I was reading Isle of Swords through again, thoroughly, because I was writing a Wikipedia article on it, and I realized something cool. You know the hourglasses that divide the sections within the chapters? Well, if you look closely, the sand moves down progressively through the book, like it would if it were a real hourglass. Try looking at the first hourglass, one in the middle, and the last one and you'll see it clearly! Oh, please check out the Wikipedia article , it's my first one. =D It took a long time to write... =P Click anywhere that it says "Wikipedia article" above to see it.

Head Admin of TDWF, At your service. :)

Oh yeah, I noticed that when I first read the book. :) I think that's so neat - the hour glass is such a fun detail in the book.

Great job with the Wikipedia article! ^_^

I saw it the first time I read it, too! It's little details and things like that which make the story even more awesome. :)

I saw it when I read it, and I loved it. It's the details that make the story, in my humble opinion.

:edit: Awesome article, Jconn! Nice and informative!

I didn't notice it until I got to the end of the book. Then I went, wait, wasn't the sand on the other side of the hourglass?

Interesting! I'll have to check...

When I first read the book I saw one of those hourglasses and thought, Hey, wouldn't it be cool if the sand moved down as the story progressed...then I saw that it actually did.

Hey, that's a cool discovery! I never would have seen that =P I should take a look when I rent the IoS book from my library again (yes, I know. I should have it already...)

As for the Wikipedia Entry, that is great! I'll put that in my next announcement. Thanks for doing that, Josh!

Sweetness. Unfortunately, I'm not smart enough to pick up on little things like that.

Dib: Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said

Dib:
Sorry I'm late... horrible... nightmare visions!

Ooh, so anyone that's read any of Isle of Fire, they have the same sort of thing. It's more noticeable this time than the hourglass was.

The fire that separates sections of the chapter gets longer as it goes through the book!

He's not finished with me yet. He's not finished with me yet.
Still wondering why I'm here. Still wrestling with my fear, but oh, I know He's up to something.
And the farther on I go, I've seen enough to know that I'm not here for nothing, He's up to something." ♫
