I installed 2 new 1 Terabyte hard drives in my system yesterday. And, Win7 x64 as well
As is normal with a new OS, there will be bugs and surprises
First one - I downloaded the x64 version, on the first screen there was a MS type key code which I dutifully copied. Then it wants you to burn an ISO CD for the install. No problem. But when I used the ISO to install, and it asked for the key code, it said it was an invalid key. After trying 2 other x64 keys, I went into the x32 download and got a x32 key which worked! My new system still says it is x64.

On start, My dual monitors were recognized and sized properly. I immediately went to the MS update site and allowed it to download and install any updates. There were about 8 that I allowed, I refused the 20 something extra languages offered.

Installed Firefox, no problems, Avira antivirus - OK, Skype - OK, My printer, a HP 5610 all in one prints - the driver was part of the Win7. Haven't tried scanning yet.

Installed multimon free version - works, BUT, it does not show the arrow in the top bar to move a window from one screen to the other. The Media Chance website doesn't have any info on either Win7 or 64 bit, and says they will not show on Vista but are there but hidden. I got them to work onece, but not consistantly. Thw keyboard shortcut for moving windows worked though.

First real bug. There are no drivers for my sound card, a Turtle Beach Montego DDL card. The Turtle beach support site says they MAY be available sometime in the summer of 09. So, that card is now removed. I have hooked my speakers back to the Motherboard built in audio and enabled it in the BIOS. Still no sound from my speakers, but My Logitec wireless headset works fine for both music and Skype.

A couple of my Firefox ad ons are not working, One says it needs Adobe Flash Player, but when I click on install, it shows a message 'Not Available' for the flash player. Evidently, Adobe has been slack in bringing out a Win7 version.
