Men-at-Arms

Men-at-Arms are the basic foot soldiers of every army. Their training is usually minimal; just enough to know the basics of the battlefield. It is very difficult for men-at-arms to organize a retreat or any kind of formation without help from veterans.



Archers/Crossbow men
Cost: 350 GD

Archers/Crossbow men are an essential part to any army. The ability to strike at enemies from a range and destroy a large part of their army before their soldiers even reach you is invaluable. Archers/Crossbow men have moderate training in the field of battle. They can help protect a retreat fairly well, and carry out some slightly more complex strategy as well.



Pikemen
Cost: 400 GD
Movement Cost: 50 GD p/battalion

Pikemen are considered the bane of all cavalry. While their combat expertise is excruciatingly limited in close-quarters combat, pikemen can wipe out a cavalry's charge with little effort.




Cavalry
Cost: 500 GD

Cavalry can easily be considered the heart of any army. Light cavalry can be used to maneuver around the enemy and flank them, while heavy cavalry can tear through enemy lines. Cavalry is excellent at pulling off complicated tactics.




Unsullied

Unsullied are the ideal infantry for any army. Each and every one has been trained in the ways of battle since childhood; they will follow any and all orders with the utmost efficiency. Even if faced with a head on charge and outnumbered 10 to 1, their line will never break.

Ballistas are powerful siege engines which resembles a crossbow. Ballistas usually fire heavy darts or spherical projectiles.




Battering Ram

Battering Rams are mainly used to bash down city gates. They are usually constructed of wood and iron/steel plating.




Siege Tower

Siege Towers are constructed to protect assailants and ladders while approaching the defensive walls of a fortification. Most siege towers are rectangular and sit upon four wheels. Archers will often stand upon the top and fire down at enemies.

Trebuchets are gigantic slings used to hurl rocks at or over walls. Trebuchets are far more accurate than catapults.

The Guardsmen of Casterly Rock are handpicked and trained from childhood to become some of the finest soldiers in the land. Their knowledge of tactics is remarkable.

The Sand Snakes of Dorne are the quickest warriors in the land. They tend to prefer to use spears and whips to kill their enemies. These warriors tend to wear extremely light armor; their agility is all they need.

The Blood of the First Men are the hardiest men in the land; they will adapt themselves to fight in any terrain or weather no matter the circumstances.

The Bannermen of Riverrun are mounted warriors who tend to prefer to wear plate and wield swords and lances. Atop a horse their combat expertise is unmatched.

The Knights of the Flower are a newly founded order consisting of the youngest and best knights in the land. They are highly abled in melee combat, and fairly well rounded when it comes to mounted combat and strategy.
