14:25:27 [Dean_Walt] A week had past since I had become a so called 'vampire' though in actual truth I didn't even know where to begin. Heck I wasn't fully cinvinced I was a vampire, I mean sure I could drink blood, but I wasn't biting people. I simply ordered bloody rare stick which makes me feel sick but still. Also using a certain contact to get me blood packs from the doners section of the local hospital. I still had no answers though, nothing to go on. I had decided to wait til nightfall again before heading out to the city front. I found myself at a rather interesting Bistro/Book Store called Blue Dreams, a place where it seemed other tourists went. But I wasn't here for the food, I needed books, any information I could get at all. I had picked a couple out, "...Hmm, Unexplained Phenominan and The Dark Ages Mysteries..." I gave a sigh, "Maybe I should just go back to that club..." I heard echos of voices in my head as people whispered, but to me it was clear as day. I turned to some people who were conversing, "Excuse (c) 14:27:52 [Dean_Walt] (c) me...can you please keep it down, its a bookstore here." I shook my head, "God...my head feels like a hammer is hitting it..." I closed my eyes and took in a breath, "I don't know how long I can keep this up..." (e) 14:39:28 [Gina] The computer computer clicked as she shifted from one page to another. Everything was quiet in the office of Blue Dreams, Lidia and Marvin working out front with the new girl that was only spose to be filling in for Joe. But Gina knew different. Knew that the woman would be there for longer then any of them had expected. Which sucked. She liked Joe. Of all the people that came through those doors, Joe was the only one that had really ever gotten her misguided ways. Sighing, she clicked the computer off, stood from the chair, and slipped out of the room, heading into the bookstore part of the building. She needed a book to reference. She knew that it was most likely impossible to do so, but she needed to find a way to turn Joe back. If there was one. She'd heard stories. Myths really, about killing the persons sire. If the sire died, the vampires that it had created would revert back to being who they were. Loosing the lust for blood. The stories, however, held no ammount of truth. --- 14:39:31 [Gina] Not that she had seen thus far. She still wanted to look anyways. Walking down one of the isles, her sea green eyes flickered to the male that had spoken to a group before going back to what she was doing. It was a whole two seconds later that realization had dawned on her and she was turning back to him. "It's you. That one guy. How're you feeling?" She recongised him as the guy her and Dior had run down in their attempts to escape a vampire. He looked alright. But then again, looks could be deciving. 14:57:26 [Dean_Walt] I focused for a moment as the headache began to ease as if I was somehow processing the cure. I felt like I was being lifted up, you know like lightheaded but in control. I glanced up to Gina as she spoke, "Ah....hi..." I smiled to her and slowly raised the books to my chest, the last thing I needed was for her to be wondering why I have these strange books, "I'm feeling fine, yeah never better. How are you?" She was the girl from the crash, well hit. She seemed like quite the curious one and I found myself smiling to her in the hopes of distracting her from my books, "So...you come here alot? A bit of a book worm like me then huh?" I smiled again and glanced across the room, the crowd had gone now so it was just us, "Did you get back okay the other night? I had to run sorry." Something always felt a little strange around this girl, like she somehow had a hidden agenda or knew something I didn't. It always made me stare towards her, funny how I'm speaking as if I've know her for a while. But that's how it (c) 14:57:32 [Dean_Walt] (c) feels. (e) 15:05:23 [Gina] The book he was hold had caught her attention, her eyes shifting to the title. She hadnt pegged him for the dark mysterious type of person, but then again, she knew better then to judge a book by its cover, so to speak. "Good book." she said, her hand motioning to the title before he could hide it. It was hard to keep things from her. If she was curious enough, she would have simply attempted to snatch it from him. Lucky for him, she wasnt. "Never better." It wasnt the complete truth, but for all intents and purposes, she was fine. Shifting her gaze for a moment at the door, she pondered something before turning back and smiling. "Oh. No. I work here. When I actually work." A grin tugged at the corner of her lips for a moment before it slid back into the easy smile she was so used to. Moving, she leaned against the corner of one of the shelves, crossing her arms. "Yea. I got back just fine." Dior had given her a lift back to the store,--- 15:05:27 [Gina] making it to where she had to get her car the following day. But she'd made it back safe and sound. "Hey, ya know, I never did catch your name." 15:05:27 [Gina] making it to where she had to get her car the following day. But she'd made it back safe and sound. "Hey, ya know, I never did catch your name." 15:51:09 Scott_Masterson awoke suddenly, the familiar feeling of panic and terror fading all around him, and every undead muscle in his body tensed tightly with the already forgotten dream. He refrained from forcing a deep breath or opening his eyes due only to the moist earth all around him, the pressure of five-or-so feet of the stuff weighing on top of him. It took a moment to remember how he had gotten here, due to the lingering sensation of the nightmare. He had left the apartment the previous night, with no explanation to Joe as she prepared for sleep, and had returned to the carnival. Even underground he could smell the clown's blood on his clothes and skin--and to a far greater extent, the corpse buried almost directly beside him. Something about the man had irritated Scott in a way that couldn't be forgotten, and the previously restrained instinct to kill him had been eating away at him. It had not been entirely smart, both because < 15:51:12 Scott_Masterson by the time he had killed and buried the man it had almost been sunrise, and because he was now here, rather than in that giant bed where Joe must have been even now. He wasn't sure why he had hesitated to do it in Joe's presence. Maybe he didn't want her to know just how much of a monster he was inside. Vampires killed, sure...but most happened by accident. Miscalculated feedings, or unintended witnesses who needed to be silenced. The majority of his kind left most of their victims alive. He was well-aware just how 'human' Joe still was, and had no intention of scaring her off with unnecessary violence. There was also the slight paranoia that had been building--that Joe's hunter friends could burst into the apartment while he slept and couldn't defend himself. Probably unjustified, but it was impossible to be sure. 15:51:17 Scott_Masterson He had retained all of his personal views and behaviors after the change, and had to consider that the same was true for her, despite all outward indications that she had no plans to continue her hunting ways. Laying here, in the silence and cold, he was positive it had all been paranoia. Her attitude had changed when she did, he had seen it happen. It was hard to change old habits, and even harder to trust people--even Joe. He told himself that if the sun had not already been turning the dark sky shades of orange and light blue from underneath the horizon, he would have returned to the apartment...though part of him was glad he hadn't. The silence of being buried underneath a half ton of earth had become a welcome thing in comparison to the noise-filled world above, only the quiet scraping of earthworms and bugs as they travelled around him could be heard--along with the occasional, and very muffled, sound of a car horn. 16:05:16 ErisAngelus was keeping her eyes and ear open for things. The old goddess seemed almost to know just where to look for things didn’t she? Funny how she always knew just when and where to be somewhere. It was truly luck most of the time, but once she had something in her head, she kept a very close eye on it to see it unfold. That’s the part she liked, watching the dominos fall once she set them up. For now, she was in a corner of a book store, no really close to the club at all. Did Eris sleep at all, or did she just lurk, in an endless mass of day and night. It seemed no one really knew, no one really saw her. After last night, she had taken to pouting. Ares’ abuse on her was no longer visible, but as always when he came, he made it very clear just who was boss. Rolling out her neck she looked out the window and realized that she was indeed bored stiff. Working her body into movement, she placed the book down and headed for the door. Something about her didn’t look that same, she actually looked tired, restless. She ~ 16:05:19 [ErisAngelus] She wore the same grey pants and black sweater as from the night before. Moving outside, she walked along the sideways without seeming to be going anywhere. The bright lights of the carnival were close, and the feeling of closeness to someone followed with it. Without reason, and lord knew he would never know how or why she ever did anything. Eris now sat, Indian style just off from Scotts fresh grave and waited for him to wake up. Maybe the woman was lonely and willing to be among those who didn’t truly enjoy her company just to have something. Anything. 16:17:30 Scott_Masterson lost track of time entirely laying there, his mind working over the events of the past week meticulously when it wasn't entirely clear, simply enjoying the silence. It was the smell of the hours-old corpse that finally prompted him to begin moving. He hated that smell. Death and decomposition, not to mention bowels and a bladder that had emptied upon death. He almost hated the clown more now, before remembering the man's frenzied screams in french for him to stop--none of which he had understood, which only the gave slaying a comical feel compared to what it usually was. Slowly, his claws broke through the flesh on each fingertip as his arms began to make small movements. Even with his strength, digging his way out took twenty whole minutes. Twenty minutes of annoyingly slow twisting, repositioning, and clawing repeated what must have been nearly a hundred times. 16:17:33 Scott_Masterson As he made his way to the surface the muffled sounds grew louder and louder. More car horns, distant heartbeats, and that annoyingly happy music from the carnival grounds almost right on top of him. By the time his clawed hand broke the surface of the ground and he began pulling himself up into the dark shadow of a trailer, he was regretting not having stayed at the apartment entirely. A long shower would be necessary by the time he did get 'home', which meant it would be at least an hour or two before he could even begin searching for the night's meal. each hand gripped the ground firmly and he slowly rose, using most of his strength to do it. He only became aware of that sense---the one that accompanies the ancients--just as he spotted Eris, < 16:17:38 Scott_Masterson sitting there cross-legged and looking as though she had been waiting for him forever and was now entirely bored. He spit a few times and finsihed pulling his legs out and lazily shaking the dirt from his hair, eyes not leaving her. He had never had someone waiting for him upon reaching the surface, and the feeling was strange at best. " What're you doing here?" He asked in a rough voice, spitting again before looking back to her and then finally patting his now filthy pockets for his cigarettes before retrieving them and begginning the process of pullin gone from the crumpled pack and lighting it. <E> 16:27:55 [Dean_Walt] I followed her line of sight to my books as she mentioned they were book or it was good. I smiled holding it closer to me, "Yeah, it seems like an interesting read. Its ah...just my...hobby I guess." I smiled to her once more before opening my eyes and looking straight into hers if I caught her gaze. I then nodded and I felt releaved that she was okay along with the other lady who seemed perfectly fit to drive away and leave her there but perhaps her friend came back. I had to run at that time, I wish I could have made sure she got back okay. I then looked to her surprised, "Oh you work here! Well that explains it I guess haha..." I secretly cursed in my thoughts, this ment that she would see both books and it would be awkward and possibly suspect. I smiled to her again, "Well I'm just one of those regular geeks you know haha." I nodded once more as she confirmed she got back okay. I then glanced tot he books and back to her, "Oh...right. I'm Dean Walt, nice to meet you...again." I smiled and offered a (c) 16:28:36 [Dean_Walt] (C) hand only realizing once it was offered that my touch was in fact more then just cold to people when I touched them. Too Late now, "....And you are?" (e) 16:33:20 Dior ~The vile of blood had been a bit of a surprise, not to mention Gina’s sudden departure after giving it. There was another thing praying on her mind… how in hell had the brat known her profession? Dior was more than positive she’d given no such information… or for that matter, her first name. In all likely hood, this would have bothered her more if she hadn’t inspected the blood provided. She had nothing better to do, expect perhaps sleep all day, so instead she’d taken herself out to find a microscope. A cheap one… which had been a mistake, because minutes after looking through the little glass lens she’d gone out to buy another –more expensive- one. Several times did she do this before finally accepting what she could see in the slide. Unbelievable as it was, on and off all day she’d looked again and again, until there was no denying the evidence… and what had Gina said? ‘Don’t ingest any!’ well now, that had been just a bit too hard to resist. <c> 16:33:43 Dior ~Though she’d tasted but a drop of the stuff, it’s effect became apparent after a few minutes in the form of a hot as fire headache. There were only a few drugs she knew of that could induce such a thing and the sample below that microscope of hers contained none of them. Just for a second opinion she emailed her younger brother pictures, he was training to be a doctor… so his ‘diagnosis’ would be useful…not that he was awake at this time, she’d have to wait till tomorrow for his reply. Dior found herself pacing the hotel room till nightfall, at which time she presumed the Blue Dreams opened, if the place opened its doors earlier she didn’t know. The usual taxi cab line was waiting outside her hotel, she pondered taking the Porsche but alas, it still had a Dean shaped dent in it. So yet again she appeared outside that strange little bistro, emerging from one in a long line of taxi cabs she’d been in over the four days of her nightmare filled holiday.<c> 16:33:46 Dior ~ “Keep the change.” she blurted out, in English, before realising the man spoke only French. Not that it mattered, cabbies all over the world understood what you meant when saying that, no matter what language you spoke. Through the doors she went, red jacket tightly wrapped around herself, a cigarette snugly held between her lips as she scanned the area for Green. <f>~ 16:36:14 ErisAngelus watched, waiting, seeming to have the ability to get lost in herself. Finally, once he was pulled from the earth, she would come out of her daze and hear him. “ I…” Her voice held and hint of something that might have been thought of as being unsure. Was she so rattled from lasts night? “ I was just passing and thought I would pester you.” The words ended playfully, a bit more like her old, normal self. Her tired eyes closed, then opened like she was trying to focus. She didn’t need to be around anyone right now, but she didn’t have the will to be alone. Poor Scott just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. “ I never got your name..” The confession might sooth his worries of her reading him mind. If she had, why would she bother asking his name. “ I just realized that a little while ago.” For the first time in a while, Eris seemed to have no big plan, no alternative reasons for doing something. She really was just sitting here because she couldn’t bring herself to go anywhere. The stink of ~ 16:36:33 [ErisAngelus] death rose with Scott, and Eris’ nose wrinkled a little from it. However, she seemed able to ignore the distress it would bring upon her sensitive nasal passage. “ Where is Joe?” She asked suddenly, almost worried. The flash of fear was apparent in her eyes. 16:47:39 [Gina] "Gina." she returned, taking his hand before quickly releasing it. Shit, she thought, shoving her hand in her pocket. All doubt she may of had before was quickly earsed in that single moment. This kid, cause thats all he really looked, was what she had expected. She didnt show it though. Simply smiled. "Hands really cold. Want some coffee to warm them up?" It was the only thing she could think to offer, not wanting to in any way hint that she knew. "Ready to check out, or are you still browsing?" Moving her hands from her front pockets to her back, she rocked on her heals. This was just freaking lovely. Standing across from a vampire was not what she wanted at this moment. Shifting her gaze to the door, she spotted Dior walk in and sucked in a breath before lifting her hand and waving her over. "Dior!" she called out just to get her attention. She wasnt on the bistro side for a change and wanted to detour the woman before she headed that way. Motioning with her head, --- 16:47:43 [Gina] she began to walk towards the woman, indicating Dean could follow if he wants. "Look who it is. Our freind from the other day." she said, motioning behind her. 16:50:06 Scott_Masterson tried three times to light the cigarette hanging from his dirties lips, before realizing it had become broken where the filter met the rest of it. Normally, he made a habit of leaving his cigarettes and clothes above-ground before he dug his way underneath it, for that very reason. He checked the pack as he waited for Eris' reply, only to find the rest had broken as well in the process of urying himself. He tossed aside the pack with a disgruntled sigh, muttering "Fuck." under his breath, and stuck the zippo back in his pocket before shaking more dirt from his hair. His eyes settled back on Eris as she responded, and he removed each shoe and dumped the dirt before pulling them back on. His claws slowly retracted until only normal-looking fingernails were left in their place and he replied, shaking his suit jacket and ridding himself of a small amount of the earth that had become crusted all over it. 16:50:09 Scott_Masterson gave a look in response to her first statement that wanted to remain respectful to the elder, yet came out as one that said he found her behavior bizarre. He quickly realized that there could have been far worse responses to his initial question. Joe could have been killed while he slept, a delayed retribution from the elders, or she could have been sent to summon him for some other reason related to his unapproved changing of Joe. He forced a small smile and responded to her question simply..." Scott. Scott...Masterson." He had grown used to lying about his last name in the past year. To everyone. He couldn't even recall if Joe knew it yet. But, as with Aemilius, he had to assume the ancient already knew and was not going to intentionally insult her with a fabrication. He stood slowly and pulled off the suit jacket, shaking it a little before putting it back on. < 16:50:18 Scott_Masterson "At the apartment, I presume. Unless you know something I don't..." he had to wonder if Eris had already been by the place and not found her, and again why the old vampiress was so concerned. " Why...do you even care? I mean, no disrespect or anything but...I thought all you old types tended to look down on us newbies. Though, that's admittedly based on books written by humans. So maybe that's just a misconception on my part." He ran a hand through his hair again, and again a faint mist of dirt fell to his shoulders. " ...Don't you have, like, a mansion somewhere or something? Filled with servants and people in cages just waiting to be eaten?" He smiled lightly, though most of his mind was focused on that buzz in his consciousness indicating her presence and age. <e> 16:57:05 [`Joe] She'd woken alone. Just as she had gone to sleep alone just before sunrise. It was an odd sensation, having had spent the last couple days in the company of her sire. But maybe it was better this way. Maybe it would give her time to think. To work things out in her head. She'd found that she was more who she had been before the change. And that meant that somewhere in her, she still had that urge to do what she was raised to do. Hunt. Though now it was different. Now she was what she'd spent so long hunting. Could she go back to that? Kill those that she didnt think deserved the gift that had been given? She knew the rules. Knew that no one, aside from and elder or coven leader, could kill one of thier kind without getting killed in punishment. So she didnt see the way to get it done if she even wanted to. Sighing, she slipped from the bed, tossing the lush covers to the side and going to change. She chose a black skirt that hung from her hips and stopped about mid thigh, a black babydoll shirt and--- 16:57:22 [`Joe] fishnet stockings. Pulling her boots on, she pulled a brush through her hair, cleaned the taste out of her mouth and headed out. There was something she had wanted to do, and with Scott being gone, she wasnt going to waste time in getting it done. She just wanted to see. To make sure everything was fine. She wouldnt go in, she promised herself. Would just watch from afar for a while. It'd taken her less time then she thought it would to make it across town to the side walk that laid across from Blue Dreams. She stayed hidden within a door way of a building, sinking into the darkness to stay unseen. Her peered through the huge window that looked into the building. It'd taken less then a second to spot the green hair girl. From where she stood, she looked alright. Conversing with some guy. Typical teenage behavior. It was when the woman had walked in and Gina had moved towards her that she stepped forward closer to get a better look. She recongised the woman. She'd given her a messege. --- 16:57:26 [`Joe] One she presumed had been given by now. If not, it would be relayed soon. She faught every impluse to just walk in. Instead, she stayed standing there, watching. For now. 16:57:52 [Dean_Walt] I smiled once more, "Gina, great." I then shifted my stance as I felt uncomfortable once more when she shot her hands into her pockets, "Ah yeah...sorry. Bad circulation, runs in my family actually." I then thought for a moment and bailing now would seem more then odd, "Ah...sure a coffee would be nice." I smiled trying to look confident as she asked about my books, "No I'm ready thanks." This might not be so hard, that was until I saw her own stance shift as she began to rock back and forth, she was uncomfortable. Did she know what I was or ment to be? She then called out a name from across the room, my eyes followed the direction of the call to spot the other lady from the night I was hit by the car. I gritted my teeth anxiously, this wa sbad I need help. I took in a breath to focus, lucky i had fed on blood packets before hand. I smiled as Gina indicated for me to follow, I slowly made my way over to the lady Dior, she seemed to have just walked in. As Gina spoke a smiled to Dior, "Hi there." (e) 17:04:15 ErisAngelus narrowed her eyes, hearing him name and letting it go to memory. The wind picked up a little, causing her hair to fly around her face. The old goddess turned into it, letting the strands flow around freely before the breeze stopped and she reached up to brush it away. Perhaps no one in today’s word understood the past, or how things really were. No one ever noticed the slave’s ring she had wore so long now that the metal was molded to her finger. Perhaps that was why she hated being treated like and elder, hated the idea of it. She knew what it was like to look up at someone and fear them simply because they could crush you on a whim. She could never do that. Those doe brown eyes looked back at him, trying to stay in a calm state. “ No, I don’t know anything.” She spoke, in truth even. “ I find the younger more appealing for they retain more of their human aspects. The older one gets, the more they sink into the role of acting the lord and master. I am far older then you might think. But you know ~ 17:05:10 [ErisAngelus] something…” She paused looking away again. For this moment, she wasn’t this elder who mettled, she was just a woman lost and lonely. “ I love who and what I am, because it’s the only thing I know. Yet, I wonder why I couldn’t have just died there on the damn rock.” Why was she being open? Simple, the woman just needed someone to call friend. And Scott, well he was the unlucky candidate. Eris was odd for what she was. She was a monster, but could this be because she didn’t know how to be anything else. “ Why do you smoke?” She asked, her voice such as honey soft flow of sound. It seemed she couldn’t understand the very human addiction. 17:06:26 Dior ~The Blue Dreams was no different than she remembered, not that it could be since she’d been there only two nights ago. Although, the room she remembered most was the ‘armoury’. Strange that, she’d set foot in there only that one time yet it was her most clear memory. The sheer number of primeval weapons had been somewhat of a shock, cross bows, stakes, swords and bottles of ‘water’ along side guns and other much more modern artillery. Walking into that office she’d expected a number of things, perhaps a desk & computers… or a few filing cabinets lining the walls, but no. She’d gotten an arsenal. How nice. ‘Dior!’ came the increasingly familiar sound of Gina’s voice, not in the Bistro as she had expected, but the bookstore… with the guy they’d hit the other day. “I would hardly say he was a friend…” she mumbled before leaning in towards Gina, so close she could smell the girls perfume “<b>Il devrait être mort, vous savez ceci, oui?<b>” <c> 17:06:29 Dior ~ she whispered, hopeful that her low voice was only detectible by Gina, who was closest of the two. Would Dean understand it? Or hear her? Maybe, but Dior had no idea about vampire hearing. It wasn’t in her curriculum at school you see. “Hello.” she stated, somewhat flatly towards Dean, her tone not quite unfriendly… but close.<f> ~ 17:15:33 [Gina] She nodded simply to Dean before stopping infront of Dior. The phrase in french sound odd. Werid. She wasnt all that great at the language, but got through it none the less. She nodded her head in simple answer to the question, giving her an odd look before turning to Dean with a smile. "Lets get you some coffee and rung up. Then I'm sadly going to have to leave you. Dior and I have some unfinished business to attend to." If asked about this said business, she'd simply expalin that Dior was helping her get into school for forsensic science and giving her some pointers. Nothing all that exciting. Dior, on the other hand, would know exactly what it was about. Moving to the coffee machine, she poured a to go cup and handed it off to him before heading to the checkout counter. She scanned, bagged, and gave a total in moments, not even charging him for the coffee. Once all was said and done, she smile before handing back his purchase. "I really hope you enjoy these. I did." --- 17:15:36 [Gina] Another smile graced her lips before she turned back to smile at Dior. "Il va jeter le café. Regarder." The translation may have been rough for the woman, but it would get her point across. "See you around?" she asked as she turned back to Dean, making it sound like she wanted that. 17:23:57 Scott_Masterson tried to reach out with his senses and focus on Joe--or more specifically, her whereabouts, but he could only sense the elder Eris at the moment due to her proximity. What he thought was a constant link to Joe, it turned out, could be overridden in certain circumstances--though he did that she was indeed alive, at least as alive as she would ever be. For only a moment he wondered if Eris could smell that decapitated corpse under their feet just as strongly as he could, before quickly deciding that it was inevitable. If anything it must have been assaulting her nose even worse, thogh she showed no sign of it. He supposed even the smell of decomposition became dulled after enough years. Lucky her. He listened to the response with interest that wasn't faked. It was hard not to be intrigued by something as old as she was. 17:24:00 Scott_Masterson He nodded at her first staement and again at the second, which made a hell of a lot of sense when he considered it. He glanced up momentarily at the looming ferris wheel, only to break eye contact for a moment, before looking back to her. " Well that makes sense. I love this 'new' life myself. far more than the one I used to have. But I've already noticed the isolation creeping in, even after just a year. I'd probably go live in some forest if there was enough 'food' around..." He cracked his neck slightly out of waking habit, eyeing Eris for a short moment. He had no idea what to make of the elder, in any respect. Sometimes she seemed insane, other times more like a lonely teenager in search of a companion. But it was, undeniably, a good thing to have < 17:24:06 Scott_Masterson one as old as her on his side, just like Aemilius and just like Chanel--at least, just like he had been with Chanel. That particulat ancient had not been since before Joe was turned, and the possibility of retribution coming from her was far from forgotten. " I guess...I guess I smoke for the same reason. Reminds me of life. Feels like I'm breathing again, I suppose. And, I just plain like it. No cancer worries now, ya know?" He again broke eye contact to look up at a clear sky almost filled with stars, and a bright moon just beginning it's nightly ascent. " So...just how old are you? Five hundred? Six? I asked Aemilius once and he just smiled and changed the subject..." He was becoming increasingly aware of those heartbeats < 17:24:14 Scott_Masterson from carnival-goers just on the opposite side of the trailer, and the hunger steadily growing in his mind just as much as his stomach. 17:26:30 [Dean_Walt] I smiled as she nodded to me and then I looked to Dior, I could hear her a mile off, even the comment about calling me 'hardly a friend' and I found that the most annoying thing. That whoever had a clue of what I was thought I was a monster or hostile. I took in a breath not letting on that I heard her comment but then she spoke in french and my tongue slipped, "God I hope not." I glanced to the side smiling and I then looked back to them with a slightly awkward expression, "Hello." I replied to Dior before nodding to Gina, "Oh that's fine! Sorry I don't mean to hold you two up, don't feel obliged to get coffee with me." I didn't bother to ask what the buisness was, because it wa snone of mine. I took the mug and smiled, "Thanks." I then watched as she put through my books and then spoke, "Ah...cool...." I then walked to the counter and sipped the coffee hearing the french once more, this time I smiled, "No I don't think so, its good coffee, not to waste." I smiled and began to drink it down before, one (c) 17:28:09 [Dean_Walt] (c) might notice that the coffee was in fact quite hot being fresh yet he drank it like it was water, before ofcourse looking to her, "Yeah sure that'd be great." I smiled and took the books in which I'd finish the coffee and crush the paper cup before tossing it int he bin as I slowly walke dout the door. (e) 17:29:40 [`Joe] The way Gina moved around the two. The way she held herself, she knew. She didnt even have to sense the other before she knew. The boy wasnt just another collage freind of her nieces. He was a vampire. She wondered what a vampire was doing with the girl. What he was after. She'd find out soon. Hopefully sooner then she had planned, seeing as Gina seemed to be rushing him through the process of checking out. Did she know what stood before her? Or was she just so eager to speak with the woman at her side. She tried to hear what they were talking about. What the line of conversation was. But with the sounds of the traffic, the heartbeats, the voices around her, she couldnt quite focus. She wanted more then anything to just go in. To walk up and face them, not caring about the consequences. But she couldnt do that to Scott. Couldnt bring a whole guild down on his head because of her actions. So instead she stood where she'd began and watched. Then a thought struck her. Maybe she could draw Gina out some way. --- 17:29:43 [`Joe] Get her to come to her instead of her going in. She just had to think of a way. As she looked around, her stomach was racked with that familar pain that occumpained the hunger. She needed to eat. She couldnt go much longer without it. Wrapping her arm around her stomach, she stepped from the door she'd been hiding in and walked away from the building, searching for her meal. It didnt take long before the man she'd choosen lay limp at her feet. Alive still, but barely. He'd live. Blood stained her pale lips before she used his clothing to clean it away. She felt better. Full. A warm from fresh feed. She could even, possibly, pass for human. If there wasnt any lights shinning directly on her. As she walked back, she moved across the street and stopped closer to the shop. Now being able to see fully inside. 17:37:18 ErisAngelus got to her feet, feeling the need to move on now. She had lingered longer then needed and wanted him to go back to Joe. Joe…her little project. “ We don’t like to share our age, it….it reminds of us everything. I just old. Too old. I know I act strange, but I can’t help it.” With that, Eris turned and walked away. No goodbye, no nothing. She didn’t just walk, she skipped. Heading right into the middle of the crowds of people. It would seem she either lost interest, or something else got her attention. Then again, this woman never made sense did she? Still, she seemed harmless enough. Maybe she was staying in the middle of people for a reason. The uneasiness had been easy to hide from Scott, but only for a while. In the end, she would rather be among those she didn’t have to hide things from. 17:38:29 Dior ~She gave nothing but the smallest of smiles towards Gina, reassured for the moment that they understood one another. She waited, patiently as Gina did the ‘waitress’ thing with Dean, it was obvious she was trying to get rid of him, but did this bother her? No, not in the slightest… in act his presence was not only making Gina uncomfortable, it made Dior feel the same. A slender brow perked ever so slightly when Dean commented on a statement he could not possibly have heard… if he were human. Which he was not. Another thing to reinforce Gina’s already suspicious mind of what he was. It was enough to make Dior question his ‘humanity’ that was for sure. “Qui, qui.” she replied simply to Gina, automatically voicing her reply in French since that was the dialect Gina had issued the statement in. She did not follow them to the counter, there was no need to in her mind. Instead she leaned ever so carefully against a near by bookshelf, not once taking her eye’s off of Gina. <c> 17:39:25 Dior ~strangely enough she felt somewhat protective of the girl… odd perhaps, but true. “Au revoir.” came her voice, like liquid silk towards Dean. Her final words to him before he vanished out the door.<f>~ (Ps. Change Q's to O's in Oui, oui.**} |

17:41:16 Kristina rolled over in protest as her body struggled to wake up it was evening now her favorite time of day, shifting she glanced at the clock an grumbled to her pillow and empty bed as she moved into sitting position. She brushed some hair of her face kicking the sheets of her bare feet hit the soft carpet floor as she grabbed her robe. She shrugged it on then stood exiting her bedroom and entering her studio where her musical instruments were situated as well as various, un-finished sheets of music. She gathered a few switching on the work lamp as she got comfortable glancing out the picture window to her right for a thoughtful moment she turned back and started to play the piano singing softly as she stopped and started adding this and that to the music, erasing here and there it needed to be perfect. She wrote her best music at night, it was an entrancing almost seductive time to her and things just, sort of flowed together. (C) 17:41:35 Kristina moved back a moment well it looked finished but you never, really knew so she began to play the whole song she had the words memorized as she made it all flow together. After a few moments she cheered to herself indeed it was done, smiling she stood moving on to shower and dress for the evening. Even though she was human she was quite a night owl really her days were her nights and her nights were her days. After she was finished she gathered her keys, IPod as she never went anywhere without it and her purse as she left the Apartment locking the door she smiled and nodded passing a few people in the halls as she pondered where, she might go this evening. She decided the Bistro would do, she’d walk after all her romance collection was all done as she’d read every book she had, she was a bit of a bookworm and desired something new. It was a cool night as she slipped on her IPod singing softly to “Disturbia” by Rhianna and doing it rather well. (E) 17:41:56 Chanel moved through the parisian streets at a fast clip, weaving in and out of traffic smoothly. As she approached a stoplight, she downshifted, pressing on the clutch and both breaks at the same time and came to a smooth stop. She leaned back in the seat of her motorcycle as she glanced aorund, checking for traffic before easing up on the clutch as she moved along. Yawning softly, she moved over to a parking spot and stopped, putting it in neutral before acking into the spot. She cut the engine, and leaned down as she turned the fuel line off, and set in the kickstand. She got off the motorcycle and rolled her shoulders as she picked at her strap and took off her helmet. She was pale by nature and condition, black tresses framing her face and her eyes. She set the helmet down and picked off her gloves. She ran her hands through her hair as she grabbed the keys and put them in her leather jacket as she mounted the steps to the little bistro/bookstore called "Blue Dream." She yawned, small canines showing for the m 17:42:15 [Chanel] moment, as she unzipped her jacket and moved in. She cast her eyes around, taking in the scents and smells of human, and let it roll through her as she moved off to find a book. (Lame post, but oh well) 17:52:17 Scott_Masterson pulled his pants pockets inside-out, dumping a fair of dirt back to the ground beneath him before his eyes fell back on Eris, and that deceptively young face of hers. All of his lingering human perceptions told him she was twenty-something, just as he was, but that constant buzz in the front of his mind left little doubt to her actual nature. Suddenly there was what could only be described as a 'pulse', in that sense that told him Joe was alive...as if it had suddenly doubled in strength or somehow become revitalized. He instinctively glanced away again, towards the origin which was far beyond the carnival's black iron perimeter gate. Somehow--though if asked he would have no idea how to explain it--he just knew that Joe had fed. Interesting. It was the closest he had ever come to telepathy, and a mental note to tell her about it was quickly made and filed away for later. 17:52:20 Scott_Masterson He slowly settled his eyes back on Eris' as she responded, and his now empty pockets were tucked back into their normal position, mostly free of dirt. He nodded an understanding gesture at her statement, and was already debating whether to apologize when she suddenly turned and skipped away towards the carnival. Her parting words again convinced him that she had been reading his mind, and he felt only momentarily guilty for not censoring his thoughts more...though his mind was quickly back onto Joe, and feeding. Not necessarily in that order. He shook his head slightly, in momentary awe of the elder. It would have been impossible not to wonder about her. What that face had seen over the years, though he quickly realized just how futile speculation was. 17:52:30 Scott_Masterson It took fifteen minutes to hail a passing cab, during which he received too many disgusted looks to count. Despite the now ruined expensive suit, it seemed the passing civilians presumed him to be homeless--not a common thing in the area judging by their reactions--though he was far more used to such looks than most would have been, thanks to his human life. Another twenty five minutes and he was back in the apartment, freshly showered, and re-dressing in another of the incredibly expensive suits from the closet. Chanel must have been incredibly wealthy...all the elders must have been. And he was already trying to imagine a way that he could have some of that money for himself. $300 left in the wallet, after that it would be back to < 17:52:36 Scott_Masterson stealing purses and wallets--not how he wanted to spend his nights. He left the apartment, stopped at a small store for a few packs of smokes and some lighter fluid for the zippo, and left on foot towards Joe. The sense told him it was only a few blocks, and he intended on feeding before he found her. 17:52:56 [Gina] The moment Dean walked out the door, she wasted no time in slipping out from behind the counter and motioning for Dior to follow her into the ever familar back room. Once they were inside, she closed and locked the door, making sure to keep anyone and everyone out. She didnt need a replay of what had happened the other day with Dex. No thanks. She moved first to the computer and turned it on, waiting for it to boot back up. "Did you look at that sample I gave you?" she asked, turning and looking back at her new found... freind? Was she a friend? Gina wasnt quite sure at the moment. What she was sure about was getting Dior, if everything turned out right, lined up in the guild. She wanted the woman protected at all times. Ecspeacially with the rash of vampires that seemed to have started frequenting the store of late. She waited for the answer while typing up some things in the computer. 17:57:29 [Dean_Walt] That was a close one, I was glad Gina seemed to want to rush me out but I knew she knew what I was, crap. I sighed and continued to move out the door when I spotted Chanel, the lady from the bar that I was seemingly in debuted to. She had warned me that my life was in danger and I still didn't know why? I mean I understand there are those that hate our kind, eck...still getting used to that. But its a general threat not as significant, perhpas I could find out more, "Oh hey Chanel!" I called to her quickly moving to stop her before she got inside the bookstore. Dior and Gina seemed to have vanished, "You don't want to go in there, can we talk?" I didn't mean to disturb her or anything but she was the only one with answers and heck I may look strange with my books but it was all I had. I looked to Chanel and then if she co-operated I'd begin to walk towards a side alley. Once there I'd look to her again, "Listen, I know you might not want to hear this but I need to ask you some questions and I need answers (c) 17:59:02 [Dean_Walt] (c) the two in there, they must know what I am and heck I'm glad I left. But I need to know the score, who wants to kill me like you sid the other night and who is a friend or someone I can turn to. I knwo it sounds pathetic but no one has told me the down low yet." I paused and glanced to either sid eof the alleyway, "Besides, those two were up to something. I know it." (e) 18:05:58 Kristina reached the Bistro and slowly removed her headphones glancing at the quiet street she disposed her IPod in her purse. She glanced around for a few moments just enjoying the quiet, the solitude as she took a deep breath. Slowly she pulled open the door, you’d think of all people she’d be completely at home around a large, mass of people. After all she traveled all over the world, sang before millions but no it was just an act. One of the main things about her job is the ability to act and move forward not backwards. With a quiet pep talk to herself she entered the Bistro letting the door close with a soft thud behind her. She might look a tad out of place her black hair was tousled as if she’d forgot to brush it and she was dressed in all black from her shoes to her tank top and leather jacket. (C) 18:06:16 Kristina turned her midnight gaze on the room moving over the various faces not sure who all was inside or in what number as she shrugged of her jacket tossing it over her shoulder, yeah she didn’t know anyone, figures right. She headed for the books to take a look her boots though heels would likely make little to no sound in the noisy room. Reaching the shelf she began to talk softly to herself trying to find the right location </I> “Hmm would romance be under R or H for Harlequin? I for Intrigue or what I suppose I’ll have to check all of them won’t I?”</I>She was not talking to any, one person though she didn’t realize her voice had risen a few octaves. (E) 18:06:50 Dior ~Of course she followed but not before throwing a glance at the woman who had just sauntered by her into the bookshop. Everyone in this city seemed to be beautiful, some of them more than others but recently she’d seen more than her share of ‘super model’ types over the last few days… then they were back in that room. Weapons galore. “Yes, I did… it wasn’t normal... in anyway at all…” she commented before thinking over her next sentence. The warning Gina had given about ‘tasting’ it had seemed serious, should she divulge the fact that she had ignored it? “It tasted… wrong, and I might add… gave me one hell of a headache. Where did you get it from?” another in a long list of questions she had in store for Gina. While waiting for answers she couldn’t help but glance over the girls shoulder, curiosity for what she was trying made her a little less than polite.<c> 18:06:52 Dior ~ “What is it you do on that computer of yours?” a vague comment to say the least, but maybe Gina was a hacker and that’s how she’d found Dior’s ‘profile’ for forensic science out.~ 18:07:46 [`Joe] Good girl, she thought as Gina disappeared into the back room with the woman. She knew that Gina was smart. That she didnt talk about the sensitive things infront of anyone. Not out in the open store. She was trained well and she couldnt wait to see how she turned out. What kind of hunter she would be. She had to check her thoughts. Had to stop herself. It would possibly fatal to her if Gina became the hunter she once was. Since she was sure the girl knew by what she had become. And it'd be her job to stop her. Shaking her head, she inched closer to the window to get a better view before she spotted Chanel. It was the woman from the apartment and something seemed to awaken in her. An anger she hadnt felt since the change. How dare she come here. How dare she come to her place after all she had done. She could kill her. A feral growl ripped through her lips as she moved away from the window and began to walk in her direction. Planning on stopping her before she could get inside. --- 18:07:50 [`Joe] She was seconds too late, as the male vampire from inside the store had seemed to already do such a thing. She waited for a moment before deciding she'd confront them both. Chanel for coming here, and Dean for being in there with her niece. Inch by inch she moved closer to the two. Within a span of a couple seconds, she was at thier sides, looking at them both. "I think it'd be best if we took this little converstation.... some place less noticable. Hunters and all." She knew Chanel would recongise her, even with the change she'd gone through. She was still very much Joe. And she was still very much not happy with the female vampire. 18:12:21 Chanel glanced up in some suprise as Dean came out of the store not soon after she was about to enter. She paused, her eyes watching his for a moment, and her eyes flickered to the door before glancing back at him. She offered a shrug, and checked the store hours for a moment. The store would be open for some time yet. "Ah..Of course." She said diplomatically as she rocked on her heels. "Where would you like to go?" She asked smoothly, her french accent visable. She moved away from the bookstore with a regretful glance even as she listened to him and followed him down to "ye old alleyway of dhoom." She chewed on her lip absently, arching a brow at him as she slumped quite unladylike against the wall and eyed him up a bit. She appeared nonchalent, but her eyes were burning into his. they must know what I am.. "You have betrayed your coven?" She prompted, her eyes focused entirely on him. "Never, upon pain of death are you to betray your coven. Or your tribe, or your race. Whatever they may believe, no one m 18:12:32 [Chanel] must know what you are upon pain of their death, or yours. " She pulled him aside, her hand moving to his upper arm to show how serious she was. She squeezed his arm, and drew him close, looking up at him with her eyes burning into his. "As far as we are concerned, everyone wants to kill us. Some even succeed. To reveal yourself is to commit yourself to your extinguishing.Do you understand?" She let out a breath and let go of him. "If someone were to find out, they could gather others. humans work off fear. Any one of them could send a stake through your heart, because they dont understand, and they dont want to.I'm not sure who you are talking about, but whatever he or she is, stay away from them.." She paused, turning her head as she heard a voice interrupt them. Her eyes narrowed, upon reflection. "You were changed?" She asked, suprised. Her lips twitched in amusement almost as if she were laughing inside. Ah, what a cruel fate that girl had in store for her. She paid no attention to the newborns anger, it 18:12:45 [Chanel] would pass with tiem. "Welcome to the fold." She raised her chin for a moment and gave her a genuinely glad smile. Unlike Joe, she wasnt angry at all. 18:16:20 [Gina] "Duh it wasnt normal. It was vampire blood. The last of what Joe had in her stores." Her fingers continued to fly over the keys, writing a report to send to the guild about the male, Dean, and what he was. She pulled pictures that had been snapped of him from the cameras spotted throughout the store and attached it to the file. However, after Dior revealed that nice little tid bit of information, her fingers stopped in thier hurried motion and the green haired girl turned to glare at the woman. "And you called me crazy! I told you not to ingest any of that. Be damned happy a headache is all you got! Crazy freaking woman. When I say something, I'm serious." Shaking her head, she went back to sending the report before she turned back and asnwered Dior. "I'm sending a report about our freind to the guild. Someone to keep an eye out for. Where there is one, there is always more. Remember that. This is also how I found out about you."--- 18:16:24 [Gina] Smiling, she pulled the womans drivers licence free from her back pocket and handed it over to her. "I snatched that the other day in your car. Sorry." Grinning she turned back, clicked send, then turned back to Dior, waiting for whatever it was she was going to say. 18:20:54 Scott_Masterson wasted no time in finding a suitable candidate; a young female tourist from the american south, judging from her accent. It was easier than normal to give her a false sense of security, perhaps due to the too-expensive suit he was wearing and the girl's slight intoxication. All it took was a charming, practiced smile and an offer to buy her drinks for the night at a club if she would accompany him. She accepted, and when they cut through an alley to reach the club on the next street he pulled her into an embrace, first kissing her lightly and then sliding a hand over her mouth with ease as the fangs popped out with a small 'schlikt' sound. He was careful not to spill any this time, something that took more effort than he was used to, and ignored the steadily-weakening punches to his chest and face, and even an unexpected gnee to the groin--though the latter did elicit a small 18:20:56 Scott_Masterson grunt from him. As a vampire, he found that pain was both more intense and somehow dulled from it's human counterpart...maybe some part of him had even begun enjoying it in the past year. The feeding euphoria didn't hurt either. He had to force himself to stop before draining her to the point of death. Her petite body simply didn't have enough blood to fill his veins to a completely nourishing level, though it was close enough. He took $50 from her purse and left her leaning against the alley wall before heading back onto the sidewalk and towards Joe. He was already trying to decide how he would explain his absence the previous night, and nothing was coming to mind. She might have thought that he'd had a change of heart and left her, perhaps would even be mad, and there was no reasonable explanation to give her. He smoked as he walked, deciding that < 18:21:03 Scott_Masterson the truth would have to do; he had simply gone out for 'food' and would not have made it back by sunrise. He sowed slightly when that familiar sense was added into the mix--one of the ancients, not far from Joe, and somehow he knew it was not Eris again. The sense was different, though he would have been hard pressed to describe how. His pace stopped completely when he spotted his destination; The Blue Dreams. The same place he had first seen Joe, and where she now was. He was instantly suspicious. Had she taken advantage of his absence to visit, and/or make secret plans with her hunter friends? Somehow he found the latter hard to believe, though nothing was definite. He came to rest against the building's front wall, just oout of view of the window and listenin gintently for Joe's voice, or any that were recognizable. 18:21:07 [Scott_Masterson] <E> 18:22:26 [Dean_Walt] I was glad that for the most part Chanel seemed to be complient. As we reached the alleyway I spoke and she mentioned betraying the coven I gave her a confused look, "No! But she knows I don't know how, maybe because i got hit by a car and walked away, but other then that all I did was hire books and drink coffee, but she was talking strangely to this other women etc. Look their no threat but I have no idea what a coven is let alone why I am affiliated with it! Look I don't have a mentor or a teacher so....a little help." My eyes bore into hers as much as her did mine, "Hopefully I'll wake up before that happens." I then felt her grip on my arm glancing to her hand and then back to her shrugging her hand off my arm I'd stand firm, "I get that part, its why I covered for it, but when you get hit by a car, you don't lay around waiting for an ambulance to confirm you didn't get hurt in anyway do you?" I then listened on and it made sense, but my heart was still a vital spot by the sounds of things, must (c) 18:24:11 [Dean_Walt] (c) still be alive in some way then. I suddenly glanced to the side at a new arrival that looked familiar, but I could tell she was one of us now, "You were changed..." I parroted Chanel as I looked to Joe, "I'm sorry..." Unlike Chanel I was quickly learning that excepting what I was now did not exactly make my thrilled, and I sympathized. I nodded in agreement to Joe's suggestion, "Sure, but where?" (e) 18:28:23 Dior ~Sure, the first thing she should have done was jump on the word ‘vampire’… but instead Gina got: “You stole my driving licence! You little…shit!” harsh as the words were her tone was nothing but playful, amusement tinged her apricot hued features and even the slightest hint of a smile tugged the corner of un-painted lips. “Alright, so… say I believe you, what now? Vampires… if I believe what I’ve read, aren’t evil. They’re just different… to be feared for sure… but aren’t they just slightly dead humans?” she’d been pondering that question alone in her hotel room for some hours. It seemed to her that hating something for being different was… well, wrong. No matter how different they were, surely vampires still had their souls? “You ran over a person… and threw water in someone’s face for no reason, that does make you a little more crazy that me.” and who is Joe? How do you know about vampires? Why haven’t I found this out before? <c> 18:28:35 Dior Why isn’t it all over the news papers? What the hell is ‘the guild’ came another barrage of questions but for now those remained silently tugging at the back of her mind.<f>~ 18:30:35 Kristina finally found the book she’d been looking for well actually she found a few however it didn’t take her long to see she was pretty much alone in the store. Sighing books in hand she left that section and glanced towards a comfortable seat at the front of the store. She moved in that direction her body was tense it was eerie for places to be so quiet this time of night. She plopped down on the chair selecting a book and opened it beginning to read absently nibbling on her nails her head bowed in concentration. She’d buy the books obviously whenever she figured out whom to buy them from as she crossed one leg over the other settling back into the chair her stuff a few inches away from her. It wasn’t a bad book a tragic, love story kind of book then again love was pretty much exactly that a never ending, never dyeing tragedy, typical really. 18:35:32 [`Joe] The alley would work for now. For what she had to say. She didnt plan on staying for too long. She had to get back to the apartment before Scott had found out she'd even come around this place again. She didnt want to defy his trust. But she just had to see. Had to know for herself. It wasnt like she broke any rules and contacted them, was it? Shaking her head, her eyes narrowed on Chanel at first, before she looked to Dean. His sympathy and apology were un-needed and un-wanted. She liked what she was now. Even if it went against everything she once was. "Yes. I was. And I'm not sorry. I actually quite enjoy it. But that isnt why I saught you both out." It wasnt and she knew that. There was plenty of time to talk with Chanel. Plenty of time to learn from the elder if that was what she was to do. Right now, she needed to get the warning out before they both made a horrible, deadly mistake. "Listen. Don't get me wrong. Either of you. But that place probably isnt the best place for either of you.-- 18:35:36 [`Joe] There are nothing but hunters, well trained, hunters. In there. Ones that know what we are simply by the shade of our skin, the beauty of us. And they will not hesitate to end you. Please, heed my warning and don't go in there." The concern, however, wasnt for the vampires like she had protrayed. No, it was for the people inside that building. Her freinds, her family. It was thier safty she was worried about. It was all she had to say to them. "Hopefully you and I will be able to sit and talk longer." She wouldnt take up any more of the elders time and with that, she turned on her booted heal and walked away from them. She'd felt Scott near. It was odd how that happened. A connected, she presumed, as he was her sire. Exiting the alley, she stopped before him and offered him the most sincer smile she could. She didnt say anything. Just stood there, hands in her pocket and waited to see if he had anything to say. 18:44:15 Chanel listened to Dean even as she kept her eyes on Joe. Dean wasnt a danger, but until sh eknew the other's intentions, she wouldnt budge even an inch. Not in her city anyway. She glanced at Dean for just a moment. "Minimize your risk, and you'll have less problems." She of course heard out the newborn, Joe. She rocked on her heels for a moment, thinking of a hundred other things she could be doing. "If you have come to warn us, then you already know everything about them. If they are a problem then kill them before they kill you, Joe." All this, she already knew about hunters but she hadnt been interessted in the hunters, ift hat was what they were. No, she had been interested in getting a new book to read. She offered the other a gracious smile. "Thank you for the info, I am pleased." Okay, so that didnt sound the best, or even right in her book, but she was out of "wise" things to say at the moment. She walked Joe walk down and disappear out of the alleyway before turning to Dean. She eyed a stray hair 18:44:27 [Chanel] that hung over his eyes and absently reached up to brush it out of his crystalline gazes. "Heed her advice and stay out of there. At least until I know more, please?" She often found that courtesy was always the best way to talk to someone, as she let her hand drop to her side. She could feel the other vampire, Scott as well, but she did nothing to stop his eavesdropping. It meant nothing to her. (Lamest post evah. I'm really tired so i'm going to go to bed soon.) 18:44:43 [Gina] A smile tugged at her lips as Dior went off about the licence instead of the vampires at first. "Jeez, I had to make sure I wasnt hanging out some physco woman would wanted to kill me. I'm sure you did the same thing with me, officer." Grinning, she leaned against the desk and crossed her arms. She listened to the questions before shaking her head. "No. Vampires are pure evil. Not some nice dead person that wants to chat it up with you. They want you blood and that is what drives them. I've heard that the need is worse then being addicted to the worst drug out there. They don't have a soul. And they arent freindly. They'll kill you before a thought crosses thier mind about it." Turning, she dug through the desk drawer before she pulled out a small, leather bound book. "Read this. It'll explain everything you need to know. Everything there is to know about a vampire. How to kill them. How to tell if a person is one." Once she took the book, she stood from the desk and moved over to a=== 18:44:47 [Gina] blank wall. "I want to show you something. Now that you believe that I'm not lieing. And it was you that ran that guy over, I was just pressin the gas." Sticking her tongue out, she flipped a switch and watched as the wall moved open to show a set of stairs that led downward. Grabbing a flashlight, she flicked it on and headed down the stairs, assuming Dior would follow. The moment she reached the bottum, she moved over to the wall and flipped open a panel. After flipping a couple switches, the entire space illuminated to reveal a training room of sorts. Weapns, more then what had been upstairs, were cased around the entire place. Equiptment for weight training and conditioning were placed around the floor. Off the back was two cage like cells, open and empty. She turned to Dior with a smile. "This is where I train. You can use it too." 18:54:38 Scott_Masterson leaned nonchalantly against the wall just beside the mouth of the alley, listening intently and still trying to place the 'energy signature' to the vampire it belonged to. It could have been Aemilius, though he wasn't sure. The sound of Joe's voice was instantly comforting in some way, and he instantly realized two things as her words flowed...the first, that he had become incredibly used to having it around in the last week and had missed it more than he would have thought...and two, that his fears of her still working in secret with her former acquaintances were entirely unfounded. He exhaled smoke in what might have been interpreted as a sigh to any passerbys who just happened to be looking his way. The revelation was good news, and he had to feel somewhat stupid for having suspected her at all. Of course she couldn't be working with the hunters anymore. 18:54:41 Scott_Masterson None of them would have trusted her and, presumably, they would attack her on site now. He found himself feeling like a jealous boyfriend for a moment, and was glad the fears had never been vocalized to her. Still, the conversation left no doubt that at least one of those voices belonged to someone she had known in life and he was only slightly pertured by the discovery, before deciding it was nothing to worry about. And then another voice spoke, and he knew instantly it was Chanel. By association he guessed that she knew he was there, yet was not approaching. This was good. The possibility of her angered self hunting him down had hung over his head for days, and her lack of action could only mean the news wasn't as bad as he had presumed. He found himself silently thanking some fictional god that not all vampires were as prone to rage as he was. 18:54:49 Scott_Masterson He ehard the approaching footsteps and began to think he had misjudged Chanel's ambivalence before Joe appeared, looking just as ravishing as ever in a black skirt and fishnet stockings. If he ahd posessed a heart, it would have skipped a beat at the sight. He said nothing, just slid a hand to the small of her back and kissed her gently on the lips, an adoring stare lingering for a long moment before he spoke... " I missed you. Didn't mean to be out all night, but I kind of ran out of time and couldn't get back in time. I heard Chanel in there...she say anything? About me?" He did not doubt that the elder could hear the words even as he spoke them, but allowing her to know he had been concerned could only help him, even if it was in a small way--showing enough respect to fear her. 18:54:54 [Scott_Masterson] <E. 18:56:30 [Dean_Walt] I gave an inquisitive look to Joe as she spoke, "You like it?" Wow it was then that it all just came crashing down on me, I was naive and stupid. The whole time I trie to get Joe spared from this fate, she loves it. Wow, what a little hypocrite, gosh I wish all of them saw it liek that. I felt stupid at that moment and all I could say is, "Of course you do..." She then mentioned that was not why she was there and I listened on, "Figures...I was just in there." I thought on it a moment as I remembered Gina said she'd like me to see ehr again plus I had the books. I didn't quite get what Joe had said before she took off and vanished around the corner, "Huh." I looked back to Chanel as she looked to me and absently reached for my hair that hung over my eyes and brushed it back, my eyes then locked on hers in wonder, "Okay..." I responded in almost a whisper as I stared into her eyes a moment longer, "Who are you....really..." It was hitting me harder then ever, "I just realized this whole time I've been (c) 18:58:07 [Dean_Walt] (c) looking for answers and here you are standning right in front of me...I feel stupid, and meanwhile all I could do is hire these stupid books..." I tossed the books to the ground and gave a sigh, "Ah look I didn't mean to hold you up or anything I just...I..." I paused for a moment thinking as I looked to her, "...I don't know what to do..." (e) 18:58:58 Dior ~Maybe Dior was the first of a new breed? She assumed Gina had a reason for hating vampires like she did… hating them to the point of hunting them apparently, but Dior had no such reasons. No murdered parents or slaughtered siblings to fuel any distrust towards them… them… that’s what Joe had said she had joined. A ‘switch’ flicked in her mind, could it be that this Joe had not been wearing fake fangs? And if so… she could hardly consider them all blood thirsty murderers… Joe hadn’t harmed her. “Thanks..” she purred before taking hold of the book, a small gasped intake of breath was her first reaction to the hidden passage way but that was soon replaced with curiosity. It seemed this ‘guild’ were well equipped. “No garlic I see.” she commented almost sarcastically while flicking through the hand written ‘vampire slayer bible’. A training room? Hm. “A little basic, who pays for all this… &, I think I need some fresh air and a drink…this is making my head spin.” <c> 18:59:06 Dior ~that was the truth she, for all intents and purposes, was taking the news quite well. But inside it was beginning to make her feel a little queasy. <f>~ 19:01:57 Kristina got bored then she’d been patient she really had but regardless it was getting late as she placed her books to the side and shrugged she’d return another time. She shrugged on her jacket and gathered her things exiting the store with nothing more then what she’d entered with as she put on her IPod nodding to those, if any scattered outside as she turned heading for home her boots clicking softly now on the nearly vacant streets. (BBL) 19:07:24 [`Joe] It was refreshing to know that he wasnt mad. That he didnt hold any grudges about her being here. That he was just happy to see her. She smiled, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. His hand around her back felt good. Like coming home. She hadnt realized how much she'd missed simply being with him until his lips had found hers. Was this how it was spose to be between sire and his fledging. "You don't have to explain." she said simply, smiling once more. She was just happy to see that he hadnt ran off, sick of her presence already. Not that she had really thought that. She knew that he had had his own way of doing things before she'd came along and she didnt expect him to change any of that now that she was around. "I hope you were atleast comfortable. Where ever you were." Reaching up, she tucked a piece of what seemed to be freshly washed hair behind his ear and smiled. It amazed her that such small motions couple make her seem happy. Happier then she'd been in ages.--- 19:07:27 [`Joe] There was nothing to worry about anymore. Nothing to fret over. Chanel hadnt seemed to upset that she'd been changed. And she didnt even really seemed angered. "No. She didnt say anything. She seemed a little shocked that I was changed, but she didnt mention anything about it. I think we're safe." She may have been wrong in that assumption. But the lack of anger she had senced in Chanel was comforting. Making her feel at ease with everything. "Have you feed?" His color was fresh, but still looked a little washed out, like he hadnt gotten enough. If he hadnt, she'd suggest that they get him something before the continued with anything else that night. Leaning in, she pressed her lips to the corner of his softly before grabbing his hand and heading away from The Blue Dreams. Forever. 19:15:36 [Gina] "Garlic is a myth. It doesnt work and simply stinks. You'll be surprised at how many vampires actually like the smell of it. Holy water and crosses, however, work. Or can work. The user must have the upmost faith in the lord. If not, it's simply another trinket that they laugh at." Shrugging her shoulders, she looked around the room before nodding. Flipping the lights back off, she led Dior back up the stiars, and through the room, pointing her towards the table. She herself slipped behind the counter and grabbed a couple of glasses. Filling one with soda and one with wine, she grabbed a couple pieces of cheesecake before setting it down and sitting in one of the chairs. "You need to be careful Dior. Need to watch where you go, or who you go with. That book will explain what to look for. But you can never be too careful. The last thing I'd want to see you do, is get hurt." Her thoughts turned to Joe then. She was one of them. Something she hadnt really processed. --- 19:15:41 [Gina] Something she hadnt thought fully about until now. Before she realized it, a tear or two slipped down her cheek, being quickly dashed away before she lowered her head and looked into the fizzing soda. 19:20:15 Chanel knew that Scott had been there, but it was neither the time nor the place to discuss what had happened. She knew there were better ways to do it. She silently listened as the two footprints disappeared among the human throng, and then she turned her gaze back to Dean for a moment. He wasnt her fledgling by any means, but she knew someone would have tot ake responsiiblity for him while he was floundering so much. She let out a breath and chuckled, her eyes once more showing their amusement. "Ah, let me introduce myself.." She said with a flourish as she extended her hand. "My name is Chanel Del Vio, childe of the elder Aemilius, and pretty much one of the older ones in this city. I was born, and died during the french revolution. but don't you be calling me old now.." She said with a smile as she waggled her finger. She glanced at the books he dropped and she leaned down, picking them up one by one. She held them in her hands like they were nothing as she flipped open the first book and scanned through he pag 19:20:33 [Chanel] pages. She glanced up at him through her lashes. "Never do away with books. Books are windows to the mind, and where anything lies, there is always a grain of truth in them. Knowledge is power, even if its all rubbish.." She said as she tilted her head at one particular vampire book. She shrugged and closed it, handing the books back if he would take them. She studied him for a while longer. "Regardless of however you may think or feel, you are a vampire. And you must feed on blood to live. Sure, you may be able to do other things too, but you are no longer human and never will you go back to that state. So pinching yourself to make yourself wake up just isnt going to work. Now, to stay alive, you need to be focused. Interesting read, but forget everything you know, or think you know.." She said pointing to the books. "Trust your judgement, and trust me." She paused, eyeing him. "I could teach you what you need to survive, but you would have to be able to follow my lead, and do as I say. Can you do that? 19:20:43 [Chanel] Would you accept me?" 19:28:50 Scott_Masterson stared as deeply into those too-perfect eyes of hers as ever, flicking the half-finished cigarette away behind her back as Joe spoke. The smell of fresh blood on her breath was intoxicating, and it took effort not to cut her off in mid-sentence with another kiss, though he managed to avoid it. He felt like apologizing to her, for his suspicions about her motivations and for leaving the previous night with no explanation, though he knew he wouldn't. Apologizing was not something he did routinely in life, nor as a vampire--sometimes even when he should have. Her first response rought a smile to his face. The thought of their relationship becoming nothing but a fickle human, where excuses and questions were constantly being given and posed, was not one he looked forward to. This was far deeper than some jeaous highschool romance, and the knowledge that < 19:28:52 Scott_Masterson she did not expect his presence at all times was more of a comfort than he let on. Trying to explain the necessity of occasional solitude to her would have been difficult. He smiled again when she spoke, and only debated for a moment whether to reply truthfully or not. " I slept in the ground. I do that a lot, actually. Safest place to be. And quiet. The bugs take some getting used to though." He wondered how the behavior would seem to her. It had been a natural instinct for him in the first days he was a vampire, but he was very aware that most of his kind did not share the behavior. Just another on a list of oddities he seemed to posess, the foremost being his unusual fangs. The response in regards to Chanel brought another smile to his face, as the last bit of tension-filled weight was lifted from his shoulders. It was not a complete 'pardon' for the behavior, 19:28:58 Scott_Masterson but was as far from the death sentence he ahd been fearing as it could get. He kissed her lightly again, this time on the cheek, out of relief--as well as what seemed to be a constant want to do it. Anyone would posess that particular desire, that was evident from her face alone, not to mention that body. " I did, yes. I somehow felt it when you fed earlier, too. It was the weirdest thing. I could barely sense you, but when you fed it got stronger." He let his tongue run over his teeth out of habit, tasting faintly the blood still lingering there efore he continued... " I saw Eris again earlier. She seemed...disturbingly normal today. It was weird. I think I like her now. She seemed almost... vulnerable, in a strange way." He stopped speaking only because he was not used to doing so much of it, even with Joe, and just stared as was becoming habit. 19:29:03 [Scott_Masterson] <E> 19:31:16 [Dean_Walt] I watched her for a moment as she seemed to take an interest, whether it be out of sympathy, pity or amussment. As she introduced herself I nodded, "So there are many others of us in this city?" She seemed approachable and funny as she joked with me about calling her old though I knew it was actually a warning as well. I smiled to her as she picked up the books and looked through them. I listened on as she gave me some advice and I took the books from her as she held them out to me, "I'd rather not have to return these books having heard what Joe said..." I smiled and its then that it dawned on me, "I was a vampire and nothing was going to change that now." I took in a breath, "So...I can't ever go back to what I was before...no waking up...no going back to my life...nothing." She then explained on and I nodded, "I see..." I paused and looked to her, "I trust you." I then thought it over for a moment before giving another nod, "Yeah I can do that, thank you." I then looked down to my palm, "I have these...(c) 19:32:14 [Dean_Walt] (c) ....abilities...that I can sort of...tap into...that's the vampire thing I guess..." (e) 19:39:28 ErisAngelus opened her eyes to the world of that in which she felt herself always for far away from. Unlike many, Eris felt more at home in the mass of people than anywhere else. She craved eyes on her. She longed to hear a stranger whisper sweet nothings in her ear. Yes, she had always been a woman of need, and goddess of temptation. Now was no different. As her hands were shoved in the pockets of her coat, she looked like anyone else. Eris was like a cat. One who sits beside the fish bowl and watched the little thing swim round and round for hours but never striking. No, not until it was perfectly sure it wouldn’t miss. Those dark eyes, bright like a doe, and earthy rich in their hues passed from face to face until she was sure she knew no one. Paris was starting to lose its sparkle and she wondered how much longer she would fiddle with this before she grew bored and moved on. Her mind raced, thinking about her plans. They were working well enough, bringing to light things. One must always force the hand sometimes. ~ 19:39:29 Chanel gave a shrug. "There are some. Some are part of groups. Clans, if you will. They adhere to a leader. That leader controls things. Run things. Others are solitary, and keep to themselves. So yes, there are others. I'm not sure at the official count, but there are many." She explained softly. She shook her head. "No, nothing is going to change that, aside from a second death. You are stronger and swifter than humans now, and their lives are easily broken. They are weak creatures, but their minds are strong. Remember that. What they cant accomplish themselves, they usually find a way to compensate. As far as we are concerned, your human life is over and has been for some time. But if i had told you before today, you wouldnt have believed me." She gave a shrug, and began walking down the alley, trusting that he would follow her. She glanced back at him and jerked her head. "I will explain more, but for now we hunt." She gave him a small smile. "And dont get squeamish. Even the youngest babe learns to eat. You 19:39:44 [Chanel] You must too if you are to survive. Now come." She would wait to see if he followed, and then she was gone. |

19:39:45 [ErisAngelus] How can the world remember it’s mistake unless it is reminded first. It would seen she had regained some of herself. She knew Ares was gone now, and she was once again safe from him. Once again able to pretend that this was all a game and no one knew the wiser. Holding her lower lip in her teeth, she wondered why it was telling other just how old she was bothered her, or at least how old she thought she was. One can never be sure of dates in those days. Those eyes looked up to catch the sign for Blue Dreams and she paused. There, one of the girls from the other night. The one who had been in the street. Well, of course Eris couldn’t just walk by could she. Nope! Going inside, she let the people around her just fade as her focus came on them. “ Hello darlings.” It was like she had known them for years. The old goddess stood over their table looking down at the cheesecake , enjoying it’s sweet smell and seeming to forget she was just standing there. 19:46:16 Dior ~Following once again? Lately she seemed to be doing a lot of that.. oh well. Her request had been granted, they sat now in the open room above. Where not so long ago there had been a vampire, strange… Gina seemed to attract them like she had a vampire magnet screwed into her skull. “Hm… there is no god, but if I believe hard enough in the fake one, would that also work?” her Atheism showed through at this point, never had she believed in a higher being… religion to her was nothing more than man made stories, lovely as they were….they were still lies. “Thanks.” she purred, hoping to hell that the wine was intended for her, by ‘drink’ she had certainly meant something stronger than soda. “Alright… the evidence is undoubtedly there… but I do not believe in your fear… there must be some of these…er.. ‘people’ who are not as vicious as you make out.” well, look at that! She’d avoided using the V word in public, secrecy was important or so she presumed.<c> 19:46:23 Dior ~ “Your friend Joe for instance…” yet before she’d even finished the sentence Gina had the tell tale signs of tears rising in those pretty eye’s of hers. Suddenly Dior felt guilty, it couldn’t be easy losing a friend the way Gina obviously had. “…At least she’s not really dead, would you rather her that than what she is now?” this would perhaps come across as cruel in Gina’s eyes, but Dior knew no different. For her… Vampirism was new, something to be explored and maybe examined under a microscope some more. She wasn’t scared of them, nor hateful towards them. Yet. That all could change so quickly, especially with Eris’s appearance… well, Gina would certainly think this dangerous but Dior wasn’t so sure. Besides, Eris just seemed like a normal… slightly strange… and vaguely familiar woman, who happened to be standing right beside their table. <c> 19:46:25 Dior ~“Hello…..” she couldn’t quite put her finger on where she’d seen this woman before but it occurred to her that there may be a reason for the interruption. Gina was a waitress, wasn’t she? Maybe the woman wanted something to eat.~ 19:47:44 [`Joe] Before, when she was human, she had this odd belief that vampires had slept underground. In coffins. Away from the prying eyes of humans. She was surprised to find that this was not the case. Vampires, she has found, were just like humans, except the being alive part. She smiled when he told her where he had slept. It was to know that he didnt mind volenteer the information though she hadnt asked. She didnt expect him too, which was the great thing. Just as he didnt expect a reason for why she had came here. She was sure he'd already knew. But it was nice that he didnt press her about. It angered her that those human thoughts and actions still lingered in her. Drove her to almost do something so irrevicably stupid. "I want to do that once. See what it's like." She didnt know why she felt that way. It was just something she wanted to try. To see if she liked it. Sure, sleeping in the ultra plush bed was nice. But the danger that it posed was very real in her mind. She didnt want this life to end. -- 19:47:48 [`Joe] Now that she'd gotten it. She nodded when he'd mentioned that he'd felt her when she'd fed. It made sence. He was her sire. They were connected. "Eris. Really? She have anything important to say?" The entire time she spoke, she eyes held him. His face. Studied it almost. Memorizing the planes and angels. Like she could ever forget. "So what do you want to do tonight?" 20:01:06 [Gina] Shaking her head, she pushed the thought of Joe from her mind for the moment. There was use in crying over something she couldnt change. Not yet anyways. "No. That won't work. Your best bet is to stick with the conventional weapons." She made sure to keep her tone hushed incase prying ears were listening. Lifting her drink, she took a sip before setting it aside and lifting her fork. At Dior's question, however, she sat it back down, shaking her head. "Some know how to show restraint. But those are much older. Stronger. And they tend to be more cruel in thier actions when they show them." She tried her best to explain in a way that didnt have people looking over to them like she was crazy. When she mentioned Joe, her eyes seemed to narrow on the woman across from. "Yes... I'd rather her be dead then to be one of them." It was how she felt. Her freind. Mentor. Sister for all intents and purposes, deserved better then what she had gotten. --- 20:01:10 [Gina] She deserved to have a life that wasnt what it was now. She was going to be something, Gina knew that. Something special. And now she was never going to reach that potential. It was a waste. When the woman walked up to the table and siad her hello's, Gina lifted her eyes and took her in. She was beyond beautiful, that was for sure. "Hello. Can I help you?" She wasnt on shift, but she wasnt going to turn someone away just because of it. Smiling her usual bright smile, she stood, prepared to run for whatever it was the woman would want. 20:09:23 Scott_Masterson simultaneously studied Joe's face, listened to her response, and tried to follow what he heard Chanel explaining to the unknown male in the alley, one who was obviously a new vampire just like he was. The ancient explained what sounded like simple concepts, though he himself had never had the advice relayed to him--though lacking a proper Sire explained that. The thought led to wondering how the hell he was going to be a sire to Joe. He had little knowledge to pass on, and indeed her former occupation almost certainly meant that she knew more than he did. The idea was only slightly disturbing, before he decided that it was irrelevant--they did not posess what seemed to be the traditional 'master/fledgling' relationship, and he was more than fine with that. He gave an obviously surprised expression when she said she < 20:09:27 Scott_Masterson wanted to try sleeping in the ground. He had imagined her giving a look of revulsion upon hearing the news, and wasn't sure why for a moment until it became obvious--it was hard not to think of her as human, on some basic level. Just like the vampire Eris. Though perhaps it was also partly due to his lingering human instincts, the ones that expected females to be afraid of insects and getting dirty, or at least not to seek them out. But despite what his eyes told him, she was most definitely vampire. He responded after a light smirk, losing the conversation in the alley as he did..." The first time is strange...you feel claustrophobic, not being able to 'breathe' when you want...and the sound of worms is...weird. But after a while, it's more comfortable than anything. For me, at least. You might hate it." 20:09:34 Scott_Masterson He began to respond to the comment about Eris and then stopped talking as a young human couple passed them on the sidewalk, taking advantage of the momentary silence just to stare at her, as was becoming habit. " Nothing speific, no. But I think age definitely gets to 'us' after a while. The one who made me...she seemed to be a little on the crazy side too. Never got to ask her anything though." He unintentionally gave somewhat sad look before he erased it, and spoke again... " Let's go to Le Romantica. We can blood in the VIP section and watch humans pretending to be vampires." He smiled slightly and waited for her to reply, a second hand joining the first on the small of her back. 20:09:39 [Scott_Masterson] <E> 20:12:59 ErisAngelus let her eyes drift up from the dessert, she found Dior’s face and offered a friendly smile. This vampire was such a social creature, longing to be something to someone, something someone would remember. It was her curse to be forgotten, to be passed and overlooked. No one remembered anything by a beautiful face. Perhaps that’s why she was so bold. Either that or she really just didn’t bother herself with worrying about following formalities. The old vampire just smiled and looked like she was pleased with herself. “ I’m just hovering.” She answered. How odd. The woman knowing what she was doing would cause them discomfort but not caring. She moved, seating herself next to Dior without asking. She eyed them both, taking them in. “ I am the reason Joe is what she is..” Her voice was very serious, and held no hit of regret. Eris had not made the choice, she had only pointed it out. Others, including Joe had acted on it. She wondered how the people at the table would take that, the woman who, as she was ~ 20:13:09 Reign moved through the crowded Paris streets quietly; her small form going unnoticed for the most part, save a male that would give her a wink or a smile every so often, but who was complaining. Those small winks here and smiles there made her life style so much easier to suceed in. As she continued down the sidewalk, she would slide into an alley way. Stopping to rest against one of the two buildings that created the dark and damp alley, Reign would smile to herself. Not her normal, seductive smile; no this was more of a smirk, an innocent sort of smirk. The kind you see on a zombie child right before she rips into your skin and devours your body within moments. Oh, it was that time of the night again. That distict urge always came about the same time every night, the urge to feel living warmth in her hands, taste sweet kisses, and swallow innocent unknowings as she sent another soul to the heavens above. Pushing herself off the wall, Reign would move back into the streets, her white blue eyes searching for<c> 20:13:10 [ErisAngelus] in, Eris had overheard talking about Joe. She know who it was, she could smell it on them. Did the vampire not care that she was possibly putting herself in danger? No, she had little care about anything to do with her actual wellbeing. 20:19:52 Reign next play mate and dinner. 'Oh how time did fly when you just didn't die. As the thoughts ran thought Reigns mind, she had to smirk. That came innocent yet horrifing smirk. Her ears would over hear the pair of what seemed to be vampires speaking of a club, a club full of humans that want to play. "Well, puppet, playing is where I'm at. this was an old habit of hers. Talking to herself that is, and normally, not talking about anything that made any sence to anyone but herself. naturally, after 200 years on this same planet, she would have some small quirk to herself. 20:20:02 [Reign] <E> 20:24:11 [`Joe] She listened intently as he explained what it would be like to sleep unground. What she was to expect. And it still didnt detour from wanting to atleast try. "I've spent my life thinking vampires slept in coffins or some such. And now that I am one. I'd like to try the some such, even if it is uncomfortable." Oh, she had no plans whatsoever about doing it herself. She fully expected him to be right there with her throughout the whole experience. Smiling, she nodded. She'd heard about the vampire club in life and had never gone there. That was like the lamb walking into the wolves den. Something even she hadnt been willing to risk. But now. Now that she was one of them, it seemed like and exciting idea. To actually get to see the inside of the place other then standing outside and waiting for what could be her next possible kill. The temptation was too much. "We should." A nod followed the statement, however, she didnt find her feet moving.---- 20:24:15 [`Joe] She was even more so frozen in place when that second hand joined the first. She wasnt sure what it was about him that had drawn her in. Even before, their first meeting in the alley, she'd been drawn in. Even knowing what he was. She was still awed by him. It was ten times more aweing now. Her eyes found his for the breifest of moment before she found herself pressing into him, those lusious lips of hers finding his own again. However, she didnt pull away as quick as they had before. They lingered there, her tongue moving out to slip over his bottum lip. A sound that could only be described as a purr emmitted before she pulled away a couple moments later. "We should go if we're going to go." 20:26:48 Dior ~Now was her time to listen, not all of them were incapable of restraining themselves…. And if that was so, maybe it was possible to ‘help’ the others. Blood was like a drug? What would synthetic blood do? So many things raced around her brain, she was more than curious about this now. She had to go find one… which, knowing her luck, would take months maybe even years to accomplish, or so she thought. In her mind, she hadn’t met any in the full twenty six years of life she’d had already. Who was to say seeking them out would be easy or even possible? “Really?... Joe appeared… happy enough when we met, death becomes her it seems.” she whispered, so quietly that only Gina would hear… unless of course, Eris was a vampire. Shame that. Although, her attentions were soon dragged away from Gina and back to the woman who stood… no, sat beside her. “Make yourself comfortable why don’t ya…” was that mockery which tugged at the edges of her tone? Aye, it was, but hey… <c> 20:26:50 Dior ~Eris was sitting too close and without permission. “Excuse me, but do ya mind pissing off, we’re in the middle of so----” her slightly rude sentence was cut off mid way. ‘I am the reason Joe is what she is..’ well, that was an odd thing to say…and she couldn’t help but glance to Gina, almost worried for how the girl might react. Dangerous place to be this bistro.<f>~ 20:29:10 Violent_Harvest For some reason or another, the typical stereotype of the "dark stranger" didn't seem to apply to this man in particular as he shuffled down the street in a hypnotic, rhythmic swaying. Paris, France was not a place for the conventional, but rather the haven for the eccentric. The man's eyes barely glistened, a sheen of blackness off the dim litted streets of a less than riveting part of the city. He was humming; it was a low, brazen sound, constant and unwavering, very low and almost inaudible if not for its persistence. As he made his way down the sidewalk, stopping under a pale, half-burned lamplight as it reflected glumly off his sharpened, chiseled\ features. His breathing was erratic and came in quick spasms, although he didn't seem labored to breathe, but rather appeared to enjoy the rushes of air across his skin when he became motionless under the sickly yellow lamp. <C> 20:29:15 [Violent_Harvest] :He was well clothed, dressed in a classically European fashion in a crisp white shirt, black slacks, and a breasted jacket. Something was off about certain parts of his appearance, though it was hard to place such faults in such low lighting. His collar was spattered and torn at the cuff where it met his shoulder, his bare skin protruding through a large perforation in the fancy get-up. His fists were clenched tightly, quivering with the pressure that was being applied to them; his knuckles were ghost white, and there a very slow, steady dripping of blood from his right fist. It spattered on the sidewalk slowly, and he appeared not to notice, his black gaze focused intently on the broken light above him. <E> 20:35:18 [Gina] She didnt want to hear what Dior was saying. She didnt want to believe that Joe could ever be happy with what she was now. She was a hunter. That had to have some effect. Or had her best freind changed so much that she wouldnt recongise her anymore? She would have to find out, no matter how dangerous it could be. Huffing out a breath, she narrowed her eyes on Dior for a breif moment before her attentions turned back to the beautiful stranger. The mention of her just hovering only recieved and 'oh', the action baffling the green haired girl. Shaking her head, she blinked a little as Eris sat next to Dior without invitation. And even more so when Dior got a little snippy. "Be...." She never did get to finish her statement as the words that slipped from the womans mouth had her shutting up quicker then anything had for the longest time. "Your a fucking liar. Get the hell out of here now. Just go. Your not wanted." She didnt know what she would do if the woman remained in that seat, --- 20:35:22 [Gina] but she could almost garuntee that it wouldnt be pretty, nor wise on her part. That much she did know. 20:39:04 Scott_Masterson let his ears drift to the Black Sabbath playing in a passing car for a moment, a welcome respite from the music one usually encountered on the Paris streets. His eyes remained locked with Joe's, their identical blue colors almost seeming to mirror eachother if any passerbys glanced their way. At that moment, he was re-convinced that changing had been the right thing to do, albeit an unplanned event. In life, her eyes had been filled with...well...nothing. She had built such a thick wall around herself that nothing had been behind them, just a steely gaze that betrayed hatred and years of pain resulting in a jaded glare. Now, however...in a twist of fate that could only be categorized as ironic...they had life in them. In ways she came across as more human than she originally had. He considered explaining that to her, decided he would never be able to put it into words, and decided not to. Instead he just listened to her reply < 20:39:07 Scott_Masterson with an unblinking stare that jumped between her eyes and lips sporadically. He had to admit, the idea of being underground with her was intriguing. After all, she deserved the silence and potential comfort as much as he did--in fact he was surprised he had not stumbled across her covering her ears since the change, simply because of the disorientation vampiric hearing could cause. But she hadn't. Or at least, hadn't mentioned it. She was adjusting nicely. Better than he had, in fact. "Then we will. Some night. Tonight, I feel like a bed." He smiled slightly, a little surprised that he did. He returned the kiss when it came, an undeniable rush coming from the fact that this...goddess..had intitiated it. He had to grin afterwards, and responded only with a tug of her hand as began walking down the sidewalk again, 20:39:14 Scott_Masterson and trying to remember just how to get to the vampire club. Eventually came to the conclusion that he had no idea, due mainly to having always taken taxis there, he decided that that was probably the best idea now. He flagged down a cab, opening the door for her and looking like what must have been the complete opposite of the vampire she had intially encountered in the alleyway, an expensive black suit in place of dirtied street clothes and at least partially combed hair in place of a dirty mess. " They serve it right in wine glasses, in the back rooms. I couldn't believe it. Chanel's club." He had been avoiding the place since hearing that he had insulted Chanel, but her lack of attention earlier seemed reassuring, and he still owed her an apology if they crossed paths. 20:39:18 [Scott_Masterson] <E> 20:40:45 Reign continued thought the steets, her small form slipping past one male after another as she set her ghost like eyes of her desitnation. Le Romantica, was it, 'oh how it woul be romantic tonight. Reign, smirking lightly, moved past the odd male under the lamplight and toward the club her thoughs woul begin to wonder. 'What would happen if the black plague began again, or, the salem witch trials, ohh what if they started birning vampires to the core, or...if vampires started buring humans, how odd the thought...Vampire hunting and birning humans for being..well...human...' my my how her thoughts did wonder. Like a child, you know, just like a child. Finally reaching the club, Reign would move in. 'Oh, she was on a mission, a mission to find fresh love, and the women from her vision. As she entered the club, her body froze, she could feel the women inside the room. The women she had been dreaming of for years now, was within seeing distance, and Reign wasn't seeing her. Her eyes would survery the room <c> 20:58:24 Reign now, where was that precious beauty. Reign would move into the club further, her white blue eyes moving from face to face within seconds she had nearly memorized every face in the club, Yet, Reign still hadn’t seen that face. Moving further into the club, Reign would bite into her bottom lip; where was she. As Reign turned, facing the door the found her mistake, ‘oh yes, she was thinking to much about dinner and not enough about dreams. Darn those D words. Reign would exit the club, turn right back onto the streets and head toward the bestro. Once there, Reign’s eyes set out on a mission, a mission to find that face. Within moments, Reign has looked at and memorized every face in the place but still no hers; then her eyes fell on her. It was incredible to actually see her in person, a real live person. She was beautiful, yet, Reign wasn't sure why she had been dreaming of the women. Perhaps it was just another of her strange dreams of a face she had seen somewhere and just couldn't forget. <c> 20:58:49 Reign No, this seemed important. Moving toward the women Reign would toss her head to the left, her hair tumbling down her body as she finally reached the women. Standing behind Eris, with the lightest smirk on her face, Reign would say. "I see you......."<E> 20:59:37 [`Joe] The looked the pair standing there, in the middle of a Paris side walk, wrapped in what could only be described as a lovers embrace. He dressed in one of those fancy expensives suits. Her in the short skirt/shirt combination that made her look nothing more then a every day Paris street walker. Expect the way she looked most likely had others thinking different things. A gothic princess, she remembered being called once. With the looks she was given from birth, many had said she had model potential. That she could be the most wanted woman in all of Paris. She didnt believe it, and still, if told, wasnt sure she could believe it then. It hadnt dawned on her until they had snagged a cab that Scott had no idea where they were going. She could have gotten them there. She was familar with all of Paris, having lived there for so long. But the club was something she was very familar with. It didnt matter though, as they had gotten the cab and rode in comfort to the place. ----- 20:59:50 [`Joe] "I've always wondered what went on behind those doors. But, believe it or not, I was too afraid to go inside. I don't know why." It was a revelation she herself hadnt ever expected to reveal to anyone, but it was the truth. Eyes flicking to the review mirror, and the drivers eyes, she sent him a smile before turning back to Scott. "I don't think Chanel is going to be a huge problem. Not like we had thought. She seemed, happy about the change. As if she'd expected it." Sure, he had crossed one of those lines and taken her from the woman. But in her eyes, he had staked claims on her that first night in the alley way. Sitting back, she relaxed a little, knowing it wouldnt be too long before they reached thier destination. 21:01:27 Kristina had been home a couple hours now she done some work, cleaned whatever she might do to keep busy but she was still antsy. She decided then since her earlier travels hadn’t purposed to be very interesting she’d check out some other hot spots. She wasn’t really now to Paris she’d traveled through it a lot for a long time until finally she’d purchased an apartment to stay in on her travels. She had a few places around the globe one to have to when traveling as much as she. Snatching her coat then after a quick change of clothing she decided to head for a Club downtown she’d recently heard of. Stepping outside she flagged a car down and slid in speaking to the cabby quietly he seemed familiar with the place she hoped no one recognized her that could be dangerous. Come to think of it she should invest in some sort of protection people like her weren’t really suppose to waltz about alone. She didn’t really put much thought into it but she was surprised no one had recognized her I mean her. (C) 21:03:20 Kristina song with Apocalyptica S.O.S (Anything but Love ) had been a huge hit, weird and perhaps good for her as she reached the Club rather quickly, maybe a bit too quick as she paid the cabby, signed his card for him and left the car she had little issue getting into the Club though she did notice various sets of eyes following her in a strange, sort of way. Once inside she had her hand stamped or whatever it is they did and glanced around. Seeing a bar on the far wall she ducked her head an weaved through the mass of people heading in that direction. (E) 21:07:47 ErisAngelus just sat there , like neither one of the girls could do a thing that would make her flinch. When they started talking, she just let her smile fade into something very dark. Those doe eyes narrowed a moment, showing how Eris was growing vexed with the humans. She could never understand why they were so hooked up on their personal space thing, it was such a bother. “ I would advise you to calm down before making a fuss. “ The vampire wouldn’t do anything, not unless she had to. Her hands relaxed on the table before her, her mind wondering of what she was doing. Did Eris ever really think these things through? It seemed she was so planned, always in the right spot at the right time. Perhaps it was just her gift, her nature, her reason. Her finger rattle on the table top a moment, like she was trying to settled herself. Any moment now, she figured the woman in front of her was do something stupid. Narrowing her eyes, she turned her head slightly at the words coming from behind her. The old goddess was unsure~ 21:08:45 [ErisAngelus] what to think about it, and for this moment was distracted from the people around her. “ and just what do you see?” Her lush voice was quiet, like she knew the woman could hear it regardless. 21:14:31 Scott_Masterson slid onto the backseat of the taxi after her, pulling the door shut behind him and denying the thought that he was probably the least glamorous vampire in Paris. He certainly couldn't imagine Aemilius or Chanel taking a cab anywhere. Maybe Eris. But...Eris was Eris. The thought was easily remedied when it occured that he simply did not know any other 'young' vampires, and ancients--obviously--had the money for more extravagant transportation. He said simply "Le Romantica" to the driver before his eyes swung back to Joe, again awed by that skirt and fishnets barely hiding beyond-perfect legs. There seemed to be an unwritten ( or written, he didn't know...) rule that vampires could only come from physically attractive humans, and she certainly filled that expectation. He lit a cigarette and rolled down the window slightly, ignoring the driver's 'How do you like Paris?' entirely, until the < 21:14:33 Scott_Masterson man's eyes went from looking at him in the rearview mirror back to the road with a mumble in french that Scott didn't understand--which he was glad for, almost positive that if it had been in english, it would have meant two hours out of his night while he killed and buried the man. The cigarette was shifted to his right hand and the left settled gently onto Joe's thigh, almost wthout thinking as she spoke " Why? Do the hunter's know it's a..." his eyes flickered briefly to the driver and back before continuing..." 'special' club? Or, you just knew the possibility existed?". The answer was important, and it might have shown in the way his expression changed. If the hunters did know, he would tell Chanel the first opportunity he had. Any favor he could do for her would be well-timed. 21:14:45 Scott_Masterson He paused to listen as Joe spoke again, and resisted the urge to smack the cabbie's head when the man turned on the radio, and less-than-preferable music filed the cab. Despite the annoyance, Joe's words were even more relieving, in regards to the Chanel situation. " Good. I was really getting sick of worrying. Now it's just Aemilius I have to wonder about. He never did come back..." He shrugged, not at all worried that the ancient vampire would make trouble for them. " Oh well, fuck it. We're off the hook. I say we drink until it's dripping from our noses." He smiled, looking away just long enough to see the large black building coming into view, 'Le Romantica' emblazoned above the entrance in stylized red neon. They came to a stop and he stood out first, holding the door and then paying the cabbie--minus a tip--once she exited. <e> 21:16:21 Dior ~The reaction from Gina shocked her a little, somehow she’d expected a face full of holy water… or worst, but no. The girl struck with words, vicious ones, but still they caused no real harm to Eris. Golden shimmering eye’s flicked between the two woman who sat at either side of the table, dare she move towards Gina? Did she really want too… something about Eris was… addictive. Just looking at the woman sent unspeakable notions through her mind. Had her wish been granted? Was Eris one of them… and if so, would the woman be all the things Gina had warned about? Hopefully not, because if she was… they were royally screwed. “What exactly do you expect of her, after you admit to being part of her friends death…” she said, extremely calmly considering the current situation. Though, would Eris notice the ever so slight shuffle towards Gina? As if she were trying to place herself at the green haired girls side without drawing attention to it. <c> 21:16:25 Dior ~The woman who spoke from behind Eris she tried to ignore, there wasn’t anything she could say or do except hope for the best and move towards her friend? Was that what Gina was now, a friend? It sure looked like it. She let her gaze fall over the girls face, her expression seemed to speak aloud ‘Don’t do anything stupid, please’ it said, silently to Gina.<f>~ 21:18:26 Reign would indeed hear her words, the words she’s longed to hear since she had started having the dreams. Although, she couldn’t remember a time when she wasn’t having those dreams. “I see you with a Native man, and I see you with a white man, I see you with gladiator, and with a very mistaken creature. I see you creating a man, a man that didn’t turn out right. I see you with a man you call Anzrul and I see you with me. I’m not sure why I see you with me, for I’ve never met you before, but I do. I see you holding my hand as a child, far before I was what I am, and I see you now.” Reign didn’t move, although, her white eyes would move around the tables, her eyes resting on both humans before Reign once again placed that innocent smirk on her face. She didn’t say anything to them, just sort of stared at them. Her eyes seeming to pierce through the two. 21:27:03 [`Joe] The hand that rested on her leg went un-noticed, it almost being a natural thing after the couple days they had spent together. It was odd though, that such simple touches where natural. Like they'd always done it and one or the other didnt mind it. The way the cab driver acted towards her companion, however, was completely noticed. Right down to the french curse the man had uttered. Shaking her head, she turned her attention back to Scott and nodded. "We've always believed that it had housed 'special' activities, but we werent sure for the longest time." Chanel would need to know, of course. For her and the others safty. The moment the music was turned on and up, she slightly winced, the sound assulting her ears. She had to resist all urge to put her hands on her ears and try to down out the sound. Instead, she simply lifted Scotts hand, moved in the seat before leaning over the back of the front seat and reaching out to town it off. "We're talking. Be respectful."</i> --- 21:27:08 [`Joe] she said to the man in french, along with uttering a threat that Scott would not understand. Smiling, she settled back into the seat for the duration of the ride. At the mention of Aemilius, she nodded, not exactly liking the elder. But if it came down to it, she would behave around the man even if she didnt want to. The moment the cab stopped and Scott climbed out, she slid across the street and followed him, looking up at the building. Here goes nothing, she thought before smiling and taking his hand. Prepared for whatever it was that went on beyond those doors. 21:34:52 [Gina] Something stupid sure went through her mind, but she hesitated to act upon it. Had they been anywhere else, she might have. But here. In thier sacntuary, she didnt want to reveal that hunters dwelled here. So instead of jumping at the woman, or splashing her with the holy water she had tucked in her pocket, she stood there and glared. When she seemed to remove herself from the chair, Gina leaned forward and got as close as she could. "Don't make me do something either you are I are going to regret. I said leave, now leave." Lifting back up, her eyes shifted to Dior for a moment before returing to Eris. "Your kind is not wanted here. Ever." No sooner had she spoken the words, did the second female appear and start speaking craziness. Shaking her head, she took a step towards Dior. She didnt know why, but she felt like the older woman could protect her if something we're to happy. She didnt speak to her freind. There wasnt a point to it. No matter what she whispered to her, Eris would hear. ---- 21:34:56 [Gina] Her eyes held onto Reign's for as long as the woman stared at them before she spoke once more. "Both of you, take your business elsewhere." 21:43:22 Scott_Masterson was still smiling at Joe's comment to the cab driver as he held the door open. He didn't need to understand the exact words to get the gist, and somehow the act seemed uncharacteristic of her--before he realized that he was still learning who the vampire Joe was. He glanced up at the building, looming impressively even compared to the multitude of other clubs they had passed on the way. Outside stood a line of roughly thirty wannabe club-goers, each looking more bored and increasingly desperate than the next. Some were in full gothic style with capes and top hats, faces painted white and 'fake' teeth--though in some instances the teeth were actually permanent dentistry. Many of the females wore corsets or gowns that would have been far more common hundreds of years ago, yet no doubt concealed tags from modern stores in the back. The bouncer 21:43:25 Scott_Masterson was the only one who registered as a vampire, and he knew from previous visits that posessing no heartbeat granted instant access. They entered with only an understanding head-nod to the large vampire, into a small hall that was entirely red and then into the increasingly familiar main room, a scene bursting with enough writhing, dancing bodies to make any fire marshall cry. The music was loud, and he glanced to Joe to make sure it wasn't painfully so before deciding it wasn't, and leading her through the crowd, passed another vampiric bouncer in a black suit, and up a long set of red carpeted stairs to the VIP section. Up here was another large room, one entire side of it a two-way mirror overlooking the club below and the other < 21:43:40 Scott_Masterson occupied by a long bar. Everything was either red or black, from the bar stools to the booth seats, to the old fashioned couches placed throughout the room. To his surprise, it was currently empty aside from the female bartender--who he knew from past experience was a 'ghoul'. The very idea intrigued him. Humans made into puppets by vampire blood. He ahd barely believed it when he had first been told, but even now he could sense the slight difference in the woman. Not as strong as one a vampire might produce, just...different. He led Joe to one of the booth seats that had a small table and faced the false mirror, slipping in opposite whichever side chose. There was no need to order, and moments later two crystal wine glasses were being set on the table, filled almost to the brim with warmed blood. He smiled, and tapped his glass against 21:46:50 ErisAngelus just looked at the human a moment before turning to see the vampire behind her. Those doe eyes narrowed. She had never seen her before, knew nothing of her. As the woman started to speak, the goddess froze. She just didn’t know what to do. Anger, fear, pain, all these things shit into her like an arrow. No one knew these things…no one. As Anzrul’s name left her lips, Eris rose to her feet. She was angry now something that was very rare for her. She felt venerable, open more then she was willing to let people in. Thinking about Anzrul made her eyes visibly tear up, the line of blood slowly flowing down them. Could a single word bring her to tears so? It would seem. Looking back at the human, she bared her teeth at them. “ My kind…” She hissed, leaning over the table. Eris was acting more like a monster then she normally would. “ Fuck you!” She turned back to the other vampire but she was gone. Gone, and leaving Eris with a million questions. She turned back now on the humans, eyes bright with her unease. ~ 21:48:06 [ErisAngelus] She was still weeping, still bearing her teeth. “ Joe made a choice. I wasn’t given that!” With that, Eris stormed out of the bistro and away from them. The would never see her again as far as she was concerned. Whatever she was going to tell them left her mind and would not return to thought. Her heels clinked on the sidewalk as she moved, not caring that she was walking too fast. She could have been walking the streets like a Lady Godiva and not cared, not right now. She went to the club, looking for Emil. She needed to speak with him. He, old enough to understand. Pushing through the doors, she didn’t even realized that Joe and Scott were here, too lost in her own mind and torments. 22:02:29 [`Joe] It was more then she expected. More loud. More packed. More everything. The sound of not only the music that thumped from giant speakers, but the heartbeats and voices that had to yell to be heard hit her ears. It caused another wince, but she pushed through it. It was new to her, to say the least, all this extra sense that she had. The smell alone almost threw her into a frenzy that she had to fight to keep at bad. Her fingers curled around Scotts in a vise like grip before he was leading them up into a closed off section. It was better up her. Sure, the music still reached her ears, but it didnt seem as bad as it had been when first entering. When they sat, she chose the seat that kept her back away from the stairs, so she could always see who was coming up them. Old habits died hard. When the blood was delievered, she looked at it with a questioning gaze before she shrugged, clinked it against his glass and took a sip. It was better then she had expected and she found herself taking a long guzzle of it--- 22:02:31 Dior ~”Please.” she purred after Gina asked them both to leave… a little courtesy couldn’t do any harm. Especially since It appeared they were evenly numbered… two humans against one vampires might stand a chance… but one on one, with next to no weapons? Not a chance in hell! Though she hardly expected the response which was given moments later. ‘Fuck you!’ what lovely words from such a beautiful woman… words that Dior could hardly stop herself from responding to. So fast that snake like tongue replied, faster than the warning her brain attempted to give. “Fuck you right back, you self sympathetic hag. ‘I wasn’t given a choice’” she repeated the last five words in the most mocking tone imaginable before going further “Pathetic.” her voice was a hiss, vicious and low in tone, the word spat with a venomous accuracy towards the retreating vampire’s back. Why had she done it? Well… she had a feeling Gina would have said something worse, <c> 22:02:34 [`Joe] before setting it aside and wipeing her lips clean. "It's not what I expected." she said after a moment of silence. "Not in the least." Shrugging, she went back to looking around, watching the writhing bodies down below. "We should dance." she suggested, turning back to look at him with a smile. She highly doubted he'd be up for it, but it was something to do other then sit here and guzzle blood. "Its nice up here though. Quite." 22:02:53 Dior ~ or done something which might really have cost them their lives. Like attacking the woman, so instead Dior had chosen to open her own mouth in the hope that it would hold Gina back. Older, wiser? No, not really… but she felt a connection with the girl, something in Gina was fragile, breakable and right now Dior wanted to protect it. So with her breath held she watched as the vampire ‘ran’ from The Blue Dreams, hoping to hell that there would be no repercussions before she automatically headed for a ‘safe place’, which just happened to be Gina’s office. Of course, she was dragging the green haired lady along with her… since, technically, Gina had the keys.~ 22:15:29 [Gina] Her mouth moved to say something back to the retreating vampire but stopped mid-motion as Dior's voice out did her tiny squeak. Blinking, she looked over to Dior with a 'what the fuck' expression before shaking her head. She was crazy. Plain and simple. She'd be surprised. Shocked even, the vampire didnt halt in her retreat to turn back and kill them both. But since it didnt appear like it was going to happen, turned to Dior once more to ask her what the hell all that was about. Instead of speaking, she was getting dragged to the back room again. Fishing the keys from her pocket, she unlocked the door and slipped inside behind Dior. The moment the door was shut, she was turning on the woman. "Are you crazy!?! That was a fucking vampire! One that could have killed us both before we even blinked! Crazy!" Shaking her head, she moved to sit at the table and rest her head against the surface. It seemed like everything was spiraling out of control and she couldnt catch it. 22:22:19 Scott_Masterson watched Joe sip the blood intently, remembering fondly his own excitement upon discovering such a place existed. He had only briefly wondered just where the blood was coming from, before deciding the convenience was worth the mystery. Maybe Chanel had a basement full of humans being 'milked' every day, or perhaps enough victims were plucked from the streets each night to fill up a keg or two. Neither would have bothered him, and the advantages of such a system were obvious; vampires did not need to hunt themselves, which in turn became a less suspicious public. It was genius, really. These old vamps knew how to live, not that he was surprised. He smiled at Joe's statement, trying to imagine the human her having been wary of the place and finding it almost impossible--though not entirely. Walking into a suspected haven was undoubtedly in the hunter's handbook under the heading of 'things not to do'. 22:22:22 Scott_Masterson " Well, usually there are more vampires up here. Still early though..." He was glad for the relative solitude. Beauty drew the vampiric eye like the club itself attracted the wannabes, and the last thing he wanted was to be in a roomful of vampires eyeing Joe, which they undoubtedly would. He laughed slightly at the prospect of dancing, shaking his head slightly. " Sorry, I don't dance. Not like that anyways..." he motioned to the mirror, and the horde of people below..." But if we can get a slow song, I'll consider it." He seemd to think for a moment, gave a shrug as if some internal debate had been solved, and then called to the woman behind the bar asking for the room's stereo to be turned on, with something 'mellow and danceable'. He sipped the blood again and stared at Joe until the room's speakers came to life, 22:22:28 Scott_Masterson drowning out the bass-y music below them with a far more eclectic variety, and a much slower beat. " That's do-able." He said salmly, setting down the glass and standing before offering to take her hand and then moving to the center of the room before sliding a hand back to the small of her back and slowly beginning to move with the music--obviously out of practice but managing to avoid her feet entirely. 22:30:11 Dior ~She fought it, for as long as physically possible… but it bubbled up inside of her, as unstoppable as the sunrise. Laughter spilled from her lips in waves, even as Gina yelled, she laughed. So hard it was beginning to hurt… maybe she was a bit crazy? More likely it was a nervous reaction. The thrill of what had just happened… the adrenaline always invited the strangest effects. “Right, no… sorry…yes, but… hun, we aren’t dead. Are we?” she grinned, almost childishly before walking over to where Gina had ‘collapsed’, it looked like the girl was drained. “Breath, it’s alright… seriously, we’re alive aren’t we and if you need it, I’ll help you find your friend Joe, even if it’s to end her.” she’d just presumed one of things praying on Gina’s mind was Joe. Dior’s hand squeezed the others shoulder for a second before she backed off, it was getting late. So late that it was early. “You know where my hotel is… if you need someone, I’ll be there till tomorrow night.”<c> 22:30:20 Dior ~ she stated while backing away towards the door. A surprisingly genuine smile was flashed to Gina as she left the office, making sure to close the door securely behind herself so no one could sneak attack enter without Gina opening it for them.~ |

22:37:00 [`Joe] It amazed her what the concept of a vampires early. For her, before everything had happened, this would have been late. Shrugging to herself, she picked her glass back up and began sipping again. The more time that had passed, the colder and not so appitizing the blood had became and soon she was pushing it away all together. "It doesnt taste good cold." she said matter-of-factly, making a face to puncuate the point. She wasnt all that surprised by his answer. She didnt dance like that either. Or hadnt in a very long time. Hell, she hadnt been to a club since she was fresh out of high school and being here now was a shocker to the senses. But she liked it. "I'd like to meet more, younger, vampires. Get a sense of what they're like when not considered an elder." To her, the elders, save for Eris, seemed to hold the 'high and mighty' persona's. Truth be told, Eris was the only one she really liked. When he asked the woman behind the bar to turn the music on, --- 22:37:04 [`Joe] she rose her eyebrow before she smirked. This was a side of him she'd never imagined seeing. Taking the offered hand, she slipped from the seat and followed him to the middle of the floor. The music wasnt something she'd of listened to in the slightest, but the beat was, infact, do-able. Slipping her hands onto his shoulder, she moved with him, feet moving, careful to avoid his own. Her eyes looked up into his as a smiled played across her lips. "I'm going to pre-apologise for stepping on your feet, cause I already know its going to happen. " 22:54:20 Scott_Masterson had not danced in many years, and it probably showed, but the slight buzz from the blood ensured he didn't care much. Any small amount of embarassment he may have felt otherwise was easily disregarded in the face of those flawless blue eyes looking back at him, and the feeling of her body so close. As a human, living on the streets left little room for dating and even less for relationships, and dancing had him reminiscing about highschool graduation--the last time he had. What had seemed like the best looking prom date imaginable at the time now seemed like some wart-covered bridge troll in comparison to Joe. Everything--Joe, his suit, her clothes and their luxurious surroundings--came together to create an almost surreal feel to the situation. This was what being a vampire was about. Similiar to movie stardom, only with more perks. 22:54:24 Scott_Masterson replied only when he was sure he had gotten the hang of dancing again and his concentration became free to do so... " Same here. I drove across two whole countries and only met three 'young' vampires. Here in Paris, it seems like they're on every street corner, and ancient. Though places like this make it worth the occasional awkwardness. And the apartment. Back in the States, I'd be stealing cars each night along with purses and wallets just to afford a room half the size and not nearly as well decorated. I definitely woudn't have this sweet suit." He laughed slightly, swaying back and forth and ignoring the ghoul as she approached silently and removed the now-cold blood from their table. " So...any more psychic visions when you fed today? I was thinking about that when I woke up, in the ground. You're going to have some amazing abilities when you age, I'm sure of it..." 22:54:30 Scott_Masterson His rhythm slowly lingered when the song faded out, and then began again just as slowly when another song began, this one mostly piano and a sultry french singer who's voice wasn't half of what Joe's was, though the beat was steady and easily followed. 23:07:17 [`Joe] She couldnt remember the last time she'd danced. Let alone with someone to a slow song. When she was younger, the craze had been techno and heavy metal. Very had to dance to with a partner. The thought brought a smile to her lips, shaking her head. So many things had happened when she was younger, she was surprised that she had made it as far as she had. She was strong and healthy, even if her heart didnt beat in her chest, or she stole blood from those unexpecting people that littered the Paris street. She was still alive, in a sense of the word. When he spoke, she listened, nodding her head. "As much as we have tried, we have never identified every vampire there ever was. I can honestly say, you managed to stay off the guilds radar. Which is a good thing." Would he stay that way with her now. Left unknown to the hunters guild. She didnt have the answer for that. But she would do whatever it was she could do to keep him that way. Her head turned breifly to watch the woman remove the glasses---- 23:07:22 [`Joe] before she turned back to Scott. "Hmmm. There was. Last night when we fed together, I saw the womans thoughts. And tonight, I saw the mans. It still confuses me." She didnt know about amazing abilities. But she did know it was irritating to the senses. Once she had the thoughts, they crept up on her and showed themselves when she wasnt suspecting it. It was like they never went away. Simply stashed themselves in some compartment to torture her with on a whim. "Seeing peoples thoughts is not a ability I really want to have. I'll say that." Smiling, she continued to move with him. Even as the song changed. She felt comfortable here. Safe. She couldnt explain it, and probably would never be able to. But she liked it here with him. "Tell me something about you. Something no one knows. 23:18:28 Charisma gently nodded at the female her respond. “Yeah, it really is.. Sometimes I wished I could stay here for a little longer and see even more of it, you know?” a sigh escaped her lips. “I might move here someday, but meanwhile I’ll surely return to Paris whenever I can.” It was obvious the female didn’t live here at all. “However..London is my home.. but Paris..” A sigh escaped her lips as she stared over at the view. Yes, she was fond of it. Charisma looked up as the female spoke some French words, she slightly understood and watches the commotion going on. “No no, that’s fine.” She said gently about the wine and nodded gently. “I drink it once in a while.” She flicked her hair back lightly and looked away some.. Again Charisma smiled at her words and closed her note book. A few nods were given. “I do actually, a lot.” She answered at the drawing. The female observed the other gently. “You want to take a closer look?” she asked and offered her the sketch book. Then she would speak again,<C 23:18:36 Charisma <C>“So, do you live here?” she asked curious. The female’s accent was intriguing.. “You..got a nice accent, where are you from? “ she just had to ask it.. Hearing her words and some of the history her eyes twinkled some. The waitress returned with her Jus d’orange and the two red wines and apologized for the wait.. Charisma nodded. “That’s alright.” She said gently, not bothered or anything.. She continued to listen to Illyriea, looking at her. “Oh wow, really? I didn’t know.” She said, intrigued by how she told it, as if she had been there.. She nodded. “Absolutely.. it would have been a shame if France’s main symbol had just been..taken down, then Paris wouldn’t have been as it is now, you know?.” She raised a hand some and looked away. Charisma glanced at the view some. Besides the group, she had not met a lot of people yet. She thought for a moment and then spoke again. “What is your name, if may ask? I am Charisma, but people call me Char, or Chella. Both is fine.” She said and offered <C> 23:18:48 Charisma <C> her hand. A gentle smile was on her lips. This female somehow made her curious, but she was still the same as before. <E> 23:28:50 Scott_Masterson was so focused on Joe and the music that the noise from the club just below them was absent almost entirely from his perception, only the heartbeat of the ghoul bartender as she returned to her position behind the bar was audile, and even that barely registered over Joe's words. Some part of him wondered if she would be nearly as enamoured with being a vampire, if it weren't for the luxuries provided by the ancients. Somehow he suspected she would. His thoughts quickly returned to her words, and a small smile was given upon hearing the guild wasn't aware of him. Ever since Aemilius had told him about their existence, he had wondered just that--and with justification. There must have been twice as many bodies left behind him in his travels than many other young vampire. Certainly enough to warrant being 'dispatched', if they ever did become aware of him and his misdeeds. 23:28:54 Scott_Masterson Yet if she said they didn't know, they didn't. Another perk of her past profession. He spotted that less-than-thrilled expression when she described her visions and sliding a comforting finger along her cheek before it tucked some of that vibrant red hair behind her ear and he replied. " It'll get easier. Eventually. Could be a while, but...I think you just need to adjust. In my first days...smelling people, and hearing what was happening inside their bodies...it practically made me sick. I had to learn to block it out, only focus when I wanted to be focused. I can only guess it's the same for your ability...though I can imagine how that might be disorienting..." He was silent for a short moment, and quickly denied the urge for a cigarette and a fresh glass of blood in order to stay this close to her. 23:29:00 Scott_Masterson Her question was met with a guarded look that quickly faded. So much he couldn't tell her...or rather, wouldn't tell her, lest her perception of him be tarnished. One example would be the clown. A minor annoyance and he had stalked the man like some horror movie killer, torturing him by pulling his hands and tongue off, and then finally his head. There were too many such stories in his past, and he suspected strongly that Joe did not share that particular part of his personality. In fact, because of what had happened to her family, he was almost positive she would have been horrified by it. He searched his mind for something else to offer, and seemed to take a long time to do so. Eventually he responded, in a sly voice that accompanied a grin... < 23:29:13 Scott_Masterson " Well...my name is Scott Masterson. I don't tell most people that. And..." he quieted his voice slightly before continuing..." I was a Boy Scout for five years when I was a kid. Had like...eighty badges." He laughed very slightly, more to himself than her. He had never expected to share simple memories like that ever again, and had even spent more than a few nights underground, trying to will himself to forget his entire human life. " What about you? Any deep dark secrets I should know about?" He let his forehead gently lean against hers for a moment, staring into those eyes with all the intensity he could muster. Some small part of him wanted to read her mind, though that desire was quickly relegated to the 'impossible' section and forgotten. <E> 23:37:55 Illyriea-Illusion Her lips were pursed together as she took in the words the woman spoke to her. She listened to the desire in her voice. Wanting to live here so badly, Illyriea didn’t understand why she just didn’t move here. This was clearly a place she wanted to be. So why? She heard the sigh escape the woman’s lips and she looked down at her as her eyes lingered over the view once again. As the woman asked her too look at the notebook, Illyriea nodded her head and took the book delicately into her hands. She opened it and pictures of Paris flicked through her mind. But not this modern Paris that the pencil had drawn. The Paris from Illyriea’s past. The one, she missed. She might be a vampire, an evil on at that, but she still had a heart. ”Yes I do…I moved here after a bit of trouble in London.” A story she wasn’t going to tell. Long story short she murdered a few people of Hierarchy. ”I’m originally from Ayr Shire, in Scotland.” [c] 23:38:14 [Illyriea-Illusion] A small country town, were her family and a few other’s reined over it like Kings and Queens. She handed the notebook back as the waiter returned with their drinks and an orange juice. She handed Charisma the glass before taking a sip of her own. Her red lips lingering on the glass. A smudge of her lipstick present. Her eyes went over to the Paris view again. ”I don’t know…Paris was very lovely without it…so I’ve been told.” Her eyes moved away, a little bit glossy from her memories and smiled as the woman introduced herself. ”Illyriea.” She said. Though it wasn’t her real name. Sasha McDermott had died over 300 years ago. That’s what the story was. Illyriea with now last name was the woman she was now. She took the hand gracefully and shook it. Illyriea could tell from the scent she was human, what a shame…though, Illyriea could play with this for a while. Act sweet, seduce the woman and take advantage of her with her fangs. It has been a while since she had a good kill. [c] 23:38:30 Illyriea-Illusion Not including the bouncer she had murdered her first night in Paris. He should’ve known better. The danger in her eyes warned him in the beginning, but he was stupid. ”Nice to meet you Charisma.” [e] 23:44:22 [`Joe] There were so many things about her that she wanted to tell him, yet hesitated everytime. Most of it had delt with hunting, and no matter how much he instisted that he wanted to know, that was a part of her life she wished she could simply forget. She noitced though, today while she was alone, that the feeling, the need to do what she'd done her entire life had crept up on her so quick, she was hardly able to quell it. Chanel was something of a thorn in her side. One that she held a grudge against. She kept thinking that if it wasnt for her, she would have stayed human longer. Not that she minded the change. But there was so many things that she was going to miss now that she wasnt what she'd once been. His words, as always, drowned out her thoughts. A much needed distraction. "It's not overbearing for me. The seeing, and smelling, and hearing of things. It's those thoughts that get me." She knew she'd get used to it. Eventually. And she'd learn to live with it. Practice to sharpen it. ---- 23:44:57 [`Joe] It could be a handy trick in the future. But for now, it was a hinderance. She laughed then, at the revelation of his deep dark secret. "I knew the name you'd given me wasnt real. Had a feeling." The boyscout thing wasnt actually all that shocking. There was a ruggedness in him. She guessed that was what had drawn her to him. He was exactly her type. Myterious. Rugged. A little rough around the edges. But deep down, there was something passionate there. A need to do things outside the box instead of in it. In life, he would have made the perfect man for her. Now. She didnt know. She was drawn to him, yes. But she wasnt sure if it was because of her or because he was her sire. "Me? Hmmm. Let see." She feinded racking her brain for a moment before she grinned. "I'm a shower singer. A completely horrible shower singer." That grin held for a moment before her features went completely stotic. "I also had dreams when I was a kid. I saw things. Things that happened.--- 23:45:01 [`Joe] And they really happened. I saw my own death. Exactly how it happened." That was something she never shared with anyone. The seeing her own death. Her own change. It was her deepest, darkest secret |
