(I'm guessing you meant to say 1 there, not 11?) Sir Vincel Rivers clenched his fist in annoyance. To be, once more, denied a proper battle by a paltry enemy force was frustrating. Still, he had his orders. Take King's Landing. He would not fail. How could he? There were only one hundred men down there. "Trebuchets," he called. "Begin the bombardment. Archers, move to range and open fire. All infantry, escort the archers." Perhaps a show of force would persuade a surrender. He doubted it. The northmen were renowned for their hearty resolve even in the face of oblivion. Thus, it would be a slaughter. A sound from behind told him the trebuchets had launched their ammunition. The boulders soared towards the city, where the enemy force gathered. By dawn, the city would be theirs. |
