Sure, Both magic and alchemy have the pros and cons but lets look at them

MAGIC

Pros

1. Magic has been around for a longer time, and is more called upon in pvp battles and dungeons.
2. Magic has many spells, and some are really power that deal tons of damage.
3.It looks awesome!
Cons
1.The Cost of Mana is extremely high for higher level/powered spells(ex. Rank F thunder takes 48(i think) mana the first time and decreases each time to somewhere around 112 mana taken total.)
2.Time to charge High powered spells is slower than some alchemy skills.
3.Most spells do better/need a wand cost around 12k and up(housing gets cheap sometimes)

ALCHEMY

Pros
1.It just came out, and is making people spend more money then they would on magic.
2.Alchemy is very strong and useful by means of attack and timing.
3.Alchemy, you can make new stuff out of old.
Cons
1.Failure of synthesis, and fragmentation
2.Skill loading time
3.Low attack at low ranks

My honest opinion, i choose Magic over Alchemy, but if you run out of mana, alchemy is a good back up to have.

the loading time decreases significantly just as it does with magic at higher ranks.

all skills have low damage at rank F-D >.>

Go try refining and you'll see what failing is really like

Agentknife (spoony) sumed it up with what I'd add to this matter. But you say groups, that's mostly for lightning, adv magic users or fusion.

And here's a thing about magic and alchemy, isn't the mana potions the same as crystals?
If you take both of those off the lists of each, magic still rules over alchemy.

*confiscates wands and cylinders of all the people in the room* There now we don't have to worry about anyone killing each other.....at least with alchemy or magic anyway.
