The noise in the mall seemed to grow and grow as the hurds of people rolled in. Kochou was walking in there just so she could try and find if anyone else had powers like her. But ofcorse her powers only came from her elf blood. None the less, she still wanted to be in a crowd that used their powers for a reason, a good reason. Not just to show off willy-nilly but to save lives or make their own lives better. As Kochou rounded the corner, she found herself looking at a food court. She was a bit hungry, but she wasn't in the mood to eat what was being offered. She more wanted to eat...paper. Or a magazine. Something loose like that. She started to walk around quietly trying to find napkins to munch on. |

He was bored. Aye, bored. After living for hundreds of years in the other world, it was only natural for him to feel bored when there was nothing for him to do. The Titans were currently unapproachable, making his mission not going anywhere. Of course… He could go back home and start doing some magical experimentation on the Weave of this world. Indeed, there were a lot of curiosities revolving the Weave. He opened his eyes as he sat on one of the benches in the mall, with people walking to and fro from every shop, or just walking from one walkway to another, or just standing there bickering with one another, or just standing there doing nothing. It was crowded, and his seemingly glowing blue eyes scanned from one person to another. It was not a good behaviour to spy on someone completely unrelated. Then there she was, like a beacon burning, glowing in the vast darkness. He looked at her stunned as the light shone all around her, pulsing like a blaring siren. He quickly dispelled his eyes, only to see a girl… a beautiful girl striding among the people… the mortals… He knew it. She was an elf… "What in the Nine Hells is an elf, out of all places, doing here?" |

Kochou finally found her napkins and threw them into the pockets of her cloak. Since her hood was down, she could see everything clearly. She then noticed someone looking her way. She blinked at first, just to make sure it was her this person was looking at. She then picked herself up and moved towards this man. Once she was infront of him she asked rather straight forward, "Who are you?" She didn't yell or demand this information, she just wanted to flat out know who this man was. She didn't see him as a threat. Just a certain someone who caught her eye in a human mall. |

"Who are you?" When he was back to his senses, said elf was standing right in front of him, questioning him. He knew it was awfully rude to stare at a lady, especially a lady elf from where he originated from. But to hear an elf spoke English to him… that was something new. He thought elves usually spoke Elven, or Sylvan. In fact, he hadn’t seen an elf since he came to this world… “First of all, I would like to apologize for staring at you like that.” He told her in English. And to confirm his suspicions, his next sentence came out in Elven. “My name is ‘Telos’, madam. I mean you no harm… I was merely surprised of seeing one of your kinds in such a place.” His tongue twisted a bit as he introduced himself. His skills with the language was growing rusty... perhaps it was time to pick up one of those dusty tomes again. |

Kochou nodded her head and was surprised he knew Elven. She figured he liked speaking in this language so she went on in her speech in Elven. "Kochou. I can tell you don't want any trouble, thats why I approached you.” She then tilted her head to the side, letting her long light blue hair come falling down, “How do you know Elven? You do not look like an elf. Tell me, which is your forest?” For a moment, Kochou actually thought she found a real elf. She was sort of excited but her face did not change emotion. As she awaited the young man’s reply, she thought to herlself, ‘Chances are he isn’t. And if he isn’t an elf, I’ll have to switch back to English.’ |

So the elves here still live in the forest? Ha... It seems elves in every world lived differently from each other. The young male smiled as the thought crossed his mind. "Indeed, I am not an elf. I am mostly human. But I do have quite a lot of experiences with your kind... though they were definitely not a part of your... forest." He told her in Elven. "Anyway, I never thought I would see one of your kind here." His tongues rolled out English, as he felt enough with his curiosities at the moment. There was no need for him to pry into her privacy. Still, to see an elf roaming around the street was... exotic enough. He wondered why no one ever noticed her... |

"I asumed so," said Kochou in english, "No one seems to have left home." The elf girl turned to look at the people passing by. They did not have a care in the world. To Kochou, they looked like a bunch of idiots, no matter how smart they were. they were all idiots in their own way. But she always wanted humans to be idiots. To Kochou, idiots, crazyness, stupidity, jokes, funny buissnes ect.--It was all annoying to her. She wanted to get out of this mall now that she found someone who was out fo the ordinary. "Telos," she said bluntly in Elven just so that no one else would understand, "What are your powers? Surely you know of some magic or warrior skills if you speak the tounge of Elven." |

As the girl asked him of what fighting or magical prowess he possesses, he could only smile. It had been a long time since he felt like this… Since he felt like he was back in the Crystal Sphere of Toril. For once, it made him felt like… home, although he was very sure that his place was here, and not somewhere else. ”I am a mage, Kochou.” He told her modestly in Elven as he nodded to the elf slightly. ”I have some knowledge about your kind, but it was of a...” He stopped for a while, trying to find a suitable word. Elves in the world he lived in was a complex race by itself. There were the High Elves, the Sun Elves, the Wild Elves, the Moon Elves and the Star Elves… And these were only the more common ones, and he had not count in the Drow. ”…different sort. The complexity involved in identifying and categorizing a race is much more than what most people had ever imagined. And more so for the Elven race.” ”You look… uneasy. Was there something wrong?” He asked her in the Elven Tongue as he took note of her agitation. It seemed like she didn’t like being in this place… but then again, what was she doing here in the first place if she didn’t like it? Indeed, he was intrigued. |

Kochou was thrown off by his smile. She did not find anything funny about how she asked the question or what the question was. Kochou was confused by Telos's actions but at the same time wanted to understand. But none the less she was pleased that she had found someone who was not human. She knew what he was talking about. The different classifications. "My grandfather was a Drow. He saw the error of his ways and spent his life with my grandmother, who was one of the last Sun Elves. They adopted my mother who was an elf. My father was a pure elf as well. As am I." Then she concluded, "You need not worry of me being 'complex.' " The elf girl then looked at the ground out of disappointment due to Telos being able to see her just the tadest bit upset. "I only wanted to find someone who know of powers, magic, anything. Now that I have, I do not like seeing these people any more...May we talk somewhere else?" She asked, lifting her ice blue eyes to meet his. |

“Indeed? Such complexity… Fascinating. I am always fascinated on how genes between different humanoid races mingled with each other. Elves, for example, are always a dominant trait represented within a humanoid’s bloodline… You must have inherited much of your mother’s looks.” He concluded in Elven as she looked at him with her cold, blue eyes. Indeed, the eyes were similar to what he once had, but all the icy blue eyes met were a pair of dark, black eyes like the deepest of voids. “Very well, if you wished to talk somewhere else, follow me. Indeed, the ignorance of these humans can prove to be unnerving sometimes.” He nodded to her as he turned and started to walk to what seemed to be an empty hallway. That part of the wall was empty and was only there because of an error in the building’s design. It will lead to a dead-end, and certainly, there would be no one there. There, they could converse in safety and silence. When he reached there, he rested his back on one side of the walls and have his arms crossed, waiting for the elf to follow. He looked at his reflection on one of the nearby glass windows that showed the city outside. He still looked like what he was of fifteen years of age, young and innocent. He wondered how many had he fooled with an innocent face such as his... How many had ignored the bloody hands that he hid behind his back… Edited by Silencedfaith, Oct 25 2009, 08:31 AM.
