14:18:22 Aemilius Approached his manor with a cocky grin staining his perfect face, he would be enjoying this moment, this power he had over all those lesser then him, being a master. The grin slowly shifted into a full smile as he saw Chanel waiting for him before his manor doors. “Chanel,” he would say as he tossed Joe before her, “she’s yours for the night. Do with her as you please. Kill her, fuck her, I don’t care. But the next time I see a youngling talk to you like that, I’d better see their head.” Walking past Joe and Chanel, he wouldn’t both offering either of them any eye contact. The elder would reach his red painted double doors, matching the rest of the décor of his manor well. This building could have been as old as he was, based off of the architecture. It looked as if some one had plucked a villa out of the history books, from Rome. It had white marble columns that guarded the front door and held up the second floor up well. Rather then lanterns hanging by the door, he had to fire basins on each side of the door. Burning some sort of insects that wafted the air around them in lavender. As the double doors opened, a rush of cool air would greet Aemilius. It was something he wasn’t use to, air-conditioning. The feeling made him smile, as it reminded him he had a house guest, Clover. Stepping into his house, he left the doors open for Chanel and Joe. Yet rather then waiting for them as any good host would do, he ventured strait towards the study, which would have been a living room in any other normal house. 14:31:41 Chanel stood near the doors, her face serene as she waited the arrival of her Sire, Aemilius. She lifted dark eyes, watching the night sky move with dark clouds, obscuring the pale moon. Stars twinkled in and around the night sky, and a form obscured the sight for a moment. She tilted her head, drawing her senses out. Ah, there. She knew who came towards her. But what was it he was carrying? Her gaze flickered down towards Aemilius as he stepped into the view of the firelight. "You seem pleased with yourself.." She murmered, as her eyes switched over to Joe. As she was tossed to her like an errant prize, her hand closed over the girls back to steady her. She smiled for the moment, and kissed her cheek. "Hullo mate!" She said cheerfully in a dreadful australian accent. But the smile faded when she received the reprieve from Aemilius, and grew silent for the moment as he swept past. Her brows darkened the moment he admitted the human into his presence. She suppressed a shudder. Silly breed. She let out a breath and turned her eyes back to Joe, considering her for a moment. "Shall we?" She half stepped into the manor, waiting to see if she would follow. 14:39:41 [`Joe] She wasnt too happy about this. The dislike apparent in the way she held her features. As she was pretty much dragged forward and thrown into Chanel's grasp, she growled slightly, straigthening herself out and glaring at the woman. She wasnt her freind. Would never be her freind. Not after all this. Before, once she let the cobwebs clear from her eyes, she saw that the woman wasnt that bad. But now, she had simply proven herself wrong. "I'm not your mate." she muttered but followed anyway. She knew she could run then. Had plenty of oppertunity. But would she have made it before either of the elders made it to her? Probably not. Squaring her shoulders, she followed after Chanel. She'd make the best of this situation. Do what she needed to do to get back to Scott. He would come for her. She knew he would. And her stay here would be ended. The scent of something sweet pulled her from her thoughts and had her stomache clenching in hunger. Her tongue darted out momentarily, flicking across her lower lip. -- 14:39:44 [`Joe] There was a mortal here. One that smelled as good as one of the pies she was known for making. "He brought food. How nice." She hadnt realized she'd spoken it until it was too late and found herself biting her tongue to halt any more words to escape. For now, she'd simply follow Chanel where ever it was they were going. Silently. 14:45:18 [Clover] When she had agreed to go with him, she had pictured moving down the street. And now, she was in France. She didn't mind being in france, except for the small bit about not speaking french. She had found it very dificult to figure out what sort of groceries to buy, and wasn't entirely sure about the incriments of money to hand the shopkeep, either. Luckily for her, her new...well, she wasn't quite sure what he was...didn't seem to care much about money. He had woken up, and left what seemed like ages ago. Jet lag was still getting to her, so even though it was late, she was wide awake. The delicate woman sat in the study on one of the plush couches indian style. A gigantic tome was spread out over her knees and she held onto an antique magnifying glass. It was not as good as the equipment she had at the bookstore, but it was the only thing she could find in the study. If she would stand up, she would hardly be more than 5'2, with a lithe frame. She had long, ginger-red hair that she kept tied back in a very> 14:45:38 [Clover] loose pony tail. Her bangs brushed against her pale cheeks that were dotted with freckles. Her dark green eyes were behind a pair of thick black, box-framed glasses. Her brow was furrowed as she looked at the weaving of the papyrus in the book, and the way it felt under her fingers. There was something off about the binding of the book, the glue that was used. While, it was always possible that the book had been rebound like the first one he had brought to her, she was almost certain this was not the case. She was surprised to find a fake among his collection. When she heard the doors open up, she looked up over the rim of her glasses. She knew it was Aemilius comming home, though she couldn't quite say why. She looked up at him and opened her mouth to point out that at some point he had purchased a counterfeit book, but she knew by the expression on his face that something had gone wrong somwhere. She had never really seen him angry before, but it didn't take a genius to know somebody was upset. Her brow> 14:45:50 [Clover] furrowed again as she watched him. "Aemilius" Clover said. She stood up, putting the heavy book down on the couch where she had sat. She was wearing a pair of blue-plaid pajama pants that were far too big on her, and they pooled around her feet. A black tank top covered her chest, with binary code written across it. "What's wrong?" <e> 15:08:43 Scott_Masterson laid watching the dark spot in the sky where Aemilius and Joe had disappeared behind the building's rooftop, mind still swimming with all that had happened. The fading sense of both the ancient and his fledgling gave a clear indication that they were still moving away relatively fast. He had just begun to sit up, with the idea of simply calling 'help' until a human from the street came to investigate, when he caught sight of a form on the rooftop in his peripheral vision. Even as his eyes began flickering towards it it moved, jumping from it's position and landing only a few feet away, the sixty foot drop leaving little question to what he could now see was a man's race. For all he knew, this was just a lackey sent by Aemilius to finish the job Chanel had started, and had to presume it was a threat. He bared his fangs even as the man approached, though the expression faded and < 15:08:47 Scott_Masterson disappeared when the unknown vampire spoke and sat him slightly. He seemed to wage an internal debate before answering, his lack of trust very evident in his expression and making a strong effort to hide the rage that wanted to exlode, in the newfound absence of helplessness. "I need blood." he spoke plainly, hiding well--but not entirely--the pain in each shattered kneecap with each small movement. He returned the vampires gaze, with at least a small sense of comfort lended by the fact that, if this did turn out to be an enemy, he was at least close to claw once or twice. This one even looked like a vampire--though he supposed his own expensive suit fit that bill as well. At the moment, he didn't care if the lood belonged to a human or this vampire himself--though upon consideration, his realization just how 'un-powerful' he was, had already stirred < 15:08:53 Scott_Masterson a deep desire for more. And as far as he knew, feeding on older vampires was the singular way to achieve such a feat. 15:10:44 Aemilius Glared at Clover for a short moment before snapping off a hot answer, “A few children decided to pretend they were powerful. Now I have to spank one, and possibly kill the other.” His tone was partly sarcastic and partly strait forward. While he spoke his eyes feed off of her skin, moving down her arms, chest, and abs to notice the pooling of fabric at her feet. It wasn’t until he heard Joe’s hunger getting the best of her that his eyes moved away. Glaring at the youngling, and at Chanel, “This one is mine.” His statement held a commanding tone to it, like a father speaking to his children telling them not to touch something, it held a very serous ‘or else’ feeling within it . Both of his blue eyes refocused on Clover, “Please sit,” pointing to the couch she had just stood up from to greet him. If she did sit he would sit next to her and place a arm around her shoulders, “Chanel, I believe we have some unfinished business to discuses,” -c- 15:11:45 Aemilius Pointing with a open hand to the chair that sat on the other side of the table where Clover had set her books upon. “First I’d like to send a car out for Scott, I would also like to speak with him this night. Perhaps give him another chance to save his whore of a vampire slayers life.” Glaring at Joe, he begged her with his eyes to try something. All he really needed was one more reason to kill her, and it would be done. The only reason she lived now, was that she was a strategic advantage in the game he manipulated. Scott would do anything for her, and that was his weakness. A weakness that he respected, and would use for his own sinister purposes. “As for you Chanel, what makes you so soft? Did I not teach you we were merciless? Even when dealing with our own, you must be heartless!” Slamming his fist down upon the arm of the couch to emphasize his anger.-c- 15:12:13 Aemilius “Scott should have died by your hands tonight, by letting him live you spit on your own honor. An thus I start to debate your worth to me Chanel. Scott demands respect from even you,” speaks in a disgusted voice. “He’s barley old enough to have seen a fall of any civilization. And yet you, whom watched two great nations crumble, let this boy spit in your face and live to tell of it? It disgusts me that you’ve become so weak! You, whom I would have spent eternity with. You who is of my blood disrespect the gift I gave you by letting him live. The woman whom killed as ruthless as I have.” Trying to calm him self, he would begin to focus on Clover whom sat next to him. His hand would rub her back, and work its way up to her neck as he continued speaking.-c- 15:13:18 Aemilius But this time his voice would be silky smooth as if Clover calmed him somehow, “Perhaps… I should give Scott your privileges and cast you from my house and turn my back to you? This man has proven that he is resourceful time and time again. Upon tasting the vampire hunters blood I realized his potential…. And tonight only made it more clear to me.” All the while he spoke his hand traveled around Clovers shoulder, and his finger curled under the collar of her tank top, tracing the stitching with his finger slowly. “Tell me Chanel, what were you thinking? Letting this man get away with trying to harm you?”-e- 15:20:00 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Without further question, Salerin smiled, looking down at the male’s legs, noting the broken kneecaps. He sighed and lifting his right hand, brought it to his own lips, gently using once fang to cut into the flesh. He lowered his wrist towards the man’s lips, feeling the blood well up at the wound and start to flow. Salerin tensed his right hand slightly, increasing the blood flow. While doing this, he closed his eyes and focused some of his own energies. He sent more of his own energy into his right arm, so that the blood was potent, and so that the unknown vampire that he was now helping would not need as much. He wasn’t sure how fast this vampire would heal using his blood to fuel the energy. He opened his eyes and looked down at the male, smiling though the smile never reached his eyes. Salerin looked up at the sky as he spoke, his voice deep and melodic. “You’re knee’s are badly injured… I hope that my blood can help you heal. The elder… He took your fledgling, did he not?” Salerin had once more turned<c 15:20:07 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] his dark eyes down to the man he was helping. His mind brushing outwards, sensing a few humans in the area, but other than that, nothing. He could still sense the vampire that he was helping, though there seemed to be no others in the area. He wasn’t sure though, due to his concentration on Scott.<e> 15:29:24 Chanel wasn't all that interested in Joe's likes and dislikes. Certainly not when all of this could've been avoided. But pride had played out, and a cost had been taken. She half expected dislike, perhaps even a bit of hatred. It wasn't anything new from the girl, that was for sure. "You need new hobbies." She murmered, with a glance towards Joe. Clover, she didn't even address, but she knew the human was in the manor somewhere. She smiled at a thought, and turned to Joe, ignoring the look of hatred that plastered her face. "You know.." She said thoughtfully "Your face will get stuck that way." She repressed a shudder as Aemilius turned his gaze at hers, and she tugged Joe into the parlor with her. "Sit at my feet." She swept in, and took the seat Aemilius pointed out to her. She sank into it, but she didn't relax at the thunder on his face. Her eyes instead shifted to Clover, studying her with the same distaste one would study a bug. Unworthy of anything but a meal. Wait, bugs aren't meals..ew..At the mention 15:29:27 [Aemilius] . 15:29:38 [Chanel] of the meal, she sniffed, a smirk tugging at her lips. "As you will." She shrugged. He could feed on her if he likes. Humans were nothing but chattal anyway. Her eyes returned to Aemilius as he sat down, and nodded. "Do you really think she deserves to be saved..?" She glanced at Joe, her eyes unreadable. Her head snapped back to Aem, her face paling further at his reproach. Her undead heart sank in her chest, but she refused to show him any feelings but composure, barely daring to speak. Her fingers curled in the wood of her chair, bruising the timber. Should she really let him talk to her like this? This prince of darkness? what was he but the first vampire? "If you wish to cast me out, then I have no choice but to obey, now don't I?" She said, barely controlling the rage just beginning to surface. She really had no words for the reproach. "And you, my Sire, it would please you to watch me End. You did nothing." She realized quickly her error, when she spoke, the words getting the better of her. But she di 15:29:53 [Chanel] did not take them back. Instead she stood up, her fingers curling into fists. "What is she but chattal?" Her eyes focused on Clover, all the rage directed at her now. "Has she poisoned your mind that you might regard this...thing as....Oh, I dont even want to know!" She shuddered, her temper flaring. "Last I checked, Sire I had the free will to do what I wanted. It was my choice, and I'm not taking it back." She said, crossing her arms. 15:39:33 [`Joe] "I didnt believe that when my mother said it. I won't be beliving it now." she whispered to the woman before being pulled into parlor. Her eyes instantly found the human. The sound of her heart beating and the blood pumping beneather her veins evident against the other sounds in the room. Every impulse in her had her wanted to move to the girl and sinking her teeth into the soft flesh of her neck. But the look, the tone from Aemilius killed those impulses in an instant. Instead, she moved with Chanel and sat beside the chair. She didnt know why she did it. But she did. We'll just call it self preservation. When Aemilius began his tirade at Chanel, she looked up at the woman wondering if she was going to just sit there and take it. In Joe's eyes, the woman had really done no wrong. It was her choice whether to let the two of them live or die. And she had made her choice. Her unanswered question's were soon answered as Chanel stood and shot back with words at the man. The master sire that he was. ---- 15:39:38 [`Joe] That was sure to piss him off, she'd almost bet. As the two elders spoke to one another, her eyes seemed to drift to the human. The snack that sat amongst her potential death. She looked so unafraid. Did she know what she sat with? What monsters these three were? She could only guess not. Her mind then traveled in another direction. Aemilius seemed to cherish this human so. And so she'd be the perfect bargining chip. She let her thoughts wander as the two elders argued, staying silent throughout it all. 15:41:43 [Clover] The fact that he snapped at her didn't seem to have much of an affect, or at least one that might be normal for a human standing in front of a very angry creature. She canted her head to the side a little, not quite sure if he literarily meant what he said. She decided not to press the issue though. Not yet at least. She looked at the two other women who came in as if they were interesting paintings at the museam. She shrugged lightly as Aemilius told her to sit back down and picked the heavy tome up. She opened it back up on her knees, sitting normally now, and pretending to not really be paying attention to the conversation. She opened the book back up as she felt him sit next to her, and didn't look up to meet his eyes. The delicate hairs on the back of her neck started to stand on end as she felt his hand trail up her spine through her tank top and to the back of her neck. To the untrained eye, she actually looked like she was ignoring him. She sat there, still peering at the fake papyrus and glossy ink> 15:42:03 [Clover] of the book and didn't so much as twitch at his touch. It was like watching a person begin to pet an uninterested cat. It wasn't that she was not interested in his gentle touch, it was that she thought better than responding to it when they were in the company of others. A soft blush began to creep across her cheeks as she felt his fingers move over her collar bone, and she shifted, just a little uncomfortably. She was completely ignoring Chanel and the conversation until Chanel stood up and started to call her names. "Obviously, I'm not just 'chattal' to him." Clover said, cooly, as she peered at the vampire over the rim of her box framed glasses. She had no fear to her voice, or any real emotion at all. She turned her attention back down at the book she was examining. "or he wouldn't have his arm around me." She didn't talk like them. She was casual, and didn't seem to share in the turmoilt of emotions flying through the room. She flipped the page of the book, accidently tearing the corner and lifting the> 15:42:28 [Clover] edge of the book so that she could look at the edge of the tear. "..so fake.." she mumbled. <e> 15:46:49 Scott_Masterson had no idea what to expect. Maybe the vampire would find him a human to feed on, or let his own blood flow, or maybe he just wanted to be close enough to snap Scott's neck without trouble--something he was in a far too easy position to accomplish. When Scott saw the wrist raised to the vampire's mouth, the answer became evident. He took the dripping hand hesitantly at first, eyeing the stranger as though trying to decipher everything about him with a single gaze. Of course, that was impossible, and another shock of pain in his knees made the hesitation vanish. He held the wrist to his mouth with a grip that steadily tightened, and just as before the vampire blood was far more potent than the human variety. He did not expect it to heal him instantly, but the pain was already dulled and nearly forgotten, and the process of bone and sinew melding and regenerating would undoubtedly be quickened. He expected to drink for as long as he could before he was forced away, but to his surpise the feeding < 15:46:52 Scott_Masterson only lasted a fraction of what he had expected it to take before he was full. His confusion showed as he let go of the wrist and glanced back to the vampire He could only nod in response to the vampire's first statement and only briefly wondered how he had known it was Scott's knees that were injuried, before deciding it must have been obvious--maybe the vampire had even heard the scraping of fragmented kneecaps against eachother and determined the injury that way. By now, the pain was all but forgotten with the presence of the euphoric feeding haze--and he could tell already that he was healing faster. He glanced back up to the sky upon hearing the second question, answering in a voice that was somewhere between mad and drugged. " He did." He paused for a short moment, finding the strength to shift away from the vampire, drag himself a few feet and lean against the brick wall with each leg outstretched in front of him. 15:47:02 Scott_Masterson " Who are you?" He asked bluntly, in a broken voice, a hint of mistrust showing even despite the apparent generosity of the stranger. Aemilius had once seemed generous too, after all...as had Chanel. It was only now that the claws on each of his fingers slowly retracted, and the red glint in his eyes dimmed. 15:56:24 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Salerin smiled softly as he shifted, leaning his back against the wall behind him and across from Scott. He lifted his right wrist to his lips, and licked at the wound for a few moments as it closed over. He didn’t need to feed, but he probably would anyways, just to stay at the top of his game. He tilted his head as the man spoke, he thought about Aemilius for a few moments, and looked up from the ground as he heard the male ask for his name. It puzzled Salerin that a younger vampire would bother to pay that much attention to those whom were helping him. Salerin smiled and looked at him, his eyes still showing no emotion. “My name is Salerin Daratrazanoff. May I have yours, young one?” He could sense that Scott was much younger, though he wasn’t sure how much younger the man was. He turned his head as a female human walked past the alley. He thought for a few moments of calling to her, using her to feed, but instantly disregarded the desire, sensing a fetus within her body.“How long have you been one of us?< 15:56:34 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] It doesn’t feel as though it has been that long, considering our longevity…” Salerin asked with true curiosity, why was this vampire, of all those in the city, the one to be struck down by such an elder? He was not sure what had happened yet, and wasn’t sure if he would ever find out, though, through careful research, Salerin had found out almost anything he had wanted to know.<e> 16:00:51 Kristina rolled over as she glanced at the clock landing on the half read Anne Rice book it appeared she’d fallen to sleep reading it. She pulled the book from under her and tossed it absently into a pile of clothing across the room on a random chair. She rose then from bed as she walked to the bathroom glancing absently at her in the mirror. She winced she was ghostly pale she honestly looked horrible a few bruises covered her skin another night she didn’t remember. She turned away in disgust almost wanting to smash the mirror as she slipped into the shower cleaning up. She was at a writer’s block as she hadn’t written a new song in a bit everyone got them she chided herself as she finished her shower and slipped out. c 16:01:03 Kristina Wasn’t sure if getting dressed had a point as she just pulled on pajama’s and sat bored on the window watching the various people come and go like bugs scurrying about the darkened streets below. Grudgingly she pulled her book from the pile and turned her gaze to the pages reading quietly it wasn’t as if there was much more to do. Reading grew dull fast like everything else finally she gave up and tossed the book against the wall cussing softly she got dressed in jogging pants and a sweatshirt pulling her hair back yes since less actions. Grabbing her MP3 player she left her apartment keys in one hand and MP3 in the other the sound of “Whispers In The Dark” thudding in her ears she waved as she passed the guard taking off in a run as soon as her feet hit the pavement best way to work of stress and keep in shape was jogging so she thought. She easily streaked along the various streets coming upon the bookstore she’d visited once, passing the ally she kept going. e 16:11:39 Aemilius Smiled as Chanel let her emotions get the better of her, “Chanel,” speaking in a comfortable voice, “I would never toss you out on the streets. You’re my child. But keep this in mind as a rule, if your attacked by anyone, kill them so they may not live to repeat their actions again.” Casually turned his gaze to Clover and smirked at her words. “Of course your not cattle,” he said in a cute voice, as if she were his lover. His hand slowly skimmed the slope of her neck, trying to draw out Goosebumps to its surface. Returning his attention to Chanel, “I am going to give Scott a title over this city. And give him back this hunter only after she proves that she is one of us.” A devilish smile would be cast towards Joe as he continued toying with Clover’s neck. It would be plane to see that the two had some romantic history, perhaps she was his lover for the night? Or had been for nights? <I>“Chanel, I want you to find Scott and bring him to me. -c- 16:12:07 Aemilius Tell him I’ve had a change of heart. But leave the youngling with me, I’d like to continue my conversations with her.”</I> If Chanel listened to her sire, he would smile and pretend all was forgiven. But as she began to walk off, that is if she did, he would interrupt her with a few parting reminders, “Oh Chanel…. If you raise your voice to me again… I’ll have to discipline you.” Some how the way he said it, it sounded more like a seductive invite then a punishment. If Chanel left Joe behind, he wouldn’t allow her to stand up. He simply held his hand out in a silent gesture commanding her to stay seated. A few moments would pass, and in those moments he occupied him self with Clover. Touching her neck, even kissing it lightly. It wasn’t until he was sure Chanel wasn’t around that he began talking. -c- 16:13:11 Aemilius In mid kiss upon Clovers neck he would speak with his mouth full, “Joe, I’m freeing you. I was going use you as a bargaining chip, but I know that wouldn’t work.” kissing Clovers neck once more. “I didn’t understand truly, that you both were in love with each other. And I know what love can cause immortals to do. Although I do not fear it, I think it would be a better use to me for him to focus his attention on other matters then trying to save you or getting even with me.” While kissing Clovers neck, his hand would slide down her back, “So rather then having to kill you both, I’d rather have you working for me? But before I free you I need to know your not one of them. So I will present you with a small task. Bring a few of your hunter friend’s heads to me. And I’ll leave you alone and treat you as a vampire. Rather then a Hunter that I know you to be.”</I> Smirking as his gaze turned towards Joe while in mid kiss upon Clovers lower neck.-c- 16:13:43 Aemilius The chuckling continued through his nostrils just before he bit into her neck ever so softly. He wouldn’t gulp from her neck, he would just allow the blood to coat his tongue. Once finished, he would draw his head back and glare at Joe, “I only ask that you show me respect, and I have earned it little one. My age is why you’ll respect me. The fact that I’ve lived so long as I have, should be reason enough for you to grovel at my feet. That gift that keeps you immortal was passed down by me, and gives me full authority to take it away when I please.” licking the wound on Clovers neck slowly, seductively. -e- 16:16:48 Scott_Masterson couldn't stop his mind from quickly drifting to Joe, relatively sure as he watched the vampire move to sit against the wall across from him that there as no immediate threat here. Where had Aemilius taken her? And what plans did he have on arrival? Maybe together, him and Joe would have composed a threat to at least one of the elders, and separating them had simply been a tactic to ensure their own safety. The theory was quickly disregarded upon remembering Aemilius' sudden change. They were no threat. It was easy to imagine the ancient taking on a dozen fledgling vampires and coming out on top. His eyes focused on the vampire as 'Salerin' introduced himself and mirrored his question. He had forgotten entirely to 'shield' his thoughts just in case the vampire had the ability to read them, and the fact that the stranger had asked Scott's name didn't necessarily mean he couldn't. 16:16:52 Scott_Masterson He cleared his mind as best he could, responding with an expression just as lifeless as Salerin's. " Scott. Scott McNeil." He gave a small nod accompanying the lie. Not giving his real name had become habit long before this alley, for mostly obvious reasons. The vampire spoke again, and again he found himself wondering if the information was really unknown to him, or this was some test of his own honesty. He was silent for a moment, a slightly bloodied hand pulling a crumpled pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, retrieving on of the few that weren't broken, and lighting it. He spoke afetr he exhaled a stream of bluish smoke from the corner of his mouth, seeming a little less suspicious and genty rubbing the knee closest to his free hand. " About a year now, give or take a month." . The truth was, even he wasn't sure just how long ti had been. 16:16:58 Scott_Masterson It was surprising how quickly time became irrelevant. " What about you? You don't 'feel' like an elder..." even as he spoke the words Scott became aware that he wasn't even sure. This vampire did not produce the same electric buzz in his senses that Aemilius and Chanel and Eris seemed to, though his mind was still clouded and he could have simply been missing something. He smoked slowly, mind drifting between Joe and Salerin. |

16:21:54 Xelie 's eyes fluttered open, as the sounds of her surroundings slowly whispered their presence into her sensitive ears. A frown upon her lips as her head was screaming fiercely at her. A headache..? Perhaps due to last nights activities, the blinding lights flickering around her as the photgraphers strived for the perfect shot. A photo shoot so easy, yet intricate in its procedures. She groaned softly, as she remembered those irritating flashes of lights last night, making her head throb painfully. But a model must do its job.. Oculars closing for a bit, dark and thick lashes weaving together as these eyes closed. Trying to settle herself. After doing so, she'd sit up in her bed, looking about slowly. Then standing, those delicate feet barely making a sound, as it was set upon the floor, the silky blankets slipping off of her form, revealing a skimpy yet comfortable ensemble of fine pale blue silk. This ensemble, worn by Xelie, her figure matching its soft tone as well as the material of which it was made of. (c) 16:22:20 [Xelie] Not that it mattered in the least, for no one would be able to see her in such an attire in her room. Graceful limbs being raised, hands coming up and against her soft black tresses, pushing them upwards as she stretched. Her usually silvery-white optivs are now a dark charcoal hue., staring out the window for a moment, thinking of what she would be doing as of the moment and later after getting dressed. As a soft sigh escaped her lips, she'd had already made her way towards her large wooden closet, opening this, she stared at the different sorts of clothes neatly arranged within this closet. A smirk playing at her lips, suddenly feeling alighted and sensual. Deciding to go with a black leather top, that stopped shortly above her belly button. This top hugging her curvaceous upper body. One inched sized straps holding the top in its place, at the neckline as a splitting "v" that touched the line just a few centimeters abover her bust, thus revealing her bustline just a bit. Under her breasts were long(c) 16:22:41 Xelie slits that were in line with her ribs, opened fashionably, revealing her creamy white skin, two more slits following the first, completely showing off her perfect sculpted body. A model's body in its perfect state, with this she wore a mini black leather skirt, its left side studed with silver and metallic crisscross patterns. On the right, a small inverted "v" like slit, three inches long. Gracing her long slender legs where tight leather boots, with heels that were thin and long. The desing upon this leather boot's front matched the crisscross of her skirt, but these crisscross design upon the boots were of leather strips neatly tied. Her apparel looking as if it was molded with that body of hers. Her lashes dark and naturally curled, looking as if mascara had already blessed them. lips flushed a dark red matching the intensity of her still dark black optics. Her soft black tresses, tousled just slightly, still managing to look elegant, despite of the contrast of choice upon her clothing. Strutting(c) 16:22:45 [Xelie] towads the mirror, she glanced at herself, deciding that perhaps going to Le Romantica would be the best idea. Flirting, chatting, feeding.. Yes it would be the best place for all of that. And with that, she stepped off, calling for a cab on her way out of the hotel. Everyone around her gaped and stared, staring at a simply inhumanly beautiful women. But to them, nothing was strange about her inhuman beauty, they just thought she was blessed with such looks. All they saw.. was Xelie Pertivierre, the most beautiful model in Paris. Or so they say...(e) 16:29:50 Chanel let out an explosive breath, her eyes narrowed upon Clover for a moment. "You are human. We eat human. I'm sure you'll get it eventually. Wake up to reality darlin, you're just food no matter how much he plays with it." She smirked, and turned her gaze back to Aemilius, her eyes flashing. She dared him to say something, to throw her out on the street. She dared him to do anything, to even deny that Clover was Chattel. What she didnt expect was his smile, and the way he looked at her. But she knew him long enough to know that not all smiles were genuine. Perhaps he was just indulging her. Still, it did the trick, and her cheeks flushed with anger. "Duly noted." She said, her voice crisp and sharp. She blinked, her eyes widening. "You're doing what?" She felt uncomfortable for a moment. Scott was getting a title? When she had been with him for how long and she had none? She went cold all over for the moment. "As you command." She said in an expressionless voice, and bowed to him in a dramatic cu 16:30:06 [Chanel] curtsey. Her eyes snapped, and she whirled on her feet, making her way towards the doors. She paused, turning her head as Aem stopped her with his words. But instead of responding, she just resumed walking again. It wasnt long before she was gone from the Manor. Once she was gone and could no longer feel his presence, she hugged herself close, the tension easing from her shoulders and body. She let herself calm down a bit as she walked down the streets. She could've flown, she oculd've been there for an instant, but she'd rather use the time to think. She needed despreately to think. 16:31:20 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Salerin thought for a few moments of his own age. He wasn’t even sure as he sat there. He focused on his birthdate, and compared it to the current day. He slowly shook his head and lifted his gaze once more to the male Scott. “I’m five-hundred-thirteen… I’ve been around a while… Though I know there are some out there that are older than I. Some wonder if this longevity is a curse, or a gift… I say that it truly depends on the carrier of the longevity. This false ‘Immortality’ is nothing like what the real thing is. I’ve never met a true immortal, and I probably never will.” Salerin had shifted slightly as he flared out his senses, catching the feel of some other creatures that were not humanoid. Animals. It was a simple thought and he realized without even trying, that he could summon a few of the many that were in the area. He had no need of the creatures, and as such, left them to their own. His dark eyes, black, only glistening by the moonlight studied the man in front of him, and it made him smirk. 16:31:27 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] “I’m sorry that I could not offer my aid to you before, perhaps the elder would not have taken your fledgling if I had gotten here sooner. I understand your loss, though you would not understand mine.” Salerin held back the swell of emotion that had suddenly flowed into his mind. He remained still, his body going that statue like stillness that only vampires that had been around for centuries could possibly master. He had never seen a vampire younger that at least one-hundred-fifty years fall this still.<e> 16:37:57 [`Joe] Her attention was taken from the seemingly oblivious Clover back to Chanel and Aemilius as Chanel was sent away to retrieve Scott. Something seemed to brighten in her, her features lighting up some at the thought of being able to see him again. She didnt speak. Her eyes held the form of Chanel until it vanished from sight and the feeling of her had completely disappeared. It was then and only then that she turned to face the eldest of the vampires, keeping herself seated on the floor. She listened to him speak. Not saying even the smallest hint of a word. By the time he'd finished speaking, her mind was going in a hundred different directions and she couldnt seemed to hardly catch onto one thought. It was however his request that stood in the forfront, causing her eyebrows to knit. Heads of the guild were impossible to get to, let alone bring them somewhere. Hell, she didnt even know thier names. She'd been trained by another hunter, never once meeting the heads. No one had. Not for a very long time.---- 16:38:00 [`Joe] "I can't." she said simply. And she couldnt. His request was impossible. It wasnt that she didnt want to do as he said, if only to save the lives of Scott and herself. It was impossible to get that close. She could however, offer something in trade. Something just as good. Something she couldnt believe she was going to do. But again, self preserverance was at the forfront of her mind. "I cannot get you a head. I can, however, bring to you a hunter like myself. She isnt a full hunter yet. But she's close." Gina forgive her, but she had to do something. Even if it was giving up the only person she'd loved in life. "Thats all I can do." 16:49:52 Scott_Masterson let the cigarette hang between his fingers unattended as the vampire spoke again, his mind snapping away from Joe's well being and back to the present as he focused. The answer came as a surprise, both at the knowledge of how old the figure across from him was, and at the fact that he had not hesitated to share the information. All of the other elders--a group that, it was now apparent, this vampire did belong to, had not answered the question when asked. Despite not doubting the claim, it was stil hard to believe as he looked over what his eyes told him was a twenty-something man. Scott was not familiar enough with history to even begin understanding the life that the vampire had led, though it went without saying it must have been eventful, at the least. Salerin mentioned never meeting a true immortal, and Scott gave a false laugh before responding " I think I just did." But he wasn't going to explain < 16:49:55 Scott_Masterson to the elder how Aemilius had changed, into something that closer resembled a demon than a vampire. Knowing just how powerful he was, Scott had little doubt that Aemilius could in fact read his mind--and he had no desire to offend the ancient by sharing such secrets, though it was much more accurate to say that he no desire to be caught after doing so. A small silence passed and he remembered the cigarette, bringing it back to his lips and studying the figure with a new sense of awe before Salerin spoke once more. He was surprised again when Salerin apologized. This elder shared the same sense of humbleness that he had originally seen in Aemilius, back in Canada--though that was hardly reassuring. He was beginning to think vampires were, by nature, deceptive creatures. < 16:50:01 Scott_Masterson " Nice of you to say, but...I doubt your presence would have been a good thing, even despite your age. The one who took Joe...he's an ancient. Or, beyond ancient. I really have no fucking clue what he is anymore.Maybe not even a vampire." His free hand continued probing the knee, applying varying amounts of pressure to judge the healing's progress based on the severity of the pain the motion caused. " Or do you already know Aemilius?" he realized his presumption suddenly. If this vampire ahd been around for over five hundred years, it seemed safer to presume he did already know the ancient. 16:59:58 Chanel walked down the street, her heels clipping along the cobbled streets of Paris. Flickers of music danced past her ears, the sound of laughter escaping some open window. She ignored the bicycles that moved past her. She sidestepped, moving into an alleyway. She moved like Grace herself, her form barely sending a flicker of clothing to move. She disappeared into the oblivion that was shadows, and paused, just on the otherside. Apparently Scott was right where she had dropped him. She felt a small smile curve at the thought. She watched the two vampires speak from the cover fo teh shadows, letting the darkness overshadow her presence, even as she studied the others. She could kill Scott now of course. Say that it was a tragic death she had visited upon when she came to find him. Perhaps even say that someone else finished the job. But she was playing a dangerous game as it was. It wouldn bode well for a mysterious death to one that was obviously being rewarded. Finally, after a few moments, she stepped out of th 17:00:19 [Chanel] the shadows, the shadows sliding away from her pale form to reveal the one that was Chanel. "You are very highly regarded in some circles, Scott. Perhaps more than you should be." Her voice was dead in tone, but anger still lurked in the shadows of her gaze. The other man, she only flickered her glance to, but nothing more. She did not know him, and if she did, she wasn't saying anything. 17:02:01 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Salerin tilted his head slightly hearing the name Aemilius. It was a name he had heard many times in the past, and it was evident that the ancient’s name would appear more and more throughout his life. It made Salerin look at the male as though puzzled. “I’ve never once met the so called father of this… ‘Immortality.’ Though I have heard many stories, and I have heard many myths claiming that he was not the first of our kind. Perhaps he is, perhaps he is not. I am not sure, and I don’t truly care. A hunter like myself never truly decides to care what others of the race are. I simply do as I feel is right. If that means slaying one as old or older than I, then so be it. I will, at that point, give it my all to perform such task. I have killed countless vampires, male, female, young, old. It doesn’t matter. It is said that with age comes power, and knowledge. I believe that is somewhat true, yet I believe some will always be more powerful than others.” Salerin turned his head slightly, sensing another vampire<c 17:02:11 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] somewhere in the vicinity. It was a large area that he was scanning so they still had plenty of time. The man’s knees would probably be healed by the time the other vampire was even within a close enough vicinity to do damage. The vampire, whoever it was, didn’t seem aware of his presence. “You say, that elder that took your fledgling was Aemilius, the supposed eldest of this race, correct?” It still intrigued Salerin to think that someone as old as Aemilius would bother showing up himself to harm one so young as Scott. The male turned his head to survey the female Chanel as she approached, speaking directly to the male across from him, 'Scott'. Salerin wasn't sure how old the vampire approaching was, but he didn't truly care. He stood, stepping around to place his five-foot-eleven frame between the female vampire and the male whom was still injured, Scott. "What business do you have with Scott, vampiress?" 17:10:12 [`Joe] There were going to be a few things to consider going into this. The main thing; getting to Gina. Or luring her out. That was going to be a huge problem. The green haired girl knew what Joe was. And Joe knew that if they were to face each other once more, Gina would have to do her duty and try to kill her. Or be killed in the process. She should have chosen someone else. Someone easier to obtian. Someone that didnt know what she was. Didnt know the fate that had fallen upon her. That was unless Gina had done what she asked her not to, and told someone. Which she knew, or alteast hoped she knew Gina enough to know that she wouldnt have. This was going to take some fine tune planning. Standing once Aemilius had left, retreating to where ever it was that he went when he didnt want to be bothered, she began to pace the floor of the parlor. She could have Scott lure her out. He'd do that for her she believed. Have him tell her that she had arranged a meeting and wanted to see her. Needed to see her. ----- 17:10:16 [`Joe] And then what? Bash her over the head with something and carry her to Aemilius to face her death? Something in her couldnt bare to think about that. She'd find a way. She'd have to. Stopping in her back and forth motion, she stared out the window and wondered how long it would take for Scott and Chanel to return. She didnt want to be in this place alone. Didnt want to be left alone with her own thoughts. Once more she moved again. This time, to the phone that she had spotted on the wall. She decided what she was going to do. And she needed to be alone for this. Lifting the reciever, she dialed the number. Two rings later and that cheery, teenage voice rang loud and true through the phone, and it broke her heart. "Gina. It's Joe. I need to see you." 17:19:58 Xelie The cab came, well 3 of them came and lined u before her too be of service to her, which only made her smile in response. Entertained by the response, she chose the first cab to have driven in front of her. A smirk upon her lips as she stepped into the back seat. Staring out the window as she watched the cab drive past the hotl, making its way towards the club. A soft sigh escaping her lips as she glanced out the window. The niight sky was beautiful, and it seemed to darken in shades after each minute. Only even more lovely within the sight of her powerful eyes. Taking the cab? When she could have simply ran, well she just wanted to take her time, since nothing so exciting was happening. Hoping that something interesting would happen. Her thoughts being interrupted by the raspy voice of the cab driver. "Excuse me, Mademoiselle.. We have arrived." The cab driver, turing to face her, gawked stupidly at her as he studied her face. Her gaze shifting towards him, she'd smile warmly. Resulting a blush(c) 17:20:25 Xelie from the driver, she slipped an envelope towards the man and opened the door. "Thank you.." Was all she said to the man as she stepped out. Her voice simply intense with its sensual and alluring undertones. Leaving the man gaping for a few seconds before driving off into the night. Her creamy white skin glowing beautifully under the night sky, the bouncers standing by the door, merely nodded at her direction, already knowing who she was at once, they let her through with ease. A smile upon her face as she slipped through the doors, immediately greeted by the energetic sounds and pulsations from the music as well as the people within it. Easily dancing her way into the center of the writhing bodies, not that she cared, her eyes locked down to the floor, as she inhaled, pleased at once with the sudden comfort, pulling at everyone's mind. Consuming, soon the dark color in her eyes changed, into that liquid and smoldering silvery-white hue. Glancing around, her curvaceous form smoothly and(c) 17:20:44 [Xelie] gracefully moving in rythm. The tune somehow changed, and her gaze shifted towards the DJ within the club. His gaze was set upon her, the tune changed into a more, slow sensual tune. Wherein the bodies danced more closely together. Bodies flirting with each other. And so she did the same, simply dancing around with whomever was around her. Hips swaying hypnotically, her form sliding down slowly as her hips swayed, then moving back up smoothly in a slow motion. The bodies around her attracted by her sensual moves, one even dared to dance right up behind her. She didn't mind, turning to gaze at whomever it was, seeing a male. Of course, it didn't really matter, he looked quite drunk, and his breath proved that. But that just gave her an excuse, thus she danced close to the male, letting her hips sway ever so closely to his groin. And while doing so, she doubled the pull upon him. Within just seconds, he fell backwards, before even having time to react to the closeness of her body against his. She merely (c) 17:20:52 Xelie , feeling quite satiated for the moment, just lingering in the midst of the dancing people. The others laughing at the male who just fell down behind her. They were thinking that he was just drunk, not knowing that what she had done.. The others however, did not just danced around her... but some seemed to just stare at her. The staring got annoying after a while, so she decided to shimmy her way towards the barstools.(e) 17:23:44 Scott_Masterson listened further and just as intently to Salerin's words, and simultaneously let his mind drift back to Joe. The vampire's words seemed full of wisdom, and he supposed they had to be after such a long life. The idea that Aemilius was not in fact the oldest vampire in exist was both encouraging and terrifying. It was difficult to imagine anyone more powerful than the vampire Aemilius, but also incredibly believable, knowing just how inaccurate his presumptions had proven to be thus far. His focus was renewed when Salerin spoke of being a hunter, of a different sort than Joe had been in life. A sort of 'vigilante vampire'. The concept was intriguing, even despite how difficult it was to picture this 'young man' before him showing any sort of viciousness--he was aware of just how deceptive appearances could be, both among humans and his own kind. It had become apparenthe suddenly caught an undetected presence in his periperal vison, glancing away from Salerin and spotting Chanel < 17:23:47 Scott_Masterson standing not far away in the alley as though she had been present the entire time and simply invisible. It was quickly becoming apparent that the powers of old vampires exceeded even Scott's own imaginings in those first weeks of his new life--or for that matter, earlier that day. Even before she spoke, he began drawing his knees slowly up to his chest and quickly deciding that he could in fact stand on them now. If she had returned to finish the job she had started, he was not going to die without a fight, leaning against a wall and defenseless. And there those claws were again, poking at the tips of his fingers from the inside and ready to spring at a second's notice. His expression darkened noticeably, and that red glint flashed brighter than it had been moments ago. She spoke and the words were easily deciphered--she wanted him dead, Aemilius did not. It was only a slight relief, knowing that there were more than likely plenty of ways the female ancient could make him < 17:23:57 Scott_Masterson wish for death, without actually delivering it. His hands lowered slowly to the ground underneath him, obviously prepared to jump to his feet if it became necessary, and despite now knowing that Chanel shared Joe's gift for speed with all the potency of an elder. He spoke in a sour voice, the hatred seeping from each word and in direct contrast to when Chanel had last been present. " If she dies, I *will* kill you. If I have to I'll force you to end me, and then Aemilius can do the same to you for defying his orders." He flicked the cigarette towards the street, his glare not leaving hers and hiding well the fear he now had for the vampiress. " Where is she?" He added, his tone just as dry and barely containing a threat behind them. <E> 17:37:39 Chanel turned her head to gaze at Salerin impassively. "As the childe of the First Vampire, Aemilius, I have every right to conduct business with this vampire." She flickered her glance to Scott, and then back to Salerin. She pierced him with a steady stare. "Who are you to deny me, Vampire?" She flickered a warning glance at Scott not to do anything stupid. She had already spared his life twice, first in saving it from the Huntress, and again when she failed to kill him. He owed her. She let her eyes trail over the ruin of his kneecaps, already on their fast track towards being healed. Hopefully he had taken the lesson to heart, that attacking her was indeed not the smart thing to do. She leaned back against the wall with her arms crossed as she studied Scott and his newfound friend, Salerin with impassiveness. At his words, she laughed, her eyes sparking with amusement. "You will Kill me? Oh how sweet. Its almost believable, with how I ran circles around you earlier." Her lip quirked in the effort not 17:38:02 [Chanel] to smile too much. She tilted her head. "What makes you think you know him so well, fledgeling?" She gave a shrug, impassé as it were. "Nevermind. She is alive, and she is well. That is all that matters. Let me remind you that I've given you your life twice now. Do not tempt me, or I will take it a third. You should be grateful that i have not ended your miserable existance, weakling. And even more that Joe still walks this earth." She let out a breath, smoothing out the annoyance in her voice. She quirked a brow. "Miserable creature that you are, Aemilius has decided to extend to you his wishes of well being.." Her lip twitched at the thought. "Upon your acceptance, of course, you are to be titled, something that I think you should graciously accept. It isnt every day our ruler is so generous. I guess today is your lucky day. And..." She continued. "Oh, I almost forgot..." She smirked. "Aemilius also says that you will get your hunter back only after she has proven herself to be one of us." She q 17:38:13 [Chanel] quoted. "Now please, come with me. You will of course be able to visit Joe, but I cannot release her to you until Aemilius finds it worthy. You may bring your friend as well.." She said, growing bored as she turned to see if they would follow. 17:42:02 [`Joe] Everything was set. Gina had agreed to meet with her the following night. She was going to bring nothing and tell no one. She'd simply expressed that she needed to make sure Joe was alright. Or as alright as she could be being a vampire. The time was set for just after dusk. She'd slip from the bistro, claiming she had a date with freinds and meet Joe at the apartment building. Everything seemed to be going into place. She still felt bad though. Gina was so young. Didnt deserve this. Maybe Aemilius would be kind to her. Spare her life. He was obviously able to be kind to the human race. The female on the couch was proof of that. She could only pray the elder wouldnt simply just kill the girl to get at Joe. Shaking her head, she stepped away from the phone, regretting what she was doing and moved to lay across the could, closing her eyes. This night had been too long and she now only wished for sunrise. For sleep. But most for Scott. After tonight she would make it a purpose to never leave his side again. --- 17:42:06 [`Joe] Sighing, she draped her arm across her stomache and her ankles across each other. This is where she would be if and when Chanel returned to the manor with Scott. 17:47:12 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Salerin turned his head slightly, sensing, more than seeing Scott. He stepped backwards, his black gaze unmoving from the female vampire in front of him. He shifted his weight to accommodate his new position and reached back towards Scott, showing that he would once more give the male aid should he need it. “I would be careful of what you invite back to your sire’s manor. You know nothing of me, and yet you invite me into Aemilius’ house. Though your offer is a very gracious one, and I suppose I’ll have to accept. Seeing as I am helping this ‘weakling’ as you called him. I don’t care who you seem to think you are… You should be more careful.” Salerin smirked softly and placed one shoulder beneath Scott’s arm, helping to lift and steady the male as he started to walk along after the female. “My name is Salerin Daratrazanoff. Heed my warning when I say, do not try anything stupid whilst in my presence.” The male knew that his family line, the Daratrazanoff’s were often revered as great warriors, and he, was in< 17:47:20 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] fact, one of the few that still lived. He could remember his brothers and sisters, though the family line was mainly male. Many had died in battle. Some had decided they had existed long enough, and walked into the sun, seeking the death that it’s great warmth would give them. His five-hundred-thirteen years had given him many a battle and a few scars. Most of which had healed over time. He was grateful of his sire’s power, and that it had passed down to him as well.<e> 18:00:34 Xelie made her way towards the center of the barstool, sitting at this spot, knowing that three other male's followed her, she pretended she didn't notice for they seemed like toys wanting to be played with. And in her mood as of the moment, she did want to play. A left graceful hand coming up to stroke at her lush black hair idly. Then feeling these males taking a seat on both her sides, the other male standing just behind her. Her lashes cast down as she looked down at the table, pretending to be unaware of their presence, as if they were just there to chill and get a drink. She'd look to the bartender, barkeeper or whatever they call the person. Smiling playfully towards the bartenders form, then speaking clearly through the loud music. "I'll have.. the usual, red wine, warm not chilled or with ice.. some bloody idiot gave me a glass with ice bobbing up and down.." She mumbled the last part about the ice bobbing up and down to herself. Slipping forth another small envelope, containing payment(c) 18:00:56 Xelie for the drink. As she waited she turned her stool around, pretending to be surprised when she saw one of the three males standing there in front of her. "Oh.. Hello there.." She'd say, her tone that same alluring and sensual tone, appealing and attracting to anyone's senses. Leaning back against the table behind her, arms gracefully placed against hersides, holding onto the seat, making her look vulnerable to them. <i>As if I will ever be vulnerable to the likes of you..</i. She thought to herself, her left slender leg crossing over the right, showing off her long under the knee high, leather boots, with heels that were thin and a few inches long. The crossing off her legs made the short mini leather skirt crumple back, revealing more of her creamy white thighs. This action made them to inhal sharply, and as silently as they could, but her sensitive ears didn't miss annything. The male before her seemed to just gape at her in response. But then cleared his throat to speak.(c) 18:01:09 Xelie "Ah.. my friends and I were just wondering why such a lovely young women such as yourself would be alone in a place like this." His companions nodding in agreement, smirks on their faces. But the pretense continues, pretending not to notice their sly looks to one another. At the corner of her eyes, she noticed the other two glanccing up and down her form, noticing her eye catching attire, and how much skin it was revealing. It entertained her, for she was licking playfully at their minds, pulling just slightly and seeing how their minds reacted, merely playing with her food for the moment.(e) |

18:02:17 Scott_Masterson didn't let his eyes leave Chanel's, though he was more than a little aware of Salerin standing inbetween them--almost as though the vampire intended to defend him, though it was hard to believe loyalty could be gained so quickly from an elder. Still, in the short moments they had spoken it had become clear that Salerin was not of the same mindset as Aemilius and Chanel, and therefore nothing could be presumed about the relative stranger. Maybe the vampire was fully capable of ending Chanel, and had done so previously to similiarily aged vampires as he had claimed. The idea was reassuring, even as Chanel approached...Salerin's personality, if it was not simply a masquerade, made it clear that not all vampires were inherently 'evil', and that undemanding allies could be gained. Chanel spoke first to Salerin--at which point, for a moment, he thought there might be a fight between them, and had already decided to watch rather than risking his fragile life on aiding the self proclaimed hunter. Chanel < 18:02:21 Scott_Masterson responded to Scott and he knew instantly that she had realized just how empty his threats had been. Of course he couldn't kill her, and of course he would avoid his own death at all costs--even if it meant neglecting vengeance on her. The lack of fear in her was obvious, and well-deserved, and he couldn't help but feeling that sense of helplessness return for a short moment, before he willed it's place filled with anger once more. He listened to her words carefully, not understanding at all what she meant by a 'title'. It sounded as though he were to be knighted, or some other equally ridiculous thing, and it only confused him. Maybe it was just a fancy vampire term for 'torture'. Still, the promise that Joe was indeed still alive and unharmed was reassuring. She had no reason to lie, and he had no doubt Chanel would have taunted him with Joe's death if it had taken place. He hesitated for a moment when < 18:02:28 Scott_Masterson she spoke again and slowly got to his feet, only a small amount of pain perceivable in his knees as he did so, both the result of Salerin and the ensuing healing process, as well as the steadily thinning haze that the feeding had brought on. He took a few awkward steps towards Chanel before his stride became normal, and he flashed Salerin a glance that undeniably said 'thank you' as he approached the man on his way to follow her. He hated that he couldn't sense Joe to verify Chanel's claim but, as he had very recently learned, the 'sense' of her did not in fact remain over large distances as he would have expected. " What do you mean, 'titled'?" He spoke to her back, his words only slightly less hateful than before. He was also flly aware that, if Salerin had not been present, he likely wouldn't have had the confidence to speak to her in such a way anymore. 18:12:54 Chanel glanced back at Salerin, a lock of dark hair brushing against the line of her jaw as she turned her head. "I have no fear of you, or whom you claim to be, Vampire." She arched her brow. She was who she was, not who she claimed to be. She looked at him in puzzlement. Truly, no one else would dare claim the title she held. Needless to say, she was used to getting her way, all that mattered was that he had chosen to follow. Even if he did have sound advice. As he introduced himself, she nodded. "Lady Chanel Del Vio." She smirked lightly, throwing in the title at last minute. While Salerins line was of warriors, hers was of royalty. Her Aemilius was the first and had ruled this city, and all that it encompassed for generations upon generations. Surely his name was to be feared. Chanel did not care so much for fear as she did for compliance. And Scott pleased her immensily at his deference, and that he chose to comply rather than fight. "Very good, you are learning." She murmered, a genuinely pleased smile 18:13:55 [Chanel] on her face. Chanel wasn't inheritantly evil, but she made sure that people thought so. It gained her nothing on her own account, but it pleased Aemilius immensily. Or at least she thought it would. Her undead existance was in Aemilius's hands, she could afford to do no less. It chaffed though, so when she could get away with it, she relaxed her reputation. Her eyes shifted to Scott's a moment. "You are to be awarded..though he did not disclose to me what. You'll have to find out, I guess?" She arched her brow. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Salarin as he walked. He had a warriors gait, surely. She half smiled to herself. She could find a use for him, certainly. Her thoughts drifted inward as she walked. She listened for their movements as she walked, not trusting that they would keep their counsel. Scott had eveyr reason to try to kill her, and he was more likely to succeed with a newfound friend, than he ever did alone. So she was watchful. 18:19:23 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Salerin rolled the title she had given him through his mind for a moment. The name signified that she was to be considered royalty. Royalty didn’t mean much to him. He truly didn’t care who they were, if they broke acts that he found, and had been tought, were truly unforgivable, or were far too cruel for even their people, he would have no choice but to take down the vampire that had in a sense, declared itself his enemy, even without knowing it. He sighed softly as he walked along with Scott, he knew that the vampire in front, the female, was fast, and that she had done the damage to Scott. He didn’t care why, but he already didn’t like what she had done. “Royalty at it’s finest I see… Regardless.. I have no reason to fear you, or your master, your sire, has no power over me or mine. I am free to act as what I truly am.” He shook his head slightly, knowing that she was not afraid, though she at this current moment, had no reason to be afraid. 18:24:16 [`Abigail] Taking a seat on the sill of a window of one of the buildings beside the group of vampires below, Abigail closed her eyes and reached out with her mind, sampling from each of them. It was only a small taste, not nearly enough for any of them to take notice, though her prescence, clad in an old white dress with no shoes, was a bit more noticable. Music was playing in the background, a sonata being played on an old phonegraph, drifting out of the window as she sang along, her voice soft and sweet, almost heavenly. Dark hair fell around her face as she rested her chin on her knee, watching the three of them. It was something interesting going on, she could tell by watching that it was important though for now she decided to simply watch, occasionally taking a sip of their energies. The two elders tasted sweeter, richer than anything that she'd tried before, aged like a fine wine. The younger of the group was not quite so good but neverless was much more fine than anything a human had to offer. Those among the-- 18:24:34 [`Abigail] living dead tasted so much differently than the mortals, so much better. But she could never take as much, they were far more sensitive to such things and so Abi was stuck taking a taste here and there, lest she become drunk on their lives. There was something about her that caused her to draw in toward those of power, or those of interest. She was unable to help it really, it was a lifelong pursuit of entertainment and intellectual stimulation. It had gotten her into trouble in the past but, eh, what good was existance without a little trouble? 18:28:10 Xelie Young..? I'm older than all three of you combined.. Thinking to herself, suddenly losing her interest, she stood up just as soon as her drink arrived, pressing the wine glass against her lips, then tilting her head back, letting the liquid slip through her lips, its warmth pleasing. after finishing this said drink, she'd turn and start walking off. Her change in mood caught the three males off guard. One of them so bold as to touch her wrist and try to pull her back. She merely turned, her gaze now icy and unwelcoming. "Get your hands..off of me.." These words harsh annd cold, piercing and straight forward. They were taken a back, but somehow recovered by being cocky, thinking that they were stronger than her, the man didn't let go. Ugh.. fine.. have it your way.. She'd softly think to herself, her facade now calm, her lips turned up into a challenging smirk. Her pull being tripled. Leaving the guy weak, and falling to his knees, grasping at his head. His companions falling to(c) 18:28:29 Xelie his sides as well, all three suddenly feeling tired, unwell, sleepy, and lethargic. Oh what the hell.. She smirked, turning and increasing her pull on all three, seconds later they fainted upon the floor. "Drunkards.." She said somewhat loudly, the people that heard, pointed and laughed at the three. Talking about how embarassing of them to fall down like that in front of Xelie Pertivierre. A smile upon her lips asa she held her hands behind her back, making her way towards the stairs leading towards the second floor. This floor reserved for the likes of her. With one gaze to the bouncers, they simply gasped and stepped aside. Knowing that with the inevitable beauty came power. xelie simply passed, walking gracefully up the stairs as if it were a runway. Making her way towards a chair with plush seats, her form being seated their. Suddenly freezing for a moment, feeling another of her kind, on the same floor. Interesting... In search of this creature, she was curious, unconsciously(c) 18:28:37 Xelie pulling slightly at the mind of this individual. Testing, tasting.. Hmm.. strange this mind tasted differently, so much more better than anyone else's.. Of course she was nly tasting, causing no harm, or threats, she has yet to find out, who this person is..(e) 18:34:47 Scott_Masterson kept his eyes on Chanel's back, denying the urge to get close enough and then attack now that he knew just how aware--and fast--she was. Despite that turned back of hers, he did not doubt that her attention was fully focused on him, and was now well aware of the futility in such an act. He hated that. Over the past year a confidence had been built that had left him with the perception that he was unbeatable, a force to be reckoned with and feared, and since arriving in France it had become painfully apparent that that was not the case. He walked at a steady pace, almost beside Salerin though a single pace behind. he wasn't sure if it was out of respect for the male vampire's age, or some internal hope that Chanel would become his latest target. Maybe both. When Chanel turned momentarily and said that he was to be rewarded, that confusion made a return to his expression. His first thought was that it was a lie, simply a story to ease his mind as he followed quietly to his death, but he was < 18:34:49 Scott_Masterson quickly aware of just how unnecessary such a lie would be. Chanel must have known he would follow her anyway. It was the only chance he had of seeing Joe again. When Salerin responded, he again half-expected that a fight between the two elders might occur--though he wasn't enitely sure that would be a good thing. As much he wanted to see Chanel slain, or at least hurt, if she died he would have no idea where to look for Joe. They could have been anywhere in France...maye even another continent by now, knowing Aemilius' abilities. Still, the newfound ally had to be respected. The vampire did not bow to whatever respect Chanel sought, and there must have been good reason for that. he began to wonder just what powers and secrets Salerin's mind contained, just as he had wondered the same with Aemilius what already seemed to be a liftetime ago. The recently met elder must have had awesome power to justify those words of his, and Scott didn't doubt it. He was completely unaware of < 18:34:57 Scott_Masterson the white-clad female form above and beside them, watching from a window sill and even then digging slightly into his own mind. His eyes stayed on Chanel, and now certain that it was safe to do so, he found and lit another cigarette. He stayed silent for the time being, talking to neither figure that he was aware of and simply letting his mind drift back to Joe and her whereabouts and well-being. He couldn't deny feeling incredibly inferior amongst this company, but that was not a new development. 18:38:04 Chanel was acutely aware of the others walking behind her. For a moment, it seemed like they were escorting her rather than the other way around, and it gave her a disturbing chill. She turned her head to gaze at them over her shoulder, and as she turned her head she noticed someone in white sitting on the sill of a window. Their eyes met, and she felt another shiver down her spine. Still, Aemililus's words came to her mind. To kill someone before they could cause her harm a second time. She paused, her eyes shifting forward again. Outward, her spine was straight, her carraige light, her movements light and quick. Inside, she was less sure of herself. Her title was the only thing she could throw around with any weight, and the promise of Aemilius's wrath if harm ever came to her. But she didnt let them know that. No, never if she could help it. She glanced up as she walked, and they came towards a manor. "This way.." She led them to the doors itself and walked in without hardly a bat of an eyelash. She p 18:38:18 [Chanel] paused and turned towards them. "Please be aware that you are now on the property of the oldest vampire living today. Please be respectful, and do not say or do anything that might get you killed. Understand?" Her eyes flickered from one to the other, and she began moving up the steps to the study where she had left Aemliius and Joe last. 18:46:37 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] Salerin had caught the feeling, however light of the female in white. His eyes didn’t waver, though his peripheral vision caught her in his sight. He did nothing in retaliation. He simply walked along behind the female. He could sense her displeasure that he had not been swayed at all by her title. He also sensed the hope that he gave the young vampire at his back. The male had unintentionally fallen to his flank, which was a sign of respect and at the same time, showed that the man hoped to help him in return. Salerin frowned, realizing that he had not fed since he had helped heal Scott. He looked up at the manor as it approached, and with it, he sensed more ‘life’ A human and at least two other vampires. One of great age. It didn’t bother him at all that he was now in the territory of the ‘Legendary’ Aemilius. He continued to walk with a soldiers valor, holding himself with the great strength that he possessed. He had no current intentions to start a quarrel, but knew that one was possible to happen here.<c 18:46:44 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] In his mind, he simply thought. Quarrels must be not settled at the conference table, but on the battlefield, not with the pen, but with the sword. Not with ink, but with blood. The quote was one that he in particular enjoyed. He had a few others, but this was by far his favorite.”Chanel… I’ll heed your warning as long as you heed mine.”<e> 18:54:09 [`Abigail] Locking eyes with the elder, Abigail gave a small, sweet smile that was both beautiful and chilling. Waiting for them to move out of her sight, she slipped off of the sill and hit the ground silently before starting off after them. Her curiousity was peaked and she was interested to see what it was that they were doing and where it was that they were going. It wasn't often that she saw that many moving together and with such drive. Abi was a loner herself, never bothering to find a set pack to join with, it was easier to sneak around when one was alone. Humming quietly, she followed them to the manor, moving around to the side and looking for a way to break in. If she could wait until the daylight when they were asleep, she could feed to her content and slip away through the basement or some other quick slip. Waving a hand in the air to conduct her own private symphony, she walked lightly along the way, an excuse for her prescence on the property already beginning to form in her head. One did not make it as-- 18:54:24 [`Abigail] a troublemaker without having a good excuse always at the ready. 18:56:49 Scott_Masterson remained silent for the remainder of the walk, denying the urge to prod further into just who Salerin was only because he doubted the vampire would be nearly as open as he already had been in the presence of Chanel. His knees were almost fully healed, and the slight pain in each step was only a constant reminder of Chanel's ability. Even Joe's vampiric speed was nothing in comparison, and just as with Aemilius and more recently with Salerin, he had to wonder what else she had up her sleeve as well. Maybe underneath it all, she was just as 'demonic' as Aemilius. The same was true of Salerin. His thoughts after a few minutes of walking, replaced by the sudden realization of what had slowly been slipping back into his conscious--the sense of Joe, steadily growing with each step. The knowledge brought with it a tremendous amount of relief. For all he knew, maybe < 18:56:55 Scott_Masterson a sire did not instantly know when his fledgling had been killed...and that possibility had been nagging him for far too long, coupled with the suspicion that Chanel had simply lied. When they reached the mansion the sense of her was just as strong as ever, not weak as though she was hurt or close to death. He could even sense ehr hunger, just beyond those expensive doors on the bullding ahead. His eyes didn't leave the manor's windows, likely in some hope of catching a glimpse of his progeny, when Chanel spoke. He wasn't entirely sure anymore that Aemilius was the oldest vampire, but he spent no time debating it. He might as well have been, at least as far as Scott was concerned. He only nodded his understanding of the statement, pace quickening uninetionally with the nearby promise of Joe's presence until he was beside Salerin, and tapping his fingers against < 18:57:05 Scott_Masterson each thigh in subconscious anticipation. Just as before, Salerin seemed to have no doubts about his own safety...and that was almost as reassuring as Joe's recently detected presence. It was possible the vampire simply had too high a view of his own ablities, but something in those eyes he had briefly studied, and the way the man spoke with conviction, caused him to doubt it. He waited for Chanel to move again and followed eagerly to the door. <E. 19:07:38 Chanel was hungry and she could feel the hunger from the other vampires. At last minute, instead of leading them to the study, she veered off towards the parlor, and led them into a graciously appointed room. She half turned towards them. "You can take your refreshments here. Relax if you will. There are goblets in the cupboard, and Elixer down in the cabinet below.." Elixer was another name for blood drink. She simply hadnt another word for it. She paused to say something else, and then shut her mouth, turning to leave the parlor. As she did, she paused, noticing a presence on the couch. Why hadn't she noticed her before? She moved over to the couch, her eyes shifting over Joe's form. She was alive, and she was well. After a moment she wondered just what Aemlius's game is. Telling her he wanted her dead, and then not killing her himself. She let out a breath. "You have visitors." She said simply, possibly disturbing the young fledgelings reverie. She swept past her and made her way to the cabinet, fetching a goble 19:07:59 [Chanel] goblet for herself. She didn't hesitate in serving herself a drink, stoppering the old fashioned bottle and setting it down a little louder than she could've. She half turned towards them, watching impassively as she raised the goblet to her lips and took a drink. 19:13:11 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] The male shifted his gaze, instantly taking in all of his surroundings. He paused momentarily and walked across the room to retrieve a goblet, which he filled with what Chanel had called ‘Elixir’ which by the smell of her goblet, was her way of saying blood. He lifted the goblet, instantly sensing the goblet and the blood, making sure it had no toxins or anything that would act as a drug against him. He smiled softly and took a slow, steady drink of the blood. Feeling it refresh his body as it took in the nourishment. His dark gaze turned as it fixed on the female, the fledgling that Aemilius had taken from Scott. He knew that instantly, though he did not yet know her name. He didn’t really need to know her name, but he wanted to anyways. He turned his head to Scott. “Scott… Your fledgling, what is her name?” He turned his gaze back to the female as he finished his goblet of blood and set it down silently. He walked to take a seat in a chair across from Joe, where he imagined Scott would sit next to her. 19:16:11 Xelie 's interest was piqued, at the taste in difference of the thoughts from the mere humans, instead this one had a thrilling, sweet yet clyingly cold taste. That simply attracted her attention, standing from her seat she quickly yet still gracefully strode down the staircase of the second floor, heading out of Le Romantica, and following the trail where this thought was heading towards. Picking up a sense of mischief lurking about in this one's mind. Her attention was focused only on this being. A Psychic vampire just like herself, a first for her to meet someone of her own vampiric type, usually it would just be the Draco vampires she meets often. Not stopping to look around, but of course she knew that during this time of not, there wouldn't be anyone around to see her. But taking precautions, she headed towards a dark alleyway, her boots so gracefully placed one before the other upon the concrete road that it didn't even make so much as a soft click as it touched the concrete road. Perhaps, due to the(c) 19:16:15 Xelie incredible pace she had put herself in, leaping up onto rooftops, and speeding off towards the location of this other psychic vampire. A smirk upon her perfectly beautiful facade. After a few minutes of just leaping and speeding and running, she stops abruptly at the side of a manor. Stopping a few yards away, keeping her distance. Her silvery-white optics gazing around. Her mind picking up.. four.. seperate minds. Each tasting differently, one was recognizable, but faint. Someone she has met from Le Romantica was here.. Salee-.. Salerin was it..? Picking at his thoughts for a bit, sensing his hunger.. a smirk upon her features.(e) 19:21:12 [`Abigail] Walking slowly around the house, Abigail began to let her mind wander, searching outward through the city as she continued to conduct along to the song playing in her head, occasionally moving through a few ballet poses before continuing on, scoping the place out. She was considering climbing to the roof and entering that way, but she wanted to be sure that there was no better way first. And then her mind focused on something, a single point, another such as herself. "Interesting." She said under her breath as she turned toward the direction that Xelie was in, moving around the house toward her. "Well, this is different." Abigail said as she looked Xelie over, a small smile passing over her face. "I was beginning to think that I was the only one in Paris, or even all of France for that matter." She walked slowly, leading with her toes until she came within a foot of the other, looking her over, sizing her up. "You here to feed on the elders as well, or did you just want to come and see?" There was something-- 19:21:32 [`Abigail] about Abi that seemed that she was a boarderline smart ass, but she was holding her tongue for the moment, not wanting to rub Xelie the wrong way, not when she had only just met her. 19:24:32 Scott_Masterson followed inside behind Chanel, studying the expensive interior only briefly before he was lead to an even more extravagant parlor. The buzzing sense in the front of consciousness erased all doubt before his eyes even settled on Joe, sittin gon a couch and looking just as healthy as she had back in the alley, aside from the evident hunger. He cast a glare to the back of Chanel's head and quickly approached the couch, a rare and genuine smile gracing is expression as he sat beside her. The last time he had seen her, she had worn three deep scratches on her cheek compliments of his own claws when Chanel had avoided the attack, and seeing them gone entirely was relieving. he had spent too long wondering if the wounded Joe would be his last mental image of her, for as long as he lived. One hand settled on her thigh as another brushed her cheek lightly and he kissed her quickly on the lips. His eyes showed his regret even before he spoke a simple " I'm sorry." to her, presuming the < 19:24:35 Scott_Masterson meaning of the apology was evident. None of this would have taken place if he had simply met the elder Chanel's request and kneeled to Aemilius, regardless of how ridiculous he had found the claim to be. He was about to ask a simple 'are you alright?' when Salerin spoke. Scott's eyes jumped to the new ally with a lingering smile before they went back to Joe. " Ask her yourself..." The words were spoken in an obvious relief that she was unharmed, not some disrespect to Salerin. After a moment and whatever initial response Joe gave to him, he moved to pour one of the crystal glasses full of 'elixir'--and only after Salerin himself seemed to deem the liquid safe for consumption. He moved back to the couch and sat beside Joe again, holding the glass to her. " He's Salerin. He's a friend." Now all he wanted to do was stand and leave with Joe, and never look back. Maybe even leave France altogether and, if they were lucky, escape the < 19:24:41 Scott_Masterson elders entirely. Their wealth of power did not necessarily mean that they could track him across the planet, though it also did not seem inconceivable. 19:35:57 Xelie 's sharp silvery white oculars caught the movement of one being coming towards her. In her mind she pulled gently at the mind of this one, testing whether it was a threat or not from just a simple distance, with a sweep of her gaze, she knew at once that it was no threat. Thus, did not prepare herself or guarded herself in any way. Just standing there, but due to her being a model it came so naturally that it seemed that she was a part of the scenery around the manor. Her dark locks swaying gracefully along with a smooth zephyr dancing about in the vicinity. Her eyes glancing at the one before her, a female. Beautiful as expected, a blissful feeling within her for she had found what she was tracking for, another person of her kind. Yes, like her, with intellectual abilities higher or lower. Listening to her speak, with such diction and articulation, made her even more happier. A brilliant individual it seemed. Though her mind was giving a more edgy view, thus, the show of display as of now was that of(c) 19:36:02 Xelie being polite. A gentle smmile offered towards the female, dazzling yet smoldering with the power hiding just around the borders of dazzling. "Well now you know.. that you're not the only one.." She'd say with a tone that was friendly yet alluring that surely attracted attention. Her gaze once more calculating and observing, as she surveyed this female before her, beautifully so, that she'd make the cherubs look like gargoyles... "I came because of you.. Your mind was quite appealing.. But yes, I too am curious of the people in this vicinity."</b> She'd say smoothly, her eyes then turning to look at the manor. Wondering how they would get inside, without causing any harm to the structure of the manor. 19:36:28 [`Joe] She'd grown tired of waiting. Sitting alone in that all too empty house. She found herself switching positions on the couch more times then she could count before she finally ended up in a half sitting position, eyes staring blankly at the wall. She wasnt sure if it was that she had heard them first, or sensed them as they approached, but she knew that Chanel had arrived with Scott and a third person she couldnt place. She sat up completely then, but was unable to will her legs to move to greet them at the door. Instead she stayed placed on the couch and waited for them to come to her. Chanel was the first, and her eyes tracked the woman as she moved to her side. Yes, she was very much alive in atleast a small amount of the meaning. She was atleast well. Aemilius had simply left her to her own accord to retreat for the evening. The next was Salerin, a face she did not recongise. It was him she'd watched the most. She wasnt akin to new people. Ones she didnt know. As he moved to grab himself a goblet of--- 19:36:41 [`Joe] blood, she watched him still, listening to him speak. "Joe." she offered him before Scott even had a chance to answer. She sensed the power in him and pegged him for an elder as well. It seemed that France was just full of them. Finally, her attention moved to Scott and the joy of him being there shone in her eyes. As he sat and placed a kiss upon her lips, she returned it before leaning into him. Breathing in his scent. What was only a couple of hours to her felt like an enternity. "Nothing to be sorry for." she returned, burying her face into his neck. "I'm just happy to see you alive and well." After a long moment of just holding him, she turned to Chanel. "Aemilius has retired for the evening. He has told me what he wants." She conveyed to them what Aemilius wanted before snuggling into Scott once more. 19:51:39 [`Abigail] Sensing Xelie pulling lightly on herself, she pulled slightly as well, sampling and tasting but in a soft manner, almost like a handshake or a pat on the shoulder. The two of them made quite a pair, standing in the light of the moon together. Her smile pulled wider but remained contained as she kept her emotions in check. "And that is a comforting thought indeed, it is nice to have a conformation that there are others." Abigail reached out slowly, running a hand through the air a few inches away from the others form before dropping the hand to her side. "Appealing, I am sure mine is but a candle to the brightness of yours. You seem....so much wiser, so much more." Such a young one this was, she did not realize the light that she held or the power that she was capable of such that seeing another brought a sense of awe in her, which was shown in her wide grey eyes as they looked her over once more, her dark hair standing out against her pale skin and her white dress. "My name is Abigail Davin." Looking upward-- 19:51:53 [`Abigail] she pointed to a window. "Perhaps a suitable entry point, I considered a basement, but it seems that one would more likely to be unnoticed the higher one goes, so long as she does not leap without first looking." 19:56:54 Scott_Masterson had been unsure of what Joe's reaction might be, part of him expecting her to resent him--though, just as after changing her, there was no sign of anger in her or her words. Unknown to him at the moment, there was a great deal to be sorry for. Gina's life had already been requested as compensation for this whole debacle, a price far too high for the simple act of refusing to kneel on command. He had already imagined finding Joe broken and perhaps severly beaten or even tortured, especially now that he knew what dwelt within Aemilius. The sight of her was a constant relief. Some part of him had already forgotten just how striking his fledgling was, and he couldn't look away from her for a long moment as he studied those blue eyes of hers and listened to the information she conveyed in that too-perfect voice. The guilt was immediately < 19:56:57 Scott_Masterson evident on his own expression when he heard about the deal that had been struck, and the fate that Gina would face. Again he found himself wondering if a fledgling was simply unable to despise their sire due to some unknown side effect of the connection, though it seemed far-fetched. When she relayed the 'title' that Aemilius had chosen to give him, he was confused for only a short moment before it seemed to make perfect sense. It wasn't a reward at all...it was a death sentence. He, as a fledgling, was expected to police vampires far beyond his age? The end result seemed obvious, and it dampened his recently acquired good mood slightly--though he didn't make the realization obvious to Joe. She had undoubtedly been just as worried as he had. He glanced to Chanel, who was simply sipping the drink and momentarily silent, before looking back to Joe and speaking. 19:57:06 Scott_Masterson " Then there's no reason for us to stay here. Let's go." He stood slowly, realizing his knees were now completely healed, and holding Joe's hand as he gestured for her to do the same. Another glance fell on Chanel and he spoke in a voice almost cmpletely free of the hatred it had veiled previously. " I'm sure you'll both know where to find us if you want." His mind was already racing to form a plan, and the best he could come up with at the moment was that the three of them--Joe, Gina, and he--could scrape some money together and take a night flight back to the U.S, or even some other country. He had no intention of staying here and serving Aemilius until he was killed, and the ancient took Joe again in his absence--but none of the plans were indicated in his expression. " Tell Aemilius...thank you." he spoke again to Chanel's back < 19:57:13 Scott_Masterson and unless Joe or ehr stopped him, headed for the door. 20:05:15 Xelie 's will allowed the pull, sensing it the moment her mind touched hers. She smiled, not at all minding the contact. staring at the manor for a bit, still devising thoughts in her head wondering whether it would be worth breaking into a manor just to sample from the occupants minds when they could just do so from a far. Or at least she can, she doesn't really know her potential and what level she is at. Not saying that she was any better as well. "I believe our brightness shines in equal levels." She'd say as she looked to the female standing just a few meters away. "Ah.. Nice to meet you Abigail, I am elie Pertivierre.." She'd say, not knowing whether Abigail has heard of what she does for a living, not that it mattered if she does, perhaps she can start mmodelling herself. Her beauty is unique and equally as stunning as herself. Her mind wondering off for a moment till she spoke to her again. (c) 20:05:23 Xelie "The window..? Hmm.. interesting choice.. But I'm not sure I want to go inside to face them, I'd rather feed from afar..But if you still wish to continue, I will accompany you if you wish me to.." She offered, her gaze trailing off towards the manor. The four minds that she had sensed earlier, drifted to. two seperate minds. The other simply vanished, and the other was unreachable due to.. who knows what? (e) 20:05:36 [Xelie] Xelie* 20:05:48 Xelie [I screwed up my own name. Lol.. xD] |

20:30:42 Chanel watched them impassively from the window, her hands clasped behind her back as she watched them go. Her thoughts lingered towards them as she watched the two disappear into the darkness. She knew they would be back. When they were out of sight, she half turned away, disappearing from the window. She took a glance around her prison, and felt the sense of walls closing in. She closed her eyes briefly, and let her breath out slowly before taking a seat on the couch that Joe had vacated just recently. "What is it about you two..?" She murmered to herself. Clover, she knew was a barb to get her going. She refused to be upset by it. Suddenly, she found herself missing Charlie, almost like a physical pain in her chest. She slumped back against the end of the couch, and let her unneeded breath out slowly, relaxing her muscles as she did. She lowered her head, running her fingers through her hair. Perhaps a visit to Le Romantica would do her good. She had neglected her place of business, but the people there knew 20:30:55 [Chanel] her moods, knew her infrequency almost as she knew her hand. She smiled, at the look of disbelief and horror on Charlie's face. He thought himself free, but she knew that once she had enthralled him, she could just crook her finger and he would come. The year and day was not up yet. Man, this post is lame. Enter. 20:35:01 [`Joe] The other vampires presense was almost ignored as her eyes held fast to the man beside her. Hell, she didnt even watch where she was going, having full and utter faith that he wouldnt steer her wrong. After a very long while of just staring, she decided to look away, not wanting him to feel like she was getting werid on him or anything. The simple fact was, that she was amazed that he was still alive. That Chanel hadnt ended him when she went back to retrieve him for Aemilius. It was just purely amazing to her. As they walked, her thoughts, as much as she wanted them to stay on him, kept going back to Gina. The green haired girl didnt deserve that fate that was being handed her by a person that had claimed to love her. She didnt do anything to warrent the death she was most likely going to receive. When Scott spoke, she only nodded, the hunger pains twisiting in her stomache only reminding her that what he said was true. She needed to feed. But something in her didnt want it. All she wanted to do was go --- 20:35:05 [`Joe] back somewhere, not the apartment, and just lay low for awhile. Spend time with him. She nodded as she slid into the back of the cab, sitting as close to him as was possible. She didnt speak, not for a long while. But when she finally did, only four words escaped her lips: "I love you too." She wasnt sure when it had actually dawned on her that he had spoken those words not but a few hours ago, but she found herself feeling the same. Maybe even more so then she thought possible. Leaning into him, she rested her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes and letting him take her where ever it was he wanted to go. 20:42:57 [`Abigail] Clasping her hands behind her back, she closed her eyes and took one last taste of those inside and walking out, still being careful of how she did it. "Though the energies of these ones are far sweeter than any I have tasted, it is like a caramel that can only be sampled but never fully consumed. I am finished with this household for the time being, yes." Stretching up onto her toes and pulling her hands up over her head, she gave a light sigh before slowly moving back down onto the flats of her feet. "Hm?" Abi glanced over toward the cell phone. She'd never really caught on to those contraptions, though she had no need for them, noone whom she needed to contact that she could not simply leap through their window and see them face to face. Impersonality was very much a turn off for the girl. A photo shoot? What sort of occupation was this woman in, modeling perhaps? Or maybe a musician, Abigail could picture her rocking out to an audience and suddenly with that image her eyes went wide. The perfect-- 20:43:13 [`Abigail] occupation for one such as themselves. With all of the energy filling such large spaces, one could feed to gluttony and never have a single person suspect. "I would love to, and you know, I've just had perhaps one of my best ideas yet." She paused for a moment before starting to walk. "Have you ever played an instrument?" 20:48:47 Scott_Masterson struggled for a long, silent moment when the bearded cab driver asked with a heavy french accent what their destination was. He did not want to go back to the apartment, both because of Joe's obvious hunger and even moreso because it beonged to Chanel and would be the first place either elder sought them out. Glancing to the digital clock on the dashboard, there was also not nearly enough time left in the night to gather Gina, get to an airport, and make an intercontinental flight before daylight broke. He answered without much thought into the matter, saying simply "Le Romantica". Despite the fact that Chanel owned the place, it was obvious that she was not there--at least not at the moment. He was also, at least in some relative way, certain that there was no immediate danger to either of them. As far as Aemilius knew, he presumed, the plans to leave the country were unknown, and him and Joe had as much freedom as they ever had at the moment. 20:48:50 Scott_Masterson Perhaps even more, given his recently acquired 'title', death sentence or not. at the very least, the destination would give them time to think, and be together. He was silent for the short ride, hating the time on that clock and only hoping the next night would prove sufficient for a hastily planned escape. The cab eventually pulled into the alley beside the club, rather than parking in front of it as the driver intially wanted to, and Scott gave a simple glance to Joe that made it clear she could feed on the man if she wanted, and if not there was plenty of blood on tap upstairs. He pulled the stolen wallet from his pocket and flipped through bills while she decided and the cabbie waited to be compensated. 20:53:11 Thomas_Raith Would finally decide to awaken from his daily slumber which didn't help much at the moment though he was getting his work finished. He looked over at his Blackberry sighing at the time. He yawned as he rose slowly still slightly drowsy. He checkd his chest were the bloody hunter took holy water to him about a week or so ago and he sighed as the faint scar was finally fading. This was one of the problems with not feeding for extended periods of time. He went to his closet picking out a black and white pinstriped shirt with a blue eagle styled decal on the top right shouder and he got out a pair of faded torn blue jeans and slipped into his clothing, next he decided to Grab his Gibson Sg and his travel amp.He just walked inside the elevator and pressed the button to the ground floor. HE got alot of odd lookes as he headed out of the front doors of the hotel carrying a guitar case and a smaller amp. He walked out towards a nearby corner near a photostudio and his main place of work. He set the guitar case >> 20:56:32 Thomas_Raith down on the sidewalkj as he got out the guitar and he smirked and then puleld out the hookup as he plugged it into the amp then the guitar. He set the guitar against the wall as he plugged in the Guitar. He moved back to his guitar and amp. He took up his guitar and he began to tune it out. Once he was finished with the tuning he began to do the FurElise on his guitar letting it ring out through the streets as some nightwalekrs past by less looking at the guitar but more looking at Thomas with the expression of Yum on their faces. This was the Annoying part of being a vampire to him, His thirst and the looked people give him. 20:58:45 [`Joe] The cab ride was relitively silent, even if she wanted to protest going to the club. She couldnt find the words however, and simply sat back for the ride and tried to relax as good as she could. She knew that the club was an untapped sorce of blood. Blood she didnt have to waste energy trying to hunt for. And with as much time as they had before the sun rose, it was thier best bet. As the cab drove them to the side alley instead the front of the club, she looked between Scott and the cabbie. It looked as though she wasnt going to have to 'hunt' at all. Rather her dinner was being provided for her. In a movement that could only be described as inhuman, she climbed over the seat with lithe movements and had her fangs buried into the mans neck before the slightest protest could be uttered. The taste, the feeling of the blood was euphoric, causing something to stir in her. She moved then, teeth still clenched into the mans jugular, and strattled his lap, gripping his shoulders for better leverage. ---- 20:58:49 [`Joe] It wasnt long before she had almost completely drained him, the man's heartbeat all but a silent drum in her ears. It was then she withdrew her fangs, licking over the wound once to clear away any left over blood. Sitting up, she drew her hand over her chin and cleared away the small amount of mess she had caused before climbing back into the back in the same manor she had to the front. Inhumanly. Her skin now had a fresh glow to it, her eyes, red, seemed ten times brighter then they had been before they left the manor. "We can go." she said softly, waiting for him to exit the cab. 21:15:23 Scott_Masterson had sensed the hesitance in Joe upon hearing the destination, though there was nothing psychic about it. Simple intuition made it obvious, and when she chose to feed on the driver rather than the elegantly served blood in the VIP room of the club, it only made the assertion clearer. He watched her moce over the seat--at least as much as he could when she used her speed gift--and lit the last unbroken cigarette from his crumpled pack as she fed, just watching that gorgeous creature displaying her 'monstrous' side. The scent of blood filled the cab quickly, and even in his well-fed condition the smell made him want more, and awakened that endless pit of hunger inside of him. He denied the urge to join her, only because he knew just how hungry she was at the moment, and watched in silence until it was done. When she reappeared beside him he couldn't help but smile again, a large part of him still < 21:15:25 Scott_Masterson amazed that she was alive at all--as well as himself, for that matter. He leaned over the front seat himself and slid the keys in the ignition back, turning the car off and along with it the headlights and illuminated 'Taxi' sign. He pulled open the door and stepped out into the alley, trying again to think of a more suitable destination and failing. He held a hand to help her out of the cab, more out of want to do it than necessity, and pulled her into a long kiss--partly because of the obvious instinct to do so and partly just to taste that blood lingering on her tongue. It lasted longer than he had planned, and by the time it did he had leaned her back against the cab with the embrace. He pulled away only slightly when it was done, staring into those eyes that mirrored his own in color aside from a refreshed redness in Joe's. " Fuck the club. You want to just walk around for a while? Few hours left in the night. Maybe we could go find Gina?" < 21:15:32 Scott_Masterson he seemed to hesitate, unsure how friendly the ex-friend of a hunter would be in greeting them. He was silent for only a short moment before speaking again, seemingly prompted to do so by her eyes and nothing else... " I thought you were dead. And I felt my 'life' begin to tear apart. You have no idea what you've become to me, Joe." His eyes lingered only shortly before he smiled again and moved away slowly, pulling her along by a hand as he moved towards the street. 21:28:15 [`Joe] She was refeshed to say the least. The fresh meal doing something to revitilize her energy. She took the offered hand from Scott and stepped out of the cab. Imediatly finding herself pressed against the car it's and his lips hot and hungry against hers. She kissed him back with as much fire as he had, her tongue meeting his. Her arms moved to wrap around his neck as she pressed herself against him. When it was over, she felt herself semi light headed and a smile tweaking across her lips. She nodded to the club idea, she really didnt want to go in there anyways. Anything associated with Chanel she wanted to stay as far away from as possible. "A walk sounds good." She moved down the street with him, fingers entertwined with his, shoulders brushing. She was silent for a long moment as she mulled over what he had said. "No. We'll leave Gina for now. She doesnt need this." She only wanted to protect her freind for as long as she could, even it was only for one more night.==== 21:28:19 [`Joe] There was no need to bring this to her right now. Another long pause ensued from her before she stopped and looked at him with blue eyes now, the red completely gone. "I thought the same. I thought that when they took me there, it was all over for me. And I was more afraid about what that would do to you then to me. We need to get out of here. As far away as possible. I have some money saved up." She didnt care where they went, as long as they left Paris.... France. The whole fucking country behind. "I don't care where we go." Once more, she began to walk, her eyes looking around as she did so. 21:45:31 Scott_Masterson was silently relieved when Joe denied the option of seeking out Gina, only because no part of him wanted to deal with a hunter right now, if that was indeed what Gina was. He could only presume so, given Joe's strict lifestyle as a human. He doubted that amount of training left much time for friends outside the 'club'. they moved onto the sidewalk and passed hand-in-hand past the moderate lineup of goth kids, vampire wannabe's, and the occasional 'normal' person waiting for admission to Le Romantica, even at this late hour. The traffic on the streets had thinned considerably in comparison to earlier in the night, but the streets were just as occupied with lingering nightlife revelers. He nodded in agreement, to everything she said. " I agree. Despite...their power, I doubt they could find us if we get far enough away. Of course...we'd have to spend the rest of our lives in fear that we might cross their paths again." He had not even reached the realization before he spoke the words. 21:45:34 Scott_Masterson Just how 'free' would escape make them, when every moment was shadowed by that fear and the lingering image of Aemilius' demonic form, knowing they had sleighted him and shown more disrespect than they had in they alley? Even despite the realization however, it would be a far better existence than staying and living with relatively the same fear just down the street. Also, though he would not admit it to Joe, the thought of becoming Aemilius' 'enforcer' scared him an incredible amount, for the obvious reasons. He had no intention of losing this life, and certainly wasn't going to do it by choice. " Fuck it. Staying would be a worse fate anyway. I'll make some calls tonight and reserve some plane tickets." He had to grin as he glanced to her again, feeling somewhat like a teenaged couple conspiring to elope against their parent's will--though they were in a far more dire position, obviously. " Where do you want to go? Any place you've always wanted to visit?" < 21:45:40 Scott_Masterson He was already imagining them walking the dark streets of some caribbean island, hunting by beachside far from the french accents that were beginning to annoy him more than usual. But it didn't matter...as long as Joe was there, he could handle being in Antarctica as well. 21:57:29 [`Joe] She didnt care. As long as they were as far away from the two as they could get. There were some places even the smartest of vampires wouldnt think to look. She listened to him speak for a moment before nodding. "You do that, and I'll prepare Gina to be ready to leave." It would change the young girls life forever. Not only running from elder vampires, but the hunter's guild would be hunting them as well. Taking a hunter from them like this was far beyond a slap in the face and was sure to cause some retaliation in return. They just had to go somewhere out of the hunter's reach. Change Gina's name. So whatever they needed to do to make sure the trio of them were safe. "Ireland." she found herself saying without even thinking. Sure, it was a place with annoying accents, but atleast they were understandable and it was the last place anyone would think to look. The hunter's guild didnt reach there, vampires being very few and far between there. --------- 21:57:32 [`Joe] "It's the only place I can think of that nither side could get us. And there is plenty of food sorce there. What do you think?" Looking over to him, she ignored the scattered humans, the need to feed ebbed with the cab driver meal. Even if he didnt agree, she knew there were plenty of places to go and where ever he thought was best, she'd go. "We'd be safe." she said once more, looking up into his eyes. 22:12:44 Scott_Masterson pulled his eyes away from Joe to study the lit-up image of the Eiffel tower once more, hanging in the distance against a starry sky and looking perhaps more impressive than the first time he had seen it. He had to smile upon remembering how they had stood near the top, wind whipping their hair wildly, kissed, and then jumped. That memory would linger for centuries, he was sure of it. As long as they could both stay alive long enough to reminisce. He let his gaze drift back to the sidewalk ahead, and then back to her as she responded, and there was an undeniable sense of relief that this plan was coming together nicely. What had seemed an unescapable trap was actually destroyed entirely by a phone call and a long plane ride. He could only assume that Joe knew Gina well enough to trust the girl with the plans, and that they wouldn't be overrun by a gang of hunters when they went to pick her up. 22:12:52 Scott_Masterson Joe spoke again and he instantly smiled at the thought. "Ireland." he spoke in a voice that left no doubt that he accepted--and even looked forward to--the destination, even before she elaborated. " I think it's brilliant. Always wanted to visit there myself." His grip on her hand tightened slightly, a small show of affection and renewed wonderment that they were both still alive. " Back in the States, and Canada, I never even met an ancient before Aemilius. A few old ones, but no elders or ancients. So I don't imagine Ireland will have many either." He was only thinking out loud, and Joe's human background left little doubt that she knew exactly what she was talking about, in respect to both groups that could potentially seek to pursue them. " I love it. By this time tomorrow...we'll be there." Saying the words caused another small wave of relief < 22:13:01 Scott_Masterson to pass over him. They would never return to that apartment building, leaving one room with an incredibly bloodied carpet and another containing a days-old corpse for Chanel to deal with. The idea made him grin. They began to walk over a small bridge, the bricks looking as old as Aemilius and a testament to the country's past. He stopped, guiding her stand beside him before he slipped behind her, each arm slipping beneath hers and locking around her waist before he kissed her neck once and looked out at the image of the half-full moon reflected in the water's surface below. For the moment he was silent, only amazed at the seemingly constant shift in his own fate. 22:25:16 [`Joe] Ireland. The land with rolling hills of green and fences made of stone. It was a good place. A place that she had dreamed of seeing one day. And now that day would be tomarrow evening. She could hardly believe it. Gina would get a thrill out of it, even if the sadness of leaving her school behind weighed heavily upon her. She would know that it was for her, and thier safty. Joe knew she would agree. Walking with him, she smiled at the feel of the reassuring hand. "Everything will be great. Safe." They'd be able to live a life without as much fear as they would here. That made it all worth while. That and being with Scott. As they walked over the bridge, she moved with him, pressing her back to her chest and leaning her head on his shoulder, her eyes looking up to that cresent moon. "I think I might miss it here." Only because this was where she had spent most of her life. Where she had learned all there was to learn and became what she had been. It was where everything happened for her. ---- 22:25:19 [`Joe] This place had brought her to Scott. For that reason alone, she would miss it most of all. "There's no Eifle tower in Ireland, you know. That actually have cliffs to do that off of. We'll have to give it a try." There, she knew, if something were to go wrong, the worst that could happen was getting wet. No buildings or hard walls. No broken bones. "We'll be alright. Right?" She tilted her head then, looking up at him from the corner of her eyes. 22:43:10 Scott_Masterson let his cheek brush against Joe's as she laid her head back, momentarily and instinctively casting an unseen glance down the front of that dress she wore before he forced his eyes back up to the moon, studying it in more detail than any naked human eye ever could. He had to feel only a slight amount of guilt when she mentioned missing France. If it weren't for him, and a spontaneous trip to the country, her life would be the same--though the thought quickly lessened upon realizing just what that meant. She had been a hunter in a town full of elders and at least one ancient. A suicide existence, if ever there was one, even despite how impressive the human Joe's abilities had been. This, along with the feeling of that perfect skin against his own, reassured him that there was nothing to feel guilty about. Staying meant a long lifetime of servitude, if he wasn't killed in his first days as a 'Hound'. 22:43:13 Scott_Masterson He had to wonder if, when enough time had passed, maybe Aemilius would simply forget about them, or at the very least lose any rage he would have at being slighted, as they now planned to do. He instantly believed the words she had spoken. Everything would be great, and with a level of safety he had come to believe he would never have again. She spoke again and the thought brought another smile to his face, at the imagined sight of them repeating the stunt from a cliff, only to land in water and sink, walking on the ocean floor for as long as they liked in the absence of a need to breathe. " We'll be fine. Perfect even." He lowered his eyes to hers when she shifted slightly, giving a reassuring smile before kissing her lightly on the forehead and looking back to the water. The truth was, he couldn't be sure, and she must have known that on some level. 22:43:22 Scott_Masterson Until they were stepping off a plane in Ireland, anything was possible--and even then there were no guarantees. But he denied the pessimism and only let the smile linger on his face as long as she was still watching. He let a long silence pass, simply enjoying everything about the moment. The scenery, the promise of freedom in the near future, and that perfect creature in his arms who looked at him with as much affection as he felt for her. 22:55:47 [`Joe] His words reassured her. As much as anything at this moment could. And she felt safe. That was all that mattered. No matter what happened, she had to believe that everything would work out for the best. That everything would go as planned. Moving her eyes back to the water, she watched thier reflection in it for a long while. They were so different. In looks. In attitudes. They were like polar oppisites. It amazed her how much and how quickly they had attracted. Smiling at the thought, she looked back at him before turning in his arm and wrapping her arms around his neck. "We should go inside before the sun rises." She had just the place for them to go. Somewhere where no one would even think to look. A place that even if they were found, there was enough supplies there to take out a vampire army. Before she led them, however, she tipped to her toes and pressed her lips against his, parting her own and seeking out with her tongue to explore his mouth. She wanted this. --- 22:55:50 [`Joe] This one last kiss under the Paris sky with the Eifle tower and the moon behind them. After a long moment, she pulled away from him, traced her thumb over his bottum lip, and smiled. "I love you." Once she said those word, she untwinded herself from him and led him to the apartment she held away from anyone who'd ever knew her. |
