by Flaming Lips Love Today and Grace Kelly by Mika DANCE by Justice Oxford Comma by Vampire Weekend State of Confusion, Young Conservatives and Definite Maybe by The Kinks Wasted Youth and Life Is A Lemon(And I Want My Money Back) by Meatloaf Piece of Candy, Shopping Cart Jesus, and Queer by 58. Intervention and Black Wave-Bad Vibrations by Arcade Fire It's The End Of The World As We Know It by REM Requiem for Dissent, and I Want to Conquer the World by Bad Religion * Your results may vary. Side effects include headaches, runny noses, and death. |

Hey, I just did this school thing on Wash it Away by Black Lab. Did you know that that song is about a miscarriage? |

I hadn't, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. I just liked it because it's a good tune.

Me, I like just about anything that has a beat to it. Mostly I go with symphonic power metal bands (aka. Nightwish), rock and techno. I like just about everything, but normally I avoid country. Bleh. My kickass songs? "Poet and the Pendulem" - Nightwish "The Cadance of Her Last Breath" - Nightwish "Planet Hell" - Nightwish "Waka Laka" "Walking Slow" - Koyote "Her Portrait in Black" - Atreyu Anything I can speed to basically. |

I prefer a few bands over others, mainly Daft Punk, and Trapt. Though, whenever possible, I avoid religious music and country music. |
