Hello, can someone please tell what the notation in the last bar means and how i should play this on the piano? I have never seen such "3 short lines" above a note and I wonder how i should play it. thx for your help!

This is called 'tremolo.' Hope this the following link explains it clearly: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/trembling-tremolos-on-the-piano.html Although the tremolos are written out, Beethoven's Pathetique, 1st Movement is full of them in the Allegro section. |
