I'll update this every once and awhile to show you what ruled-related changes will be incorporated.
I think it'd be unfair to put any rule updates in mid-season. In a way this too is a beta-season, since right now what I'm really trying to do is perfect the system. Please post new suggestions on how to help improve this game; you're all going to be able to spot flaws that I can't. |

I'm a big fan of Turncloak's arithmethic. Regardless, it does seem like a big jump. What is the reasoning behind such a big increase? The three-day rule already makes early expansion slow enough. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm just curous how you came up with the number 200. Edited by Larksmann, Mar 5 2008, 05:45 PM.

It simply works like this: 50g is obviously to low for Laying Claim (there's not even a cost; next Income Day you gain 50g more than you spent). I didn't want this to happen, so I thought somewhere around 200g would be a good number; I may lower it to 150g in the future. Basically, I want a slightly long period of time to go by before you start gaining more than you paid, because right now it's instant gratification. |

Tribute tax sounds good. But how will you go about it? X% of its worth? |

IMO it should be at least 20% |

What about cities? For cities income is the peoples tax, how on earth would you be able to tax another person on the throne? Oh and, I think you should do the same with trade and maybe heavily tax trades/tributes involving other continents. |

Trading cities probably won't be taxed, just tributing gold and units (tribute well be 20%-ish as Grombart said, units I'll work out a system). |
