Hi, I'm "Hyde" and hail from the vicinity of Mt. St. Helens in SW Washington State. Saying I'm from the "Ape Caves" works well for this new series as it looks like it's going to dive into the distant past of pre-human history. Sort of "The Time Machine meets The Swiss (or rather Irish!) Family Robinson (or rather Shannon)." Of course as soon as the humans from the future arrive, it won't be "pre-human" anymore, will it? :P

I am one of the LoMians, or what we call those viewers who have become hard-core fans of one of Jason O'Mara's past projects of Life on Mars (American Style). I am also a huge fan of one of Brannon Braga's past creative works being FlashForward and see a melding of a sort between Life on Mars and FlashForward in a small way. In researching Brannon's like of time travel and retrocausal topics I think we'll discover that the colony will at some point be said to be the cause of mankind on Earth. Yes, this would be just like Scotty's "transparent aluminum" from Star Trek IV, with no actual inventor. But we have plenty of time for theories and discussions later. It's just always fun to be in at the start of something new that we as fans of a good story hope to get to watch and enjoy and see prosper. Welcome to the "Terra Nova" discussion board we call Terra Nova Prime, "Prime" because we like to think of it as the first place you'd want to come to discuss this exciting new series from Fox and Stephen Spielberg and the rest of the creative team.

Hi all--

It's SBtrekie or SBterratrekie here or another LoMian or just Sue!
Gearing up for summer down the Jersey Shore.
No Snookie here although I would like to feed her to a nice raptor!

Looking forward to this show for several reasons--the first being--

JASON, JASON, JASON!! I am a bit of a fan--- :P

Second--by my name you can see I am a trekie so all things associated with Star Trek are golden with me.

The premise sounds really interesting--can't wait to see what kind of special effects they have here.

I am hoping that FOX gives this show time to grow and gain an audience.
By the way they promote their shows I would think that we have a shot here.
We watch football on FOX and they shove their shows at you at every commerical break!
Happy Hunting!!

Wow fabal1, I may have recall holes aplenty (I call my memory "Swiss Cheese") but I instantly got a jolt from my old remembrances of this show with your clip. I was in 5th or 6th grade at the time and remember watching this show. I even remember a silly joke we schoolkids used to play on each other at the time, triggered from the show. We would say to another schoolmate between classes in the hallway "Hey, have you seen this new show called 'It's about Time'?" and then we'd go into a parody of the lyrics. Here's how it went: "It's about time, it's about space, it's about time to slap your face!" and then we'd whack the unsuspecting target. Hee, yes, I was a stinker, along with a lot of others at that age, lol. So yeah, you certainly triggered some very old memories, hee! :P

I also remember (as I'm sure you do) Joe E. Ross was the caveman who was also in a show called "Car 54, Where Are You?" and I'll just bet you watched that one also in your youth like I did. Of course his partner was Fred Gwynne who was also Herman Munster later.

Um, I think the one you're on currently should easily qualify as retro. 85 million years "retro" in fact. ;)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Glad to see you joining us, lillielue. For me it's double fun as I have talent from both Life on Mars and FlashForward on this new show. Jason of course has the lead part but one of the exec-producers is Brannon Braga who was one of the two creators of FlashForward. Being it has a name like Spielberg attached and it isn't on ABC might help it to survive and grow an audience.
