" I don't. My parents died at a young age. And..... I can't remember from there."

He frowned.

"You can't remember...?" Esa replied as she sighed. "I'm... sorry to hear that." Those were the only words that could pour from her mouth...

Neliar let out a sound somewhere between a growl and a sigh. "You fool. I expect no lack of concentration while we do this, and if you begin to leave our intended path, I will cut you down myself." The Hontil made his way through the village, smoke trailing from his nostrils in annoyance.

~Aulix~

"Taking it easy is one thing, but being downright disrespectful is a different story." The seventeen year old stated, sighing soon after. The Lycan nodded in agreement with Neliar, "I'm a no nonsense kind of girl. I have no reason to NOT be serious." Aulix stated clearly, her ears twitched with each sound that entered within them. She followed behind and grabbed her paintbrush from it's slot on the side of her backpack, she then stuck the end of it into her mouth out of habit.

A rainbow strand of hair curled into her face suddenly. Aulix quickly brushed it back and quickly became engulfed in the serene, yet muggy atmosphere they had wandered into. 'How much further?' Aulix thought, beginning to grow slightly annoyed with having to be accompanied by the group.

A burst of laughter exploded from Frost as he listened to Nil, he almost tumbled as he forced himself to regain composure.

“You’re… so… corny!” Frost chuckled regaining his breath.

Staring at the rest of the group, he began to wonder: When did I enjoy company this much? It was an unfamiliar feeling but at the moment it felt pleasant, as long as the laughter continued to appear. He began to carefully throw his arm around loosening the stiffness that clumped together in his arm. The healing had done its deed, the wounds were closing up, but the scars remained.

“One more to the count eh?” smiling at the fresh scar that now lay deep beneath his skin.

“Onward!” he beamed pointing at the sky that he shared with the people now close to him.

3/8/11--One Year of Dragon Age II
~Nil~

"Hmph, sounds like Laeia put some happy pills in your drink recently, Frost." Nil said over his shoulder to the Veldekian, finally satisfied someone here wasn't dead serious. "Now, now Neliar. I'm the only one who has a map of Unend Lichen with special bonus features of hideouts and secret passages throughout the city." He made a gesture, tapping his temple.

"And it's all in here. Well in a glyph the Veldekian leaders implanted in my brain. So if you kill me, you lose critical information. I also doubt the Veldekians will just willingly give away such info to a random Hontil that's seeking vengeance." Nil explained to the Hontil, stepping through the swampy landscape.

A few minutes later and the group came upon a flat landscape with many destroyed trunks and very small streams. Weapons laid everywhere, either stuck in the ground or rusted and broken on the marshlands. "In front of us is the Blade Marshes." Nil said like a touring guide, pointing towards the area.

"Here the last of the elves one hundred a sixty years ago made their last stand against the Namuh invaders. If you examine any of the blades you can see that they're all Elven weapons, but no touchy-touchy. I'm not the superstitious type but I'd hate to disturb a restless spirit and all that jazz." The Legionnaire advised, walking further into the Blade Marshes. "Meiju! Oh, Meiiiijuuuu! Come here, sexy, sexy, sexy!" He called, like he was trying to get a dog's attention.

A figure then stepped out of the fog. "What the hell kind of call was that?" The male voice asked, hints of young age and brashness in his tone. "The awesome kind, good sir!" Nil said, drawing his chokuto. "Not many people come to the Blade Marshes. Who are you?" He asked, getting into a stance. "Hm... Meiju... Ah yes, the Lycan I just captured." The young man said, raising his fist.

Nil then took note of the studded black mask around the man's mouth and jaw. "What have you done with her!?" Nil demanded, angry at this turn of events. "Nothing. Yet." The other man said coldly. "Who the hell are you kid?" Nil asked. "The name's Kai the Necromancer. Or Strategist if you prefer a less mythical title."

"Kai the Necromancer... the leading tactician of the SLA." Nil stated, recalling the name. "The one and only. I could totally go in-depth about the plans I'm doing right now, being in the Blade Marshes and capturing your friend here like any other villain... But I won't!" Kai slammed his palms together and made a hand sign. "Deadly spirits rise up and consume them all! Hands of Death!" He shouted, placing his hands on the ground.

Suddenly three arms made of bones appeared around everyone's feet. The clawed skeletal hands lunged at the group members. "Whoa!" Nil slashed the first one and stepped away from where he was so the other two would not grab him. He then blasted them with a ball of energy. "How did he...?" Nil glanced at Kai then ran to the others to help them.

~Aulix~

The young Lycan was captivated by the pure beauty of the area they were walking through. Her rainbow colored eyes scanned the area as if they were dancing, yet they slowed as the group reached the Blade Marshes. She glanced at each individual weapon for quite some time until she moved on to the next. Sometime in between her captivation with the area, she had taken the paintbrush out of her mouth and held it in her hand tightly. Her ears perked up and her tail stiffened, "be on your lookout, I hear something." Aulix hissed in a hushed tone, turning towards the sound.

She began to growl as the younger man revealed himself. Each growl seemed to shake her whole body. "What a cheap move!" She snarled as the necromancer called forth the spirits. Aulix yelped as the spirit's hands wrapped around her legs. She snarled, looking at the man with intensity. The rainbow fringe of hair seemed to glow oddly as she slashed at the hands with fluid strokes of her paintbrush. Each slash of the brush imitated the slash of a sword, cutting the bindings away.

"Necromancers are so damn cheap." She snarled, throwing an almost demonic look at Kai before following Nil's lead and helping the other group members.

"Hmph!" Neliar swung his sword from his back and cleaved the hands from all three arms in a single swipe. "Rebel scum!" He roared, his fury unleashed at last. "I'm going to tear you limb from limb! For my father, Almaz the Inferno!" Inhaling deeply, the Hontil blasted a wave of flame at Kai, the fires preparing to burn the necromancer to ash.

The momentary happiness disappeared in an instant as creatures of the undead now replaced the wonderful image. Frost drew his revolvers instantaneously and began to fire at the white bones gripping his legs controlling his movement.

His smile faded away with the rapid gunshots; as if he was a robot he followed the training that carved into his soul and began to melt away in to the darkness of the forest, hidden from the enemy.

"Target Lock-on." Whispering as his very being melted into the darkness.

Esa nodded in understanding as she sighed inwardly. She did not know how to react. This man... he was embracing her as if he already shared a connection, and yet they hardly have known each other. It was just all too surreal. "...We should probably get some rest. Do you need me to pay for your room?" She suddenly asked, her voice on the verge of expressing her forlorn troubles.

" I can't sleep."

He said simply as he continued to hug her.
" I'm too worried about you."

"My fate is sealed and you know that." Esa explained as she sighed. "You mustn't worry. Think of your duty." With that she stood, breaking herself from the hold and walked to the outside. "I need a drink."

Sam slowly backed up to Esa's bed. He fell back on it and stared up at the ceiling. Just staring at it as Esa left.
" I'm a man with no past. Ensuring I have no future. How can I go on without a purpose."

He said to himself.
" I just trying to figure how I actually feel about her."

After about thirty minutes, Esa returned with a headache and a slash across her face, which was dripping with blood. "...Why are you still in my room?" She could only ask.

Sam begun as he sat up and saw what condition Esa was in. He jumped up and ran to her side.
" What the hell happened to you!?"

He demanded as he grabbed both shoulders.

Laeia treaded on silently, listening to the bickering of her group. Being in the forest had always comforted her, but it had a different aura this time. She could feel that the wind was changing, urging them to go forward. Laeia observed everyone happily chattering among themselves when she noticed that Frost's injuries were finally healed.

"...sounds like Laeia put some happy pills in your drink recently, Frost."

At this comment, a sudden rush of heat spread across her face and she looked away - taken aback by such an unexpected reply. Aulix cautioned all of them of some sort of danger lurking around, but the warning came delayed.

"What the hell?!" Laeia spat.

She looked around wildly at her companions and saw Aulix battling the spirit's hands away. A brief coldness surrounded her as the spirit began to ensnare her. She fought back by releasing a blazing amount of energy throughout her body. With the distracting this provided, she fled away and surged upwards towards the sky, landing upon the branches of an Oak tree.

Damned necromancer. I'll take care of him.

Laeia whipped out her bow and directed an arrow embellished with the word Power from the Elven language and waited patiently, hidden among the trees, for the perfect moment.

Esa turned around to look at him. "...What do you think?" She asked with a sigh. "...Just over the battle. I gave my opinion, some one threatened to rape me, and I gave them a piece of my mind in a brawl."
