Posts: 42 Group: Moderators Member #32 Joined: Jul 1, 2008	Never done an RPG like this before, but I'm a huge fan of the series, as well as an avid medieval military history buff and battlefield strategy gamer, and this looks like something I could really jump into. That being said, anyone with suggestions on avoiding any "rookie" mistakes, I'm all ears. I really appreciate the effort it takes to set something like this up, and hope its as much fun as it seems it will be.

Any questions you have can be placed in the FAQ section, and the lead administrators are Athidoc and Direwolf, so feel free to ask them as well. Anyways, sorry for nobody responding to this quickly; if you haven't noticed this board is struggling to survive. Honestly it should/would have died at the end of season two, but a couple of great members decided to keep it running. Don't be discouraged though; I'm positive things will get rolling in time, I believe Athidoc is on vacation, and so the season won't start officially for a few more days. As for rookie mistakes, I'd say two things. 1) Don't god-mod: Control your units, but not the other players. You can say you fired a volley of arrows at them, but saying they hit and killed all of their men is not acceptable. 2) Be Fair: This ties in to 1). If somebody fires a volley of arrows at you, you're going to take losses. Be fair and realistic, and in the end it will be more fun for everyone. Anyways, I really appreciate your appreciation, and it's good to know you're interested in case/once I get another strategy game set up.

Administrator Posts: 267 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Feb 3, 2008	Sadly, no. The only one I've ever played on was somewhat similar to this, but more technical. It was called Expanse of Empires, but it died a few years back. If I see any I'll be sure to link you.
