Well, I've always had an idea for a story that's kept me from dying from boredom is various places. I've decided to write my ideas for this story down in the next few weeks, to keep myself busy before Chirstmas.

Introduction:

What is the connection between a tribal boy, a city girl, a successful business man and woman with gambling debts? Now you may say that the woman is the man's wife and the girl's their daughter and their sponsoring the boy, but you'd be wrong. You may say that the girl, man, and woman are all visitors to the boy's village. You'd be wrong again. You may say they have absolutely no connection what so ever. Even that's wrong. No, the one thing that these people have in common is what we all have in common, the elements that make up our world.

Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water, these are the things that keep our world together. Combinations of these elements make up every day things such as storms, steel and energy. It may not seem like it at times of industry, but these elements grow stronger everyday. They grow so strong that at times these elements must manifest themselves in a pure form on earth. This pure form is the basis of what the world will be like for a hundred years. This can be balls, crystals, toys, fun things of peace. However, what happens when this energy takes another form...the form of a blade.

Chapter 1: An Everlasting Fire

Deep in the desert Archland, a small native tribe is having a festival celebrating the coming of a hero. This hero, Rutio, has conquered a neighboring tribe an is now with his family. Rutio has a small family which includes his wife Jemary and his 14-year-old son Juan. The three had decided to get away from the festival early to spend time together. And to spend time together meant a sparring match between Rutio and Juan. The two stood across from eachother, swords in hand and charged.

A sparring match in Rutio's tribe was no less than a battle, only death wasn't the common ending. A trip to the medical hut was however. Rutio charged his son as fast as he could and sliced his blade across Juan's arm. Juan retailated with a stab to the wrist and a swift kick to the shin. Ruito went down to this hit but slammed his son away.

"Juan, you must fight with honor, using such tricks shows your own weakness."
"But if I win, does it not matter father?"
"Juan, fighting with honor matters most of all. If you cannot fight with honor, your enemies will do the same. There are many people who could easily defeat you with tricks."
"Could I not just think of better tricks?"
"And if your enemy thinks the same way? You'll battle endlessly with trickery and lies, no honor at all."
"Is there a problem with that?"
"Yes. Your soul is a fire that is corrupted by trickery and lies. The only way to build this fire is to fight with honor at all times. If you don't, our god won't except your soul in the afterlife."
"Hmm...I guess your right father..."

Juan got up and readied his sword. He match his sword with his father's.
Bang, clank, SHING!
The two swords continued to echo through the fields. Juan eventually pushed his father's sword out of the way and punch him to the chest. Rutio went to the ground and laughed.

"That's more like it!" Rutio got up to charge his son once again, but was stoped by a loud crash and explosion. Jemary pointed towards the village. The village had a large pillar of fire coming up from it. In panic, Juan ran towards the village.

"Juan, NO! Come back!!" cried Rutio.

Rutio and Jemary followed their son into the village. The pillar seemed to coming from the village square. Everyone was crowding around, with Juan in front. From the panic, a man knocked Juan into the pillar. Juan burned as he touched the flame, but nothing marked his body. In the flame, he felt the hilt of a blade.
