So Noah was unconcious the entire time, but it was still beyond EPIC.

And tomorrow's the FOURTH day in a row.

I'm in Nuke heaven. :cloud9

I just have to say: who was extremely amused by the fact that the background of Noah's cellphone is apparently a photo of Jake and Van at the Emmys Night Before Party?

Loved today's episode, btw. :D And another one tomorrow! I'm so exciteddddddd!

It was CRAZY! I am a wimp to the max and I kinda almost couldn't watch some of it! HAHA. But I'm rewatching now, and I'm okay.

That explains though, why I didn't notice at first, that one of Noah's film crew members was FILMING the drama while the paramedics tried to help Noah. He's standing behind Holden and Luke right before they announce that they're starting CPR. HA. WTF? Were they going to do a "making of" Noah's film? I mean... :huh

Also? That punch was amazing. I liked that he paused to smirk at Mason first. Like, "Guess what you're about to get, asshole?" WHAM.

Oh, and the preview at Noah's beside? :crying

I am actually finding all this insurance business a little stupid still, but all the rest of it is dramatic enough to not worry about it, I guess. Would've made my day though if they'd had Lucinda stroll in there instead. She'd have handled it!

Oh oh, and lastly:

Amazing.

That's the only word that came to mind while I watched Van acting so fabulously. Everyone was great: Paolo, Noelle, and Jon were wonderful but Van made me feel SO much of Luke's panic and fear.

And that speech to Noah. That's when I got weepy. It was beautiful. I loved the way Luke was shaking while he tried to maintain control.

I cannot wait until Noah wakes up and we can see Jake kick ass the way Van did today.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. I'm handwaving the implausibility of all that stuff and focusing on the performances. And the writing itself is actually good, too, even if the plots are a little ... :::handwaves some more:::

I have to say though that the insurance part not so off base. I work with a company that monitors insurance companies to make sure they DO give their patients the right kind of coverage and treatment.

I can attest that all that - very true. If Noah had been found on the side of the road, no ID, nobody knowing anything then they would HAVE to help him and worry about the rest later. But the fact that they he brought in by people that knew him and that they KNOW he isn't covered...totally changes the whole thing.

It sucks. Like really sucks but yeah totally true. They won't treat uninsured patients.

Van was great today and so hearbreaking :crying I know Luke has gotten close to Damian but I think it was great that when it came right down to it that Holden was the first one he called. Luke is so lucky to have three parents that love him dearly and would do anything for him.

:party for that punch! Luke's been watching his daddy all these years :) And that threat at the end...taking lessons from Damian, I see. He's so badass.

My poor babies! :crying Luke going all panicky and babbling when they found out he needed surgery made me want to reach through the screen and hug him to death. And then the bedside monologue and the hand kisses and the preview for tomorrow...brb melting into pile of goo forever.

I only have one question after watching today's episode.

How has Van not won every single Emmy ever? Even the ones he can't really win, he should win he's that good. So, why hasn't he?

I didn't like this episode and I wish I did cause I want to squee with everyone. This is a very unpopular opinion and it is only my opinion cause I think I'm seriously on crack, but I thought all the acting fell flat today. Not just the acting in Nuke's storyline, but Liberty/Janet/etc. I don't know what it was about today's episode, but I didn't feel it.

I honest to GOD think Van is one of the greatest actors I've ever seen. EVER. But today, I didn't feel him. :( :( :( And it makes me really sad.

BUT.

Seriously, that's just today. I am still super excited for what's coming up. I just personally feel it didn't start off the way I hope it would.

Please don't hurt me, but today was just OK for me.

There was just one whole issue that for me, really broke the proverbial camel's back, and that was the medical staff.

They had that doctor be so freaking passive! He wasn't saying a thing! And they weren't selling the whole "Noah's life is in danger!" thing. It totally seemed like he didn't care at all and the issue wasn't that serious, and that Van and Paolo were trying to make the scene dramatic by picking up his slack. IDK...I just think it would have been much better if they had Bob or even Susan in there to really create the drama and make it seem like Noah was actually in some kind of danger. It was just hard for me to believe that things were actually in critical condition not hearing things from the doctor himself.

It might not matter in the long run...but it really bothered me! I just wanted there to be some crazy chaos on both sides so we could really get a feel that something was terribly wrong.

Don't get me wrong...I still love where this storyline is going! And I do think things will get much better when Noah wakes up! I'm really looking forward to that!

Oh yes this! That's what I felt too. Like the acting didn't sell the entire "Noah's in danger" for me either. And the fact that everyone looked like they were gonna fall asleep, but Van was so dramatic and everyone was...not. So it just seemed comical.

I just need to shut up honestly cause Nuke is finally getting a good storyline but maybe the more it airs, I can just forget this one episode and watch the others. And I am positive the others are gonna be amazing. :)

I totally agree. Like, it was really fun watching and I was really interested to see what was gonna happen, but that's it. Usually I get really into the story and start yelling at the characters (I can't help it... :angel), but today I just kept saying "Why doesn't anyone but Van seem to care about these scenes?!?! COME ON, PEOPLE! This is supposed to be dramatic!"

That doctor just drove me nuts! No doctor in real life would just stand there and not say anything. They would be trying to calm them down and give them options and explain the procedure in detail. It just made no sense for him to stand there and be passive. And that really ruined the scene for me.

But I agree with you, Moey. I shouldn't be upset. I'm just super glad they are on!!! And like I said, I know that once Noah wakes up, the REAL drama is gonna start...and I can't wait!!! :hyper

Well Doctors seem to have a habit of acting....OOC.

Remember the Doc that annouced Reg was dead? Hahaahahah. What a sympathetic guy HE was. :P

Since I haven't watched the episode yet (*still stares down clock*), I can't give an opinion. But I will go on record saying that I'm usually one to go against the general opinion. When everybody is praising an episode, I'm either cringing or rolling my eyes or mentally criticizing. :D So we shall see!

But Van was the only person being dramatic in today's episode. And everyone else seemed like they were wanting him to shut up.

I did love the bed scene. And those tears in Luke's eyes? That was the only time I really felt it.

I did LOVE the Mason punch. And, the subsequent "you broke my nose" after. I was laughing my butt off. I'm gonna miss Forbes honestly. I thought he made Mason funny.

Oh, well then you pretty much enjoyed everything I did, lol. Those were the only things I cared about. I did like Damian getting pretty impassioned about the stupidiity of the insurance thing. Damian and Holden fighting over Noah should be fun, lol.

I guess I just always ignore all the other stuff I don't like, lol. It's bad of me, I know. :)

"So anyway, the Pats really had that loss coming to them. They got too- oh, you two? What are you still doing here? Your friend died. Anyway, like I was saying- the Patriots..."

Dude. that storyline. Made me laugh so hard.

Aaand, I loved today. But I did feel like in parts, it didn't feel that natural. Like, I could tell they were going for the drama? I don't know... I really, really enjoyed it. But I do see where you guys are coming from. :)

As much as I'm still pretty much on the positive train here, I agree with some of the things you said about today. I just think I've got my blinders on or something, and let a lot of stuff slip away in favor or assuming we're going to continue to get lots of drama and everything.

That, and I FLOVED the punch. Seriously. Like I said before, the pause right before he did it? AWESOME.

Anyway, I totally agree about the doctor, and no one else being quite as upset. I kinda feel like Van would've shone even more if they'd kinda had other people being a little more dramatic around him.

With that said though, I thought there were lots of little details about his acting today that were amazing. Like, when Noah was laying on the ground, and it looked like Luke just wanted to grab Noah's head in his hands (like he so often does) but he just hovered instead and then touched his chest, like he didn't want to hurt him more.

Or, like a couple of times, he would say something, and then turn away like it was just too much to think about.

And the TEARS when he looked at Mason through the window. Cause it was coupled with like, hate. I thought that was pretty damned awesome.

Though, from the looks of it, I thought he actually sounded a little more emotional in tomorrow's preview. So I'm kinda of more excited for that, honestly.

I wonder if they'll have Noah wake up, even just for a minute, before the surgery happens. I'm getting ansty that we'll probably have to wait til Thursday to hear from him.

Hey, it's all right. Everyone was practically jizzing over the episode where Noah comforts Luke over Holden's "death" and I was like, "Meh. This is sub-par. Honey is not pleased with your offering."

TBH I thought the writing was a little weak and yeah, the doctor was pretty deadpan. Van just totally sold it though. He was just perfect today, even when the writers had him babbling tangents, because you could totally believe that his mind was going a million miles a second and he couldn't think straight.
