The city was moving about and life was brought back into the city morning. Kochou was on the sidewalk on one of the main roads. There were so many stores lined in a row. Some food centers , clothing shops, fashion, etc. So much hussle turn Kochou off. Way off; but her mind was set on how to live her life. She started on her way to Titans Tower. On the way, there was a little girl, no more than 5, running across a bussy street. The mother was screaming for the girl to stop and come back as a speedy car came rushing to make the light above the girl. Kochou bolted toward the girl and wrappd her in her elf arms. The girl gave a loud scream--a crash and people gasping, running to the scene. Kochou opened her ice blue eyes to see she was in utter darkness. Her butterfly wings had opened up on their own to save herself and the crying child. Once she stood up, she found her legs were all scraped up and stung like hell. Kochou winced as she opened her wings, that she found out were also all cut up, and handed the girl to the distraught parent. Blood seems to only be coming from Kochou's wings and her legs. Everything else; including the girl, were alright. Kochou still moved to Titans tower, not as quickly though but none the less she was moving to it. |

“Frostbolt.” The young mage released a spark of magic from his snapped fingers with the final arcane words left his lips, and as the blue spark left its source, it quickly transformed into a ray of bluish hue as it extended itself towards the winged creature flying upon the dark horizon. The bat-like creature let out a wolf-like howl as the palish blue energy bolt, like a comet, streaked towards it as it leaves an almost translucent tail. As the blue energy erupted itself as it crashed into the creature, the bat-like creature let out a final howl as its maddening red eyes quickly dimmed and its black skin becoming a dark blue like those of an ice statue. In fact, it was becoming one. As it struggled in the air, the young male below reached for his gun that was still in his shoulder holster. It was standard procedure that all agents were equipped at all times. With a quick whip, the Glock was aimed at the last remaining gargoyle that was still flying, and with a loud bang, the creature shattered into a million small pieces… Cherub let out a deep breath as he walked over to where the gargoyle fell. Nothing remained of the arcane monstrosity as he stepped on pieces of stones and rocks, some still covered with a chilling layer of ice. He was a bit tired from the combat, something that he was still trying to improve with his current body. His body… worked well enough with his magic alone, but was pathetically weak in regards of handling combat situations. If compared, his old body was thousand times stronger than this one. At least he used to be able to withstand a direct assault from a goddess. Looking at himself, with his ALICE over what left of his long-sleeved- um, sleeveless shirt and his black pants, he reached out for his communicator in his pocket and started to speak with his young, immature voice. “Sir, Telos here. Gargoyles eliminated and threat neutralized. Over.” “Good job, Telos. We’ll send a team over for the clean up job. Go home and get some rest. Over.” A deep voice came over from the communicator. “Understood. Telos, over and out.” And then he looked over the horizon, which started to brightened bit by bit… -------------->Later That Day<----------------- He was psychologically tired, as his magic could easily treat the physical aspect of being tired. Nevertheless, a night without sleeping and a long battle with a flight of gargoyles can prove to be a test for his endurance. A test he had passed, but not exactly with flying colours. If his mother had seen him like this, he would no doubt be ordered to take a shower and hustled off into the bed. As his thought turned towards his mother, a genuine smile appeared on his face. She was the only reason why he bound himself to this place far longer than he should have. The sweet feeling from the very deepest part of your soul can be very addicting, and it was especially addicting for someone to have never tasted such a sweet nectar, an ambroasia from the heavens. Then, he could hear a commotion in front of him. He looked over, and he could see people opening way for a bloody woman… A woman with butterfly wings, no less. A woman that he recognized from yesterday, the elf… Eavesdropping from nearby witnesses had given him clues. Indeed, she was a brave young lady. He stood in front of her, blocking her way. He raised his hand, silver white flame dancing violently on his palm. Without giving any sign, he waved his hand in the air and the flame burst into a silver pyre, and quickly engulfed Telos and Kouchou. Telos could feel his flame washing away his bodily fatigue and exhaustion, and the flame also quickly healing Kouchou’s wounds. As the flame disappeared, Kouchou’s wounds were quickly healed, her wings as good as new. “The least you could do was to keep yourself away from harm while performing heroic deeds. We don’t need a dead heroine.” And he gave her a grin. |

Kochou stepped back from Telos, her head slightly tilted to the side. "Why did you do that?" She asked, "It would have healed in a few weeks...Forget it, I don't really care. Thank you." Kochou walked around Telos and still headed for Titans Tower. Once she reached the beach; there she would fly on over. A thought floated into her head--'How did Telos know she was walking down this street? Did he just happen to over hear her or...was he watching her?' Kochou kept her face the same as she walked but then she went at a quicker pace and went through more people. Weaving in and out of crowds trying to loose Telos. Her meeting Telos at the mall, being able to go to Titans Tower, and now this. Everything was falling into place and Kochou couldn't understand why he was everywhere and seemed to know so much about well--everything. Once she finally reached the beach she caught her breath and stretched out her wings. |

"I see." He commented blankly. He was now even more exhausted mentally after using his magic to aid her, and this was what he got. A note of 'I don't care' with a 'thank you'. He thought all elves were gracious. Apparently there was an exception. As she walked passed her, his eyes became cold. Dead cold. Then as quick as it came, his dark eyes became as clear as before, without a sign of frigid. He turned and looked at the woman, who was trying her best to walk away from him. She would join the Titans soon... and then, what? He let out a weak smile as he walked down another path, completely opposite to where Kouchou had tread upon. The tiredness was creeping down on him, and he should get some rest before doing what he was supposed to do. Speaking of which, his 'scouts' should be waiting for him right now... |
