Welcome! I really recommend you read the series as soon as possible, because simply put it's as good as epic fantasy gets. I'm sure everyone here will agree with me on that. Yes, when attacking towns you must attack an adjacent town, an adjacent town being one that is connected to another with a line. There is a general layout for all terrain (the world is split into seven regions), which will be advanced upon in NPC battles. It's up to the defending player to decide the terrain of their city however, providing that 1) It fits the broad region layout and 2) It's not ridiculously built in their favor. Tactical advantage is a great thing to have here; that's mainly how you'll win battles. Of course there is the role playing element, and you have to effectively role play your strategy, but if you're a fair role player and an amazing tactician, you should to quite well. Again, welcome, and hope to see you join in next season! |
