I believe SM is the best game in the series. It really was a remarkable game for its time and is easily one of the SNES's crowning moments. The game just pulled you into Samus's world and made you feel like you were there. The mysterious atmosphere and a brilliant ominous soundtrack gave the game and possibly the series a feel that would live on in the hearts of every Metroid fan. Without a doubt, Super Metroid is one of the most unique and spectacular forays into 2D platforming gaming has ever seen. |
