16:25:18 [`Joe] Sleep had eluded her for a long while before the sun had risen over the horizon. Of course she hadnt got to watch it, with it being deadly to her now these days. But she had felt it. Know that it was there. And faught every temptation she had to sleep from the plush bed, moved to the heavily curtined window and pull them open. Instead, she laid in the bed, staring at the darkened cieling until fatique at took her and she slipped into a peaceful, dreamless sleep. She wasnt sure what had woken her up just past dusk, but her eyes had snapped open. It could have been the hunger pain that wretched her stomache, or the feeling that she got that she knew it was time to wake. But whatever it was, she was awake and with a hunger that could rival even the oldest of vampires. She'd woken on her stomache, face burried into the softness of the plush pillow. Arms wrapped around said pillow. A soft groan emmitted from her lips as she flipped to her back before climbing to her feet. Arms moved over her head, --- 16:25:22 [`Joe] back arching as she stretched, popping the bones in her back as she did so. She'd slept surprising well, all things considered. Padding, nude, across the floor, she moved to the closet and pulled it open. Different sets of females cloths lined the rack, giving her semething to choose from. She finally decided on a simple pair of black slacks and a white t-shirt, pulling them on and turning back to face the bed. She debated on whether to just let Scott sleep, or wake him to go feed. She decided, after a long moment of deliberation, to pad back over and crawl back into the bed. "Scott." she whispered, reaching out to touch his shoulder with her hand. 16:41:40 Scott_Masterson awoke suddenly, and instanty knew he had had the dream again. His claws were fully extended, as were his fangs, and the lingering sense of terror was very much fresh in his mind. What 'the dream' entailed exactly, he had no idea...he had not remembered a single dream since the change, and only knew that a single one was reoccuring from the now-familiar sense of horror steadily draining from his senses. Again that odd sense was present, that if he had posessed a heartbeat it would be pounding as fast as possible at the moment--and for a short moment he found himself wishing he did have one, only for the comforting feeling of it slowing as the excitement faded. He opened his eyes, and found himself momentarily disoriented yet again. He was not underground, as he had grown used to, but in the apartment and in a large bed. Joe was there beside him, 16:41:43 Scott_Masterson a hand placed gently on his shoulder and looking at him as though waiting for a reply to some question he had not heard. He could not remember the last time he had woken in a bed, and wasn't especially pleased with the sensation, apart from her presence. Digging his way into the ground each night had become more than habit, nearly instinct by now. It was safe, and quiet, surrounded by earth. Here, even with the heavy drapes over the windows and doors securely locked, there was no guarantee of safety. If something had broken the window throughout the day--as unlikely as that was--it would have been the end, and if someone had entered he would never have known. But it had been too inviting to sleep here, with her, the previous night. 16:41:58 Scott_Masterson He also did not want to dissuade her in any way. Crawling underground for rest was hardly one of the more glamorous parts of being a vampire, and he wanted her to experience the good before the bad began seeping in. He blinked a few times and stared at her for a long while, just as surprised by her absolute beauty as he had been when the change first happened. She was already dressed, looking as though she had been awake the entire time he'd slept, though he knew that was not the case. He smiled slightly, and spoke even as the claws slowly retracted and disappeared, along with his unusual fangs, leaving only normal-looking fingers and teeth. He reached a hand up to brush her cheek again, as if to verify the texture of that skin of hers.< 16:42:06 Scott_Masterson "Good evening." He spoke plainly, simultaneously remembering the previous night's events as he did. " How was your first rest? Peaceful?" Part of him was curious if she had dreamt, and if so, if she remembered it. He sat up and slid back slightly, coming to rest against the headboard of the king sized bed. His shirtless body was not the muscular one that someone might expect from a vampire, but rather a somewhat normal build, though toned and pale. The recollection that he was out of cigarettes caused only a small annoyance which quickly faded as he watched her, studying her harder than an art historian looking over a Michaelangelo or a Botticelli. 16:59:23 [`Joe] She watched as he seemed to break free from some sort of nightmare. Of what, she couldnt tell. He was silent to her, to her touch. Making her believe the one time the images and thoughts from her first victim had been nothing but a fluke. A one time thing. Never to happen again. She wasnt sure. And wouldnt be until she could test it further. Those brilliant blue eyes shinned down at him as the fog cleared from his sleep and he looked up at her. "Good morning." she said back, a small smile touching her lips. A nod was given to his questions as she sat back on her legs and watched him. "Pretty well actually." Infact, it had felt like the best sleep she'd ever gotten. In her entire life. Tilting her head into his hand as he touched her cheek, she closed her eyes. She was awed by the feeling of such a simple gesture. When he pulled back, she opened her eyes and looked around the pitch black room, surprised that she could see as if it was clearly lit with bright lights.---- 16:59:26 [`Joe] "I know it's probably too soon, but I'm kind of hungry." She hoped that feeding was somewhere on the list of things to do within the night. She also wondered what exactly he had planned. She knew, at some point, she was going to have to ask him to go back to Blue Dreams. To face the people she loved. Cared for. They'd be angry, she knew. Probably vow to hunt her. But she had to say goodbye. To all of them. Lidia, Marvin, Gina. They all deserved to know what happened. Or atleast she thought so. Shifting, she sat fully, pulling her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around them, resting her chin on her knee. She sat there like that, unmoving, just staring at him, reflecting on the past days events. 17:06:33 ErisAngelus grew bored with watching the building, listening to what was going on inside. All together, she was growing increasingly bored with her present situation. Rolling out her neck, the old vampire seemed restless and started walking along the street. Why had she driven if she would now just walk? Simple, she drove the car because she felt the want to do so, and now she walked for the same reason. So what was she to do with herself now? There seemed no one to play with. Ah yes, well she could always go see the newborn and the brute of a man who had made her. Joe, yes that was her name. The male, however, she noted not knowing a name for. That was a dangerous place to be in with Eris, for she had a bad habit of putting whatever name was her fancy to a face and never feeling the need to retrain herself to use another. It would seem all of the people she found most wonderful in some way gained a pet name from her. As she walked, her hips swaying with the steady gate, and arms falling useless to her sides, Eris ~ 17:06:58 [ErisAngelus] hummed to herself. The was a tuneless mess of noise really, but she seemed happy with it all the same. Ahead, the apartments where her two newest darlings were. This time, she didn’t even bother with the door and simply went in the way she broke in last night. How did she know where they were? Well, it didn’t really matter, she just did. Once someone is under her eye, it seemed God himself couldn’t hide them. She didn’t go directly to their room, for a vase of flowers in the entrance hall distracted her. Like a moth to light, Eris let her doe brown eyes linger there on the floral arrangement. She was lost, completely, stuck in the beauty of it. Was she so simple? Yes, in a word. One question lingered in the air…how was Eris already here when the sun had set just moments ago? 17:22:11 Scott_Masterson ran a single hand through his messy hair, attempting only briefly to finger-comb it into less of a mess, and not accomplishing much, as he maintained his gaze with her. His vibrantly blue eyes flickered between hers and her lips as she responded, and at the moment it was hard to remember why he had hated the human Joe so much--though the memory of the bolt firmly nailing his hand to his chest, and the holy water incident, quickly reminded him. Even as she spoke he found himself wondering how many vampires had died by her hand, staring into those gorgeous eyes as they lived their last moments. Had he not encountered her as a Hunter, it would have been impossible to imagine her in such a profession. He smiled very slightly upon hearing she had slept well. He had been entirely unsure if all vampires were haunted by nightmares < 17:22:14 Scott_Masterson that they couldn't recall, and it was good to know she wasn't--at least not yet. The dreams had not started for him until a few weeks after the change. He hoped it stayed that way for her. Despite the refreshment of sleeping, the nightmares left him with a perceived sense of fatigue that he knew would last much of the night. He could sense the hunger in her even before she spoke the words, though when she did another smile graced his pale face. She was so much more attractive as a vampire, and it was not just what the change had done for her appearance...it was what it had done to her. She was a killer now, just like him, and she wore that demonic mask better than anyone else ever could. He recalled the image of her, bloodied and leaning over her first victim, as he replied...< 17:22:28 Scott_Masterson " It's never too soon, dear. *Never*. Just let me dress." He didn't move to stand for a full minute, too entranced with that face looking back at him to do so. She would find it incredibly easy to persuade victims, he was sure of it. Even as a human most men would have followed her without question. Now, they would practically ask to do it. He finally slid out of the bed and pulled on the dress pants folded neatly on the arm of a chair beside it, reassuring himself that there indeed no cigarettes left with a simple pat of the pockets. The habit lingered from his human life, and despite all the changes he had gone through in the past year, the psychological addiction was still strong--and the act of forcing himself to inhale and exhale often reminded him to do it even without a cigarette, something he often found himself forgetting. 17:22:31 Scott_Masterson He eyed the dress shirt crumpled on the floor and sporting a few bloodstains from the previous night's victim, and moved to the closet for a fresh one, pulling it on quickly and revealing a fist-sized tattoo of a demonic-looking skull on his right shoulder blade to her, perhaps for the first time before the fabric covered it. He turned back to face her as he buttoned the shirt most of the way up, leaving the last three undone. " Have you thought of anything you would like to do? Aside from feeding, I mean? When I was first changed, I spent a week just driving cars wrecklessly, simply because I had always wanted to but feared injury. Any old enemies you'd like to terrorize?" < 17:22:41 Scott_Masterson He smiled slightly, as though fondly recalling the freedom that he had discovered in those first weeks of his new life, though the question had an alterior motive. He wanted to know what her plans were, in regards to contacting family or friends from her human life. Either had to be discouraged, that was evident, and he hoped the news would not troulbe her too much. He had been lucky in that respect...his family had disowned him years before the change, and as such there was no psychological trauma in that respect. Somehow he doubted she was so lucky. <E> 17:42:37 ErisAngelus would be disappointed in Scott. Perhaps it was best that she did not go up and force her company on them. To see him acting like such a gentlemen would have broken the old goddess’ heart. It mattered little, for many acted different with their fledglings then they would with anyone else. Eris was not an example of that, she treated everyone the same. They were all just as meaningless as she was. Or at least as meaningless as she felt herself to be. Nothing really mattered unless you were human did it? Only they still had the choice. There was always a choice, unless you were already dead. Eris had vocalized her feelings on the subject a time or two, but the younger of her kind seemed unable to truly understand her. Her own sire, a god by all means to some, was the only one who knew everything about her. It caused a kind of hatred between them. A violent lust filled connection of two beings. It was rare for her to ever go near him anymore. For ten thousand years Eris had walked this earth and for the~ 17:43:18 [ErisAngelus] for the better part of it, she had been alone. Emotions were extra baggage and the older she got, the more they seemed to slip away from her. She was so far from being anything human at all. Tilting her head, so slowly it might have been a full minute before the full rotation of the neck was achieved. Her hands, that had been useless at her sides, moved together as they reached out to grasp a single tulip. It was a rich, flawless royal purple, and such a contrast from the flower to the green of the stem. Pulling it from the vase, she held it there, just below her nose and inhaled. It was not the sweetness she wanted. It was something else. She could smell the life of the flower, the sun shining down on it. Sunshine, one of her favorite smells. Oh yes, it had a smell. The sound of footsteps told her that she was no longer alone. It was nobody really, just a man leaving the building. He would look at her, and then like everyone else, look away and continue on with his life and forget her. A blessing and a ~ 17:43:40 [ErisAngelus] curse. Forgotten, the flower slipped from her fingers to call on the floor as Eris turned to look up the hall. They were there, awake and she knew this for sure. Why was she not forcing herself on them as she did last time? Simple really, she was being polite. 17:51:04 [`Joe] She continued to sit there, arms wrapped around her legs, watching him as he watched her. She noticed he did that alot. Watched her like she was a piece of art that couldnt be passed up. To simply sit and stare and ponder over for hours. Thats how she precieved that he was longing at her. "Penny for your thoughts?" she said as he moved from the bed and began dressing. She kept her eyes on him, spotting the tattoo. Those werent new to her. If he were explore her body fully, he'd find a couple tattooes behind her cloths. Hell, the marring of the body with art was her specialty, if he couldnt tell by the oddly placed piercings she had. Uncoiling her limbs, she leaned back and pondered his question. Did she really want to tell him what she really wanted to do. Who she wanted to go see? It was probably not a good idea. Something she would have to do on her own. Even if she didnt really want to. After a long moment of silence, she shrugged her shoulders. --- 17:51:08 [`Joe] There was so many things she wanted to before she'd been turned that she was too afriad of, she couldnt decide on just one. "I... I'm not sure." She was, however, sure she'd figure it out between now and the time they'd finished eating. Stretching her limbs again, she swung from the bed and stood on the floor. Her feet carried her around the bed to the door the led out of the room. A feeling, on akin to the one she had felt when Aemilius had shown up, came over her and her eyes went to the door. "Someone's here." She was sure he already knew and that it had been pointless to voice it, but she felt the need for some reason or another. 18:00:24 Scott_Masterson forced his eyes away from her to enter the bathroom, though he was still within sight as he turned to face the mirror and went to work brushing his hair, just enough for it to be classified as 'messy' rather than 'just woke up'. He had been both confused and relieved when he had initially discovered that vampires do indeed cast reflections. If that particular myth had been true, he would have been incredibly disappointed--not that he was cursed with narcissism in life, but the annoyance would have been constant. " No thoughts. Just admiring." He responded, and quickly unwrapped one of the complimentary toothbrushes and went about the mundane process of brushing the taste of stale coagulate blood from his mouth, and studying his reflection at the same time. he had initially been awed by the flawless texture of his skin shortly after the change, but now it had 18:00:28 Scott_Masterson become normal and he struggled even to recall what his human face had looked like, complete with blemishes and and even the beginnings of a few wrinkles. The face looking back at him was pleasing, however, and he couldn't deny a small bit of confidence was gained each time he did see himself. Just another perk, he supposed. Joe's words were replayed in his mind and he moved to lean against the bathroom's doorframe, seeming lost in thought for a short moment. He had almost missed that electric sense in the back of his brain, the one that accompanied proximity to an elder--only because the same sense, telling him that Joe was a few feet away, had nearly drowned it out. Not because Joe was an elder, obviously, but because--he presumed--he was her sire. Instantly he was aware of what Aemilius had said--that he would return that night. 18:00:56 Scott_Masterson The prospect was not completely welcome, only because of the old vampire's behavior the previous night towards Joe. Still, they were alive. And that was something to be thankful for. It could have been far worse. Suddenly Joe's words echoed his thoughts--that one of the old vampires was nearby--and he smiled very slightly upon realizing that she sensed it too. He had been unsure if she shared the same preternatural sense until now, and it was somehow endearing to know that she did. " Don't worry. I suspect if they wanted us dead they would have done it by now." The estimation was based more on hope than anything else, but again--no need to worry her more than she must have already been. He moved to grab his suit jacket and pull it on, looking around the room as if to verify that nothing had been forgotten before he looked to her and spoke again..."Let's eat." He gave a small smile and a nod of the head before he moved out of the bedroom and for the apartment's front door. 18:15:45 ErisAngelus indeed was there, looking down the hall like she thought it might talk to her. In way it was, the very walls unable to keep the people inside from her. At times the vampire thought she would gone insane, unable to feel a moment of peace just to herself. Then, other times she enjoyed being able to nosy her way through everyone’s life without having to lift a finger. If these two thought they were in any danger, they were fools. Eris would not allow anything to befall the doll and brute. At least not yet. As Scott opened the door and stepped out, Eris raised an eyebrow. She looked like one of those people you just want to hit. The kind that know too much and really might use it if the moment suited them. She knew the two would need to feed, such a mundane task. One that she would not join them on. No one ever saw her do it, and it left some to wonder if she did it at all. Would she need to? There was an ever growing list of questions on could ask about her. Dark, doe eyes lingered there on Scott, refreshing~ 18:16:00 [ErisAngelus] refreshing her memory of him. A smile slithered its way over her face, twisting from something blank to something so simply angelic that no one could accuse her of being anything else. She felt a sudden urge to see Joe, to see the young one in her new state. She moved from her place, walking towards the door that he was no coming through. Always doing as she pleased, never making sense to anyone but herself. Would Joe hate her? She figured not. Most people come into this life with a new meaning, regardless to what they thought in the past. It was the fire that Eris had wanted, to unleash it upon the world. Like Scott, Eris could watch the woman just be. Beauty was something beyond the body, Eris was an example of that. In her life, she had been no great catch, but it was her air, her cleverness that had going eyes. Now, even, people looked at her and saw the flawless vampires shell, the body made for seduction, temptation, but it was her mind that drew them in further. She was careful though, to let anyone ~ 18:16:44 [ErisAngelus] in would be dangerous indeed. “ You are slow, I have been waiting..” She said, coming up on Scott now, but looking past him into the room. Unless he stopped her, the goddess would reach out and touch his chest, only a moment before looking up at him. “ The fire…is it there?” Rushed, excited, how strange this woman was! She refused to accept personal space, thinking it a silly thing. One must touch to connect, to feel the other. Be it sexually or casually. Eris, you might say, was a touchy person, and would always be. Most though, this habit of her's, didnt seem bothered by it. 18:22:20 Dior ~She hadn’t really walked that far when she’d left, in all honestly she’d gone but four streets down. They sold wine, that was about all she needed at the moment… wine and a reality check. Guns? Vampire cult delusions, rooms filled with cross bows and stakes, odd… odd people. And why had she given that girl her number? Idiocy perhaps, something like that. Not that it mattered, she hardly expected the girl to call, what was the point, Dior had nothing to offer except criticism & snide comments. No matter, she was away from it now, sitting alone outside one of the old café’s which lined most streets. The place was closing, she still had an almost full bottle of wine left… and truth be told, she wasn’t planning on leaving it. Getting drunk seemed like a valid route to take today. So when the waiter attempted to usher her away politely, she made no effort to stay, instead allowing herself to float off down the street, bottle in one hand, cigarette in the other. <c> 18:22:24 Dior ~Not an unusual sight in Paris, but hey, it wasn’t too late. She could explore.. and she wasn’t drunk –yet- so there was no real danger of getting lost… wait, where had she parked the car again?<f>~ (Crap post just to place char back in Paris, blah blah.) 18:28:39 [`Joe] Even if his words were reassureing, she wasnt so sure about it. Still, for some reason or another, it didnt feel like the feeling she got from Aemilius. It was different. Much older. Turning from the door frame she was leaning against, she faced the door, unsure of what to expect. As Scott moved to the door, she wanted to stop him. To suggest they just stay in, order something and feed from the delievery person. She didnt want to face another ancient. Didnt want to wonder if she'd live through the night or not. But he'd opened the door anyways, and her silent objections went unspoken. It was the woman. The one that had been judge, jury, and executioner for her that night. The one that had told Scott to make her what she was. No, she didnt hate the woman. Just as she didnt hate Scott for what he had done. It was pointless now, anyways. She could never be what she was. Atleast she didnt think so. Oh, the need to kill was still there. To take a vampires life. But none of these.--- 18:28:47 [`Joe] None of the ones that had brought her to this life. She still held that undaunting grudge against those who had taken her parents from her. The ones that had so suddenly forced her into the life she had been leading. For those, she would turn on her kind. For any others, she wouldnt. That was something she'd debated over the long minutes she couldnt sleep last night. Pushing away from the wall, she walked across the floor, bare feet sinking into the plush carpet with each step. Every movement she made was slow and lingering. As if she was trying so hard to maintian it. And she was. It was too easy to just go. Let the speed take her away and leave everything behind. She stopped though, right beside Scott as those crystaline blue eyes landed on the elder woman. "I remember you. Eris." She was even more beautiful now then she had been when she was dieing, and she longed to reach out and touch her. To see if she felt as she looked. Like silk. She stopped herself though, and just stood there, watching. Waiting. 18:36:45 Scott_Masterson was beginning to understand why many vampires chose to dress extravagantly, in expensive suits and dresses that made them appear as rich, elite members of human society. As much as the Armani suit was not his usual style, on any level, he had to admit...it felt good, and appropriate. He was definitely not rich--in fact he had already begun to wonder how he was going to make money stealing in France, with no contacts to fence to--but he certainly was elite, at least as far as human society went, and the expensive clothes reinforced that perception. A slight amount, but still. He felt good. Maybe it was that Joe was with him now, or that he had a companion rather than living in solitude and spending most of his time inside his own mind...whatever it was, he had not felt this...'happy' since he could remember. The rage was still there of course, as was the undeniable urge < 18:36:48 Scott_Masterson to unleash it, but it was somehow softened compared to what it had been thus far. He reconvinced himself that the sense of an ancient's presence was just coincidence. They were in a building owned by a vampire, which housed vampires after all. Maybe it was neither Aemilius or Chanel, or the strange vampire Eris...perhaps someone else altogether, who had no business with them at all and just happened to be residing in the same building. There was always hope. But Aemilius' words were far from forgotten as he opened the apartment door, temporarily feeling like half of a rich couple about to spend a night on the town. The feeling lingered and faded quickly however, upon sighting Eris moving towards him--though it was not replaced by the dread that either of the other elders would have elicited, more a curiosity. 18:36:56 Scott_Masterson He opened his mouth to greet her and stopped momentarily when that hand settled on his chest. He was not used to being touched, either in his previous life or this one, and had to deny the instinct to pull away or flash a 'what-the-fuck-are-you-doing' expression--the later avoided only because he could feel her elder status glowing strong in the back--or rather the front--of his mind. He flashed a feigned apologetic look upon hearing Eris' first words, and was debating whether to apologize or not when the old vampiress spoke again. The confusion was evident in his expression for only a moment before he consciously hid it. She was strange...though he supposed after, presumably, hundreds of years, the mind went through a barrage of changes. In only 27 human years, he had often felt as though he were going crazy < 18:37:02 Scott_Masterson --in ways it was a wonder that all of the ancients weren't completely mad, and spouting gibberish all the time. He mirrored Joe's greeting, giving a simple "Hello, Eris." in response and still wondering just what she had meant. 18:57:00 ErisAngelus smiled seeing Joe, looking almost like a distant aunt would upon seeing a beloved niece. The transformation had turned the woman into something intoxicating to see. Eris’ hand lingered there on Scott, like she forgot about it all together. Had he recoiled from it, the vampire wouldn’t have cared. She didn’t expect people to do things because she was older. As a matter of fact, she made a point to never tell anyone just how old she was. Many felt it, but she never answered the questions in their eyes. There was no need too, and while she felt the need to pry into others lives, Eris was very private about her own. “ Hello darlings.” She said to them both then removed to hand finally to step back and allow them both into the hall. “ Ah yes, many had call Eris insane, batty, am many other such names. It truly was hard for someone like her, the human mind is only made to deal with so much, and vampires after all are first and foremost dead humans. While the mind, like the body is transformed into something ~ 18:57:31 [ErisAngelus] different, the general laws still apply. One of those being, a mind can only handle so much stress before it can break. So, with that said, just how many times has Eris’ mind broken, shatter even? She played her games, always with alternative motives. Just what did she think would happen by telling Scott to turn Joe? Had she even thought it over? Oh yes, in her mind she had gone through the events that she hoped this single action would cause. A single golden apple brought about the fall of Troy, and Eris would think of that as her masterpiece for eternity. For indeed, she had eternity to think about it. Someone once asked her why she had done it, knowing what would happen. Her only answer had been a smile. It would seem she did things simply because she could. Her smile slowly faded, and the goddess’ eyes narrowed a moment. She had gambled that this would work, and so far her bets were pulling in lucky sevens. “ Let us go, I have things I must discuss with you. You need to feed and I have no wish to steal ~ 18:58:33 [ErisAngelus] the whole night from you. Deal with me for a while, then I will let you alone.” Seemed simple enough, and Eris wanted them to understand that she would respect the bond that was not being tied between them. However, like a protective old grandmother, she needed to see that her latest game was set up right. 19:02:57 Dior ~The streets she walked were filled with the pleasantness of Paris, in direct contradiction with London, her home. No ‘hoodies’ on street corners, not one ‘Yer money or yer life!’ muggers, not even a suspicious looking figure in a dark alley way. Such a agreeable city this was, if you put the drama of the last few nights to the side. Which she was. If Gina called, she’d talk… if not, all could go to hell. At the end of the road she walked were yet more lights, probably people that way. People… French speaking people, gawd, she couldn’t stand having to translate another word of that language. It reminded her of long lost parents, so she came to a stop beside one of the many benches. A perfect haven, it was warm, she had wine & cigarettes & taxi money for when the wine was gone. Perfection.~ 19:13:23 [`Joe] Other then the words she had spoken previously, she had stayed relitivly quiet as the all stood there, wondering what was going through each of thier minds. It seemed like time had slowed. Ticking on endlessly as her eyes moved from on to the other and back again. Though, for some reason, she kept looking back at Eris. She guessed she knew now why Scott had stared at her so much. The beauty of the woman was like a painting, trapped forever in time, and just beckoned for people to look. And look. And look some more. The red head was awed by it. Awed so much that she almost didnt hear the womans words. It was then that she was reminded of the hunger that pained her, and simply nodded. She wanted to get out of the building anyways. It had felt like she'd already spent eternity there and simply just wanted to see all of Paris with these new eyes. If they started moving, she would move closer to Scott, wrapping her arm around his at the elbow and looking up to him with a smile. --- 19:13:27 [`Joe] The fact that she was barefoot didnt register in her mind while they walked. It wouldnt even register in her mind once they were outside. It didnt bother her any to have no shoes on. She liked the feel of the things under her feet. It felt new. Different. She'd walk silently beside them, listening to the converstation. 19:18:04 Scott_Masterson resisted the urge to tuck his hands in his pockets, for the same reason he had the previous night when Aemilius had arrived. It wasn't that expected Eris to attack them...it was that the possibility was not inconceivable, and a quick strike with is claws was the only chance he had to buy them enough time to escape, should the need present itself. Or maybe he was paranoid. Either way, his hands hung loosely at his sides as he studied Eris and waited for a reply. His initial estimation of the ancient vampire's beauty had been only slightly too high. She was gorgeous, that was undeniable, and her flawless features would have made any human man--or even a vampire-- doubt his confidence, but somehow Joe seemed much more attractive to him. Maybe that was part of the sire/sired relationship, he did not know...but the intial confusion as to which vampiress was more astonishing had disappeared somewhere between the previous night and the present. 19:18:08 Scott_Masterson He was glad when that hand slid off of his chest. It seemed more an act of intimidation than anything else, though that was likely due to the all-encompassing buzz of that sense telling him she was an ancient than anything else. Though, he couldn't be entirely sure. At the same time, he had to feel incredibly in debt to Eris. If it had not been for her cajoling, he would not have turned Joe at all--he would have torn her to pieces in one of the deepest rages he had experienced thus far. It was also evident that, had Eris not appeared when she originally had, Joe could have very well escaped that night--and the holy water wound may have killed him in the absence of her blood healing it. She spoke again and he glanced only briefly to Joe before < 19:18:15 Scott_Masterson looking back to Eris with a simple nod that said he agreed. " Of course. Take as much time as you want." The response was generous, if not a lie. The presence of ancients demanded so much respect it was exhausting, and as beautiful as she was--and as much as he owed her--a night alone with Joe had seemed infinitely more desirable. He realized again that his thoughts could potentially not be private in her presence, and quickly ended them and replaced the unspoken words with the first thing that occured, music. Suddenly there was nothing in his mind but Led Zeppelin playing, though he realized fully that--if she had been monitoring them--it was far too late to avoid mildly insulting her. But there was no sign of it in her expression, and he took that as a good sign. 19:18:23 Scott_Masterson He gave a slight smile to Joe at the feeling of that arm intertwining with his and began moving when Eris did, towards the elevator and eventually through the apartment's extravagant lobby and into the streets. 19:42:34 ErisAngelus was not one to pry in thoughts. She was content to stay out of the minds of people if they stayed out of hers. Regardless, as her earthy toned doe eyes flicked up to Scott, she couldn’t help but catch a moment where he seemed to regard her as something of a bother. Not that she cared, but it was noted all the same. “ Do not treat me like the others…I hate being made to feel old.” With that she laughed a little and led the way. There was a child like aspect to her when she was in a good mood. Her steps were light and she almost seemed to dance as she lead the way though the apartment building. “ I have not met with the elder of the locals.” She started, looking over her shoulder at the two of them as she walked. Ah, this was indeed a sight she was proud of. The two complemented each other perfectly and time would see if that ‘fire’ was indeed there. Hate and anger were a strange bedmates. Once they were outside, Eris felt she could relax. The building was too small for her, and with as much as her mind ~ 19:43:52 [ErisAngelus] buzzed she couldn’t help but feel like a tiger in a cage with people poking at her. “ I will be visiting the local old fart. However, I can only guess that he has already been here.” She kept walking as she talked, seeming in a rush to get this out of the way. “ As far as I am concerned…” She spun around and looked at the two, something very vicious in those eyes. Eris was a monster, more so then any would ever guess. Whatever her reasons behind things was, they were for her own game. This vampire was so far from human one could almost pin her a demon. Yet, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, she melted into the world so well. “ …nothing will get in your way.” Up to this point, she had looked at the two of them, but as those final words came out, she was focusing completely on Joe. Eris made it very clear now. She was dangerous, and would stop at nothing to get her way. Then, like it had never happened, she melted into that angelic smile. The softness returning and she was once again just a beautiful woman. ~ 19:44:05 [ErisAngelus] “ I will not force my company upon you to. Enjoy Paris!” With that she was gone, already a figure a block ahead of them. It was only a second, a blink of an eye. She left them both gift, bright red lipstick kiss on the right cheek. Was this woman friend or foe? 19:58:24 Dior ~The wine was gone now, but it left behind a slightly tipsy English girl. Had she meant to devour the entire thing? No, not really but there hadn’t been anyone to share it with, except perhaps for the few French boys who’d wandered past, drunk on their own bottles of wine no doubt. Her thoughts trailed sluggishly over the days progress, she felt a little woozy just remembering it all, had she really swiped a gun from some mad man. Ugh… yes, yes you did… what times it? From her bag she pulled a sleek ebony phone, it’s screen flared into life, sending unnatural shadows across apricot toned skin. It was late, ish. Time to go to sleep perhaps. The bottle she left on the bench, a cigarette smouldered away happily between faintly parted lips as she turned back towards The Blue Dreams. No, no, no… driving bad, alcohol consumption critical. Ah, lucky. She wasn’t intoxicated enough to think herself invincible yet. Back tracking slightly she passed the bench with her discarded wine <c> 19:58:26 Dior ~upon it before her pace quickened, dangerously tall high heels clicked noisily against concrete pavement. Many people did she pass, none of them caught her attention. Couples, clinging to one another in the warm French night, so cute they all looked, actually. It was so sweet she might possibly get diabetes’s just from looking at them.<f>~ 20:07:20 [`Joe] As far as vampires went, and she knew a couple, Eris was the most strangest one. Her shifts in demeanor where daunting at best, and kept the red head constantly guessing. She couldnt peg the woman if she tried. And she was trying. A smile, one of those brillant, bright smiles was sent towards Scott as they walked with the elder, listening to her speak. As Eris spoke about Aemilius, she quirked a grin for a moment before her features settled into that easy expression. She had no idea what the womans game was, but she had a feeling that she was a major piece in it. That thought was even more solidified when the woman looked directly at her. She wanted to freeze at the look. Or hide behind Scott. But she simply stood there and smiled. Whe she vanished down the street, Joe watched after her silently for a very long time before saying anything. "I don't get her." she said finally after the woman was long gone, casting her gaze to Scott once more.--- 20:07:34 [`Joe] She hadnt any idea what she meant by people getting in thier way. In their way for what? What was the woman planning. All these questions and more she had planned on asking the woman next time the met. For now, she would do as Eris had said, and for the first time in a long time, enjoy Paris. And there was so much of it to enjoy. The sights. The sounds. The people. All of it was thrilling on a whole new level for her. Oh and how sweet the people smelled. If she didnt watch herself, she'd turn into one or two as the passed to get a better smell. It was while doing this, she caught the very familar scent that had her stopping in her tracks, releasing Scott and turning back to the woman that had passed them. She was infront of her before she could blink, grabbing at her arm with the inhuman speed and strength. "You know Gina." It was a statement more then a question. But to confrim her suspisions, she leaned into the woman and smelled at her, fangs elongating. She didnt want to hurt the woman. --- 20:07:38 [`Joe] No. On the contrary, she had just found her way of getting a message to the people she cared for. "You will give her a message. Tell her that you saw Joe. She is fine. Tell her not to worry, but I wont be coming home. Tell her I fell in with them. She'll know what you mean." If she'd gotten ahold of the woman, she'd let go then, stepping back, the fact dawning on her that she had just showed a mortal what she was. Her eyes went to Scott then, as if questioning to just let this one go. She needed it. |

20:18:40 Scott_Masterson tried hard to maintain nothing but the music playing inside his mind, but it was increasingly difficult, seemingly with each step he took. Too much to wonder about. What did Eris need to talk to them about? Was it the 'illegal' turning of Joe, or something else? And where was Aemilius? Had the old vampire changed his mind and decided not to make an appearance that night? And if so, why? There was also the natural thoughts that wanted to spring up, with the gorgeous Eris just ahead of them and Joe just beside him, the simple gesture of her arm entwined with his seeming undeniably erotic to his vampiric senses. The questions kept flowing, broken only by sporadic bits of more music before they continued unintentionally. Had Eris known that he would face possible punishment for changing Joe and goaded him anyway? And why? < 20:18:43 Scott_Masterson Was it all just a game to one as old as her, to start a conflict and then sit back and watch it unfold? None of them could be answered in his mind alone, and each was tucked away quietly into the back of his mind, either to be asked later or forgotten entirely. It was not as though he could reprimand Eris for misleading him, or detect Aemilius' presence and motivations through thought alone. Instead, he began to listen to the heartbeats all around them now, some faint with distance and others nearly deafening with proximity. He definitely wanted to feed, and could sense the same hunger in Joe--though in her it was even stronger. He hated that they had been sidetracked from their nightly nourishment, even if it was just for a short while. The resumed thoughts were instantly halted when Eris spoke, and he found himself confused as to whether < 20:18:56 Scott_Masterson the statement had been prompted by his thoughts, or it was simply a coincidence. The former seemed far more likely, and despite the intrusion he was only grateful she had not been more insulted. He continued following and listening as Eris' speech resumed, and the decision to resume the music in his mind was quickly ended when she suddenly spun--looking very much angered--and continued speaking, though that feral look in her eyes had him almost anticipating an attack again, despite her protective words. When she added that she wouldn't 'force her presence' on them, and suddenly disappeared, he had to wonder again if it was the result of his thoughts. Simultaneously he became confused. She had stated she had to talk with them about something, and then disappeared. Was it just another example of her mental instability, or had his thoughts insulted < 20:18:59 Scott_Masterson her that much. Yes, being around ancients was definitely exhausting. He almost preferred the company of Aemilius, despite the vampire's moodswings, only because he at least made verbal sense all the time. Scott looked to Joe with an expression that could only be described as 'what the fuck was *that*?', before a small smile erupted, and he found himself wiping lipstick from his cheek with the sleeve of his expensive suit's jacket. " We definitely need to spend some time together away from France. Away from...them." He responded to Joe, scanning the sidewalk far ahead of them and not spotting Eris anywhere. Again, a small part of him wished he could move so fast. The ability gave far too many non-ancient vampires an undeniable < 20:19:06 Scott_Masterson advantage over him, and it was just plain cool. He was surprised when Joe suddenly stopped a passing woman and relayed a message, one that was not hard for him to decipher. Good. Maybe that would stop Joe from trying to deliver news of her whereabouts herself, an action that couldn't have been entirely smart, given her previous acquaintances' presumed profession. He seemed to think for a long moment before responding in a calm voice... " Was showing your fangs really necessary? I'm hoping 'Gina' isn't a hunter like you were...?" Despite the words, the action didn't concern him. He had often relied on humans policing themselves, as far as newfound information on vampires went anyway. It wasn't as though a human claiming to have seen one would be taken seriously by their peers, unless said peers already knew. " Let's eat." <E> 20:30:06 Dior ~She walked alone, eye’s downcast, not out of fear for anything, or lack of confidence… more, to watch where she was walking. There was a distinct possibility that she might fall, alcohol was leaking its way into her blood stream with every second which passed. It definitely didn’t help that she hardly ever drank over the recommended limit, her abuse of wine certainly showed. The once tight bun of hair had fallen somewhat, messy strands of strawberry blonde scattered across her face. “Owch… what the fu--… Gina? Yes… what?” then she flinched, had she caught sight of those elongating fangs? “... Piss off! Bloody vampire fanatics!” she slurred, now quite drunkly at the woman who had hold of her arm. The moment Joe released her, she all but pushed the woman away. Not that it mattered, Joe was already stepping back. “Argh, sick of this!” she hissed, between clenched teeth. A earth shattering glare seared out from behind long, curved eye lashes as she walked away from the two. <c> 20:30:10 Dior ~Hardly giving them a second thought until she reached the hotel. “Are you alright, Ms?” came the familiar voice of a young door man “Yes, yes, fine.” she grumbled & straightened up the faintly rumpled suit. Couldn’t go into this hotel looking… so… drunk. She did it anyway and barely made it to the hotel room. Key in door, she literally fell into the hall way of her expensive ‘palace’ but made it to the bed. Where she proceeded to pass out. Night, night Paris.<f>~ 20:47:37 [`Joe] Vampire fanatic? What had she meant? Was the woman daft to thing that she was just simply some human trying to pull off the 'vampire' look? Absured. It didnt matter though. As long as her message was conveyed, she was happy. Turning back, she shrugged to Scott and gave that innocent look. "Seemed to push a point a little deeper. Not that it worked." Shrugging again, she joined him at his side once more, returning her arm to its previous position. "No, she isnt." It wasnt a complete lie, and she trusted Gina not to go blabbing her mouth to Lidia or coming to find her. It was the safest person she knew to contact inadvertanly to let them know she was, for all intents and purpose, alive. When eating was brought back up, she nodded and smiled. "Lets, I'm starving." She wanted to try and do it outside this time. Like he did. Feed in a dark alley or something. She didnt want to go back inside tonight. Not until they had to. She wanted to experience being the monster she knew she could be. -- 20:47:40 [`Joe] But most of all, she wanted to please Scott. Make him not regret the choice in turning her instead of simply killing her. Practically dragging him along, she pointed her direction to the carnival grounds, pointing at the bright lights from where they were. "Lets go there after we eat." she suggested, looking up at him with a child like smile. 20:58:34 Scott_Masterson accepted her response with a simple nod of his head before he returned to scanning the potential meals walking on the sidewalks around them, his eyes settling on a blonde girl who was either in her late teens or early twenties. " Some of them won't believe even when your teeth are in their throat. There are plenty of gothic teenagers around with expensive dentistry who look like vampires. Their minds are conditioned to lean towards logic. Most of them anyway. Some will believe wholeheartedly, but...they usually understand that talking about it will only lead to forced therapy sessions." He smiled at the idea and only nodded again in response to her statement about eating. " Let's take her. We can both feed, even at the same time. Just have to be careful not to drain her." His eyes shifted only momentarily to the carnival before falling back < 20:58:40 Scott_Masterson on the blonde as his pace quickened. Just like the previous night, he approached from behind, reached a hand over her shoulder, and clamped onto the young girl's throat before dragging her off the sidewalk and into the dark shadows of an unlit doorway to a run-down three story apartment building. He didn't wait for Joe to start, only whispered "Scream and I'll fucking kill you." into the girl's ear before biting deep into her lower neck, each fang finding the jugular just underneath and simultaneously swinging her body slightly to give Joe a view of the other side of her neck. <e> 21:09:01 [`Joe] There was a time, a very long time ago, when the word vampire would have made her slip into a fit of giggles. Those things didnt exist. Or atleast her parents had told her so day in and day out. Even after she started having dreams about them. About someone dieing at the hands of one. Only when did the people she decribed ended in the obits in the local paper did her parents start getting concerned. They continued to tell her, as always, that they didnt exist. It was when she saw, in her dreams, her parents death that she knew that had started to worry. She found out later in life, after the dreams had all but vanished, and she'd been deep into her second proffesion, was she told that her parents, unknown to her, were hunters themselves. It had explained everything to her. The reason they had died. The reason they had acted so werid around her when she told them her dreams. "Gina will believe her. She was raised around me, and we both know how that must have been." --- 21:09:20 [`Joe] She had thaught Gina early in life about vampires and began her training at the age of ten. When she reached eighteen, she would be a full fledged hunter, recieving her own plathora of weapons to hunt with. She couldnt tell Scott that though. She could, inadvertantly gotten them hunted with her actions. But she strongly believed that Gina would keep quiet. As Scott set his sights on the blond and pulled her in, she simply watched for a moment before she joined him at the girls oppisite side. However, she didnt go for the neck. Instead, she lifed the girls wrist and froze. Those paniced thoughts and scattered memories wracked her mind for a span of twenty seconds before they disappeared. Shaking her head, she lifted the wrist and sunk her elongated fangs into the flesh, the spurt of warm blood almost making her moan. She fed until she heard the heart beat start to fade, dropping the wrist and watching Scott. No blood had made its way out of her mouth as it had with the man last night, --- 21:09:24 [`Joe] though some still lingered on her lips. Running her tongue over them, she simply stood and watched until Scott had finished. 21:17:33 Aemilius Would have been spending most of his night inside the comfort of his club, the Blue Lady. But unlike the many nights before, he spent it inside the basement. Down in the dark, moister, area there would be a secret door that leads into another chamber. A unseen portion of the club that only a select few knew of. It was another club, the heart and soul of Blue Lady, Kindred. This secretive entrance was guarded not only by two men, but by three blood fed dogs. It would be a apposing sight, to see the three Doberman pinchers sitting at attention while glaring at a bank vault door. The two guards would be in fine clothing, looking more statues as they stood perfectly still. This inner club was known to be a sanctuary for all vampires. Aemilius would make sure this small portion of the club would be unnoticed by mortals, due to the security cameras and other secret entrances. Those whom graced this secret location would bestow their eyes on gothic, Victorian setting.-c- 21:18:02 Aemilius . Candles lit the room rather then electric lights, violins played a soft tune in the dimly lit room, mingling with the cigarette smoke that drifted in the air. Moans of passion, and pain fettled with the music softly, but one corner of the room would be still with out any sound. It was Aemilius, sitting alone watching the children of his blood line feed, and enjoying them selves. Even he was tempted to join in on the feeding that was commencing around him, but the creature enjoyed the torture he put him self through by not feeding. The hunger was one of the only feelings he truly had, it drove him like love commands two lovers. Savoring the temptation of feeding, he simply sat, watching the bloody frenzy. In truth he waited for his meal to be delivered to him, earlier that night he had selected one young female to be brought to him. One of his hopeful vampire wanabes had been flirting with the young girl for hours, and invited Nicolette to a secluded party, or so he said. -c- 21:21:49 Aemilius The hansom man used his charm, and good looks to lure the girl into following him. Nicolette would have no idea that she had been selected to be fed off of. And if she followed the young man, she would get the distinct feeling that death sat upon her shoulders. If she didn’t follow him, he would leave her alone, and signal the guards to grab her forcibly. And if it were the latter of the two, the guards would make a loud commotion. Speaking loud enough for the others of the club to hear them, “Thief, now your going to Jail!” Of course the girl had stolen nothing, nor would she have been whisked off to jail, but she would be taken to a worse place. Yet even as he sat, teasing his oldest of emotions, he felt something in the air. The feeling brought a remote memory to his surface thoughts, Eris was near. Knowing full well the woman would be drawn to his pull, like many others are, he allowed his dark gift to ebb off of him more freely.-c- 21:22:10 Aemilius It would be like a beckon calling to those that could feel it, requesting them to venture towards its location.-e- 21:30:48 Scott_Masterson didn't notice the odd hesitation from Joe, or the shake of her head as if trying to clear it, only the sudden drop in pressure in the bloodflow as her fangs broke the surface of the girl's wrist and the blood was redirected a second time. A few small choking squeaks escaped the girl's lips but were stifled quickly enough with added pressure to her throat, though this time he was careful not to crush the esophagus as he had the night previously. It was over way too fast, almost as soon as that euphoric glow was fully realized. He hesitated only briefly when her heart began to slow and the stream began to thin out, not wanting to end the feeding so soon but knowing they were in a bad location to be leaving--or moving--a body. He pulled his fangs out, each set glistening in the ambient light of the moon as he raised his head slightly with a sigh that was somehow both < 21:30:51 Scott_Masterson invigorated and disappointed at the same time. His hunger was only partially satiated, and knew Joe probably needed more as well, at least sometime before the night was through, but for now it would do--and the intoxicating effect was just as satisfying as ever, that warm glow sliding through his entire body and warming it temporarily. He laughed a quieted laugh and dropped the girl to the concrete slab of a floor beneath them, and then almost forcefully pulled Joe close to kiss her hard, his blood-coated tongue finding hers whether she reciprocated or not and lapping playfully for a long while before he drew back and leaned against the wall, forcing a long sigh. " Fuck I love that." He spoke in an almost exasperated voice, patting his pockets for cigarettes befo and re re-remembering he had none. 21:31:00 Scott_Masterson " I was a bit of a junkie in life. Hard to believe, I know. But that....that blows heroin out of the fucking water." He knew it would never get old. Not given a hundred, or even a thousand years to do so. After a shirt moment he wiped the blood from around his mouth onto the expensive jacket's sleeve, and let his eyes settle on Joe--somehow looking even more incredible with the intoxication. The girl's heartbeat was weak, but strong. She would recover. Hopefully she wasn't raped or worse in the meantime, though he wasn't too concerned. " So...Carnival time?" He smiled widely at Joe, licking the remaining vitae from his fangs and then pushing off the wall, stepping back onto the semi-lit sidewalk and staring at the hypnotic lights of a ferris wheel, perfectly framed against the nighttime silhouetee of the Eiffel tower in the distance. 21:43:37 [`Abigail] Sitting on a bench in the center of the carnival, Abigail moved one leg over the other, wearing the same white dress that she had the previous night, though she had donned a pair of shoes, soft ballerina-looking slip-ons. Also added to her attire was a side bag, containing several different supplies. Some food, hairspray, cigarettes, and at least six lighters. Humming lightly, she closed her eyes as she took in the energy around her, her face flushing slightly as she took just a little bit too much, causing her head feel a bit light, almost as though she were drunk on it all. Slowly letting her grey eyes scan the carnival, she let a smile spread over he face a thin sort of expression. There was nowhere that she needed to be, there never was. Her family, what was left of it, cared little where she went or what she did. Hell, they were happy to see her walk out the door, she tired them out so badly. She felt guilty feeding off of her family but at least when they were complaining to each other they were not-- 21:43:55 [`Abigail] yelling or throwing things. She could not stand it when they fought, but she refused to try to fix it, she had no qualms about manipulating those she did not know, but her flesh and blood were off limits. 21:43:50 [Nicolette] There was no feeling of indifference with the gentleman she spoke with, more or less flirted with. Nicky's hair occassionally being pushed off her shoulder. Those blue eyes studying the man infront of her. There was a sense of trust with her and this man, but something in the way the question of going to secluded party with him, sort of sent a shiver down one's spine. Nicolette would watch him go and only follow him half way, before her fears and intuition set in. When he looked back at her, she'd shake her head and turn her small, petite body to go. She'd have a goodbye and head out into the crowd of people. It wouldn't be long until hands would sieze her, grabbing her roughly. The guards would have no problem picking her off her feet and dragging her off. Feet kicking, Nicolette would struggle. "Put me down!" She'd cry out, which would be only answered by, "Thief, you're going to jail!" Her eyes opening and closing, dumbfounded. "But I did nothing!" Would be her response as she was carried out of the ---- 21:44:30 [Nicolette] moving swarm people and into darkness. She didn't know where exactly they took her. Nicolette heard grows of dogs, and would soon find her in a different portion of the club. This is where she would be released. She'd study her surroundings and be startled, not to mention horrified at the sight and sounds within' this portion of the club. This is where her Dark Fantasy would be answered... Yes there were Vampires out there, and she has been thrown into the mix. Nicolette knew there had to be something different about this club and now she knew. How naive. Running her hands through her hair to act like a stress relief, though it didn't seem to work. She'd slowly make her way into this portion of the club, knowing full well she most likely wouldn't be able to get out. The feeling of eyes on here was uncanny and hard to shake off. It wasn't hard to know she must smell of something good to them. At least, that's what she'd read in her fictional books. Though she'd realize that that young gentleman she had been -- 21:44:35 [Nicolette] peaking to, that must have been wanted to bring her here was no where in sight. That thought didn't help her calm down any as she took one small step at a time farther in. Was she set up? 21:51:05 [`Joe] It couldnt get any better then this, could it? Sated, almost satisfied with the fresh meal she'd shared with her sire, she felt like she was again floating on cloud nine. Would it be like this every time she fed? The euphoric feeling that seemed to wash over her. Her skin, so drastically pale, only seemed to glow more fromt he fresh feed, her eyes seemed to shine more. Before she could step away from the woman though, she found herself being pulled into Scott to recieve a hard, astounding, kiss. Her own tongue flashed out to meet his in its playful lapping manner, her arm moving to wrap around his neck loosly, her body pushing into his. The kiss lasted for far to short then she would have liked, but she knew they couldnt stand there, with a body beside them and make out till the sun came up. When it had finally broke, held onto him for a moment longer before she moved away and let out a satisfied sigh. Reaching her hand up, she traced her buttom lip with her thumb, clearing the blood, --- 21:51:09 [`Joe] before sticking the thumb into her mouth to suck it clean. After a moment, she lifted her shirt and used the underside to clear the rest away before dropping it and smoothing it into place. The mark would simply look like a lipstick mark, nothing more. "I'm going to have to take your word for that. I've never done heroin." Smiling, she stepped down with him and looked towards the carnival and answered him with a nod. The carnival seemed like the most perfect place to spend her first full night as a vampire. Taking his hand she pulled him down the street, heading towards the noisy place. 21:51:58 ErisAngelus was never one to do as people said she should. When she came to Paris, she had no idea just who the master was here. She should have smelt it, noticed it in some way. But, time has a way of fogging the memory. She felt him, Aemilius, and knew him. Had it been so long since they had last met? Her memory played tricks on her, reminding her of the dark vampire. As she walked, she felt that pull, like a tug at her mind. Of course he would want her there, of course she would go, but not yet. She would make him wait, make him tap his fingers in anticipation. Was he still up to his tricks, playing the king of his little bloodline. Eris found pleasure in this. Her little game just got so much better. With Aemilius, the little plan she had for Joe and Scott just took a twist she was more than happy to take and run with. A hand lazily trailed over the iron fence in front of one of the apartment buildings. There, a small child sat playing with some little hand held game. Unlike others of her kind, Eris felt no pull ~ 21:52:24 [ErisAngelus] of hunger, no need to fill an unquenchable thirst. She simple didn’t. Stopping, with her head tilted the old goddess stood there watching the little girl wondering what her life will be like. Ah yes, life. It would seem for one as much a monster as she, there are strange little quarks to her games. Her eye lashes fluttered, like she was wakening from a dream. Reaching up, she brush those dark curls from her face, turning an expressionless face to the club where Aemilius waited for her. Calling her, no summoning. She hated answering like a puppy, that why she was making him wait. The old vampire would go on her own accord. Eris let her heels clink along the road as she walked. Lazy, like this was some chore. In truth, she was pleased, always happy to see an old friend. Entering the club, she made her way past the people until she was in the center of the dance floor. Here, letting the music engulf her body, she would make Aemilius come to her. 22:11:13 Scott_Masterson 's eyes had momentarily regained their familiar red glint with the feeding, though any human who passed on the sidewalk would presume it a reflection of the carnival lights across the street rather than the supernatural indicator that they actually were. He could even feel the slight pressure of his claws pushing against his fingertips from the inside, practically begging to poke through, through no conscious effort of his own. He found himself wishing they had gone back to Le Romantica, where blood could be served in the back rooms just as easily as beer could be found in any of the cafes that dotted the streets around them. It was impossible not to grow a sense of greed when it came to blood. Just like heroin. Even at the peak of a high, he wanted more, or at least to know that more had been secure and was available at any moment. If he could have, he would drink every time until he was overflowing, and the < 22:11:36 Scott_Masterson stuff dripped from his nostrils and ears. His eyes flickered away from the lights across the street, back to Joe, and he had to smile again, revealing those fangs just as they slowly slid back into his gums and out of sight. The intoxication of the feeding mixed with the natural one that she elicited, and he fought the urge to kiss her again, only because she spoke, and summoned him to follow with a tug of his hand. He smiled before speaking, eyes not leaving her... " I figured as much. Well you didn't miss out on anything. It certainly wasn't better than that, and it wouldn't have done much for your good looks. A few more months and I probably would have been little more than a skeleton when the change was made." He gave a gentle tug, directing her < 22:11:39 Scott_Masterson to stop while he moved into a store and bought cigarettes, the language barier with the store's french clerk causing only a minor annoyance due to his swimming mind. He re-emerged and lit one, taking a long satisfying drag before grasping her hand again and beginning to move towards the carnival entrance. He spoke without much forethought, just for the sake of conversation--something he usually avoided but felt compelled to do in the fog of elation brought on by the feeding. " So how many vampires did you kill in life? Many? Or had you just begun your quest?" He was interested in knowing if she had been a solitary hunter, or if there was some sort of 'guild' of them, who perhaps even now were looking for her. It was hard not to worry about such things, knowing the effectiveness that she had shown all by herself. Dealing with ancients was enough trouble < 22:11:46 Scott_Masterson , and aside from the 'tactical' purpose for gaining such knowledge, he wanted to know about Joe. Everything about her. 22:11:05 Aemilius Sat very still, letting his age do the work of summoning the one’s attention he sought. The feeling would go unnoticed to most, and mortals simply played it off as nothing more then a warm gust of wind rushing through the city. This was no wind, it moved with intelligence, turned corners in search of its master’s desire. Washing over immortals, and mortals alike in its attempt to find her. Eris could feel the warmth clinging to the air, and upon it she could gather the scent of Aemilius, whom she knew as Emil. It was a pet name that few knew, and even fewer felt comfortable calling him. While the elder sat idle with his eyes shut attempting to request Eris to join him, the others of the room became silent. Those vampires that surrounded him, felt his unspoken summon, and became still as if in fear of disturbing him. It wasn’t until the young girls voice screamed beyond the thick vault door, that Emil opened his eyes. Once again another level of silence befell those inside of this concealed room.-c- 22:11:41 Aemilius Like the roman public watching a dying gladiator, all twenty vampires sat still, eyes glued upon the young girl as waiting to watch their sire/grand sire take her life. “Welcome,” he said in a warm voice, “to Kindred. Do you not like it,” his ancient Latin accent laced its self to each of his words. Lifting up his hands from their resting place, the white leather arm chair, he would hold them up as if offering the sighs and sounds of the room to her. “Come, see it from my angle,” he said in a seductive voice as he brushed his lap. Immediately the vampires whom watched her started to giggle and smile. Some even hissed softly as jealousy for the woman’s invitation, ate away at their gut. But she wouldn’t be able to notice anything but his eyes. She could feel his gaze reaching into her, compelling her to let her guard down. Simultaneously the man’s beauty began to present its self fully, as he leaned forward into the soft revealing glow of a candle.-c- 22:14:19 Aemilius All the while before his features were cloaked in shadow and smoke. Aemilius offered her a soft smile, like a husband would offer his wife before having her for the night. “Come, it is the most comfortable seat in the building,” half chuckling as he spoke. Indeed this was all another tease to him, he could have fed from her the second she walked in with out her knowing of it. Like a large cat, he toyed with his food first before enjoying its sustenance. The macabre audience giggled and whispered to each other, some even dared to glare at their master. Pretending it was them he offered his lap to. While this played out, a portion of his mind would linger on Eris. “Where was she,” he thought while his hungry eyes locked on Nicolette. Like a itch that you where unable to scratch the thought dug at him. Almost overcoming the churning of his hunger, and foreshadowed irritation.-e- 22:26:25 [`Joe] As quickly as the females thoughts, fears, memories had fled before she'd began to feed, they returned. Plagueing her mind as they all played out before vanishing again. She was a student. Studying to become some sort of scientist. She had a boyfreind she suposidly loved, and it was his name that kept passing through her mind as they fed. It was discouraging to know that the man hadnt been a one time experience. Even more discouraging was the fact that she was going to have to go through this each time she fed. Would it make it more difficult in time to do so? Those thoughts picking at the compassion she had had during life? Or would it not bother her. For now, all she cared about was the fed. The feel of the fresh blood moving inside her. She didnt care who the girl was, or where she came from. She just wanted the blood. As Scott spoke, she nodded, knowing the effects of heroin, having seen it first hand with a freind that she'd distanced herself from. While he spoke, --- 22:26:47 [`Joe] she contimplated telling him that it had happened again. The transfer of thoughts, but decided against it for now. There was always later. When he stopped and slipped inside the store, she listened as he struggled with the translations and almost went to his aid. But soon enough he had rejoined her and started walking again. His question had her stopping, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. Why would he want to know something like that, she thought, wondering what his motives was. "A couple." she answered at first, slightly stand offish about the subject. "Alright," she started, shaking her head. "I don't like telling you this. I don't want you thinking less of me for what I was." She took in a deep breath. However un-needed it was, it made her feel better. Calmer. "I've killed more then I can count. I've been years. I trained until I was eighteen, at which time I was old enough to go out on my own, or in groups with the guild. I normally worked by myself.--- 22:26:51 [`Joe] Sometimes Lidia, the woman that works at the store, went with me. But most of the time I was alone. Like I was when I first met you." She didnt know what good could come from telling him all this, but he wanted to know, and somewhere deep inside, she wanted to tell him. She started moving again, unless he stopped her, hoping he would drop the subject, but doubting it would be so easily dismissed. 22:27:53 ErisAngelus let her tongue roll over her teeth as she continued to ignore Emil. She moved from one partner to the next like they were going out of style. Yet, none of this was enough to calm her curious nature. She had told herself she would make him wait, that she refused to let him call her like that. Yet, a bit of her wanted nothing more to sit with him in the silence that only those as old as they could understand. Words are not needed all the time, and in ways they get annoying. Many night they had sat together and discussed such philosophies. It was inevitable, and he knew it, that she would give in. Like a cat, she could only watch the fish so long before she had to stick her paw in there. Even when he was young Emil was born to be and ‘Elder’. As were people put Eris upon a stool because of her age and strangeness, his had always been by nature. Sliding through the people, she knew that the door overlooked was the one she wanted. She would figure there would be guards, but then again, could anyone guard a~ 22:28:30 [ErisAngelus] thing against this woman? If she truly put her mind to doing something, it was done. Still, she was admitted into the ‘vampires lounge’. No sign of him, but she knew he was so close. She could almost feel like, almost taste. She was distracted by the room, watching the little young things play. “ …oh, wonderful.” She let her honey sweet voice drip with a thick sarcasm. Seating herself, she was not alone for very long before two young males approached. They both needed to hesitate, but use each other as enough reason to go on. Lazily, the goddess watched them stalk her, like she was some kind of treat. 22:36:44 Nicolette arms would fall around her figure, hugging herself tightly. It was eerie that warm gust of wind. Unknowing that it was him summoning one other, not thinking rational of the situation. Her blue eyes would shine in the dim light, while the light danced down the fair skin that was exposed due to her black lacey halter mini dress. Her flats would make small tapping on the ground beneath her before she came to a hault. Nicolette froze in place, like playing freeze tag at a young age. She would be in the middle of the moist, dark room, her eyes would scan her surrounds to see those watching her. Though not having to looks to know all eyes were on her. Nicolette would find her bottom lip between her teeth, fear stricten. The voice that ame from the silence would startle her out of her thoughts, jumping slightly. She'd bring her head around to face in the direction it came. She'd what until he was done addressing her before speaking. Not knowing how she could reply to probably a rhetorical question about if she -- 22:36:47 [Nicolette] liked this dungeon like room. Her answer would come slow and would be soft spoken, only the immortal could hear the french-accented female, "It's quite dark.." The only thing that she could think to say with so many things running through her pretty little head. "... and I think I've seen quite enough..." Nicolette would let one gulp of air and a shiver run up her spin. Though before she could look away from him, his gaze would catch hers and she'd feel a pull. The things she said just didn't seem to matter all so much. Her guard drop easily, being quite weak and fragile. She'd have her wall tumble down, even with the hissing, the giggles and laughter from those around her. She'd slowly begin to move towards him, those shoes tapping gently on the ground once more. In the back of her mind, she knew she was being toyed with, played like a doll on strings. The feeling was not a friendly one, not one normally would like to have but she was stuck. 22:42:38 Scott_Masterson eyed the nighttime crowd in the carnival ahead of them, not with the usual hate-filled eyes that the sight would bring to him, but with one of curiosity--and relief. Maybe the absence of disdain for the humans was rooted in the goddess at his side, or maybe in the knowledge that if Aemilius did show up, he wouldn't be able to attack them in public--not that he thought the old vampire intended to, he had already proven otherwise, but he had recognized the capacity for limitless rage in the ancient's eyes the previous night...and the vampire Eris left questions as to the sanity of the elders in general. It was entirely possible that Aemilius' friendship was just as fickle as Eris' sanity. Though there were doubts as to just how much safety a public setting offered from the elders. Maybe they could control vampires just as some vampires could, presumably, control humans. 22:42:41 Scott_Masterson The thoughts were dismissed when his eyes fell back on Joe, the lights around them reflecting in those perfect blue eyes and giving them a quality he would not have been able to describe if asked. It was not a human quality entirely, but somehow akin to a childlike optimism. He couldn't help but imagine a young Joe opening presents on Christmas morning, surrounded by the family she had lost--though the image was lost when she responded, and he was very much surprised by what he heard. He was silent the entire time she spoke, playing each word carefully over in his mind and considering them carefully. His eyes jumped to an especially idotic looking clown as they passed, the french coming from the man's mouth somehow making Scott hate him more as he began to respond to Joe... 22:42:50 Scott_Masterson " Think less of you?" he laughed genuinely, squeezing her hand a little and giving a look of absurdity... " I'm impressed. Very impressed. I had imagined one or two, to be honest--and even that was impressive. I had imagined you had only been at it a few years. But, you trained since you were basically a child? That's awesome." He smiled again, a newfound respect forming for her--along with the realization of just how close that bolt had brought him to death a handful of nights of ago. The information that there was in fact a guild was tucked away for later before he continued... " It's amazing that you're not dead." He realized the absurdity of the statement and laughed slightly. She was dead, of course. 22:42:57 Scott_Masterson " You have to tell me everything. I want stories. I've been a vampire for a year, and you must know more than I do. Much more..." <E> 22:55:42 [`Joe] The laughter. The screams. The all out amusement that emmitted from the carnival brought a smile to her lips. She hadnt been to a carnival since before her parents had died. And a Paris carnival was so much better then the Califonian ones. There seemed to be so many more games to be played and rides to ride. And the clowns that weaved throught that people almost brought a gleeful laugh from her. She watched as Scott eyed the french speaking clown that passed them and smiled, shaking her head. However, to her dismay, he continued on the converstation. However, the response he had given was something she hadnt expected. He seemed excited about the information, however breif it was, she'd given. "I was a child. No more then eight when my training began. And I killed my first vampire at the age of ten. Not by choice mind you. But by nesessity of my life." She couldnt count on both hand the times that she'd been attacked and had to evade death by fangs before she even reached adult hood. ---- 22:55:46 [`Joe] It was amazing that she wasnt dead, in the complete sence, that was. She was very lucky to have not been turned sooner. Again, there were rules against that, she knew. A child was not to be taken and made into what they were. "Those will come." she promised, placing a kiss to his cheek. "For now, let's just enjoy the night." 23:07:00 Scott_Masterson maintained his awed expression as she explained further, and briefly switched to one of utter disbelief when she claimed to have killed her first at only ten years old. "Jesus...!" He spoke in a surprised voice, one he did not use often. Had she been anyone else he would have presumed her to be lying, but there was no reason for her to. So many questions wanted to be asked, he could barely keep track as they began popping up. It was only her final statement that stopped him from assaulting her with them. He didn't need vampiric senses to detect her hesitation at the subject, and there was plenty of time for education. The most surprising tidbit was just how early the hunters began their training, though he suspected it was necessary to develop skills that would give them a fighting chance against vampires. 23:07:03 Scott_Masterson He had a brief mental flash of how she had flipped over him back in that alley where they had first met, and how she had managed to break a grip around her throat by surprising him with a strong kick--only to do a backflip and retrieve a crossbow from her bag in what must have been a second, maybe two. Somehow this altered his perception of her a great deal, mostly in the amount of respect he allotted her, and it again took effort not to continue the line of questioning. He lifted his hand, bringing hers with it, and kissed the top of hers gently, a simple gesture that he was somehow even more enamoured with her than before. <B>"Sure. For now, we'll enjoy the night. But you've got a lot of talking to do. As your master I command it."</I> He grinned slightly, 23:07:11 Scott_Masterson to make it clear that he had been joking, and then forced himself to pull his eyes from her and scan the scene around them. |
