They stood rock solid there, the Mitsukai brothers stared transfixed. They knew what lie beyond the huge mosaic door. It was a large arch shaped door, in it was a collection of things both good and evil from throught time, never ending, and at the top, were lay the future, there was a new form of evil and good growing. The council had never been in such a desperate rush before to organize everyone. They looked back, they were in a alley in London, the streets quiet and abandoned by human life. "Well to think, we havent been in London in years, and now we are here again, its to find the council." said Joukai. 'I know but we will see it again, not afterwards, but soon" said Kuro. They walked towards the door, it opened slowly matching to their steps, they took one last look behind them, to see the door close out the last light that shined in from the world. They walked down torch light corridors. They saw a few pale faces, they knew most of them, but their faces clung to the shadow even in the light. They reached a huge court chamber. It was made of dark onyx and shinning gold. The onyx was strong and without a scratch. The gold shinned brilliantly and managed to hold itself up although it look incredible delicate. They saw the crowd break to let them in. The eyes of the room flew towards them. The stood before three podiums, one black, one gold, and one a mixture of both. They stared at the council showing no fear. The council was made of some of the eldest and strongest of the bloodline. Everyone esle was to be witnesses, there was a irrating and unsetlling silence. Young, old, male, female, child, adult, knew the seriousness of the situation. "Hello Sasuga, Warui, Kinkou" said the brothers "Ah, so the brothers grace us with their presents" said Kinkou "Couldnt have come sooner?" said Warui "Shh, Warui, We thank you both for comming but we must get to the matter at hand" added Sasuga "Yes, you well know, what awaits us, we need to know what action to take to preserve the clan" said Kinkou The brother made a slight pause and then replied " We are going to keep a balance" "What?" shouted Sasuga and Warui "We cant lose ourselves to the dark" shouted Sasuga "We cant lose ourselves to the light" shouted Warui "We understand your consern, but let us..." spoke the brother "No" shouted Sasuga and Warui "How can you let everything destroyed by the dark Kuro, think of the clan, think of where your power comes from" said Sasuga "And you, Joukai, dark flows through your viens and feeds your power, and your going to let heroes of this war, trap you, tell you, that their laws are now for you once the battle is over?"said Warui "Shut up" screamed the brother, their eyes raged with fury, Joukai's was dark and pouring out a black mist, Kuro blinding with shining light. "Who are you to make us choose our path, to choose between each other, we know what we must do, we will even it, but remember out of everyone in this room we are the only ones who your powers are weak to" screamed the brothers again. They eyes returned to normal but they glared at the council. Everyone in the room was rigid, fear controlled them, and their eyes glued to the councils next move. "We have a deal then, you will never let the balance tip, but you will have to come back, we must speak of your punishment later" said Kinkou. They knew Kinkou was the only one, besides the brothers in the clan, to have the thought of nuetrality in his mind. His face was old and blank, he showed only a small smile but they couldnt tell if that was only for appearences. The other two were boiling over in their place. They knew what the brothers said was true, but they had some content knowing no one side was on the edge of dissappearing. The brothers turned their backs on the council and walked out. The crowd stunned, to defy the council was setting your life to be doomed, and to rudely walk out was another. As the were walking a small boy walked up to them, wearing a big grin. His dirty blond hair and blue eyes, he was happily running to keep up with them as they walked. "Hello Alec" said the brothers "You guys were so cool, I was wondering.." he spoke but suddenly spoke off pace "I know that but, I really want to help, please no, I can do something, anything" The brothers stopped infront of the door and looked at Alec "Where you just?" spoke Kuro " Reading our minds, your powers have improved alot Alec" added Joukai "Yeah, Ive grown, two hundred years can help alot, I guess Ill see you around, just call and Ill come" replied Alec They stood, knowing Alec heard their answer and walked out the doors. The looked around and realized they were at the opening of a cave in the side of a mountain, surrounded by a forest. "Uh, I miss London already" said Joukai "Yeah I know, so we have a few centuries before we can do anything, what do you want to do in the mean time?" replied Kuro "Well first I guess we can have some fun before we have to wait" answered Joukai "Ill race you" shouted Joukai as he flew into the sky "Im going to get you" shouted Kuro as he quickly followed They flew off, trying to enjoy themselves before they knew what they would have to do when the time came. -The end of the story, but the begining of something esle- Edited by Black_Chidori, Jan 10 2009, 01:39 PM.
