He's right. The only time it's even CLOSE to that is with Beric. Thoros even says he won't/can't be saved everytime |

I agree with Verathoc and Gunslinger. Sometimes I wish that there was no magic at all in the books because they work so well without it as a military/political/dramatic fiction set in an alternative universe but I also think that Martin is very disciplined with his use of magic (he says he tries to make it mysterious and uncommon like Tolkien does rather than have fireballs and healing spells flying all over the place) which I think makes the books even better. |
