| Who is your favorite villain? | |

Almost everyone loves John Snow, Dany, Arya, etc... But what about the bad mofo's of Westeros; the Crasters, the Cerseis, the Ticklers? Who do you guys think is the best villain of Westeros? Everyone is a shade of gray in ASOIAF, but why are these people darker than the rest and why do you like them best? |

My personal favorite is Littlefinger. This guy has the whole effing continent wrapped around his little finger. He has been a major contributer to Eddards death, put the gears in motion to kill John Arryn, set up the death of Joffrey, is one of the main reasons why the war of the Five Kings started in the first place (Littlefinger tells Eddard that it was Tyrion's dagger that ended up in the hands of Bran's assassin, Eddard tells Cat, Cat captures Tyrion, Tywin's golden shit hits the fan and the West invades the Riverlands) .... oh, and he pushed his wife out the goddam window to become the lord of the Vale and the Riverlands. And he is in control of what he believes to be the rightful heir of the North as well. And he's just plain smarter than anyone else in the business (save perhaps certain Varys). I love hearing his descriptions of what the game of thrones actually entails, it's like we have our own little Machiavelli right here in the Seven Kingdoms! |

Was gonna say Littlefinger but you beat me to it. Hmm...the problem with coming up with another is the fact that there are no clear-cut good and evil, black and white characters, thus making it difficult to single any out as "villians." |

exactly... I think that you could argue that almost any of the characters are villains in some way. But a few, like Reese Bolton, are a bit darker gray than others. |

Who in the hell thinks Walder Frey is a shade of Grey?? Cersei anyone? What about the Montain that Rides? I know that most of the world is grey, but there is definitley a lot of black as well. |

I would argue Cersei is a very dark shade of gray, as well as Walder Frey (even darker). She has emotions for her children, he sort of takes care of his family to the best of his ability. The Mountain is a big, black, demon bastard. |

Sandor is a dark form of gray, but my fav would be Bronn. Why is he a villain because he leaves Tyrion when he needs him the most. Bronn is only concerned with his own well being. |

yea, Bronn is a badass. What I like most about him is his completely frank attitude about being an amoral mercenary. He's looking out for numero uno and he doesnt give a crap who knows it. He doesn't exaggerate his strengths (he says flat out that he won't fight the mountain) and he knows when to pick a winner (he picks Tyrion to get into the halls of power, then picks Cersei to get married into a noble house, then picks himself to take control of the house for himself. I can see why Tyrion likes him so much. |

For me its Tywin - the way he just comes in at the end of clash, and just dominates the game all the way through to the end of storm. He manages to so effectively take control of kings landing - work out alliances with all the major parties that he needs to - and destory his enemies without lifting a finger himself. He bascially does the job tyrion was doing (and tyrion was doing quite a good job mind you) and does it about five times as effectively. He is just so logical and pragmatic

BATHOS!!!! Are you going to be in next season? p.s. I totally agree, Tywin is my favorite character after Littlefinger. He just has a presence to him that basically strips away any opposition. No one fucks with the lion... you can see evidence of this when Cersei looks at his corpse and remarks that he looks so different without his piercing eyes |
