North and South maps

How are the two maps connected? I noticed that the south part of the north map is partially repeated on the north part of the south map. Are the maps connected with the repeated cities or something?

The maps overlap slightly; I'd merge them together if I had something better than MS paint. (in case you did or didn't know this game is based very loosely on a fantasy series; it only goes about as far as the map and the factions). If you ever get confused w/ the two map thing just let me know and I'll clear things up.

I'm pretty sure people are already confused with the maps. Look at Hroppa (capital at the Eyrie) and Cenedil (capital at Longbow Hall). They appear on different maps, but Hroppa is actually not isolated to one side as he probably thought when picking his capital. In fact, his capital is blocking Cenedil into a 4-city area.

Would you like me to try and merge the maps with Photoshop? It might not look clean, because the duplicated portions appear to be simply redrawn, rather than actually copied.

EDIT: I merged the maps, but there's one unnamed city between The Twins and Seagard. I'm assuming the two cities west and east of the Greenfork river are encompassed by "The Twins," but they obviously need individual names. What should I name this city?

Yah, people from last season know about the map, but I suppose new comers are pretty confused. Thanks for merging them (doesn't matter that much if they don't look pretty). Rename the two cities East Bridge and West bridge (I'm sure you'll be able to decide which name for each city).

Alright dude, I'll get it up by tomorrow.
In the future I'd suggest making a map specifically for the game, instead of laying lines on top of a map created for another purpose. Even if it mean parting from the books somewhat more.

Oh, of course in the future I'll have a new map (once I get Photoshop...should be within the next month or two)...it'll take me awhile to learn how to use it and get used to it, but I should be able to come out with something useable. I'll just make another continent entirely...having this same map every season would be dreadfully boring, so I'm planning on no more than another season on this map specifically tops (there's no 'specifically' drawn map for any other continent in the book's world, so I can just take a few major cities [I'd know roughly where' they'd be positioned], and add my own stuff from there).

Like Ghis, claw Isle etc?
TotH will probably help with general position like the crownlands, vale etc.

No, with Vaes Dothrak, Pentos, Braavos, Quarth, and perhaps the Port of Ibben as well. I'm going to start doing a rough sketch this weekend to get my ideas layed out (may seem a bit premature but I'd rather have it done early than be rushing to finish at the last minute).

That's not to say we'll never see the current map again.

Here's a map that combines the north and the south. Sorry it took me longer than expected to get it up, but I had to add some cities that weren't on the initial map and make some other changes. Let me know if you notice any errors on it -- I'm not 100% sure this is a perfect replication of the existing maps.
