16:07:19 Chanel moved forward and inbetween, the mortals barely detecting her passage. She was wearing black silk, the dress fitting like a glove and flaring at her hips, a slit running up one thigh as she moved, the fabric swaying with her. Her hair was piled into a coif, secured with golden chopsticks, and she wore earrings of jade. It was a good color on her, and she reveled in it. She tilted her head, her eyes moving along the sight of a mortal, and she smiled. He smiled back. She crooked her finger, and turned towards the alleyway, her hips swaying as stilletos tapped upon the concrete. The man eagerly followed. She turned half towards him in the darkness of the alley, and he slammed her body against the wall. "Like it rough don't you..?" She chuckled, and let him touch her for a moment, and then her hand snaked up, fingers curling into the back of his head as she wrenched his head ot the side. "Oh, I''m pretty sure I do.." She murmered, her french accent strong. And then her mouth opened, her pearlescent teeth 16:07:28 [Chanel] brushing up against his vulnerable neck. She growled, her arm moving around him in a crushing embrace, his ribs cracking under the weight. He protested, and hands beat against her as he tried to get away, but she had her prey. She would not let go. She growled, and sank her teeth into his jugular, feeling the splash of red as she drank, draining his life. 16:10:19 [`Joe] began walking again at his insistance, no matter how much she wanted to go in the other direction. The other direction felt safer. More secure. But she went anyways, pressing into him as much as she could. She wasnt sure how she felt about running into an elder when she didnt know which one it was. It could have been any of those they had met, or could have been another that they had yet to cross paths with before. That thought alone had her wanting to stop and drag him back the other direction. Aemilius, Chanel, or Eris would have been more welcomed to her then another she didnt know. Another that could pose a threat that she didnt want to face. Yet, she continued on her way with him. Even as her mind went into the process of thinking of all the bad things that could happen. She'd missed the stare from the human man, to obsessed with her own thoughts to even care. She hadnt even noticed the looks when she was human. Now that she wasnt, those stares that Scott seemed to notice went ingnored and --- 16:10:23 [`Joe] completely un-noticed. As he posed his question, she thought about it for a moment. Holy water did work. It was something she'd seen over and over again. But she also knew that it worked only when the person using it had a complete and utter faith to the lord. "I.... I'm not so sure anymore." If there had been a god, surely he wouldnt have created the monsters that they were or could be. Surely he would have rid the world of vampires before they'd even populated the world. "I guess there could be. But I don't know." She shrugged, looking up at him. "Thats something I guess we'll never find out. Seeing as if there is, we are going straight to hell anyways." 16:31:29 Scott_Masterson continued studying people on the opposite side side of the street as they walked, listening to Joe's response with interest and wondering if she simply didn't see the looks casted her way, or had learned to ignore them. Her answer did not shed any new light on the problem, though he had not expected it to. It seemed almost a given...unless a 'God' existed, then holy water was exactly the same as the regular kind, and he knew that that variety had no effect on him, not to mention the burning-from-the-inside-out feeling that the broken vial had released. His mind struggled to find some other, more reasonable explanation, but there was none to be found. Her answer had made it clear that she had once believed there was a god, and that that faith had dwindled considerably, and he found that odd. That the holy water had done it's job should have been a reason to galvanize her faith, yet it hadn't. Or maybe it had been the change that caused her to rethink her faith. He decided that must have been it, < 16:31:32 Scott_Masterson though he did not feel guilty in the slightest. If anything, the change had had the opposite effect on him--opening his once-closed eyes to possibilities that had seemed impossible all of his life, though not to the point that he now believed in 'God' and the devil. There could ahve been another explanation for the holy water's effectiveness, even if he couldn't imagine it. Maybe priests were actually practitioners of some form of 'magic'. It seemed far more logical than the alternative. His mind continued to wander, to the point that when he spotted another man looking at Joe he didn't even try to dissuade the behavior. That sense of an elder was also steadily coming to a boiling point, its strength now such that he began peering into alleyways as they passed, in anticipation of spotting a familiar--or even not-so-familiar--face. His eyes scanned the window of a bakery, looking over various intricately decorated cakes and < 16:31:38 Scott_Masterson pastries, and the few customers inside waiting in line to order their goods, and then the bakery ended and gave way to another alleyway and there was the familiar sight of what he knew instantly was a vampire in feeding. The darkness that cloaked the sight from passing human eyes did not have nearly the same effect on the vampiric variety. He came to a stop, gesturing for her to do the same as the sound of muffled bones cracking was emitted and he caught sight of a somewhat familiar face, Chanel. Feeding in the alley like a fledgling rather than the elder that she was. he ahd to respect that a little. Most of the ancients could have blood--literally--on tap if they had desired. He opened his mouth to ask Joe if they should stop and talk to the elder, before thinking better of it upon realizing the old vampiress would hear. <B>"Chanel."</B. he spoke to Joe quietly. 16:42:41 Aemilius Finished the last life in the building. It was easy for this monster to finish off entire families but tonight would go down in his books as the cruelest act he had committed since decapitating his last lovers head from her neck. His hand would relax and uncoil its self from around the young boy's neck, letting his small body thud lifelessly upon the wooden floor boards. The sound would be the only noise to stain the silence. It had been a few years since his hunger had fully been quenched, and tonight he felt godly. Once the hunger had been subdued he was able to think more clearly, remember things in clear detail. The vampire casually looked down at the dead youngster, the boy looked as if he fell asleep and dreamed peacefully. The corpse rested upon the floor so still can comfortable, and in a macabre act Aemilius would take the boys sheets from the bed that he was snatched from, and place them over the boy. -c- 16:43:13 Aemilius “Sleep well, for you shall never wake from your last embrace,” the monster spoke as he stroked the boys hair. Shifting his weight, he would stand up and begin to depart this, self created, tomb. He stepped over the many little bodies that seemed to be sleeping, and down the steps past the woman whom sat with her throat torn out. She still struggled for air, gasping with shocked eyes glaring at the monster in velvet clothing. She revealed in his beauty, and commanding presence even now as she died. She would mouth a few words, but would be unable to speak due to her voice box having been removed. Aemilius was shocked to see the woman sitting there holding her throat in a lame attempt to stay alive. Drawing his immortal attention to her, he knelt and tried to make out what she was mouthing? Her lips formed silent shapes of words, and soon it made sense “The children,” he spoke in a sarcastic tone. -c- 16:43:50 Aemilius “Don't worry, they sleep well tonight as you shall soon be,” while speaking to her his hands both animated themselves and reached out for her, comparable to an embrace. As his hands skimmed over her cheeks she became very still, almost accepting what was about to happen. Aemilius kissed her forehead, and she leaned into it. He could feel tears dotting his hands as they streamed down her cheeks and onto his, now warm, flesh. A sickening crack would end her life, as her view was now upon the wall her back rested on. Slowly removing his hands from her cooling skin, he would glare at the woman for a short moment. The abnormality of her head begin twisted all the way around seemed, to even him, to be to much. Reaching out, he would grasp the top of her head and spin it back into its normal position before shutting her eye closed with the tips of his fingers. Aemilius would take a very deep breath in, which was very human of him to do. -c- 16:44:09 Aemilius Reaching up with his right hand, he would tighten his tie before opening the door of the orphanage. Unlike a human whom had committed such a atrocity he wasn't remorseful. The creature acted as if he owned this building, simply opening the door widely and stepping out. Not a care in the world, he knew what he was, a mercy-less killer. Aemilius shut the door behind him and even locked it with the key he took from the female caretaker. As he walked away from the building, he would reach the side walk before stopping and turning around. He glared at the building with all its lights on, and smiled at the thought of what people may say in the morning? But his sadistic smile grew as he thought about those children he left alive, and what they would think when finding their friends hadn't woke in the morning. The smiled soon turned into a chuckle as the monster continued his walk, seeking trouble of some sort.-e- 16:48:50 Chanel felt the presence of two other vampires nearing, but she did not pause in her feeding. Instead she held the near-corpse to her, almost possessively so. The man had long ago stopped struggling, his weight deadening as his body limped lifelessly to the side. Her eyes glinted as she finally looked up, the silloutte of the other vampires shining like a beacon in the mouth of an alley. She raised her head, her teeth disappearing as she likced them clean for a moment, the body dropping lifelessly to her feet as she loosened her hold on it. "Scott, Joe." She said, her voice like silk. She shuddered, the blood coursing through her. It felt like ash next to the blood she had ingested from Nexxus, and yet..it nourished her. She hardly gave the dying corpse a glance, as she sidestepped out of its way, her body moving fluidly. She paused some feet before the mouth of the alley, judging their intentions in a single glance. She flickered her gaze to Joe the longest. Her unlikely enemy. They both seemed preoccupied, as if 16:48:59 [Chanel] trying to discover great truths. Truths she may or may not have been privy too. She slowly raised her hand, running it through her silken hair before dropping it to her side, studying the two. 16:52:34 [`Joe] Her thoughts almost mirrored his own. There were many things to condiser when thinking of God, she decide. Holy water was one of them. It's effect that it so commonly had on vampires was astounding in some ways. The fact that the user had to have undaunting faith for it to work, was a reason to believe the higher power was there. But if he did exist, he surely wouldnt have create such monstrosities as vampires would he of? That question had plagued her mind since he'd posed the question. And she couldnt seem to find the answers herself. The men who looked her way continued to go un-noticed and ignored as she walked with him in silence. She still felt the presence of the elder vampire, but her fear had ebbed to something non-existance. She simply didnt care anymore. Sure, they were elders. Something to be respected. But she wouldnt fear them. The threat to thier lives was apparently not something to fret about, and so she would. As Scott drew to a halt, she did as well, --- 16:52:52 [`Joe] looking in the direction he had been, spotting that familar form of a vampire feeding from its victim. When Scott mentioned who it was, she nodded, looking up to him for any sign of what they should do. She wasnt sure how this worked. How one vampire went about doing things with an elder vampire. But she decided that they should atleast stay and converse. As much as she blamed the woman for her change, she had to thank her. If it wasnt for her keeping her housed in the lavish apartment, she wouldnt be what she was today. And she loved every minute of being what she was. "Do we wait?" she questioned, her eyes still focused on the man at her side. Her question was answered before Scott had the chance to as the woman dropped her food and walked towards them. It wasnt until this exact moment she had realized what beauty the woman possessed. Her movements like liquid silk. Her voice like velvet. She almost forgot the heated temper she had towards the woman. A temper, she thought now, that was undeserving.-- 16:52:56 [`Joe] If the woman was anything to her, she was her savior. "Chanel." she replied with a slight tilt of her head as if she was addressing royalty. 17:01:09 Scott_Masterson kept a firm grip on Joe's hand as he watched the feeding taking place roughly thirty feet away, and then the sight of the body falling to the ground almost gracefully as the ancient released her grasp, spotted them, and approached. Despite knowing very well what Chanel was, he had never seen her feed before...and the sight was somehow unexpected, though it shouldn't have been. He heard Joe pose the question and was considering an answer when Chanel looked their way. It was clear at this point that continuing their walk and hoping the ancient hadn't noticed them was not an option, and the revelation was reinforced when they were each addressed promptly. He struggled to gauge the intentions behind the stare that Joe received, and as always could not. It might have been hate, or just a lingering gaze that just happened to be accompanied by the wild eyes of a recently fed vampire. 17:01:11 Scott_Masterson " Chanel... I've been hoping to cross paths with you again. I never got to apologize. For..." his voice trailed slightly and an unintentionla glance was given to Joe before his eyes returned to Chanel. " Well, you know." A slightly awkward silence passed before he spoke again... " I can't thank you enough for the accommodations either." He was suddenly very aware that even the expensive suit he wore was Chanel's posession, as well as the fact that he had never officially been absolved of any punishment, the matter simply hadn't been addressed. He spoke again, more out of a hope that the subject would be changed than anything else... " Haven't seen you around much. But it *is* a big city. Have you seen Aemilius recently?" Just as before, the claws wanted to come out almost of their own volition, not the result of necessity but rather possibility. 17:11:59 Aemilius Walked casually down the street with the thought of his prior acts still flirting with his smile. Soft whispers would ebb from his leather shoes as they stretched with each step the immortal needlessly took. Unlike most nights, Aemilius felt alive, warm, and wanting companions to share it with. Mechanically shutting his eyes, he would reach out with his senses and feel the others near him. Smirking a bit, the creature continued his walk. Entering a dark alleyway, he would continue striding into its darkness. Using his eldest of powers, he simply merged into the shadows. It was as if he stepped into a pool of black nothingness and slowly submerged him self until nothing was left. For the three vampires whom conversed with each other, they would feel his presence approaching. Stepping out from the shadows near them, he would ignore the laws gravity and physics. First the bottom of his black leather shoe would creep out from the shadow cast on the floor.-c- 17:12:21 Aemilius As it peeked its self out, the man would follow, being expelled slowly. He would be horizontal, but as he stepped out from the shadow his body would move into the vertical position as it should have been in. The movement would be elegant yet unnatural. The man before them straitened out his tie once more, “Ah, my two favorite children,” he said as his eyes graced Chanel and Scott. He purposely excluded Joe from his view, still having some animosity for the disrespect she had shown him before. All three would notice a difference about him, his motions were more human, even his skin held a inviting warmth to it as he smiled. Their instincts lied to them, telling them that this man was truly alive. Everything about him screamed life, from his scent, to the moistness that covered his lips. Extending his arm out to Chanel, he invited her to occupy the opened arm with her frame. If she did step close to him, he would wrap his arm around her and hold her close to him as if she were his lover. -c- 17:12:38 Aemilius If she didn't move in, he would glare at her with a dominate frown upon his face. Which would she do is the real question? 17:21:30 Chanel studied the way Joe's position changed. Almost every miniscule moment was studied, examined, dismissed. But her eyes were soon drawn to Scott when he spoke, his voice hesitant. She listened, her head cocked slightly as she regarded them both with unreadable gaze. She said nothing through his entire litany. Was she expected to? She didnt think so. "You have violated the laws of dominion, and cast your lot with the vampire witch.." She said, her eyes shifting for a moment to Joe. Then back again. "You have made your choice, and I can do nothing about that choice. I can not turn back time and wish it undone." She paused, as if to say more, when she felt the familiar tingling through her senses. She knew who approached, and so she kept her own counsel. She dipped her head in respect, and when he opened his arm to her, she moved to him and wrapped her arms around his frame, her nostrils flaring as she breathed in his scent. She looked more like a childe than the elder she was in his presence, her form both dimini 17:21:40 [Chanel] diminitive and graceful. She rubbed her cheek against his suit, before turning her gaze back to Scott. "I believe you have your answer.." She said as she leaned her body against his frame, raising a hand to move a lock of hair out of her eyes. She turned her head to look at Joe, to see what she thought about this. "Kneel before the Elder." She intoned, raising her chin for a moment. She would wait to see if they complied. After all, Aemilius had lived for a very, very long time. 17:28:16 [`Joe] She stood there in realitive silence. Speaking naught as the two conversed. It wasnt her place to speak out when an elder held someone elses attention. She knew that if she had learned anything in her short time of being one of them. Her hand however tightened on Scott's as he spoke out his apologisies for making her. She didnt breath, didnt have to, at all. But even if it was nessacry, she didnt believe she would have. For a moment, no more then a couple seconds, she let her mind wander. Questions popping into her head before being stomped out by the foolishness of it all. Would the woman attempt to seak out her proterty. Take her away from Scott and forbid the two to ever lay eyes upon each other. Or would she simply condone it? Too soon did she have her answer and it shocked her that is was nothing more then a verbal slap to the face for both herself and Scott. Inwardly wincing, she looked towards Scott for a moment to wage his reaction before looking back towards the woman. --- 17:28:21 [`Joe] She knew better then to speak out against her, and to stop herself from doing such, she squeezed her tongue between her teeth, biting down. It was the second precences that filled her with more dread then the woman had. The last time she had seen or spoken to Aemilius, she had brought forth so much anger from him, she had to wonder why he didnt just end her then and there. She felt his hesitance towards her. Dislike rippled from him like smoke from a fire and she inwardly winced again. Had she messed up so bad with these two she'd be outcasted from them from eternity? She didnt know the answer to that and didnt have much time to reflect when Chanel's velvety voices impeded on her thoughts. Kneel? Was she serious? Her eyes flashed to Scott again, as if asking the unspoken question. She woud however, kneel to the ground if Scott did, her hand still clenched around his tightly. 17:39:48 Scott_Masterson stood waiting for an answer from the old vampiress and still holding Joe's hand when he caught sight of movement in the darkness and--for the first time in a year--struggled to decipher just what he was seeing. When he realized it was a pair of feet, and then legs and a torso slowly coming from the shadows, he was momentarily stunned. This had never been witnessed or even imagined before, and even when the face appeared and was recognized as Aemilius he could hardly believe it. It was a long way from vampiric eyesight or strength, or even the telepathy and speed he had admired since learning it's existence. It was incredible. A feat like none other that left him again guessing just how old this vampire was, and what sorts of secrets that deceptively normal face held. I suddenly occured to him for the first time, who it was that Aemilius had reminded him of even the first time he'd seen the man, back in Canada; Though it was not obvious unless was looking for it, the ancient bore an < 17:39:51 Scott_Masterson almost uncanny resemblance to the mythical Dracula. The thought seemed absurd until he considered that the possibility was--in a very real way--just that; a possibility. Maybe the ancient had been the inspiration for such tales to be passed down in folklore and written work. His obviously old age supported that theory. His eyes flickered back to Chanel when she responded, and though the negative tone of her words was evident, they were also confusing. He did not know what she meant by 'vampire witch', and the term seemed almost silly before he recognized the seriousness in that face of hers. He opened his mouth to reply when she spoke again, and again his eyes glanced to Aemilius before returning to the old vampiress. When she spoke a third time, he gave a confused look as if questioning if she was serious. He felt Joe's hand tighten slightly in his own and < 17:39:57 Scott_Masterson then couldn't the contain the smile and a slight laugh at her request. " Kneel? You're joking." Again his eyes jumped to Aemilius' before returning to hers. This didn't make sense. The action ahd never been required before, and seemed more the will of some bitter human than the elder that Chanel was. " No." He spoke calmly, still struggling to keep the claws from poking through their fleshy scabbards. " I don't believe that's necessary." He eyed Aemilius again for a moment, relatively certain that the gesture was not required to appease him. It was obvious that this was not a good situation, but in the ranks of vampires...Chanel was outdone. And unless Aemilius himself reiterated the need for such niceties, it would not happen. 17:50:35 Aemilius “Ah Chanel, you were always my favorite child,” he said as he glared down at her. Upon hearing her order the other two, he smiled. Submission was something he enjoyed, and if they did submit to her, they in turn were submitting to him. It was a stroke to his ego, which would please him greatly. But he would make no gesture to show his pleasure that toyed with him on the inside. Upon hearing Scott's brave answer, he smiled at Chanel and even cocked his left brow playfully. The elder wouldn't say a word, it wasn't he that they had spoken to her, it was in defiance of her that they did not bow. Part of him respected the bravery that Scott had shown, and another part of him felt like laughing at Chanel for their our right disrespect towards her wishes. Letting his arm drop from her side, he would cross them over his chest and watch what would unfold. “Perhaps tonight would be fun,” he thought to him self as he smirked at Chanel, silently telling her to handle her business. -c- 17:50:52 Aemilius In truth Aemilius wasn't upset at Scott's brazen act towards Chanel, he knew if he had commanded, they'd both be kneeling if they valued their unlife, or so he thought? But in this moment he was more interested to see how his child would deal with them, or if she was even able to handle the two of them. Of course he wouldn't let things get... to.. out of hand, would he?-e- 18:09:55 Chanel felt her back stiffen noticably when the two children refused to obey. It was unthinkable. Shocking, surely. Not only would they openly defy an elder, but to refuse to show the proper respect to the eldest, she had no words for it. Outranked she may have been, but only by Aemilius. Was that really all it required? She was certainly the second eldest among them. She felt a rare fury course through her, her eyes darkening noticably. She felt a shiver course through her, even as Aemilius pulled away from her and crossed his arms across his chest. She snaked a glance at Aemilius. Was he laughing at her? He couldnt be serious. She had the distinct feeling that he was mocking her, but she knew better than to glower or pout. And so, she had no choice but to turn her heads to Joe and Scott. Caught between embarrassment and fury, she had no choice but to act. To do less would be to show herself as weak, and she could not do so in front of the Eldest. "You show your disrepect for the Eldest, and that I cannot forgiv 18:10:12 [Chanel] forgive. You will kneel, won't you Joe?" Her eyes flashed, and a satisfied smirk came to her lips. She moved forward, and even her graceful step was a thing of beauty. She ran her hand along the others chin, forcing it up, even as her thumb brushed against her lower lip. She grinned, obviously pleased with herself. "They tell me the green haired lady is a treat these days..worthy of a feast.." She whispered into the fledglings ear. "Kneel to me, and to Aemilius, and I will let her live.." She hissed, her hand tightening. Joe was aware of her passion, of the fury that coiled and recoiled within her. But she was also aware of her compassion, and her perchance for letting stupid mortals to live. Could she keep her at her word, would she keep Gina alive? Was Gina even free? Or another twist in the game. Her eyes stared hard into Joe's, almost daring her to defy her and give up the life of her only sister. 18:22:42 [`Joe] Her knees were bent, ready for Scott to kneal with her. When he didnt, she straightened back up and watched the elders for a moment before looking towards Scott. Were these two serious, her eyes seemed to ask him. Did they really expect them to kneel to them in a semi public place, where mortals could all but watch the act and wonder what they were doing? Suredly not. But it seemed otherwise. Seemed as if something had irked in Chanel and made something snap. As the elder woman appraoched her, she looked to the woman with even, unemotional eyes. That hand, those fingers that moved to brush over her skin, her chin, her lip were disregarded. Everything that the woman had done moved not an emotion in her. Not until she'd spoke. Her crystaline eyes flashed towards her with a fury unmatched. "You will not touch her." she seethed betwix clenched teeth. This moment she didnt care if she'd spoken out of turn. She'd done nothing to the woman to warrent such actions from her. Nothing to deserve such treatment. - 18:22:46 [`Joe] Atleast nothing in her undead life. However, the words she'd spoken spoke of nothing but thruth. She knew the woman coud be merciless and the last thing she wanted was for Gina to get caught in the crossfire. Looking to Scott once more, her eyes held an unspoke apology before she found herself lowering to her knees, looking at up at woman with a newfound hatred for her. 18:29:12 Scott_Masterson glared at Chanel as he waited for what would undoubtedly be an unpleasant response, and his eyes didn't waver either time that Aemilius spoke--though the sentence led him to believe that the outcome would not be in their favor, and he quickly found himself presuming that there had been an unspoken order for both him and Joe to be killed. The perceived sleight did not show in his expression however, and though he knew that as a human he would have been shaking with both fear and rage, he was deathly still as this body always seemed to be. Even before Chanel responded in any way, he let go of Joe's hand and the claws began to extend from inside each finger, their obsidian surface more than likely going unnoticed to any human passing on the sidewalk just inches behind him, though he doubted either vampire missed it. It was not something that could be helped. The amount of respect he had already been forcing himself to show the elders took an incredible amount of conscious will on his part, and 18:29:15 Scott_Masterson what he now believed was going to be a fight to death had the almost beastial rage already boiling inside of him. He had to wonder...if he struck out, and somehow managed to tear the heart from Chanel before she could react...what would Aemilius' reaction be? And, if both him and Joe were already slated for death, as he suspected, did that even matter? It didn't seem to. Of course, the confidence that such an attack would be successful was almost non-existant. But there was no way in hell he was going to go without a fight. He felt each set of fangs grow slowly inside of his mouth just as his claws had, and without intention the red glint flashed in his eyes as Chanel responded and approached Joe. Whatever restraint he had still been holding onto suddenly snapped. Maybe it was the spoken threat towards Joe--after all, there weren't many green-haired ladies around--or maybe it was the elder's hand moving for Joe's throat even < 18:29:21 Scott_Masterson as words calmly escaped the old vampire's lips. Maybe it was the natural urge for a Sire to protect their fledgling. Whatever it was, all 'will' seemed to dissipate in the span of a few milliseconds, evidenced as the remaining inches of his claws extended and the glint in his eyes seemed to shine brighter than it ever had before. He wanted her blood, and not a few embarassing drops. All of it. He wanted the elder's heart in his hands and dripping vitae to the cold cement below. Even it was the last thing he saw before Aemilius ended them, and even if it cost them all their lives--him, Joe, and Gina. Chanel was well within striking distance and fully focused on Joe rather than him. Despite all the wisdom she had gathered in her many years, that was her biggest mistake. Even as Joe slowly bent at the knees and began to kneel, he struck out as fast as he could < 18:29:30 Scott_Masterson --aiming to pierce the unfocused elder's chest and impale her heart with at least three of the five-inch long finger-blades, if not all of them. If they did indeed find their mark, he tore them back out almost as fast, expanding as he did so and bringing at least a large chunk of the elder's heart with them. 21:05:12 [Aemilius] Stood completely still, watching what was unfolding. Indeed the elder foresaw the coming attack, and smiled as Scott stepped past that comfortable line of safety. The elder stood peering at her with his eyes shimmering with anger, and delight. But this wasn't his fight, if Chanel couldn't get her self out of this one, it was on her. But if Scott killed the vampire before him, Aemilius would in tow take Scott's life. So while standing there the elder wouldn't blink, breath, or give one movement of his body. He only waited, wanting to see if Chanel would become injured, or if she would let her true powers show. At this point Aemilius wouldn't get involved, out of respect for Chanel, and Scott.-e- 21:16:57 Chanel watched Joe witha merciless gaze, her eyes unreadable, the darkness in them unfathamable. A slow smile came to her lips. "Oh, will I not?" She challenged back. Truly, if they had knelt, she wouldnt have to loose the cads of fate, and truly, Joe could see it coming onto herself. If she had not knelt, her Gina would be safe. Was it really such a strong thing as to bend ones knee? Surely an act like that had been performed before. She felt nothing at the woman's ire, but her eyes blazed as she began to kneel. "Good girl!" She clapped her hands together, pleased. "You are learning. Good!" She seemed genuinely happy at the prospect. But only too soon would the anger of the other, the male be roused. Foolish boy. Did he truly think she had her focus fully on the newborn? Just as he began to move, the world shifted in its wake. The air sharpened. Shimmered. She felt his blades pop out of his skin even before a milisecond had passed. His body lunged. Aiming to tear the heart from her back. It really was Scott's fol 21:17:15 [Chanel] folly that his vampiric strength and speed were no match for Chanel's. Hadnt he learned that already? In a split second, she kissed Joe and then dropped down, rolling out of the way just as Scotts finger-blades sliced the air where she had been, possibly tearing into Joe instead. She did not stop there, and the moment that her hands had hit the ground, she swept her leg out, fixing to hit the back of Scotts legs and force him to crumple. If she was successful, she would laugh. "On your knees!" She would say as his body (possibly) hit his back. 21:35:49 `Joe knelt there, eyes flicking back and forth between Chanel and Aemilius, unsure of where to go from there. She'd done as she was told. No, threatened, to do. And now she was done with it. She didnt care if the non-kneeling was disrepectful. Maybe it was the hunter in her. Or her spirit. But she believe those who demanded respect must first earn it. Or else it meant nothing. As she moved to stand, everything seemed to change in seconds. The brush of those female lips against her own registered first, causing her to do no more then blink. Then she was gone. In her place was a knarly looking claw heading her way. She didnt have time, vampiric speed or not, to scramble backwards before she felt the sharp, buring pain scrape across her cheek, spreading it wide open. It was then that she moved into action. As fast as Chanel, she moved, spun around and attempted to stop her leg with her own, pressing it to the ground and stopping her from knocking Scott to the ground. Fangs enlongated, she growled at the woman, --- 21:35:53 [`Joe] daring her to move again. "If you want respect," she began, "you will earn it." If all that happened, she'd release the woman and stand, placing herself between Scott and the woman. If none of what she did happened, she'd be there, crouched on the ground, ready to pounce if needed. 21:39:15 Scott_Masterson was almost positive that the strike would meet it's target, and even as he swung he was considering what would follow if it did indeed kill the elder Chanel. Attacking Aemilius directly after was the only way to completely ensure their safety, and he was very aware that--even if he got lucky enough to end Chanel--defeating one elder and an ancient was impossible. Some part of him had known it was a suicide mission even before he had pulled the arm back, but logic was not the governing portion of his thoughts at that moment. There was only the rage that had been there since that first night in Toronto, somehow part of him just as much as the claws were, or Joe now was. He even wondered, if the attack was successful in killing Chanel, would Aemilius would be impressed enough that they would escape his wrath? If that was the case, he would feed on the dying elder's blood even as her heart stopped beating. But things did not go as planned. 21:39:18 Scott_Masterson His lack of vampiric speed was suddenly very apparent, and in all respects he did not even see what actually happened. One moment Chanel was there as the claws sped for her back, and at the very moment he expected to feel the shredding of flesh and bone underneath them, she was gone--and the claws instead raked hard across Joe's face, cutting deep into her flesh. Before he even realized the error, his legs were knocked out from underneath him with all the force of a sledgehammer hitting each of his knees from behind. By the time he was aware that Joe had been cut, he was on his back rather than his knees as Chanel had demanded--and just as she repeated the order in a vicious voice that he would've thought impossible from her frame. He struggled to get to his feet, and only ended up unintentionally obeying the order upon discovering that < 21:39:24 Scott_Masterson each kneecap had been broken with the powerful impact. He screamed as the pain hit him, more than likely drawing some attention from the not-so-empty streets just behind him, and managed to stifle it after a short moment--though each small movement now hurt an incredibe amount as broken knees ground into the concrete floor beneath him. His teeth were bared upwards at Chanel, and in the rage he would have swung again if both hands hadn't suddenly been required to relieve the weight on his knees. But they were. And each clawed hand held the ground tightly as he waited for the finishing blow to come, and then fell onto his side upon realizing he was defenseless. He clawed wildly for Chanel's feet a few times before realizing it was a futile effort, and he could only look back to Joe with a look that said 'I'm sorry'. His hand went back to lay against the cold ground, 21:39:32 Scott_Masterson and he could only bark a vicious--and quite pained-- "Fuck you!"" to Chanel, the words the product of rage and intense pain rather than logic. 21:55:51 Aemilius Felt a shrill of blood hunger shoot through him. The frenzy of the fight only made his inner monster wish to come out and play. But like a ruler the creature chose to stand and watch his people fight with one another. Truly the fight could end very quickly if he had wanted it to, he knew well what Scott's leash was, and how to tug on it. It was what Aemilius did with his unlife, learning to manipulate others to do his bidding. An tonight would be a perfect demonstration of not only his Dark Gifts, but of his calculating mind and manipulative ability's. Letting his arms drop, he moved with such speed that his image would vanish. The sudden stop would cause the air around them to boom like thunder, and Aemilius would attempt to end this spat now. Using his left hand, he would grasp Joe's neck and coil her around into his embrace. If for some reason she managed to move out of his grasp or dodge him, he would simple stand where she had been. -c- 21:56:19 Aemilius If he was able to grab her neck, he would hold her by it, like a young child would hold a doll baby against its chest. “Now,” he said as he glanced at her neck hungrily, “I will have order in my house.” The elder glared at the neck, watching the blood trails of her cheek staining her pale skin. The temptation to lick it overcame him, and he did while glancing at Scott. “If you get up now, I'll be sure to....” stopping in his tracks the elder would be in a sudden awe. His face shifted from the cocky confident glare it held before into a discussed glare. Up until that point he wasn't aware that Joe was a vampire slayer. In his shock he let the girl go, and only glared at her as he backed up. Up until this point this was fun and games, but once Joe's blood spoke to the elder, screaming her secrets to him, it became personal. “You... Your a killer of ~my~ children!” Both of his ears would begin to elongate and grow, becoming something comparable to elvish ears.-c- 21:56:43 Aemilius Peeking out from under his lips, two white daggers came out from hiding and his eyes became flooded with blood. Only his pupils would be seen showing past the blood shot eyes of this monster. “You've been before me pretending to be one of us. And Scott cowered to tell me. Even you Chanel.... did not tell me of this... Hunter.” The creatures voice would be smooth and angelic contrasting harshly with the shifting form of this elder. It seemed the true creature that vampires where on the inside slowly surfaced. His nose slowly sunk away, leaving behind only two slits for nostrils, his hair melded into his skin, and his eyes sockets grew in thickness. The sicking grin that they witnessed returned upon his face, exposing more flesh then naturally would be seen in a smile. Glancing down at Scott in a discussed manor, he'd step closer to the prone man. “Why, did it slip your mind to tell me what she was?” Glancing back to Joe as he casually walked towards her. -c- 21:59:37 Aemilius Once again the creature would move with unseen speed and grab her by her neck, pulling her face close to his. “Respect, well have I gained your respect yet woman?” his breath would be stained with all the decaying death that followed the creature. In this moment the vampires before him knew what they where. That hunger that twisted inside them, the power that they used so effortlessly, was simply the creature that stood before them. Indeed they were damned, this creature was nothing that god would have created. It looked like a twisted human, half demonic spawn, and never dieing human. It was a gift that all elder vampires of pre-christ had been given, and most that saw this -thing- wouldn't live to tell.-e- 22:09:06 Chanel felt the block of Joe's leg against hers, but still, the elder was faster and Scott went down regardless. She paused, her serpentine eyes, before hidden, now blazed. "Respect goes both ways, witch woman. And you seek not to give it, only to demand it." She pulled away from the woman, even as Scott cried out in pain and horror at what his folly had cost him. She sought not to make barbs at his discomfort. Hopefully he would learn from his mistake. If not well...it was possible he would not live through his first century. Her eyes turned as Aemilius finally took action, and her eyes were unreadable as she felt the rage grow within him. She saw the change in his eyes, and his features, and felt it through her bones. "I never planned on it, Honored Father. I sought you, but you remained hidden. Forgive me." Showing deference for the verneable father, she pressed her forehead to the ground, mindful of his anger. Unlike the others, she had learned her place, and truly..it wasn't all that high. She lifted her gaz 22:09:23 [Chanel] gaze as she watched him toy with Joe, and offered her no compassion as he possibly gained her by the neck and shouted at her. Finally, she pushed herself to her feet, and moved towards Aemilius, mindful of his temper. She lay her hand against his back and pressed her cheek to his shoulder. "Peace Father. She is a hunter no longer. She could be very valuable to us." She flickered her gaze at Joe, hopeful that she would heed her advice to remain silent, almost silently shaking her head at her. "She knows the hunters ways. She knows their hideouts. She can hunt them for us." She knew in her gut that Joe would do no such thing, but it was very dangerous trying to placate a dangerous and furious ruler. |

22:15:00 Scott_Masterson fully expected death to come at any moment, perhaps even before he realized it was. Yet somehow the only thought in his mind was that he had hurt Joe, and could smell her blood on his claws even despite the pain and the mind swimming in rage. It was suddenly very obvious--he should have knelt. Defying the order had been an act of preservation for his own pride, which in retrospect was not nearly as important as Joe's life, or Gina's, or his. He heard Aemilius speak and looked up just in time see the ancient licking the trail of blood from Joe's cheek, and he again struggled to stand but it was simply--and physically--impossible. He bared his teeth at Aemilius instinctively and then forced the expression to dwindle as the ancient spoke. Until now, it had not even occured to him that Aemilius didn't know Joe's background as a hunter, but as soon as the words passed the vampire's lips, he had no doubts left--it was over. 22:15:05 Scott_Masterson She would be torn apart, and then he would suffer the same fate. He watched Aemilius begin to change, first thinking it was just an illusion produced by the blood tears that had begun filling his eyes, and then realizing it was not. He had become something entirely different...now more reminiscent of a demon than anything Scott would have classed as a vampire. Aemilius approached and spoke in a voice that was not at all the Aemilius he had come to be familiar with, and Scott replied quickly and without hesitation... " I thought you knew!" It was the only explanation he could muster, and the truth in every sense of the word. He watched the Aemilius-thing reappear in front of Joe and grab her by the neck before speaking. He was positive that at any moment that gorgeous head of hers would become separated and fall to the ground. 22:15:11 Scott_Masterson He heard the words that Aemilius spoke, though they barely registered before he called out, his voice more pleading than it had ever been--as a vampire or otherwise... " Please! Aemilius! Let her go! I'll do anything!"</I> He tried to crawl closer and only ended up collapsing again as his shattered kneecaps met the concrete below. <B>"Please! Chanel is right!" He could only lay half on his side, staring in more horror than any of his own victims had ever faced. 22:24:17 [`Joe] They were ones to talk. Giving no respect. Only demanding service from the lowerer, lesser vampires. They were the least respectful vampires she'd come to meet as of yet. Growling, she went to stand. To face both Aemilius and Chanel on even ground. Eye to eye. She didnt expect the male elder to move as he did, and she had zero time to react. Her face burned to feriously for her to even concentrate. All too soon, those fingers of Aemilius' were wrapping around her neck and her body was being pulled into his. She did the impossible and held her tongue out against him. Instead, she stood there and stared down at Scott. Everything in her told her to fight. To use the knowledge she had gained in life to take this man down. Self perservation for not only herself, but for Scott halted even the slightest of actions. She didnt know how she knew it, but the moment he'd licked her, she knew that he knew everything she was. Everything she'd done when alive. After being tossed aside, she stumbled, ---- 22:24:20 [`Joe] falling towards the ground, her hands reaching out to catch her. As Chanel spoke, she had to once again fight the words that threatened to push forth. To call the woman a liar. To tell them she wouldnt do what Chanel thought she would do. But it was useless and would most likely sign her death warrent. As she moved to crawl towards Scott, she was once again snatched, fingers wrapping around her throat. It was in that moment she faw for the first time the monster that Aemilius had become. The fear registered only in her eyes. Her hand reached up and wrapped around his wrist instinctively, forgetting for a moment that she needent breath anymore. 22:39:07 Aemilius Glanced at the girl, his eyes seemed to burn two tiny holes through her. Yet he remained still, and his hands did not tighten around her neck. He first listened to Chanel, some what agreeing with her, but not really caring about the information this woman could give them. Just as he was about to end her immortal life, Scott's voice began to beg. It was like a soothing breeze on a hot day to hear him begging not to kill this woman. All in all he was submitting to him, acknowledging that he had power over him. Glancing over his shoulder, he would glare down at Scott with a sickening grin upon his monster's face. “Did I hear you say something Scott,” his voice would have returned to normal as did his body. “Did you beg me to spare her life? This woman whom took our kinds lives before, even dared to take your own?” Returning his gaze to Joe, “What is it that draws you to her,” he said in a sadistic tone as his free hand explored her chest.-c- 22:39:20 Aemilius “It isn't these breasts, nor is it her sex. What is it that makes you whimper for me to spare her life? Do you know Chanel?” Glaring at Chanel for a moment, before removing that hand that explored Joe's chest. But before Chanel could answer him he would interrupt her, “Return to my manor, I would like to deal with you later.” Returning his focus to the girl in his grasp, “I'll let you live this night through, but know this,” returning his sight upon Scott, “I leave her life in Chanel's hands. If she wishes to snuff her life away, then it shall be. So Scott she's coming with me tonight. And you'll just have to pray that Chanel isn't to upset with you? Or you'll never get to say your good bye's to this.... hunter.” -e- 23:08:11 Scott_Masterson watched that entirely inhuman visage turn towards--and again was positive that it was just for added effect when Joe would be decapitated by that hand around her throat. He found himself willing his knees to heal so he could move, maybe at least provide enough of an annoyance that Joe could use her speed and escape, but kew even as the thought passed that it was futile. He had broken enough bones in the last year to know that he was not walking anytime soon, at least not without a pair of crutches or an incredible amount of blood suddenly introduced into his system. He could only watch, denying the urge to turn away in case a horrific scene was burned into his mind forever--even if forever was only a few minutes, or seconds. Aemilius spoke, and just as quickly as his form had shifted it had returned to it's original state, though the change somehow only made him more horrifying now that he knew what that shell contained. 23:08:14 Scott_Masterson Drops of blood snaked from his eyes down his face, falling to the ground just inces from his chin. The questions spoken in Aemilius' normal voice seemed rhetorical but he answered them anyway, slowly crawling forward only slightly on his elbows as he did... " Because she's MINE! I made her! I love her! She's the only thing I have in the world." He hung his head only briefly before looking back to Joe--only because each glimpse of her 'living' self had suddenly become more precious than anything else. Aemilius spoke again and there was a massive sense of relief upon hearing the first words, that at least she would survive the night. That seemed an enormous generosity after having expected her death at any moment, though he was quickly reprehensive upon hearing that Aemilius intended to take her. He was already imagining the horrors she< 23:08:20 Scott_Masterson would experience, and it didn't take long before that fate seemed worse than death. " Fine, leave her to Chanel, I don't care. But please....please Aemilius, don't take her... Let her come back to the apartment...we won't go anywhere...I promise you..." He struggled for more words, but nothing else came to mind. He had pleaded with all of his undead heart, and even if the request was denied, at least there was now a chance she would live--however damaged she might be when he saw her again. "Please...!". 23:13:35 [`Joe] That hand that wrapped around her neck felt like a vice, even if it hadnt moved to tighten over her flesh. She'd tried twice now to pull free and came to the same conclusion each time. There was no escaping the monster. He could remove her head from her shoulders with the slightest flick of her wrist, hoding her in place would have been no harder then hold a fly in a closed fist. Her blue eyes bleed with red the more the man spoke. The more he taunted her sire. The rage building within her. She was a hunter. Had delt with this kind on a night to night basis. With this newfound vampiric strength, she still couldnt find it within her to pull away from Aemilius and end him once and for all. The moment his hands started moving over her, groping her, she moved her own to push his away. "Don't touch me." she growled between clenched teeth. There was so much she'd tolerate. Being touched as he was, was not one of them. Her eyes flickered to Scott, the red retreating at the sight of him. "Scott." ------ 23:13:40 [`Joe] she whispered, everything in her tone begging for him to help her. To take her away from this monster and back to the apartment. No. To some place different. When Aemilius voiced his actions, she gasped, struggling for a moment. Her own attempted pleas were drowned out by the voice of Scott, giving Aemilius all the reasons why she should live. She was his. She knew that. In every sence of the word, she belonged to Scott and Scott alone. She kept her eyes held steadfast on Scott and kept her words silent, her tongue stilled, eyes never leaving those of her making. Her own red tears slipping down her cheeks to mingle with the blood that seeped from her cheek. 23:33:06 Aemilius Smiled as he listened to Scott, and even smirked at Joe as she pushed his hand away. “Scott,” he would ask in a polite voice? “Tell her to submit to me. Or the next time she disobeys I'll have to... Spank her.” the elder smiled at her upon saying spanking. Truly he could do anything he wanted with her, but rather then rush the fun, he would relish it. Locking his eyes on Joe's he spoke to Scott, “Have I ever lied to you Scott,” giving him some time to think it over before continuing? “I'll promise you, I will not hurt her. She will be fine, and in the eve of this next night you'll be able to visit her. But let me remind you, her life is in Chanels hands. If Chanel wishes to kill the girl, then she'll be dead. I'll tell her you'd rather not have your... Love... not distorted.” mocking him slightly before lifting the girl up off of her feet. Both of them would lift up off the ground and fly skyward, until both of them were no longer seen.-c- 23:33:36 Aemilius While flying Aemilius spoke directly to Joe, “Your right,” peeling his eyes away from her to glare up into the sky where they were headed. “Respect should be granted, rather then being taken. But I have no reason to have to prove my self to you dear. Like cows say, 'Respect your elders.'” Chuckling as they skimmed through the clouds. The feeling of the cool damp clouds upon their skin would be refreshing, and smooth. “Where angels you know? Sent by God to send those whom he selects to heavens gates. Its that, that your people do not know. Gabriel was one of us, damning the people of Eygpt so long ago,” educating her as they landed miles away from the alley that they left behind. Before her would be a medium size manor, with lights flickering in the window, and Chanel waiting at the entrance into his manor with a smile on her face.-e- 23:40:03 Scott_Masterson felt as though he could lose consciousness at any moment, between the pain in his shattered knees--whetehr he had weight on them or not--and the terror swimming through his mind at a frenzied pace. The rage had given way to helpless anxiety like he had never experienced. In the past year, the rage had always solved problems...and being utterly powerless was a feeling very much alien to him at this point. It was easy to fall under the illusion that one was some sort of demi-god when they had power that put them above men, but it was glaringly obvious that that was far from the truth. Back in Canada when they had first met, he had thought Aemilius a friend--even a generous and hospitable one--and it was now incredibly evident that it had simply been an illusion, one that hid something far darker than even he would have guessed, and one that he had fallen for without question. 23:40:06 Scott_Masterson He looked back to Joe, and for just a moment the rage spiked again and he wanted to tear that smirking head from Aemilius' shoulders, but the thought was almost instantly forced from his mind, for fear that it might be detected, and again that helplessness filled the void left behind. His hand gripped the concrete ground hard enough that small chips were forced with each small movement of his hand. He listened intently as Aemilius spoke, and for a moment thought the ancient would agree to his pelas for Joe's freedom. He had even opened his mouth to tell Joe to submit in the hopes that it would appease the old vampire's wishes and cause him to leave alone--though as the words continued it became apparent that that was not the case. He again opened his mouth to protest, but they were already ascending slowly. His mind was too shocked to waste any time on awe for that particular power, and he searched for something--anything--else to say that < 23:40:12 Scott_Masterson might change the vampire's mind, but there was nothing. Only the sinking feeling that if Chanel deemed it necessary--which she most likely would--he would never see Joe again. Even the sense of her fading with distance was heartbreaking, and all he could do was rake his claws against the concrete even more, knowing screams would draw attention from the street behind him. 23:40:22 [Salerin_Daratrazanoff] moved along the edge of a rooftop. He saw Aemilius fly away, holding Joe by the throat. He turned his gaze down to the alleyway, and spotted Scott laying on the ground. The male's legs looked broken. He sighed softly, leaping from the rooftop to land a few feet from Scott. He dropped to one knee, and gripping hold of Scott's left shoulder, he pulled the male up slightly into a sitting position. Salerin's dark eyes scanned the male for a few moments. "You look as if you could use some help... Is there anything that I might be able to provide you?" Salerin's gaze had locked upon the male's eyes. His short, spiked black hair fixed in place. His black leather trenchcoat hanging loosely at his side. His black jeans rested around his waist. Salerin leaned Scott back slightly, leaning the man's back against his leg. 23:50:51 [`Joe] All the begging in the world wasnt going to deture the man from his quest. She had that undieing feeling within her gut. Words were usless at this point. And action were futile. The man, the monster, that held her by her throat was running this show. It was all too evident. "I sumbit to no one." she hissed out, eyes shifting back to Aemilius. It wouldnt matter if she did or didnt, she knew that. And he only proved her right by taking them away from her maker. Away for the first time since she began this existance from the man that had turned her into what she was. A man she had grown so attached to, love was the only word to decribe it. Even if she didnt believe this kind was capable of it. She closed her eyes then, as they grew further and further away from Scott and everything she had known about this life thus far. As Aemilius began once more to speak, her eyes open and glared upon that too perfect face. A face that hed a monster beneath its welcoming features. "Do onto others." --- 23:50:59 [`Joe] she stated simply, a golden rule she remembered her parents speaking before they had been so cruely taken away from her. She moved with him, hands clinging to the arm that held her throat until her feet once more touched earth and her eyes feated upon the mansion just ahead. There were no words to decribe it. It was beautiful, and the woman standing in the doorway only seemed to compliment it. To her, this was her new prision. And for that, she would loath this vampire forever. However long that lasted. |
