There's actually a book about that??? That's kinda awesome. Heeee. ![]() I'm not reading anything at the moment, BUT what book I have pending right now is Mary Higgins Clark's "I Heard That Song Before". She's like my favoritest author EVER. I seriously have almost every single book she's written in my collection bar a few. Another book that I started reading is Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons". I saw the movie, thought it was interesting enough so I borrowed the book from a friend. That was about a year ago. Still haven't got past chapter 1. I'm working on it though! I use to go through books like water, but I can't get back into the habit of just reading books anymore. I think it's because of all the FF on the interwebs that I'd rather read instead.

I actually enjoyed Angels and Demons WAY more then I did The DaVinci Code. I hope you enjoy that. I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame Smith (which I just heard somewhere the BBC is thinking of making a mini out of it, lol). Fables: The Good Prince by Bill Willingham Fave authors: Neil Gaiman, Jane Austen, Jayne Ann Krentz, and Shakespeare (mostly his later works). I have a stack of books to read though. I know what you mean. I purposely joined this 50 books challenge on LJ where you are encouraged to read 50 books in one year. It's difficult and I'm an avid (or used to be) reader and it's still hard. I mean, if I could INCLUDE fanficiton I would have met that goal in like two months or something, lol. I've been reading less books lately, and more original fan fictions around the net. I don't even think you can really call them FFs, though, because it's all original work that the author just comes up with. Their own characters, plot, everything. I can't believe some of the stuff I've seem to gotten in to. Nothing weird, but like, a lot of fantasy stuff. I was never in to any of that stuff as a kid or in high school or anything, but I LOVE it now. Though I am a HUGE book nerd. I go through books like they're going out of style. I don't have a favorite author, really, but I love romance books, and mystery books. Suspense is always fun. The ones you don't wanna put down because it *hurts* to do so.

Sometimes you freak me out, and here's why: #1 - just bought PP&Z for my stepfather after reading it - I thoroughly enjoyed it. #2 - Jayne Ann Krentz = teh AWESOME. I only have one book signed by her when I met her in 1998 and haven't been able to meet her again at anything, but seriously, love love love love love love love love. Also? I don't usually do historicals and I effing ADORE her Amanda Quick books. #3 - Shakespeare #4 - I liked both Da Vinci Code more, but I purchased several and read them one right after the other and the last one i read was A&D, not realizing that it was same protagonist as DVC. And by that time, I was hip to his writing style, so disappointing. I suspect had i read just those two back to back i would feel like you. |

It's a teeny-time book, but it's still a very good read for anyone - "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List" by Rachel Cohen and David Levithan(sp?) aka the same ppl who wrote Nick & Norah's Infiniate Playlist Because my mom had it as a quick read and I just head to pick it up cuz it's about Soaps. It's OKAY. Death in Daytime by Eileen Davidson (yes, yes. She plays on Y&R) Now that I'm on winter break, I'm gunna try and read a lot more..possibly go to the library and just pick a random book (like I did with Naomi and Ely) ~ it's fun xD |

I have been enjoying it so far. It's mainly about the early years of the Buffy fandom, but I think anyone who's ever been a part of any online fan community can relate to aspects of it. Plus, the author has this snarky sense of humor. And it's a much easier read than the other fan study writings I've encountered so far. |

I actually just finished reading the third and latest book of "The Mysterious Benedict Society" series by Trenton Lee Stewart called "The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma". I love this series! It's a child's series, but it's amazing and really fun, and they are just really smart books. I enjoy reading them a lot! I've also been catching up on my current titles...currently really, REALLY into Y:The Last Man, and of course The Walking Dead is always amazing...I'm a little behind on that one at the moment, though. I'm in a slight debate with myself on what to read next...I got "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" for Christmas, so I'm really looking forward to reading that, but I also really want to read "The Shack" by WM. Paul Young. Don't really know what I'm gonna do yet, haha! |
