~~~Matthew "Valor" Tenue~~~
Valor sat in the rafters of the chapel. It was raining outside. He didn't see Shinta... He didn't see any of Terios' children or grandchildren. Somber. He thought. It had been a long time. Longer than any Angelus should have lived, yet... It was hard to believe. One of his dearest friends, gone.
The choir chanted a sad hymn.
Valor frowned as he watched the proceedings. He was welcome, yet... He didn't want to show his face. Even if Terios was his oldest friend, Valor didn't want to show his face right now.
~~~Terios Fang Raine~~~

The man stood on a cliff, far from Venezia Chapel where his oldest companion, Valor was and where his wife's funeral was taking place. But to him, she had not died. He couldn't accept it. He wouldn't acccept it.

So now he waited, her emerald flute in hand. Waiting for someone that wasn't going to come.

"He... Isn't coming..." Valor said, his eyes glowing. No one is... He thought, flying from the chapel to Terios' location. "Why weren't you there, Terios..." He asked. "It would have been the least you could have done to see her off... You were the one who loved her most... You didn't even tell anyone, did you? I was the only one there. Not one person was there. Shinta... Your kids... None of them. What are you thinking, friend?" Valor asked, walking to Terios' side.

"I should be the one asking what you're thinking." Terios said to Valor, turning to him. The light-purple haired man could see the darkness in his old friend's eyes.

"Reis is not dead. I cannot and will not believe this lie." He explained. "I'm waiting for her now. She'll come. I do have her flute after all."

"Terios..." Valor said. "You were there... You saw it. I know that you can't just erase the pain, but it hurts me too. Come on. Come help me. You and Shinta are the only people I can rely on. Don't you want to help our world?" He said softly.

"Time will heal this. Just come with me. Your memories with her will always be with you after all." He forced a smile.

"I refuse." Terios said curtly, glaring at the other man. "There is no pain to erase. I don't wish to help the world against whatever the hell has come up this time. I don't care." He then wrapped both of his hands around the hilts of his daggers.

"If you don't leave then I'll permenantly show you the way out."

"Terios..." Valor said. "Come off it. You know I haven't bested you at anything in over two hundred years, and you know it isn't a crisis or anything like that. I just don't want to lose you as well. Come on, you're my only friend now. I don't want to lose you both at once."

"You come off it! You haven't lost anyone today! Reis is not dead! She just can't be, alright?! So stop lying." Terios then drew out both of his daggers, intending to use them.

"Guess I'll have to knock some sense and truth into you!" The derailed minded Raine charged Valor, slashing at him once with each dagger. Targeting vital spots.

Valor dodged one blow, but the other slashed his face. He didn't flinch, but his blood flew to the ground, however, the wound immediately disappeared, not leaving a wound. "Terios... You don't need to do this." Valor said. "Come on! You can still live. If you continue deluding yourself..." He looked down. "You'll just be dragging yourself through a tar you'll never be able to free yourself from." He looked up. "Don't do this!"

"You're the one deluding yourself! I don't have time to be talking to liars!" Terios raised his leg, about to kick Valor in the side. The other man could tell Terios was not holding back on this attack...

"Tch..." Valor said, trying to dodge. However, Terios was far too close for a proper dodge, and instead took the hit and skidded several feet, using a arm to brace himself. "T-Terios!" He exclaimed. "Just stop this!" He raised a hand. "I don't want to fight you!"

What is going on... Friend? Valor thought.

"Well I do!" Terios shouted angerly, charging at the other man again and slashing furiously. "Extension!" The tips of his daggers molded with physical seventh fonons, adding length to the daggers making them sword length now.

Valor raised both hands, his spectral swords appearing in each to guard the blow. "Just stop this... Please, Terios... Buddy. This isn't like you. Quit messing around..." He didn't make an attempt to fight back, but still defended himself.

"Get it through your thick skull! I'm not messing around!" Terios said, doing a sword rain which was blocked. "Icicle rain!" Several shards of ice then descended upon Valor.

Valor raised an enflamed right hand and melted the icicles before they could harm him. "Why are you doing this!? It's not like you!" He said as his swords rose from his hands and crossed behind him. "I just wanted to talk! Not... This."

"I don't care! You're a liar! Reis isn't dead! She can't be!" Terios shouted as he charged Valor relentlessly once again, mixing in punches and kicks this time. A glyph then surrounded his feet when he jumped away from Valor. "Eruption!" Fire rose out from under the other man's feet...

From Valor's left hand, a faint haze bellowed and protected him with a cold haze. "Dammit! Terios, listen to me! You saw it! What are you trying to do to yourself!!??" He moved back, his coattails slightly singed. "... I thought you were stronger than this... That you would take it better... YOU'RE BEING CHILDISH, DAMMIT!"

"You're being childish! You're the one who actually believes Reis is dead and she isn't!" Terios shouted. "Chaotic Fang!" He sent out three demon fangs and followed by him running at the same speed as his Fangs. Terios unleashed his Angelus wings, jumping up and slicing downward once Valor had defended himself from Terios' projectiles.

"I'm being realistic!" Valor said, blocking the slash with his arm. He grunted and winced. "Terios..." He shook his head. "I... AHHH!" He screamed and unsealed his wings. "I'm sick of this! Forget it!!" He flew off.

~~One month later~~

~~Werites Beacon~~

At a bar, Valor was sitting, though he was hardly recognizable. His coat was a mess, as was his hair. The place where he'd been slashed a month before was left unrepaired. He didn't care. "'Nother un..." He muttered.

"Look, until you pay for the last eight drinks, I'm not getting you another-ACK!" The bartender said, though he stopped as a blue sword was suddenly at his throat.

"'Nother un. Now." Valor said.

"R-right away!" The bartender said.

At another table, several people were talking. They looked at the bulletin board, then back to the bar, and back again.

WANTED:

Man known as "Valor"

The picture was Valor's face, naturally.

Under, were the words 'Dead or Alive,' and the reward: 50,000,000,000 Gald.

The description was for massive property damage, drunken disorder, and several injuries.

The men at the table sat up as Valor received his drink. Valor started drinking, but found himself surrounded by the men.

"Well, we got a lot of nerve, don't we?" One of them asked.

Valor only continued to drink, ignoring the men around him.

"You know, you're worth quite the pretty penny. Hell, we could all retire if we brought you in. Hell, our grandkids could retire too!" Another said.

Valor still ignored them.

"Hey! You listening!?" One man said. He threw a punch.

It connected, throwing Valor to the ground from the stool he sat on.

"Heh! How'd such a weak punk like this get such a bounty?" The man who'd thrown the punch asked.

The five men began circling Valor like a pack of wolves.

~Nym~

The woman with silver hair/white and a matching outfit looked upon the scene in the bar. "Could that honestly be.... the Valor?" Nym said outloud to herself, getting out her spear.

"Hey scum! Leave him alone! He's worth way more than sum of money alive and left alone!" Nym said indignantly, holding her spear with both hands now.
