The Principles of Behavior
As always, there are a few ground rules that need to be plotted out before you scatter out and about into our growing forum. The Principles of Behavior exist for that sole purpose- so long as you follow the rules on this page, you cannot go wrong.

  • Plagiarism is taken very serious- it is not acceptable; neither is it tolerated. So if you didn't write it, don't post it as your own.

  • Do not spam! Short and pointless messages are annoying and irrelevant.Do not double post. The Edit button is there for your convenience.

  • Please respect your fellow members. We like to keep this place as calm and mature as possible. If you are experiencing issues with another member, PM a staff member for assistance with your problem.

  • Respect the staff team. We are here to help and assist you. If we point something out that needs fixing, keep in mind that we aren't intentionally trying to be mean, we're just doing our job(s). If you seek additional help, do not hesitate to PM a staff member for assistance.

  • Keep your workspace clean; you will be expected to keep your threads and sub-boards (offices, vaults, and homepages) clear of clutter.

  • Derogatory comments and rudeness are not tolerated on the forum. While abiding the Principles of Behavior, we expect everyone to have proper etiquette. Please try to refrain from swearing; it's natural for any of us to swear in real life, but really, there's no feat in creating a string of abusive language on The Big Book.

  • Fraudulence is not acceptable on The Big Book. If a staff member discovers that you have been abusing WP (Writing Point) privileges, there will be punishment.

  • Unless granted prior consent from the staff members or regular members for that matter, content on The Big Book should not be used or redistributed to outside parties.

With that being said, welcome to The Big Book, dear hearts!
