A Warning Against Avarice The demon hides within shadows Waiting, dreaming, scheming It spoke to me and asking for my aid But I denied it and showed it away It offered me a trade and I turned around It offered me a fortune, an endless supply of gold I moved closer to listen and hear him out He bid me closer and I obeyed He then ripped my heart out and left me to decay Now I exist in a place of fire and brimstone I will be here for the longest of times Thus I have but one lesson to give: Beware the price of avarice no matter how glamorous it may seem...
