Hey guys, welcome back to TheCAMFiles. It's been a while since the last update so we got some stuff to tell you!
Also, for those of you who have not checked out the Newcomer's Checklist yet, please do so! It's really helpful!
Past
First off, we've moved TheCAMCafe away and merged our works with the rest of the community. We feel left out and awkward! XP Check it out here at the Community Center.
Chrono T. has posted up a helpful guide for new roleplayers out there! Be sure to read it if you get the chance, it's really useful as well! :D The Roleplay World and You
Let's all give a warm welcome to our two new members as of last night! NighTKD and Sia!
Present
There are currently two active roleplays out there. Infection and E. Bony Academy. E. Bony Academy has just opened up for the public to roleplay in as well, it's no longer just a practice roleplay anymore! Feel free to participate if you aren't already. ^^
TheCAMFiles updates will now be placed in the Newspaper forum as they come and not in their own forum. As for that... we just finished The God Chart earlier this week. It's about the religion of Shapel Galaxy. If you haven't read it yet, you should, it'll give you some nice background information about their beliefs and customs.
We are also working on the Planetary Outline, a rundown about the backgrounds of each of Shapel's 8 major planets! Look forward to that, it'll give some extensive detail about the geography, traditions, and systems that are characteristic to each of the planets.
Currently, there are several arcs under construction. Those arcs are Ocean Butterfly and Starlight Traveler. The entire Imperial Era is also sort of in progress as well so nothing is set in stone yet concerning that Era. A past arc we might be reworking would be Delecit Dusk. Find out more about where these arcs go in the chronological order of things in the Storylines List.
Future
Thanksgiving is coming up later this month (for those that celebrate it) and we're considering doing a board project. Don't know what that is? Basically, it's a project or collaborative work that the whole board can contribute and work on together! If anyone has any ideas for that or feel like discussing it, please post below. ^^ Or you can post it in the Projects forum!
If any of you have any ideas for a roleplay, don't be afraid to bring up a topic discussing it under RP Discussion! We'd love to hear your ideas and I'm sure other members would too. In fact, if the idea is liked by many, you could take the liberty to make your own RP topic in one of the many RP forums or discuss the idea and make it even better before you do. If it's interesting and unique, someone is bound to join it!
The staff would like to thank existing members and new members for their support. We couldn't have made it this far without you and hope you continue to help our community grow and prosper! Any bit of advertising you can do for us would help, be it posting our link in your facebook status, your instant messenger status, your signature on other forums or your email. Any help is appreciated! Don't forget to let us know if you do soemthing to help, there might be a little reward in it for you as well. :P
Haha... and thanks to everyone that stuck it out and read the entire newspaper this time. It's not short, but it's shorter than last time? Ocean Butterfly - Personal Project

I've been working on a personal project, a game for the Ocean Butterfly Arc (If anyone's interested in helping, let me know?) and I suppose I'll be updating you all as I make my progress. I just edited/redesigned some of the characters' costume, however, I'm not sure what kind of style the game should be in.
Should it be an RPG? Board game? Ideas...?
If you're not sure where the Arc Ocean Butterfly goes in the Storyline, go look at the storylines list. It's somewhere in the first chain of Imperial Era!
I'll get some more info about it later.... but yeah. Update...? XD

Newspaper Update 10/21/09

Hello all! Zach here with a newspaper update for everyone, just to kind of tie together everything that's been going on with the board recently. There's been quite a bit of activity recently, so let's get right into it!
First and foremost, in the forum: TheCAMFiles, there is an article teaser/story update. The actual article is located in the topic titled Mestriss and Eternal Reveries. Everyone go check that out! Be sure to keep up with the Grand Storybook section of the site for story additions as well, as the completed articles and such will all be there.
A Poem has been added to TheCAMCafe, written by yours truly. Everyone, go check it out! I'm actually quite proud of it if I do say so myself. Keep checking back there for more original works by the members of TheCAMFiles!
A piece of Artwork has been added! It can be found here: Ms. Brella
I (YanXu) need some opinions on the Lineart before I move on to Colouring it! It's also good as a reference for those of you int he practice RP who don't know what Brella really looks like.
There are numerous updates to HuStudios, the most recent being two new parts of Vanessa's Let's Play of Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia parts 3 and 4. Be sure to keep an eye on that forum for new HuStudios updates if you're at all interested in our playthroughs. The channel is usually updated at least once a week, so check back and subscribe!
Two new RPs are in the works as of now.
One is open to anyone who wishes to join, and is in the General Roleplay forum. It is titled Infection. Go and check it out! It should prove to be quite exciting. Anyone can join, as long as you follow the rules laid down by Fishy!
The other is a practice RP, and all of the slots are currently filled. However, you can still watch and keep up with the story if you wish! New slots will open up for new RPers after this session is over! You can find the topic in the RP Discussion forum! Support our new people (or not so new people)!
Changes made to the Board
Although there have not been very many, one big change that was just implemented today is the gender section of your profile. If you haven't selected what gender you are (and unless you wish not to reveal your gender), then please visit your profile and edit it!
There has been concerns that the hidden forums (the Staff forum in the Headquarters category and the Archives forum in the Grand Storybook) seem to be visible to members as well. Let us know if you are a member and you are able to view or even post in either of those forums. It's not that we don't want you there, it's that some special things, plans, and events, we like to keep secret until they are finished for release!
Plans for the Future
A big round of applause to everyone that helped get the site onto its feet! The staff thank you all! We couldn't be where we are right now without your help! However, the site is not at maximum power yet, and we hope you continue to be a contributing member of the community! Mestriss' motives and related information.
Mestriss is looking for suitable candidates from which she can extract their soul's essence from in order to create an organic container strong enough to hold something she wants to summon. Overall, the selection and process is all very risky to both the extractor and the victim.
The candidates are selected based on a few criteria:
