I was reading Isle of Swords through again, thoroughly, because I was writing a Wikipedia article on it, and I realized something cool. You know the hourglasses that divide the sections within the chapters? Well, if you look closely, the sand moves down progressively through the book, like it would if it were a real hourglass. Try looking at the first hourglass, one in the middle, and the last one and you'll see it clearly! Oh, please check out the Wikipedia article , it's my first one. It took a long time to write... I didn't notice it until I got to the end of the book. Then I went, wait, wasn't the sand on the other side of the hourglass? |

When I first read the book I saw one of those hourglasses and thought, Hey, wouldn't it be cool if the sand moved down as the story progressed...then I saw that it actually did. |

Ooh, so anyone that's read any of Isle of Fire, they have the same sort of thing. It's more noticeable this time than the hourglass was. The fire that separates sections of the chapter gets longer as it goes through the book! |
