"We the members of Steronex Corporation welcome you to our central hub. Here we work on secret projects such as our 'Stero Serum' and our time travel devices. We owe our success to the esteemed magiscientist Colonel Galrick Frost, who first discovered time travel during WWII. Our devices are based on his original designs. We have called you here in order to give you a mission of the utmost importance. A recent test subject of the 'Stero Serum' named Zack Weldman has lost his mind and stolen one of our time travel devices. We don't know why, but he seems to be going far into the past. Here take these..." The employee gives Tyder and Rion each a silver pocket watch. "These are our new time travel devices. They have been set to lock-on to Zack's watch. Wherever he goes you will follow. You must capture him and bring him back alive. However he has enhanced abilities because of the serum, so we are sending Chain Nordenfelt, another one of our test subjects with you. His training and abilities are nearly as good as Zack's, so he will be infinitly useful to you. When you are done in one area you will return here to requip yourselves. Just in case time is changed for the worse, this room is under timelock. That way you can always come back. Now go equip yourselves for the Battle of Thermopylae in Greece during 480 BC." The employee directs Tyder and Rion to weapons lockers. "Good luck on your mission." Rion walks to the one of the lockers and opens it up revealing a bunch of old style as well as new weapons. Rion takes out a red sheath from the locker and pulls out the sword. It has his name on it and everything. So, he decides to take it and puts the sheath around his waist walking to the end of the weapons lockers and waits for Tyder to arrive at the end. Chain also walks over to the lockers and pulls out a spartan sword and shield. "These should do nicely. Rion, Tyder, be careful about what you bring with you. You could greatly affect the flow of time. That includes clothing." The Steronex employee walks over to the team. "There are changing stalls in the other side of the room. I recommend wearing a Grecian tunic." "Fine, whatever and do not tell me what to do ya, freak." Rion orders as he walks into the next room. Completely Sane Tyder grins as he pulls out 2 Twin swords, his prefered weapons of choice. "Go in, kill him, get out. Easy, quick and simple." His ulterior motives to the trip would have to wait till he came across them, or stole Zack's watch after killing him. Tyder dons a Grecian Tunic and slips the blades into two sheaths, one on each side before following Rion into the next room. (my characters current sanity changes every 5 posts by the decision of dice! just so you know, which Envy already does ) Rion also puts on his Grecian tunic and wraps the red sheath around his back, proceeding to the next room where they were about to travel from. "Now what?" Rion asked as they entered a large room where there was much high tech equipment and gadgets. "So, should we go or wait for the other guy, Tyder?" Tyder walks in as Rion finishes his sentence and sighs. "Patience is a virtue though I've never been one for them. Lets leave... preferably quickly." Last thing we wanted was to lose his hold upon his sanity before they left. He glanced at the various objects in the room with a blank expression upon his face. Chain walks into the room wearing a Grecian tunic. On his back he has a Spartan sword and shield as well as twin combat knives in his belt. "Right, lets get going." The employee calls to the team from the other room,"I am about to activate your watches... There, the watches are now activated. Just click the button on the side and you'll be sent to Ancient Greece. Be careful you may come into contact, scratch that, you will come into contact with Persian soldiers. After you are done come back here by clicking the watch again. owever there is a one day recharge period. Keep that in mind when you jump. Good Luck!" The team each press the buttons on their stopwatches and are sent back in time. They all travel through space and time seeing the portals to the past and future as they are traveling. Rion looks to his left and sees a portal that has darkness covering it. He would stop to see it but their watches were designed for a specific time period and they couldn't stop. He decided he would check that out later. The team emerges from the time stream in the middle of a battle between a multitude of Spartans and Persians. "Wow, this seems intense...Where do we go throughout all this madness?" Rion asked surprised. "It is imperative that we do not affect pre-ordained events," states Chain. But as he says so several Persian soldiers attack the team, "However in this case i think we can make an exception." Chain takes his sword and shield off his back and rams one of the attacking Persians with his shield, while slashing another with his sword. "Too easy." Rion takes out his sword and slashes another soldier and blocks another soldier with his shield and then kicks him away. "Why is this much more easy than I thought it would be?" Rion asked as another soldier came at him and he blocked him and kicked him away. "This much, much too easy, Chain." "Yeah I know. These Persians are way too weak." Chain cuts down three more Persians. "But they should be stronger don't you think?" Rion asked a gigantic persian appeared and almost cleaved Rion's head off with a gigantic axe. Rion manages to block it and he yells to Chain, "Finish it! What are you waiting for? Me to show you up?" Chain drops his weapons and jumps onto the giant's back. The giant thrashes around to try to knock Chain off, but Chain holds on tight. Then Chain grasps the giant's neck and plunges one of his combat knives into its throat. Chain removes the knife and jumps down as blood gushes from the giant's throat and soaks Chain's face and tunic. "Nice, now let me finish it!" Rion yells as he jumps into the air and slashes the giant down the middle killing the beast. "I know he was already dead, I just like to see something like that big fall by my hands." The giant falls to the ground as his body explodes and inards of the beast splash all over Rion's sword. "Blood...It smells oddly sastisfiying isn't it?" "You're really messed up, aren't you?" asks Chain. "You know it!" Rion says as he moves along but stops and asks, "Where to next?" A powerful Spartan warrior walks up to the team. "I am Leonidas, King of Sparta. I have seen your might in battle and I am impressed. I would be honored if you would join myself and these 300 Spartans in battle against the Persians." Chain whispers to Rion, "We shouldn't change history any more than we already have. Remember our mission, we need to find Zack." "You know what, Leonidas? We'll go with anyway." Rion whispers to Chain, "You apparently don't know me very well do you?" Chain whispers back, "Fine, we can help. But we can't change the overall events of the battle. Alright?" Leonidas speaks once again, "They will arrive at dawn. Rest and prepare yourselves for the battle ahead." Chain walks over to a wall of rock and sits down. "Let's hope Zack is among them," mutters Chain. |
