Title: Redwall, the first book at least. There are around 20. Author: Brian Jacques Genre: YA Fiction Short Description: Basically the books revolve around an abbey inhabited by talking animals. I know I've made it sound nerdy, but I fail at describing books LOL Website(s): www.redwall.org - dreadfully out of date though :( So there you have it. Any fellow Redwallers around? :D |

I read the first five or six. The endings kind of got repetative, not that any of them ended the same.(Sorry to be criptic) Still, all the plots were different and they were very interesting. That, and summer got over so I couldn't go to the library. I like the fact that they were not written in order and that you follow the people, er animals by something from the last book. It was a little confusing that the books changed times, but it kept you thinking. Overall I thought they were good books. |

Yeah, they do tend to be somewhat repetitive ![]() Oh, and in case anyone else happens to post(unlikely), let me know which book is your favorite. |

I have pretty much all of them, but I haven't read the latest two. I was really into reading them in middle school, but after it got to Taggerung, it got a bit repetitive. Rakkety Tam was good, though (which came later). Methinks my favorite overall would be Marlfox, although i like Mossflower, Mattimeo, Pearls of Lutra, and the majority of the rest. |

Still wondering why I'm here. Still wrestling with my fear, but oh, I know He's up to something. And the farther on I go, I've seen enough to know that I'm not here for nothing, He's up to something." ♫ ~Brandon Heath, "Wait and See"

I loved them when i read them, and i've read them all, and though some of them were a bit repetitive, A lot of the later ones were more original. Taggerung was my fav, though Pearls of Lutra and Lord Brocktree were good, too. I think there's a new one coming out soon... P.s. Did u know that the Redwall website was made by a 14-year-old? He's not 14 any more, though... |

Ooh, Redwall! Yeah, I've read every book, and I enjoy them, but I have to agree with you guys... the stories are kind of repetitive. My favorite is probably, well idk, I like mostly all of them except for Redwall, the first one... not as well written in my opinion.

I like them a lot. The story-line is great, most of the time. Though lately ol' Brian must be lacking off. His latest book Eulalia! wasn't as well written as the other books. They kinda go in the descriptive-violence area, but other than that they're great. I have to say that my favorite is either Triss, Taggerung, or Outcast of Redwall. BTW, have any of you listened to the audiobooks? Most of them are good, others aren't good. the Eulalia! audiobook isn't that great. Probably because he didn't use the best actors. The thing is, he uses a lot of the same actors for evil guys; e.g., Paul Braithwate (if that's how you spell his name) plays Vizka Longtooth, Gabool the Wild, and a few other of the villains. Anyhow though, all in all I give the series 4 swords. Also, I agree with you Reivan. The first one is terrible! I own sixteen of the books, but I'll be auctioning them on Amazon soon (I hope). I've read every book except the new book "Doomwhites". I think that these books are very predictable, and personely, not very well written. |

1.<>< I will never deny my King ><> 2.There are passages and doors and realms that lie unseen. There are roads both wide and narrow and no avenue between. Doors remain closed for those who in sad vanity yet hide. Yet when belief is chosen, the key appears inside. What is lived now will soon pass, and what is not will come to be. The Door Within must open, for those to truly see. Do you see? Believe and enter. 3.Ye have come to Falon's Stair, but enter not ye unaware, for better men than thee have fled. They that entered soon were dead. The darkness spins your mind with fright, as you descend into her night. Beyond the steps the labyrinth waits, with dangers untold and treasures great. Know ye this as ye travel the maze: lest ye fall under Falon's gaze, there is one path alone to the light of day. And death will come if ye lose your way. 4. Isaiah 6:8 - Then I heared the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send Me!" 1, 2, and 3 were quotes from the Door Within- by Wayne Thomas Batson

I LOVE Redwall. And I don't care that many have the same type of story. I'm a hopeless addict. I've read them all multiple times, except Doomwyte, which I've read once. As for a favorite, I'd have to go for Marlfox or Rakkety Tam. I can't decide. And I didn't like Castaways of the Flying Dutchman for some strange reason. I thought I would, but it didn't stick out to me, and the characters didn't become alive to me... yeah... |

I liked Castaways of the Flying Dutchman the sequels to it. The Redwall books ARE written well, just in a different style, sorta like story-telling. They are repetetive at times, but all-in-all, they are unique and opened the gateway for that type of fantasy. My favorites would probably be Lord Brocktree, Marlfox, and Doomwyte. But I haven't read much of them in a LONG while. |

I read Martin the warrior, Mossflower, lord Brocktree, and Redwall then stoped after that but my favorite was Mossflower. But my little brother just fell in love with the series and is blowing through like they're nothing |

"Arise, arise, Riders of Theoden! Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor"! Theoden "If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music... Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well." Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "True courage is not the absence of fear. It is refusing to allow fear to control your actions." "If love can blind you, then whose to say other emotions can't?" "All effort-even failed effort-produces growth." Brett and Alex Harris "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Forgive your enemies; it messes with their heads. Despair is knowing without a shadow of doubt, that the future will bring something bad. Nobody knows for certain what the future will bring. In this light, there is always hope. Always. Ucatastrophe(adj.)-the sudden, unforeseeable change, from dark to light. Antonym of Catastrophe.

I read up to the middle of Mossflower and then stopped reading. That was about three years ago so I might reread it. It was pretty good. I've read the trilogy about pirates by the same author. It was really good. |
