Kyle struck first, without warning, but I expertly parried and struck a snake-fast blow. He blocked, and fiented left, then struck high. We fought for a while, each blocking every blow the other made. Eventually Kyle started to tire, and I hit him with a powerful upward sweep that sent his sword flying into the bushes and left him with a deep cut on his cheek. "You're good. I'm better," I stated, putting away my sword. "Maybe so, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeve..." he panted. |

NOW! Stephen thought as he jumped out from behind the tree, then created a ring of fire around Leah and Kyle, while running into the cave that would lead up too the sanctuary. When he entered, the ring of fire disappeared. He kept running until he felt he was safe, which wasn't until he was on the second of the cave. "Okay... now that I am up here..." He looked around. "I have too find a way too the sanctuary. |

Frank drew nearer, and swung his knife at me... I hopped about a foot behind me, dodging the swing. I charged him, and threw a punch that drove into his stomach. He hobbled around for a bit, and slashed me again on the arm. "ACK!" I couldn't ignore the pain, this time, so I backed up, and wrapped my arm in an old shirt that I had in my backpack. I cahrged forward, slowly tightening my fist, and hit him In-between the eyes as hard as I could... Breaking his glasses in two, and causing him to fall backwards, slowly... His eyes slowly closing. |

"Well, I guess you're tougher than I thought you were," Kat said, "I guess I owe Leah ten bucks now." "Speaking of which, where is she? She said she'd be right back..." Meanwhile, outside Giant Step... Kyle grinned in a rather insane fashion. "I suppose you've wondered why you haven't seen many GMs around, even though New Morel basically got burned to the ground..." My eyes widened, "You don't mean that..." "Yes, turns out you CAN put a GM in a tube." |

"I'm not sure..." I looked over my shoulder at the few Sharks that were hanging around, looking at me. "Well, go on, then." I said. Most of them started to walk away. Two of them lifted up Frank's unconcious body, and carried it away. I felt something... Something odd. The Sound Stone seemed to beckon me toward Giant Step... "Hey... I have a vauge idea of where Leah might be." I started walking toward Giant Step, slowly. "...Coming, then?" I asked Kat. |

"Oh, and another thing. After your little... spat... with the NKC, you were unconsious for a couple of DAYS." Kyle kept grinning. "With a few hostages, and some other... methods of persuasion, we managed to 'convince' the GMs we'd captured to hand over the secret to their power..." "Oh, SHIT!" I swore. |

Seeing Kyle, I quickly drew my slingshot, picked up a rock, and fired it at him... Narrowly missing his head. "Why, hello." |

"Oh, hello Roy." Kyle said, lazily. "Hand over that Sound Stone you've got, and I won't hurt your girlfriend here." "Excuse me, who's getting hurt here?" I said. "I'm pretty sure I'M the one who just kicked your ass." Kyle paused, and took off his mask. "I think I like this better off." "Now, Leah, as I said, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve..." |

"Pal, two things are wrong with your plan..." I stopped. "One; It's impossible for YOU to hurt her, as she currently is." "Two; You can have the Sound Stone... Oh, let's say... Never." I felt around in my backpack... I'd forgotten to pick up the Gusty Bat. "Shit..." I uttered to myself. |

Stephen walked out the cave entrance on the second level. He still had a bit too climb now. He looked down the cliff and noticed Ninten with Leah having a stand off with Kyle. Stephen reached into his backpack and took out his old sword, the bamboo one, and threw it at Ninten, yelling "Catch!" |
